Since updating yesterday Photoshop no longer quits - just the spinning rainbow wheel of doom! Have to force quit every time.   Anyone else experiencing this?   Thanks 

I'm using the latest release of PS (23.0.2) on Mac OS Catalina. When working with multiple open images, both Zoom all windows and Scroll all windows are always active. I have unchecked them both in the tool options, tried turning off 'Use Graphic Processer' in the Preferences in case that was causing the issue. All to no avail. If I scroll and/or zoom within one image window, all others follow suit.   I'm assuming this is a bug but could find any other references to this specific issue.   Does anyone have a work around or could they enlighten me incase there's something vital that I've missed. Dragged some library artwork into a photo in Photoshop 23.1.0.   It needed to be resized, but it defaults to transform mode as soon as you release the drag.   (mis) Clicked on the W percentage and ended up replacing the 100.04% with 1003004.   Photoshop hung but then eventually crashed the Mac.   In part this is the responsive nature of the transform, it updates after a short delay on entering a different number. Probably needs to have a "sensible" rule attached which says that if the number entered is going to go way beyond the image limits that the auto number interpreter doesn't always trigger the recalculate render step.

Photoshop 23.0.1 MacOS 11.6.1   When changing the Ruler units to Percent, the wrong units display on the vertical/left ruler. The horizontal/top ruler works normally, and other units (Pixels, Inches, Cm, etc.) seem to work normally. I was able to find a workaround by unclicking Prefs>Tech Previews>Enable Native Rulers, but it is clearly a bug that should be addressed.

When adjusting Convert to profile options in RGB document, the preview does not actually show the color change when the rendering intent is changed. They become available only after applying the profile.The Proof colors preview also does not show the actual color changes - you can endlessly switch settings in the window and there will be no changes to the image. To see the simulation of the profile, you need to enable / disable Proof colors. Tested on two different computers (win 10, win 11, both with the latest updates and updated drivers). I reset the Photoshop settings - it did not help. 

Hi, I've just switched to the new Photoshop 2022 (23.1) and with OpenCL checked in the Advanced Settings of the Graphics Processor Settings, when using an Action that incorporates the Select & Mask feature for refining the edges of a mask, the whole thing freezez and all you have to do is end Photoshop from Task Manager. Switched to Photoshop 2021, even the first version 22.0, even the last one 22.5.4, this issue is still occuring. Everything works fine with the OpenCL disabled, but if it's enable the whole think freezez when using Select & Mask in an Action. My GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop. Photoshop is using 70% (17444 MB), with a History State of 50, Cache Levels 4, and Chache Tile Size 1028K. It dosen't matter if you change the History State, Cache Levels & Tile Size. If the OpenCL is enabled Photoshop will freeze. Again: only if I disable it it will work fine. What about if we want and need the OpenCL? I thin this issue is an old one. When will Adobe adress it

Performance becomes very bad/laggy when the grid is turned on, especially when using subdivisions. It also takes a good 2-3 seconds for the grid to show up once pressing Ctrl + ' for the first time after opening Photoshop. Turning on the grid again after the first time, even in different documents, is much faster, but the bad performance is the same.   If I change the number of subdivisions to something smaller, the performance improves (but it is still bad). Making the grid larger also improves the performance. Performance seems to be affected by the scale of the grid - the finer and/or the more subdivisions, the worse the performance. The subdivisions have a much bigger impact on performance than the rest of the grid - for example, a grid sized at 1 px and no subdivisions has noticeably better performance than a grid sized 8 x 8 with 2 subdivisions. If I change the document size to something smaller, performance improves a little bit as well.   I am currently using an 8 x 8

I'm having a bit of an issue with the layer count when adding new layers in Photoshop...  I am 100% sure I have renamed every layer I've added rather than just leaving it 'Layer #', but when I add a new layer, for some reason the layer count is at '524' instead of '1'.  If I change the name of that newly added layer from 'Layer 524' to something else and then add another new layer, the count will go up to 525.     I have the layers organized into groups, and I've noticed if I delete a group (any group at all) and add a new layer, the layer count will go back to '1'.  In other words, hypothetically speaking, if one group had a layer that was named 'Layer 523' and that's what was causing the new layer count to be 524, that couldn't be fixed simply by deleting ANY random group, the group that had this hypothetical 'Layer 523' in it would have to be deleted to solve the problem... or that layer would have to be renamed.  What I'm saying is, I've troublesh

@J453 I know 3D features are been depreciated but I just noticed something in both Photoshop versions 22.5.3 and 23.0.2, is this expected behaviour? When using the Fade Dialog, chaging the Opacity Slider is jerky and not very responsive. I have found this to be the case with PS 23 MAC Monteray.    

The arrow keys work without hassle when Channel is set to RGB (default). However, if I change to a different channel and place a new point on the curve, the arrow keys switch between channels instead of moving the new point.   There is a workaround, but it is not intuitive and requires an extra click: Open curves tool. Select a color channel using either the drop down manu or pressing Alt+3, Alt+4, or Alt 5. Place a new point on the curve. Then, click your mouse in the Output field or the Input field (where the number is displayed). Then the arrow keys move the point properly. This is on Windows 10, PS version 21.2.4.   If this cannot be fixed, it might be worth updating the help file at https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/curves-adjustment.html in the section "Keyboard shortcuts: Curves" where it states "To move selected points on the curve, press the arrow keys."   Thank you.   {Title edited by moderator - PS-72961}

Hello,  I bought recently a macbook and when I want to resample an image (from circa 25x25 cm/300 dpi to 50x50 cm / 200dpi), thing I often do, on the photoshop installed on the mac book, it doesn't work at all. You can see the picture transformed by this operation.  When I do it on my windows computer, it works normally.    Is there something checked by default ? Is it a known bug on Mac ? on Photoshop ?  I downloaded the last Photoshop version a couple of days ago. But the result is still the same.   

