Alright, not sure is this intentional or not, but it's a weird behavior.   Whenever I change a layer opacity on a file, upon switching to another file, the layer opacity change on the previous working file will be applied to the new/current file that I just switch over to. Exact process, I typed in a number on the layer opacity (without hitting enter), then switching to another file, the opacity change end up applying to both files

Every time I export a new image, the quality goes back to "Good". This is very bad, since sometimes users might end up forgetting to switch it, which ends up in a super low quality image.This happens during the same Photoshop session, and as well as a new session.   I have tested this with several 10mb images, as well as 500kb images.   Side note:  Having a percentage quality option from 0% to 100% is much better than these new options. "Good" is actually pretty "Poor" in my opinion, there's no way an image exported as "Good" should ever be pixelated.

I recently moved from an Intel Mac to a Silicon Mac and having a bug where the Save for Web: "Save Optimized As" dialog keeps opening in the bottom left corner of the screen, rather than the last location that i had it open before (which seems to be the normal functionality based on how other dialogs retain their last open position).    I am using save for web because I use image slices for game development. I see save for web is now legacy, is there another way i should save slices?   Machine: Macbook Pro 16 Apple m1 max chip, MacOS 12.0.1 Adobe Photoshop for Apple Silicon v23.0.2   Steps to reproduce:  CMD+OPTION+SHIFT+S (Save for web) Click Save button Save Optimized As file system dialog opens to choose where to save files. This window now always opens in the bottom left corner of the screen all the way at the edge of the screen. Photoshop 22.4.2 crash opening heic files. Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 CPU Ryzen 3900 GPU Geforce GTX 1650

I have 12.3.1 Montereay on my mac & & PH 23.3.1 have odd disjointed image or black screen coming up whe opening files All the layers are there but what give?? 

Brush strokes are applied to the canvas exactly one-half pixel down and one-half pixel to the right of where the brush cursor is. The same thing happens when stroking a path. This can make it difficult to do detail work. I am zoomed to 1600% here. I had to draw the cursor because printscreen didn't capture it. Image is not available I have noticed several other small inaccuracies. Here I made a black pixel with a 1x1 path around it, then I rotated the image 45 degrees. Image is not available   Image is not available When viewing an image at less than 100%, there are some alignment issues between layers. I drew two red circles on the background with the pencil, then made a new layer with two white circles. I made a new layer and drew two white circles offset by a couple of pixels, then nudged the layer back over the original red circles. (the two white circle layers are now identical) When viewed at 50%, I get different results, though. Both screenshots have the red layer turned

Hi I am trying to save my layers as a GIF in Photoshop. The layers are JPEG files I've drawn myself so aren't from an existing video.   I am using "Export save for web" but everytime I try to save the file an error message pops up. It reads "Could not complete this operation. An unknown erro has occured."   I have tried reducing the pixel size so the image is now 566x800px, but that hasn't made a difference. The error message still appears.    Can anyone please help?   {updated title - PS-72959}

Dear Adobe Concerns, I am an Adobe user since 1994. Recently, I am having a problem regarding document/image size issues which I have never faced earlier or I have never recognized it. I already talked with two college professors who are specially teaching on Adobe Softwares if they can help me out of this problem but unfortunately they failed to resolved the issues and they never recognized this issue too.   Actually, I have opened a document sized 45mm x 45mm with 300 ppi for one of my client. After opened the document, when I am checking the image size under the "Image" menu, it's showing 44.96 x 44.96 instead of 45 x 45mm, and for this reason, I failed to upload that image to a perticular website as they were asking for the file size 45 x 45mm. Since upgrading to Windows 11, if I select an area in Photoshop and then copy it, it causes parts of the Windows UI to "flicker" - see the attached video. The flickering starts as soon as I copy something, and persists until I sign out or restart Windows. It only affects certain parts of the Windows UI - the notification area (system tray), the Windows Task Manager, various applications' drop-down menus and dialogs, but not (for example) the Start menu or the Taskbar: This happens on both Photoshop 2021 and 2022. I was previously running Photoshop on Windows 10, on exactly the same hardware, with no problems at all.   GPU compatibility check looks fine:  but the flickering still happens even if I've unchecked "Use graphics processor": I'm absolutely at my wits' end trying to work out what's causing this. Has anybody encountered anything similar, or got any ideas what might be causing it? I can't really think of anything else to try other than downgrading back to W

