I have a file with several layers, and I used 'Export As' to export a full resolution and a half resolution verison of the file. One or more of the layers in the half resolution version weren't resized. The full resolution version looks fine.    The original photoshop file is a few gigs.   Photoshop 23.0.1 Mac Monterey 12.0.1 (21A559) 

The text input cursor is not visible in Photoshop CC File Info IPTC boxes when using dark mode on MacOS. This change happened around the Jan/Feb CC 2020 update and has not been fixed yet.

Image > Reveal All does not always act as expected. I was able to reproduce as following: - Paste an image larger than canvas (reveal all should work fine) - make the layer lower than all "text" layers (reveal all still works fine) - make a "text" layer lower than the large image layer, reveal all does nothing! is that a bug? New install of 22.5.   The first file I work on, crashed 4 times within 10 minutes. Doing diferent tasks, brushing, cloning and moving around while zoomed in.   Photoshop just dissappeared, no hanging or warnings.   iMac Pro,  Big Sur 11.4 Radeon Pro Vega 64 16 GB  128Gb Ram.   Downgrading to 22.4.3 no issues.

Alt+tab dialogue (to switch application) often doesn't work properly, won't appear at all or appears and disappears instantly when called from Photoshop in full-screen mode. Photoshop CS6 beta, Windows 7 x64

Scenario: Adobe PhotoShop Version: 12.1 (12.1x20110328 [20110328.r.145 2011/03/28:10:30:00 cutoff; r branch]) x64 Operating System: Mac OS 10.7.2 There seems to be an issue w/ the preview window for sharpening i PS.5.1 on Lion 10.7.2. The issue is not present in Win7 for the same PS version, nor in Mac Snow Leopard, so as far as I can see, it's Lion specific. Details: In the sharpening preview window (i.e. Filter | Sharpen | Unsharp Mask, where you alter the radius/amount), you can toggle the sharpening effect back and forth between applied/not applied by click | hold a mouse button inside the preview window. But as you click the mouse, the preview picture is offset in some direction, sort of jumping slightly sideways, making the observation of the effect difficult, as you visually lose track of the sharpening change due to this sudden movement of the preview picture. I'm running the latest version of Photoshop CC on a 2015 iMac 5k, recently updated to OS X 10.13, High Sierra, with drives formatted as APFS volumes. Running a large batch of images (1500+) through File –> Scripts –> Image Processor (with the option to run an action turned on) has the images being processed in random order, rather then sequentially by name. If I kill the action and start over, it seems to repeat the action in the same "random" order the next time, so I'm guessing it isn't truly random. I checked to see if it's running in size or date order, and it isn't.This wouldn't be an issue if the script didn't occasionally crash, leaving me with random images completed, rather than sequential. I won't be able to just run the batch with only the images that were next in line. I'll have to start from scratch, and hope it won't chunk out again.

I have sent test fonts privately to Josh Hadley at Adobe.   1. Install the three fonts 2. In PS, make a text box with the text "Q$" in all three fonts 3. For Mokoko, select Weight=900, for Mendl, Weight=900 and for Aktiv Grotesk, Weight=900 and Width=75. 4. In Aktiv Grotesk and Mokoko, the dollar with a continuous stroke should be replaced by a dollar with a stroke just at the top and bottom. In Mendl, the Q should be replaced by a Q with a stroke just on the outside.   PS does however not replace anything. Mokoko and Mendl use the rvrn feature, Aktiv Grotesk the rclt feature to specify conditional substitutions.

Creating a script for applying Neural Filters. But I want to use parameters in code. It works fine if I create an Action. I can convert the Action to javascript. Runs generated script and runs fine. It works fine if I use the scriptlistener. Runs generated script and runs fine. If I change the scripts at the obvious parameters, Age, Style brush size it does not refresh with the different parameters. In fact it uses the original script ones. However if I open the neural filter, the changed parameters are there and it refreshs and I press OK, then fine. Thing is, comparing the generated scripts when just one parameter, say Age has changed, there is a difference in a hextobin unintelligible code, some random numbers, as well as the obvious variable. So if the answer is obvious sorry, this is my first PS script (I do code AE). App.refresh(); didn't force the filter to refresh, is there another way? Any thoughts and thanks.

After renaming a file from the Save For Web dialog, it is impossible to return to Photoshop. It becomes necessary to Force Quit the program. This bug may only affect macOS users. Open image file. File, Export, Save For Web (Legacy) Click Save. Rename any file from this window (right-click file, Rename) Click Save, and the file list disappears Switch to another program and back – the file list reappears At this point neither Save nor Cancel work. Photoshop is not unresponsive at this point, but as it is impossible to exit the dialog window, it is necessary to Force Quit the application.

In PS 2021, when I use the color range selection tool and then adjust the Fuzziness slider, my computer locks up. Every time.    PS 22.1.0 MacOS 10.15.7

Hi, We are in a Publishing Design Studio, Issues currently with the 2021 version are: Photoshop: error when trying to place text. When we place the text box, an error message pop up - Could not complete you request because of a program error. (No issues with 2020 version) InDesign: Random documents wont print or export to PDF (The same docs work fine in 2020 version) Illustrator: Files will not save   - This is happening on all 11 of our machines all running Windows 10.0.19042 build 19042. Identical PC specs: Intel i7 -9700 CPU @ 3.00 GHz, 8 core, 16 GB Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with latest drivers.