Since I installed Photoshop version 23.0 I have a problem: Whenever I start the program; whenever I open a file; or whenever I switch from one file to another, from among the open files, I get several popup messages, all with the same message.   "Fail to call postmessage as webview is not initialized yet".   I don't know why this happens, but with Photoshop 22 it didn't happen.   Can anyone help me to solve this problem? It's annoying to have to close the three or four popup windows every time they appear.

I opened an existing PSD file, created a new path for a text layer. Put text on the path. Exported it to PDF.   Expected: Text shows as on edit.   Result: Text shows as attached and breaking the orientation.Existing paths do not have this problem though.   I have attached a JPG export as well so you can see that it exports correctly to JPG.  

Started crashing with 26.0. Then 26.0.1. And still with 26.0.2.  At least with 26.0.2 it only crashes once. I'm usually successful the second or third time. Oh well. I have InDesign to worry more about, anyway.

I'm using: Adobe photoshop 2022 (latest update)- windows 10   Hello, it is several months that I am facing the same problem in photoshop: my workflow involves precise layer naming. I often have to re-use the same part of a layer name convention, so for sake of speed, instead of writing the same name convention on a layer hundreds of times, I use to copy-paste the layer name from one layer to another. To do that I use the shortcut ctrl+C and ctrl+V. Unfortunately after a while the copy paste function for layer names stops working and no name is copied/pasted. Every time this happens I have to restart photoshop, (closing the document does not solve the issue) and copy paste starts working again but just for 15-20 minutes, then it stops working and have to re-restart. Honestly, this is quite frustrating, because the simple text copy paste is just a basic function in ANY software and not having this working can be very time consuming. I've been having an issue when trying to open photoshop on my windows pc. I've gone through all of the troubleshooting steps that I could find. If anyone else has come across a similar issue that was resolved by something else other than the steps I've taken please help. I've submitted crash reports, but haven't heard back yet. This all seems to have happened after the latest update but previous versions are now also experiencing issues. Windows 10 home 20H2 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Troubleshooting steps taken: Revert to previous versions of Photoshop, reset preferences, update graphics card, looked into windows media feature pack but couldn't find anything relevant to download, launched without plugins, and reset font cache.

Had an issue with Smart Sharpen in PS2022. PS crashes and called Adobe and was told it might be a possible sync issues with a second monitor. After disabling it it worked but I had PS2022 working after a few crash problems. Any help woud be appreciated. Thanks,

The "transparency grid" used to visualise the transparency in a document gets blended with the image using Gamma 1,0 instead of honouring the gamma of your document (usually ~2,2). Confirmed in CS6 through CC2022. So I have ran into a strange bug/issue regarding my niche setup. (Though I assume there are many other GPU rendering types out there with similar setups.) It seems like Photoshop's GPU acceleration bugs out and does not display/work correctly when you have 2 GPUs in NVLINK, and 1 GPU that is not a part of the NVLINK group driving the monitors. Photoshop will correctly detect the display GPU in the GPU compatibility check but it will not display correctly anything in the canvas. It just "locks up" what was displayed.If unplug the display GPU from my monitor and instead plugin one of the NVLINK'd GPUs then everything works fine as expected. So it seems related to NVLINK interfering with the display only GPU driving Photoshop correctly. I do not have this issue with other programs, and it is odd that the Photoshop GPU check detects the GPU just fine.It would be great if I did not have to change the HDMI cord out every time i need to use Photoshop. Hi,   I have recently installed Photoshop 2022 (v23), and I was surprised when I opened my PSD files that were using the gradiant map layer style in the layer stack..They look different 😞     Indeed, Adobe introduced the Perceptual, Linear and Classic methods. This looks great at a first glance, but the default is 'Perceptual', and 'Classic' is not applied when you open a PSD that contains gradiant map layer styles.This sound as a bug, because PSD files should retaint the corrections intent of the retoucher.Please, add the capability to set the default behaviour for thr Gradiant Map Layesr Style in the preference.Thank you.{Moderator note: Edited the thread title}

Hi, I'm running the latest version of Photoshop 2022.  When I do an Quick Export to PNG and I manually type in the filename that already exists, it doesn't prompt me to overwrite, it just overwrites it.  However if I double click on the file name in the file window it will prompt me to overwrite.  I'm running Windows 10 20H2.  Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I just wanted to let you know.   Thanks - Zack

I am having real problems using the Sky Replacement tool.  I am using a Mac with the M1 processor.  The same problem is also happening on my Mac Book Pro with a similar spec.  I open the tool and you get the spinning wheel, trying to select different skies just freezes.  I have deleted all the photoshop permissions and made sure that the program has all the necessary disc permissions that I saw in a previous post.  Any ideas? 

Hello. Happily running v22.5.3 and everything perfect and as expected and should be. No issues at all.   Upgraded to v23.0.1 this morning and out of the gate, the following issues identified: 1. 'File/Open Recent' now grayed out. 2. Sky replacement crashes the program when attempting to make any adjustments. 3. 'About Photoshop' in the Help menu does nothing   Windows 10 Enterprise (1809) with MS 'N' Media Pack installed on a Dell Optiplex 9010 with i7 8-core processor, 32Gb RAM, 500Gb Samsung SDD.Unable to attach Adobe Log Collector-generated file due to limitation of this webpage.   When will Adobe be fixing these issues please?

Last night my ipad updated its self, with the latest version of software. Now everytime I import a PNG photo, it makes it have a white back ground. So its reckonizing it as a jpeg or something. super annoying. Can I turn off camera raw import?????