After updating to Photoshop 23.2, if you have a file previously saved (example .psb) with adjustment layers like Curves or Channel Mixer, the image opens up with strange colors in the part of image where the adjustments impacts. To fix the issue, I need to go to adjustment layer, turn it off (via eye icon) and turn it back on.   Photoshop team, could you please fix this bug so I do not have to use above hack on my previously saved images with adjustmensts when I open them.   System Windows 11  

Bug or not. Preference to not append file extension in CS4 vrs CS5. In CS4 if you turned the append extension to never, it it wouldn't append the extension for the file type in the save as dialog. If you typed in one yourself it would ignore what you type cause it just didn't care. ie. i have a file and i name it file.eps it would save the file as file.eps. I had to manually type the extension, something i prefer and the reason why i had the never save file extensions chosen in the preferences. In CS5 with the same preference set up if you type file.eps it removes the .eps from the save as dialog. The first time this happened i went hmmm retyped it and hit save. It saved the file with out the extension and overwrote my working layered file with a flattened eps file with NO prompting or warning. This is very concerning to me.

I've bee working on this project all week and had no issues. But when I recently tried to open it, it just flat out would not open. No error messages, or anything. Photoshop is fully updated (23.3.1) and I even updated my OS to Monterey to see  if that solved the issue, but it persists. My older PSDC files are opening just fine.   Has anyone else had this issue? Any insight would be much appreciated. Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have to start over from scratch on this.

Version; 22.5.1 OS: Mac Big Sur (11.5) Reproduce: Have a non-retina external monitor connected to a Retina Macbook as the main screen. Open a file. It will open at 100% but with the window sized smaller than the image. I have a problem with selection from multiple paths in Photoshop CC 2020. Say, I have one closed path and click Load path as a selection button which results in selection. But the behavior changes with the number of paths greater than one on one layer. The button deselects paths but loads no selection. Please fix it.

Recently, whenever I make a change to a Photoshop file that is saved on Google Drive and then try to save those changes, I keep getting this error: Could not save “(filename)” because of a program error.   We use Google Drive at my job to save and share files between coworkers and computers. It has never been an issue until now.   I either have to delete the original file and save again or save as something else which is annoying and when you're trying to save your work as you go. I don't have any problems saving over a file that is on my hard drive. It's only when saving over a file in Google Drive.   I'm using macOS Catalina (version 10.15.16) and the most current version of Photoshop CC.    There has to be some way to fix this. Help please!

Hello, After updating to Photoshop 21.2.0 (June 2020 release), on a Mac, running 10.14.6, I've encountered a bug toggling between a layer mask and its layer using keyboard shortcuts (Command + \ and Command + ~). After clicking CMD + \ , I am taken to the layer mask, as per usual, but, now it also goes into overlay mode. I have to click \ to get out of overlay mode. This happens on all three Macs, I've used, all on 10.14.6. Thanks, in advance, for checking into this.

Imagine this: You hace a pencil black and white drawing scanned and you want to add colour without destroying the pencil art. So you create a new layer over the background and start painting your colours there, maybe with layer in multiply mode. Then, for some reason, you inadventedly change active layer to background. You keep painting and then realize half of your painting work has been done on the pencil art layer (the background) ruining your work!   The solution is locking the pixels of the pencil art, so, if you inadventedly try to paint on that layer, the cursor will become a forbidden sign and you will get a pop up warning if you try to paint.   The problem is apparently you can't lock the pixels on the beackground even if you have pixel locking (or all locking) activated. This doesn't seem to work in the background layer (maybe because it is not really a layer).   The workaround is create a new layer from the background so pixel locking works, but I think Pixel

