Issue – I have a timeline with a 4096 × 2048 (2:1) aspect ratio. It's widescreen, not 360. But everytime I export the VR setting in the export window or in Media Encoder defaults to checked whn I export a mp4. If I export a .mpv this does not happen but when I add that .mov to Media Encouder and change to export an mp4 I have the same problem. It also happens if I resize the sequence to 1920x960. Hello guys. I would like some help with a common trouble with appearently multiple causes. My playback in Premiere won't display anything except a black screen, sometimes with a smal white bar on the bottom. The audio playback is normal. It happened when I tried to change the settings of a sequence and it just bugged out for good.I've done a few procedures, I updated my gpu's driver. I used the clean tool to uninstall and reinstalled Adobe Premiere. What I couldn't do was testing changing the settings in Project Settings window, because the option to change the renderer is locked and grayed. It's locked in Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration CUDA.I'm leaving a few prints bellow of the issues. My computer settings are:Processor: Ryzen 5 5600xGPU: RTX A2000 6GB Vram1Tb SSD (System)RAM: 64Gb 

I find it SO hard to make Premiere search the folder I have selected.  Sometimes it will comply and search the folder I have asked it to, but more often than not it will just search any random drive on my computer or cloud space.  I can't seem to figure out its logic.  This is both on my mac at work and my home machine, all versions of PP from at least 2022 to present. 

I have a lot of old Premiere projects (CS6) that I go back to in order to update older shows to newer versions. I have been using Premiere Pro Creative Cloud now for about 3 years and this issue started happenning since the most recent update to 24.2.1. Normally when I open one of my old CS6 projects, I am told the project is not compatible with the new version of Premiere and to save it as a new project. I rename and accept the new project file and after locating and loading the media I can go about my business updating the content. However, since the latest update, after locating and loading the media an error pops up saying "Matrix cannot be inverted." After the project loads, the Project window is not displayed. But when I go to Window --> Projects and select the project I'm working on, I get the "Matrix cannot be inverted" error message again and the project window does not display. Issue – At first launch, the What's New popup splash screen shows outdated information, like Gen Extend being Beta only. After dismissal, if you return to the Home screen and click on the gift box the What's New panel is more recent and does not match the initial splash screen. Steps to reproduce – Fresh install/update of 25.3, initial Whta's New box should appear. I was editing a big video and then I was seeing by the timeline after I was done editing it was 27 min and 30 secs but when I export it says over 50 minutes... I want to fix the timeline either way I won't know how much time the video is taking, I really need to fix it please help me ... Maybe I clicked something wrong. Btw im showing time length of the same video both in premiere pro.

Hi! I've recent download premiere pro on my laptop and I've been struggling to see the program sequence area. You can hear the audio of the video but not see the screen. When I change it into full view it shows, but of course I can't edit it.I've tried several videos on youtube if I can fix the problem but none works ("mercury playback engine software only", "Memory" "Uninstall and install"...)Any suggestions?

Normally i render the in and out of the timeline before exporting. But here's what's happening... i render, the timeline turns green, then when i go to export settings to export the whole file, the timeline appears yellow again, as if i never have rendered it.Somebody with the same problem??

I'm not sure when this happened, but whenever I insert literally anything into my video track, the clip I'm working with rewinds a few frames every time. I only recently noticed it when editing a Stellar Blade gameplay video and realized it happens in every project I open. Not only that but it also causes my audio to be delayed a little bit if it happens at a certain time. I first noticed it yesterday but it may very well have been happening since before then and I just never saw it. Things I've tried: Clearing media cache and restarting premiere pro, reseting the entire app, restarting my PC, reloading premiere pro. None of these worked, and at this point I'm considering either reinstalling or rolling back to 25.2.3. If anyone has experienced this and has a fix please let me know.

I'm new to using generative extend. I've been really excited about it, and had been waiting to finish a project so I can update Premiere, and try it out. Disappointed to learn that I'm unable to use it, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.  My footage fits the guidelines – its frame rate, resolution, and color space all are as they should be, but I keep getting this error:Now, my footage has a LUT on it, so I tried removing the LUT, but the same error pops up.You can see my footage's properties here:I'm unsure why the tool won't work for me, and would be greatly appreciative of others' insights.

