I bought a new M1 Mac a few months ago and have updated all of my adobe programs to the latest software (i.e; Photoshop is on 23.2.2). I've been having lots of issues with the application crashing and losing all of my work. The latest issue that caused it to crash is copying and pasting text into a text box. Is anyone else having similar issues, and were you able to resolve it? Thanks.
Something I have yet to figure out is a way to keep the top bar with all the technical options (Filename and associated dropdowns, save button, undo/redo buttons, download/share..that menu bar specifically) stay on-screen permanently. Anytime i want to find it i have to ctrl+/ to open the search bar, then search for undo and bring it up that way. Is there not a way to just keep it there permanently? I use undo/redo and file versions much more often than any other menu that pops up in that place. I'm used to redo being ctrl+y instead of shift+z, and I frequently mess up the ability to even redo anymore with this mis-type, and have lost a lot of progress because of it (which is why I use file versions quite often). Also, a way to change controls and see when/if the document auto-saves would be nice.
As shown in the photo, I'm using an imac27. I connected an iPad Pro to the imac as its second screen, and then dragged Photoshop2023 onto the screen of the iPad Pro, theoretically allowing me to use the apple pencil to draw directly on the screen. But every time I start drawing, Photoshop immediately crashes. It doesn't happen when I don't use apple pencil. I'd like to know the reason and how to solve it. Thank you.

For me, large file format thumbnails (.psb) do not display correctly. I'm running Photoshop version 23.2.1, MacOS Monterey 12.2.1 and have had this problem for several months. An Adobe help tech played with permissions and other solutions today but couldn't fix it. The .psb files display ok at smaller sizes but at larger sizes they display a colorblock full of noise like you'd see on a television screen. While pretty, it's very frustrating to work with because I can't tell which version of the project to click on. Help!!Normal .psd file thumbnails work fine, as do all other thumbnails on the computer. Things I have tried: resaving the files with the most recent version of Photoshop after updating to 23.2.1. Moving the files to another folder that's on the desktop, not in Dropbox, etc. Some file permissions changes. Restarting. Toggling on and off different display types from list to icon. These files were not created on an external drive, but locally. Saving as a new file with a new na
All the time Ctrl+0 worked as expected: Fitting the image left a several pixel margin around the image so the selection and other tools could be clicked slightly outside the image. Now, since vesrion 23.3 the Ctrl+0 is changed: the image fits without leaving the small margin. Without the margin it is impossible to start the selection exactly from the corner of the image, etc. The margin around the image should be restored in an upcoming version. Initially it was introduced for usability purposes.
Since few updates ago, that function just stopped working. Ive deleted all adobe all preferences multiple times. It work the first time and after restart it always opens the last export location. The issues is present on multiple systems (OSX, Intel silicone).

