So I'm not going to rage. I really want to. But I won't. I'm using Photoshop CS 5.5 (Windows). I was on the sixth version of a high fidelity Website mockup. The client asked that I provide them the design in PDF format. So from within the .PSD file, I select "Save As" and choose PDF as the format. I complete the PDF wizard and all seemed good. No. Apparently, when you save as a PDF, it turns the PSD file you actively have open into a PDF? I noticed that the file type changed to PDF from PSD on the tab. "That's stupid," I thought. "I'll just change it back to a PSD, since I've made a few modifications since I saved it last." You know, in Dreamweaver when you execute a "Save As", it opens the new file in its own tab. Just a thought. Maybe my next choice was wrong, but it seemed instinctive to me. I decided to "Save As" again, but this time as a PSD file. I still had my layers in tact, so I didn't think there would be a problem. I close out the file. When I open the PSD file back up just

The custom shapes tool used to have actually useful shapes like arrows and such which were very useful for quick design needs. Now its full of trees and boats and flowers. I appreciate the new shapes, but why did you have to remove the old ones that were actually more useful in everyday situations? (Similarly, patterns is in a similar boat. Removed some useful more subtle background patterns for leaves and such).

I have the newest Photoshop 21.2 release running on Win 10 2004. When I use the Select Subject feature inside of or outside of the Select and Mask environment Photoshop will randomly stop working and freeze. After a few seconds the Adobe error reporting widget pops up.When working outside the the Select and Mask environment the freeze happens when using the Quick Selection tool. When working inside the Select and Mask environment I've had the program freeze with the Marching Ants or Overlay display modes selected while refining the selection.Though the problem is randomly triggered it is happening often.Anyone else seeing this behavior?

I'm having issues with this as well. Every time I use refine hair tool, PS got freeze on my mac. I have the latest PS and mac software is up to date with Big sur 11.2.1

The uv overlay toggle no longer draws a uv over the texture and the Create Painting Overlay menu is completely grayed out. This worked before updating to version 22

Latest update is causing brush to randomly lose pressure sensitivity for a few strokes at a time (especially/but not limited to: after zooming in or out). Have not had this issue prior to latest update. Any solutions?

Directly after installing the PhotoShop 22.2 update I activated the new preset-sync option. The first sync completed successfully. A little bit later, without working in PhotoShop and no open images, my system reported to be short on available RAM. On my MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM activity monitor reported, that PS ist was using 120GB!! RAM. The only solution was to kill PS. Subsequent attempts to deactivate the preset-sync failed with a crash. It didn’t matter whether I chose to keep or delete the synced presets. Meanwhile PS continued to consume more than the available RAM. Had to revert to PS 22.1.2, but have major concerns because the 22.2 Update contains security relevant fixes.

Repeatedly ...even after restarting PS and/or rebooting laptop, I try to use the spot healing tool and incessantly get this popup: "Could not complete your request because of a program error"   All I can do is click the OK button and then continue until a minute or so goes by and I get the same thing happening again. Another buggy update???  

Hi guys, first of all i am a french webdesigner so be kind with my english ^^ i am on a PC windows 10 the version is 1909 and all the update are done.  My version of photoshop is the lastest 21.2.1.  Here is my prblm :  .psd files do not remember where was the last export For example : i am working with 2 .psd : the "A" and the "B". I use to export the "A" works in the "A" folder and the "B" works in the "B" folder. But after the "A" exportation every others exports goes to the "A" folder. So i am constantly searching the right folder for each export. it s soooooo anoying and i am losing so much time. Do you have an issue ? PS : i was like, f*** it i will run the odlest version i could so here i am with this cutie 20.0.9 aaaaaaaand the prblm is solved ! So from this point i will design 2019 stuff it will be so fun. But this is not an issue right ? ^^

Photoshop has no issue detecting my graphics processor on launch and through most prcoesses. However, if I resize a photo or image, there's a brief flash of white and I find that, if I go to Preferences/Performance, the graphics processor is no longer detected. Photoshop runs normally after this - I don't detect any slow-downs, etc. - but this only began happening with the update before last. I've never had this issue before and I've been using the same graphics card for a couple of years now. Any ideas? My thought is that it's a bug in the latest iterations of the software...