I am working on the latest version of Photoshop 2022 v23.1 and macOS Monterey 12.0.1 and I noticed that whenever I apply an Angle to a pattern in Pattern Overlay, it fires up my laptop big time and it also takes ages to export the file and save it.   These are my steps: 1. I create a pattern and use Define Pattern to save it to the pattern library 2. I open another file and apply Pattern Overlay with my previously created pattern 3. I change the Angle to 20 (or 50, it doesn't matter)  4. I try to export the file and photoshop freezes and my laptop gets overheated OR 4. I try to save the file and photoshop freezes and my laptop gets overheated   If I wait and close all other processes, it takes 15 minutes (yes, you read that right) to finish the job.   I checked multiple times and on previous versions and if I change the Angle back to 0, the photoshop works just fine.   Found the same issue on the latest version of Photoshop 2021 - hence, I thought that this bug

I recorded an Action to resize and Save As some scans done with a Nikon LS-9000 scanner. Scanner(camera) info is lost in the resulting PNG files. The rest of the metadata is present.   Manually using Save As works as intended, with scanner info preserved.

Hello everyone,   It appears the last few versions of Photoshop have a small display bug when flipping between documents in Fullscreen mode via (opt+tab) on OSX. The documents get stretched for a second and sometimes get hung up before switching. Would be great to get this ironed out. Thank you.   -Berube 

Since updating yesterday Photoshop no longer quits - just the spinning rainbow wheel of doom! Have to force quit every time.   Anyone else experiencing this?   Thanks 

I'm using the latest release of PS (23.0.2) on Mac OS Catalina. When working with multiple open images, both Zoom all windows and Scroll all windows are always active. I have unchecked them both in the tool options, tried turning off 'Use Graphic Processer' in the Preferences in case that was causing the issue. All to no avail. If I scroll and/or zoom within one image window, all others follow suit.   I'm assuming this is a bug but could find any other references to this specific issue.   Does anyone have a work around or could they enlighten me incase there's something vital that I've missed. Cheers 

Dragged some library artwork into a photo in Photoshop 23.1.0.   It needed to be resized, but it defaults to transform mode as soon as you release the drag.   (mis) Clicked on the W percentage and ended up replacing the 100.04% with 1003004.   Photoshop hung but then eventually crashed the Mac.   In part this is the responsive nature of the transform, it updates after a short delay on entering a different number. Probably needs to have a "sensible" rule attached which says that if the number entered is going to go way beyond the image limits that the auto number interpreter doesn't always trigger the recalculate render step.

Photoshop 23.0.1 MacOS 11.6.1   When changing the Ruler units to Percent, the wrong units display on the vertical/left ruler. The horizontal/top ruler works normally, and other units (Pixels, Inches, Cm, etc.) seem to work normally. I was able to find a workaround by unclicking Prefs>Tech Previews>Enable Native Rulers, but it is clearly a bug that should be addressed.

When adjusting Convert to profile options in RGB document, the preview does not actually show the color change when the rendering intent is changed. They become available only after applying the profile.The Proof colors preview also does not show the actual color changes - you can endlessly switch settings in the window and there will be no changes to the image. To see the simulation of the profile, you need to enable / disable Proof colors. Tested on two different computers (win 10, win 11, both with the latest updates and updated drivers). I reset the Photoshop settings - it did not help. 

Hi, I've just switched to the new Photoshop 2022 (23.1) and with OpenCL checked in the Advanced Settings of the Graphics Processor Settings, when using an Action that incorporates the Select & Mask feature for refining the edges of a mask, the whole thing freezez and all you have to do is end Photoshop from Task Manager. Switched to Photoshop 2021, even the first version 22.0, even the last one 22.5.4, this issue is still occuring. Everything works fine with the OpenCL disabled, but if it's enable the whole think freezez when using Select & Mask in an Action. My GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop. Photoshop is using 70% (17444 MB), with a History State of 50, Cache Levels 4, and Chache Tile Size 1028K. It dosen't matter if you change the History State, Cache Levels & Tile Size. If the OpenCL is enabled Photoshop will freeze. Again: only if I disable it it will work fine. What about if we want and need the OpenCL? I thin this issue is an old one. When will Adobe adress it

Performance becomes very bad/laggy when the grid is turned on, especially when using subdivisions. It also takes a good 2-3 seconds for the grid to show up once pressing Ctrl + ' for the first time after opening Photoshop. Turning on the grid again after the first time, even in different documents, is much faster, but the bad performance is the same.   If I change the number of subdivisions to something smaller, the performance improves (but it is still bad). Making the grid larger also improves the performance. Performance seems to be affected by the scale of the grid - the finer and/or the more subdivisions, the worse the performance. The subdivisions have a much bigger impact on performance than the rest of the grid - for example, a grid sized at 1 px and no subdivisions has noticeably better performance than a grid sized 8 x 8 with 2 subdivisions. If I change the document size to something smaller, performance improves a little bit as well.   I am currently using an 8 x 8

I'm having a bit of an issue with the layer count when adding new layers in Photoshop...  I am 100% sure I have renamed every layer I've added rather than just leaving it 'Layer #', but when I add a new layer, for some reason the layer count is at '524' instead of '1'.  If I change the name of that newly added layer from 'Layer 524' to something else and then add another new layer, the count will go up to 525.     I have the layers organized into groups, and I've noticed if I delete a group (any group at all) and add a new layer, the layer count will go back to '1'.  In other words, hypothetically speaking, if one group had a layer that was named 'Layer 523' and that's what was causing the new layer count to be 524, that couldn't be fixed simply by deleting ANY random group, the group that had this hypothetical 'Layer 523' in it would have to be deleted to solve the problem... or that layer would have to be renamed.  What I'm saying is, I've troublesh

@J453 I know 3D features are been depreciated but I just noticed something in both Photoshop versions 22.5.3 and 23.0.2, is this expected behaviour?