From desktop PS use the blue share button with 'invite to edit' to save a PSDC file to share with a colleague. When that colleague goes to the CC desktop App -> Files -> Shared with me, the time stamp on the new file will be 53 years ago. Timestamp only updates after some new action has updated the file. The problem with this bug is that the person with whom the file was shared then has to scroll through dozens of images to find the new file, when it would be naturally expected that the new file would have the latest current timestop and would show up at the top of the folder as the most recently added or modified item. If that person is someone who is handling multiple files from several different people daily and doesn't yet know what the thumbnail looks like then it can be hard for them to find the file. Expected behaviour - any newly created PSDC file has a current time stamp instead of 53 years ago and can be located easily at the top of the 'shared with you' f
I'm having a really weird issue with Liquify. Two of my students had the same issue today using the tool. Liquify is applied to a smart object as a smart filter, after clicking OK the smart object disappears - there is no image in the thumbnail as well. If I turn off the visibility for the smart filter, the image returns. If I re-enter liquify via the smart filter the smart object is there with the filter applied. I had one of the students send me their file and the same issue appears on my computer (theirs MAC, mine PC) I did manage to get the liquified smart object to appear temporarily by copying the layer, deleting the smart filter on the copied layer and then copying the smart filter from the original layer to the copy. However, once I re-enter liquify on the copied layer and exit, the smart object's visibility is gone again. I've looked at everything and I am stumped. Any thoughts? Thanks
I installed the latest version of Photoshop, then experiemnted with the new HDR feature in Camera RAW. To activate the HDR feature I went to Preferences>File Handling>Camera RAW Preferences>Technology Previews and checked HDR Output. I then went to Prerences>Technology Preview and checked Precise Color Management for HDR Display. I played with the new feature and liked it, but decided that for now I wanted to deactivate it. So I went back into Preferences and unchecked the items I previously had selected. Unfortunately now when importing an image from Camera RAW to Photoshop, the image is highly desaturated and I have very little latitude to recover the sauration. My workaround is to export the image as a .tif file, and then open it in Photoshop. I have uninstalled Photoshop and reinstalled it. I have also reinstalled the previous version of Photoshop. I continue to have this problem. I am running on a 2021 Macbook Pro M1 with 32GB RAM
When I toggle between open Photoshop documents in Full Screen Mode (to view them centered etc) the images and canvas are off screen. I can only see a part of the image and canvas. Images is also cropped. So I'm not able to view the images fully centered to compare them or even view them in Full Screen Mode. I use this feature a lot.Is this a known bug and is there a fix? Photoshop 23.x, 24.x, Windows 10. Open Timeline tab. Set Timeline Frame Rate to 12.5 Create a blank video layer. Paint a few frames to create several altered video frames. Insert or duplicate frames in the middle of the edited layer with some altered video frames still following (e.g. Layers > Video layers > Duplicate Frame). Instead of duplicated frame or an inserted blank frame, all the subsequent frames are deleted. Appears to work correctly when the frame rate is set to 30 FPS.
There's a window about converting '/' to groups in the libraries window that can't be closed or moved, and it has made libraries inaccessible. I've tried restarting Photoshop, but it never goes away.Very frustrating!
"Save As" no longer works after update to Mac Monterey OS When I try to "Save As" I get no result. Normally a dialog box will pop up with format / file location options but it's no longer happening. I am trying to save a .psd file as a .psd file. I have tried going to File / Save As and also the cmd/shift/S keyboard shortcut I am also seeing this behavior in InDesign, but the Save As command works in Illustrator. Mac OS Monterey 12.0.1 Mac Mini 2018 Thanks!
Photoshop 2023, also doesn't work in Photoshop 2020. Windows.Flipping the view should also flip the brush cursor, otherwise the painted stroke does not align with the cursor. Currently it does not do that. (On a similar note, it also doesn't flip the Navigator. But that is less of a pressing issue.)
This is an issue, to varying degrees, with all Adobe apps. I use a M1 Max laptop with two additional montiors. Whenever I switch up monitors (home/work/Cintiq), I have to reset the Workspace, as Adobe does a poor (non-existent) job of remembering how I had it set up last with that permutation of monitors. Cutting to the chase, in this case, I can't drag the palettes over from being halfway off the monitor back into view. I've tried turning off the Graphics Processor. I've tried resetting the Workspace. I can drag each palette individually into view, but not the whole group. Thanks! It's quite frustrating having such a seemingly basic user interface issue!
I just installed the latest update to Photoshop and am getting strange behaviour with the Object Selection tool. People, animals and objects are always selected with an uneven rectangular shape. Sky and landscape are selected correctly. Same results in Camera Raw. I am running Windows 11, Intel Core i9, Radeon Pro W6600 with 64g of RAM. Using the same image, my 16" Macbook Pro does not have this problem. I tried the usual deleting preferences, reinstalling Photoshop, updating graphics drivers, etc. on the Windows 11 machine, but no change. Anyone else having this problem?
Running macOS 12.4 on a 2022 Mac Studio, Lightroom 12.0.1 and Photoshop 24.0 Sometimes it'll work once, then fail on the next try. Since there's no way to tell Lightroom to use the previous version of Photoshop for this task, my options are deleting 2024 or coming up with my own script. I don't use this function every day, but several times a month and dozens of times a day when I do. Stacking the images into new PSDs manually would slow my workflow to a glacial pace.
There's been a couple posts about this already, but it's been a while, and I'm not sure if there's an answer now. When I'm using Photoshop on my iPad with my Apple Pencil 2, I want to be able to switch between the brush and eraser by double-tapping the pencil, like I can do in other apps such as Procreate. Instead, it zooms in or out. In my iPad settings for the pencil itself, I have "switch between current tool and eraser" selected under "double tap". In the app, I can only turn double tap on or off, not specify what the tapping does, despite this help page implying that I should be able specify what action double tapping does. Surely this has been implemented by now? It makes no sense that it wouldn't be. Am I missing something?

When creating scales in the 'export as' dialog, the layering appears to be broken meaning some options are hidden beneath other scales that have been created.