Huge reproducible bug with Hue/Saturation Dialog Box. Open a document, file, photo, then open try to manipulate Hue/Saturation, the slider moves a little bit then freeze. The problem is that it freezes the whole app. The only solution I found - one time again - is to kill the app and reboot. -I'm sooooooooooo fed up with all these bugs on such simple manipulations.https://youtu.be/nRZ3YdX_3xk

Just updated to 21.1.0 today. With floating window zoom in/out with Ctrl +/- moves the view to the center of the image. In full screen the behavior is normal. Please fix it.thanks!

When ever I select a color in SELECT / COLOR RANGE and use the shift key to add as I am clicking the image, Photoshop crashes. never happened to me before until this update and it is getting annoying.

I have added text in a file and it crashed. I have done nothing in a file and eventually it crashed. Please provide an immediate fix for this as I'm working on a deadline. It might help if I can reinstall the previous version in case nothing gets fixed immediately.   OS 10.15.7 iMac Retina 5k 27" 2017 32gb 2400 MHz DDR4

BUG : Photoshop 2020 has broken support for wintab via PSUserConfig.txt !!!UseSystemStylus 0 This has worked perfectly fine up until PS 2019 - Windows ink is a steaming pile of .... and NOT a viable option. (yes, PSUserConfig.txt is in the correct settings folder in Appdata, PS just seems to ignore it) We'll revert to 2019 until this is fixed, since wintab is the only reliable solution for pressure sensitivity on Wacoms with Windows workstations. MAJOR DEALBREAKER - pls look into this asap ! 

When using liquify tool, transparent and corrupted pixels appear on the canvas. When clicking OK, photoshop occasionally crashes.    Big Sur MacMini late 2018 model 8GB RAM  

The symptom is when you go to other app and come back to Photoshop, the canvas becomes blank gray. I have to move some objects or hide/unhide some layers for the screen to come back again.  See the attached you to see what it's like. This is so annoying because we have to use back and forth between apps.  I've tried changed GPU preference (Basic/Advanced and even NO GPU) and re-started photoshop but it didn't solve at all. So I think it's not about the GPU setting. Finally, I find a solution but it's not actually practical but it worked. I noticed that it happened to some artworks that has Artboards so i tried to clear all artboards inside that artwork. The symptom is gone (not entirely but it happens less) To Adobe, please fix ASAP. Hi everybody, I changed to Photoshop 2021 recently and now I have the following issue: - I create a layer with text in one color, for example white - I convert the layer to shape - The coverted text has an unwanted black outline  Somebody has an idea how to change this? Square (JPEG-like) artifacts are produced when images are enlarged by "Bicubic (smooth gradients)" interpolation. Their size depends on the size of the enlargement of image. If the enlargement is N*100% the artifacts have a size of NxN px, where N = 3,4,5, etc. If the enlargement is too large (1000% for example) artifacts will be lost in the blurry image. A good enlargement for observing artifacts is 400%. Artifacts are produced in both RGB and Grayscale mode.   (Resizing was done in Photoshop 22.0.1, but artifacts can also be observed in earlier versions of Photoshop.)     Other software that uses bicubic interpolation to enlarge images (Wolfram Mathematica or Affinity Photo) does not produce such artifacts (see below). In fact, there is minimal difference between Wolfram Mathematica's output and Affinity Photo.         Artifacts are not visible when "Bicubic Smoother (enlargement)" is used when enlarging images. Hello,since the last update, almost every time I click on the New Layer and/or New Group buttons in the Layers panel, the buttons become stuck and unusable. I have to restart Photoshop to reset their state.Not game breaking but definitely annoying.Regards

The new Photoshop 2019 "Export As" adds the suffix to the file name even though it has been deleted. The 2018 version would have a grayed out "none" in the Suffix box when I deleted it and then export the file name as it was.

I have been having this issue for several months now and I am not alone. If I try to print files created in older versions of PS then when I click "Print" PS either shuts down completely or if the file is very old it just freezes. I can print files created in the most recent versions fine. I have used the workaround suggested on many forums and by ADOBE themselves which is to create a "clean" preferences file on opening PS. However this only works for this session and if I close PS down and re-open it the issue still exists. Can ADOBE please address this issue as I have numerous presets in my preferences and cannot afford the time to keep re-setting them every time I wish to print an older file. I use templates a lot so I take an original file possibly created 2-3 years ago as a PSD and make adjustments to it on an ongoing basis and save it as a JPG for immediate customer use and it still will not print.