When you copy paste multiple timelines in multiple different ratios into a new project within the same Production, the text graphic positioning changes on of the timelines. Speficially, I copy-pasted 4:5s, 16:9s, and 9:16 timelines, and the text graphics (meaning the ones I had created myself within Premiere) changed position on the 9:16s. Is stayed the same on the 4:5s and 16:9s. If I ONLY copy the 9:16 timelines, the position stays the same. 

Project Panels are not showing with version 25.2.3 especially when opening project from old version. I've tried downgrade to 25.2.1 but same thing happened. And this time I downgrade to version 24.6.5 and it works!However, since my latest project was created with 25.2 version, I cannot edit it at all.Fyi, I need the material from old version project for my latest project. Now I'm doomed. Please solve this immediately.

Hola, a la hora de usar Premiere Pro, todo me funciona bien, pero a la hora de reproducir contenidos se me traba el video y no me deja hacer mas nada. puedo seguir moviendome de manera fluida por el programa pero no me deja ni reproducir contenido, ni exportar, nada. esto me paso después de instalar la ultima actualización.

I have an interview clip with two speakers. When transcribing, Premiere correctly identifies the interviewer as a single speaker (Speaker 3) but assigns the interviewee two speakers (Speaker 1 and Speaker 2), even though it's clearly the same voice throughout.  Moreover, it constantly breaks up the interviewee's sentences between 1 and 2, even after just a few words. Here's a screen cap of what's happening: https://youtu.be/OtJxeWa0bhg. It's playing from the source window, so it's including the on-camera mics.  This fragmentation makes it harder to review and edit within the text window. Even when I manually reassign both sides of a split to the same speaker, the break carries over when generating captions. So I end up with a bunch of unnecessary caption divisions.  I know Premiere sometimes fails to distinguish between speakers, but this is the first time I've seen it over-assign speakers to one person and rapidly switch between them. Hello community, so Yesterday everything was okay with premiere, but today when I logged in, I noticed the user interface started changing color, to the point where it was all yellow. Can anyone please help me? I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere, restarted my computer several times, and it didn't work. I tried changing the interface colors, but that didn't work either.Now that I realized, the problem is also in all adobe apps 

When I select a fragment of audio in the program, it is not selected graphically in the audio wave window, but only at the bottom. However, when dragging it to the timeline, everything seems to be fine. Program version 25.3.0, Windows 10 22H2 19045.3570. I selecting with buttons I and O on keyboard and dragging on sequence 1080x1920p60. Audio file is mp3. 

Given you guys test on Macs more than PC it seems the Enhance Speech effect in the new Sound Essentials does not proberly work on PC when opening files from Mac side. Also seems that deleting and reapplying the effect on same trouble clip does not resolve the issue either - for me the Ehance Speech makes the person sound like they're cyring lol, hard to describe how weird it sounds but its choppy basically. Clearing audio cache, or copy pasting new clip does not change its clearly buggy poor quality, only seems to work on Mac for whatever reason. 

Since the update to 2025 and the addition of the crop function within Effects/Properties panels - you cannot see an outline of where you crop mark is. It's just a drag and guess until you see the part of the frame dissapear. Obviously the lines will appear when using the crop transform effect from the effects panel - but confused why we don't see the lines within the other built-in panels as well. If Adobe is trying to make it easier for us to use it there without needing an additional effect then it should be fully functional.  

Hello, I applied the Gaussian Blur effect on a video clip and used the pen tool to apply a mask around a number plate. I then hit the play button to track the mask as the car moves but the progress bar doesn't show any progress. When I select "Stop" I am then unable to select track again as all the buttons are greyed out. I'm using M1 Max so I don't think it is an isssue with memory. Thanks,

I've been trying to use the mask tracking feature in premiere and it has a less than 50% chance of actually working. It does not track forward and gets stuck at 0%. I have looked at the other threads regarding this issue but the solutions do not work. My clip is at 100% speed and I have tried the nesting work around. This is an issue that has occured on multiple different computers.

I have a MOGRT that a few of my non-English Premiere-using customers have had issues with. At least that is the common thread I have identified.    A text box appearing as a red box, seen below, where it should appear as a "TikTok" style text box.  The MOGRT in question can be seen here.  [deleted by mod]   I believe it is the premium version that is producing these unexpected results, but perhaps you (the devs) know what might be going on without seeing that exact cersion. Otherwise, if you'd like to try the premium one directly, let me know where I can send it to be reviewed. Thanks!