I have noticed this inconsistency in Photoshop since version 2020. Try this please: 1.- If we add a GRADIENT FILL LAYER.Among other things we can change the location of the gradient by clicking and dragging on the canvas.2.- But if we enter the gradient editor (although we don't edit anything), we can no longer move the location of the gradient.3.- The simplest way I have found to solve it (on Mac) is to change the application momentarily (Cmd + tab and again Cmd + tab); this unlocks the function, and we can move the gradient again with the mouse. (Other annoying "solution" would be click Ok in the Gradient Fill box dialog and double click the thumbnail of the layer but... no).   I would appreciate if Adobe takes action in this particular issue that we have been dragging at least since PS 2020

CEP 9.0 (Chormium Version: 61.0.3163.91) does not allow the creation of cookies sameSite=None and Secure. For some reason this started happening from April 25th previously it was working fine. I'm not sure if this error is due to an update to Adobe Photoshop.   The cookies sameSite=Strict or sameSite=Lax are allowed, but I require it to be sameSite=None as I am using oidc client js to authenticate with an identity server.   Thank you in advanced.

I'm using Photoshop 23.3.1 on OS X 11.6.5   When making a new layer group that sits below an existing layer group (below, not inside of), if the above layer group has a label color the new layer group is also given that color, when I would expect it to get no color.    How to reproduce error: Open a new PS document. Make a new, empty layer. Place the layer in a layer group. Set the layer group's color to something like Red. Make a new layer below the group, but not inside it. Now with new layer selected, place that new layer into a new group using either the right click menu or the command shortcut CMD+G. The new layer group will form under the previous group, but will also be colored red. If the right click menu is used, the dialogue will show red (or whatever color) selected as the default. This behavior does not seem to happen if you use the group button at the bottom of the panel.  

I rarely use the dissolve mode (especially on layer styles) but I needed it for a pixelart work of mine On the image you can see how the Drop Shadow layer style has sharp 2bit edges in dissolve mode but the Stroke stays anti-alaised.   interestingly if you use the opacity of the layer style, the inner part of the effect dissolves the same way but the edges still stay semi-transparent. I know it's a minor thing but I thought I'd report it.  

When you have 4 documents open and arrange them via Window > Arrange > Tile you get something like this:   (I used the application frame in this example.)   When you now hit Command+0 on one of the documents it zooms to 313 % which is the same as it would do when you only have one document visible on your screen. Which means that the document is displayed a lot too big for the currently given window. I mean yes the command is titled "Fit on Screen" and actually it's still fits on the screen, but nonetheless that's an awkward behavior. I would expect Photoshop to be smart enough, so that it zooms to about 151 % so that the document fit's to the window (like in the manually zoomed example > lower right-hand corner:   Maybe I miss something here, but I my opinion that's more a bug than a feature ...  

Hi, I'd like to report a bug that has been plaguing photoshop for some time. This is to display a histogram for the adjustment layer which is in Clipping Mask mode.   When the adjustment layer is in Clipping mask mode, the histogram that displays in the Properities panel should only be for one layer below. For some reason, all new versions of Photoshop display a histogram for all layers below which I think is a bug and not working properly.   When the adjustment layer is in Clipping mask mode, the histogram should be in Selected Layer mode for the layer below, and it is in Entire Image mode.   As a result, it is impossible to precisely set Levels or Curves, because the histogram does not display the data that the user needs.   Hope something can be done about it.   PS. In the Photoshop CS6 and below this was no issue as everything was working fine with this. 

I encountered this bug while exporting some project files with the Export As dialog. It's seems so easy to encounter, I don't know how I avoided it for so long.   If I have a new Photoshop document and have anything on layer 1, and layer 3 clipped to layer 2 and layer 2 is hidden, then when trying to use Export As, layer 3 is fully visible.   What the output looks like.   What the layers look like   Is anyone else able to recreate this issue?
