Hello, When I select multiple clips and insert or overwrite them into a timeline, Premiere ignores any patch selection and always adds the video and audio to the V1 and A1 tracks, even if I have audio turned off. If I drag the clips, it will obey which track I drag the clips into, but will ignore disabling audio patching and bring the audio with the clips. I am currently using Premiere 24 on Mac OS 14.6.1, but have encountered this issue for many, many versions (at least going back to 18).
HDR output is currently broken for decklinkPremiere 25.1.0Desktop Video 14.4.1Decklink output is fine in rec709Decklink USUALLY works in rec2020 if the Sequence is set to rec2100, though sometimes only at 60pDecklink completely crashes if the sequence is Rec709 and output is set to Rec2020Also HDR metadata is NOT being sent over HDMI.Not the equipmant as working fine in Resolve. This used to keep functioning correctly without having to change preferences when changing colourspaceHopefully this can be made to work automatically based on the Sequence setings, just like it does in Resolve.Hopefully HDR support can be prioritised a bit more now that it is becoming a de facto deliverable for a lot of distributers.
Hello, Premiere closes unexpectedly on me, sometimes it happens several times a day, I have taken care to close all the other applications and it still happens the same. On other occasions I may have Photoshop and Illustrator open and this does not happen, so it does not seem to be a RAM problem. What could be happening?
I've observed over time, in different projects, different premiere versions and on different Macs how sometimes the browser column for Media File Path specifies a path that doesn't exist. It starts off fine at the root, ends up fine, but in the middle there can be added several loops taking the path through other folders that really doesn't belong to the path. I call this Media File Path looping, or Ghost Paths. Below, there is two items from my browser that in the osx file system have similar paths. The first is correct, the second has the extra loops through other folders marked in the red box. To be clear: The path in the second example does simply not exist on the computer drive file system. The file, video or audio, will play in premiere, so the first noticeable effect of this loop is when you try to use "reveal in finder". Then you will be taken to the point of the false loop, where the finder system will give up to find the actual file you were asking about. You c
Hi,I have a problem during long editing sessions with Premiere. When I start working everything goes smoothly but after about an hour of work, every time I click on a clip, the program loses a few seconds before selecting it and showing me the effects. The more time passes the more seconds it takes before the clip is selected, but if I close the Effects Control Panel or remove the effects from the clips, editing goes smoothly again. Premiere also lags when I switch between sequences while there are clips selected. For now, the only valid workaround I have found is to restart the program, because I use the Effects Control Panel very often and I can't keep it closed. Most of the time i use Motion and Lumetri Color effects, nothing heavy. Clearing the cache and resetting the workspaces does not work. For now I use version 25.0 of Premiere but it also happened with 24. I am not updating to 25.1 because there is another bug when using adjustment layers with Lumetri panel. But
Specs: Windows 11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core 3.7Ghz, 32GB RAM, RTX 3080. Dual monitors.Scratch disks have plenty of space. (300GB+ on primary and 2-3TB on the secondary.) Currently using NVIDIA Studio v 572.60. Premiere is vanilla -- no plugins, etc. No other softwares are running. Problem: Every playhead in Premiere (v25.1) is choppy on playback. Both the indicator and the timecode update at most every few frames, and at the least -- never. The source & program ones work, but it's not smooth. The timeline only updates them when I pause -- which as you can imagine is a HUGE issue and makes editing extrmely annoying and almost impossible. Attempts to fix:Emptied Media Cache.Uninstall and re-install of Premiere (did not import previous settings) -- no change.Tried current Game Ready Driver -- no change.Tried rolling back to NVIDIA Studio v 566.14, but it only made things worse.Tried both software only and GPU acceleration for Project Settings -- no change.Tried tur
The app keeps crashing while working.Just open the Premier Pro 25.1 and work in the app for a while and its starts crashing. The same is happening with Media encoder 2025. While rendering a video the app either crashes of the encoding gets failed.
I am experiencing my PC crashing to a black screen when working with ProRes 422 Proxy files. I have not tested with other types of ProRes media. The same files work and playback without causing any crashes in VLC and other editing software. When the computer crashes to black, all the buttons (including the power button) are totally unresponsive and I have to turn the computer off at the PSU in order to restart it. The crash happens on Premiere 25.1, 25 and 24.6.4. I can easily reproduce the crash by importing a lengthy (~40 minute) 1080p ProRes 422 Proxy video to a sequence, playing at double speed and clicking through random parts of the clip. It crashes after around 10-20 seconds of this. The crash happens both when Cuda acceleration is on or off in Project Settings. It also crashes whether or not Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling is on or off. System:Windows 11 24h2 (also crashes on 23h2)Ryzen 5950x128gb RamRTX 4070 Ti Super (Driver version - 566.36, also crashes on 572.1
Issue - When copying volume information from one clip to another rather than just copy the dB settings of volume of the clip, a duplicate volume 'effect' is created making it cumbersome to match audio of multiple clips and readjust later Adobe Premiere Pro version number: 25.1.0 Operating system - Windows 11 See image attached for result of pasting volume information to a new clip. Copying 6db setting to new clip creates two instances of 'volume' with 0db and 6db when it should just be one instance of 6db after pasting. Moderator note: Thread title changed for easy tracking.
I keep having this premonition that the last thing I see before I die will be these keyframe buttons overlapping the values. It may kill me. Look how much whitespace is wasted. I can't even say there was NO thought put into this, it's like there was negative thought put into this. I also love how expanding the collapsed Position group feels like it should fix the problem by putting each value on its own line, but no. Been a Premiere user for 15+ years, at what point does this UX go from making me want to take a bath with the toaster to being nostalgic? Nobody can convince me this fix is not a 15 minute enhancement by a senior dev. The product team just needs to find the will to....improve their product.
Since upgrading to 2025, 23.976 footage in a 29.97 timeline jitters/judders/tears on the output monitor.Output monitor sees input video correctly at 1080/60i.When I export a timline, the jitter/judder/tearing isn't in the export.Rendering the timeline doesn't improve or remove the jitter/judder/tearing.All playback and viewing settings are at full quality. We have multiple rooms. I've seen this same behavior in a second room running Windows 11 (with PP 2025).This is the first time experiencing this phenomenon in all the CC versions we've had - starting with the first one. Windows 10 EnterprisePremiere Pro 25.1.0 (build 73)Blackmagic Decklink 4k Studio output (14.4.1 driver) to a Sony TrimasterFootage: studio masters of movies and various TV series, ProRes, mixed 29.97 and 23.976 frame rates in a 29.97 timeline.(other settings/preferences are attached)
Issue - On January 23, 2025, I exported two videos and uploaded one onto an external site called Brightcove. On January 24, producers reported playback issues with the exported video and the other was an issue rendering and uploading onto Brightcove. The issues with the first video had a bug were the video freezes for around 10 seconds without audio then plays on again. For the other video Brightcove was having a difficult time rendering and transcoding the video to allow playback and multiple different people tried uploading this same video but got the same result. I tried exporting the video many times trying different exports and sequence settings, but each time I kept getting an extra file labeled the same name as my sequence with an “.mp4_00_” at the end and no luck uploading the video to Brightcove. I’m not sure if the “.mp4_00_” file has something to do with warning that video file may be corrupted. This whole time I was working from an online server. Our server is a Synolo
Toggling multicam view & proxies at the same time can cause the icon to get stuck in a (I assume..) "disconnected" state, even though there are no disconnected proxy filesIt will not return to normal until prem is rebooted. This issue is present in windows (v25.0 & v25.2beta126) & macOS (v25.1)I don't think this issue is directly tied to the multicam icon itself, just that prem is stuck doing something else while the user tries to disable proxies, causing the icon to maybe think it's lost its link to proxies even though it hasn't? Just a guess on my part. Seems pretty easily replicated on my end, at least on a timeline that takes a second or two for multicam to toggle on/off. Video attached below on how to replicate
This is really annoying and time consuming to deal with. I'm on a Mac Pro 7,1 and updated to Premiere Pro 2025 with a new project using the new color managment system which is great to use until I save and exit Premiere and then restart it and open the project and my timeline clips that have been color managed with Color/Settings/ Override Media Color Space have resorted back to their raw states even though in each clip the Override Media Color Space option is checked and Hue Preservation is also checked. . I have seen someone else has already also reported this and I'm confirming the issue. Basically I have to go into each clip one by one and reset the Color mangaged profile (Currently its DJI D-Log/D-Gamut) by choosing another profile then re-choosing my desired profile. Then the Input Tone mapping goes back to Hue Preservation setting goes back to By channel and I have to re enable Hue Preservation for each clip and effectively lose the original Exposiure and Highlig
I have applied the metadata & timecode burn-in video effect but did not see it. On a hunch I adjusted the vertical position and was able to raise it into view. However as soon as I released the mouse the time-code window disappeared. Seems like a bug. Attached screenshot shows result when I am actively adjusting the vertical position, but as soon as I release the TC window is gone.
Steps to reproduce:Enable "Toggle Multi-Camera View"Start Playback (Press Space)Ripple Trim (Press Q) (The bug may occur after ripple triming twice) Current behavior:The playhead is still moving from its original position. Predicted behavior:Just as with ripple triming with multicam disabled, playback should stop, and the playhead will reset to the beginning of the clip (where it's trimmed). Can be reproduced on:Version 24.5.0 (macOS 15.1.1)Version 24.6.3 (Windows 11)
I am on 25.1. This is obnoxious. For some reason audio I have manually synced, comes unsynced from eachother seemingly randomly. I have manually fixed the entire video like 5 times. Both audio tracks are lined up with the end of each clip and that ever changes. The only thing that changes is I move the video track and two audio tracks at the same time. Then I'll zoom all the way in and look at the wave form and it will not be where I adjusted it. I've never encountered this problem before and I am now dreading doing any kind of audio adjustments until right before the final render. Is this a known problem? This is my first project on Premiere Pro 25. Linking the channels is not an option as they require seperate effects.

With voice enhancement on Premier Pro, it stays downloaded for an extended period of time. The same thing happens with other computers. It stays on standby for more than 24 hours and 0%. It works with other video files as well. It's the same if it works in a different internet environment. It's the same if it works with a different computer. Problem: When i want to drag an clip in my timeline the mouse position and the location of the clip is completly misaligned. Like the mouse courser is in the middle of the screen and the clip is "attached" to something on the right side of the screen. When moving the mouse the misaligned clip moves with it. Same happens if i want to add an effect to a clip or something in the sequence. So the whole Mouse <-> Position is wrong when dragging. For selecting it works perfect. When i move Premiere to my other monitor (4k) it works perfectly. When i change the screen scale in windows from 100% to 125% it works. When changing back it breaks again. It does not happing in other programs but also with the Premiere Beta Version. In e.g. Photoshop also no problems. I checked already updating my NVIDIA drivers, but i am on the newest version (tried studio and gaming drivers). Premiere Version: 25.1.0 (Build 73) but also happens with the Beta Version of Premiere Windows 11 - latest upda
My playback working smooth and perfect until i open another window(i do alt tab to another app). If i open new window of any app/program and then going back to Premier Pro i need to wait for 5-15 sec until playback start working. Sometimes sounds starts working but not a video and i need to wait additional 5-10 sec to see a video. That is happening even if you do alt tab for a few seconds. I tried to prerender video, cache clean, GPU processing etc. nothing working. How can i fix it in other way?
I have a 3 monitor set-up and have always used my third (laptop) monitor as a timeline output full screen display (independent of the actual Program monitor in my editing interface). Adobe often refers to this as a Program preview display. Just updated to Windows 11, and now it won't allow me to have that full display on an unused monitor. I've tried the "Video Stream" output on all three monitors to no avail (under Prefernces\Playback). Oddly enough, while every other piece of software I use displays regularly, I note a degraded quality in Adobe projects, especially evident in text, be that text in AE, Photoshop or Premiere Pro...like an anti-aliasing issue or something. Any advice would be most welcome. Thansk,Eric
Perplexed by a new playback/performance issue while editing a feature film. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the possible causes(s)!! My workstation is an HP Z8 and I edit features and network shows using Premiere Pro. I like to generally stay updated on the app, currently I have v25.1.0 but I also have 24. 0.3 installed. I've been editing a feature without any issues since November 2024. However just last week I began having problems with Premiere freezing after about 5 seconds of playback. The app becomes non responsive and eventually crashes and I have to either force quit using task manager or just restart the machine. I have 6 internal SSD's in the machine, I have the project file on one, the media cache on another, the audio previews on another the video previews on another, and the footage on another. My machine is fully optimized for editing and i dont run anything else on it. Because of all of this I have always enjoyed stellar performance. So I've been te
Adobe After Effects, Photoshops and Illustrator I have no problems with applications, but when I open Premiere Pro, it stays in the opening window and nothing happens, when I click on it, it gives an error like this. My computer hardware is Intel Arc A770 graphics card, i7 13700kf processor, 64gb ram and 1tb ssd. I am using Windows 11 pro. I tried a few versions from the latest version to 2024 and 2023, and I get the same error in all of them. I would be glad if you could help.
