I've worked on this hefty video project with the 2023 edition and it was totally fine. Upon updating, I now can no longer access it -- the app crashes every time I try to open the project. I would just reinstall 2023 until finishing the project but struggling to figure out how to reinstall 2023 as well. Help would be much appreciated!

Basically all the posts I can find about transcription talk about the transcription process itself being slow. But, that's not all that important to me. The help I need comes once it is processed. I am finding that working with a large transcribed clip (1080, pro res, 1hr40min) is slowing my system in a big way. Often at times when I want it to be moving quickly (simple scrubbing, play/pause to mark and out point, etc). Even when I don't have the text panel highlighted (or even as an open panel at all), just scrubbing that clip either in the source monitor or the timeline drags everything. Transcript is useful, of course, but I need to be able to do the basic functions of editing while using the clip. I clicked "Ignore transcript" for the clips in the timeline, and that seemed to help on the timeline. And I see I can uncheck that if needed, which is great. But in the source window there's no such toggle. Nor in the project panel for that clip. I've got a decent syst

Premier Pro - Version 24.6HP Elitebook x360 1030 G8 - Windows 10 Enterprise This issue came up after the latest update or before the summer.When I try to add files/motion graphics templates (both from my own- and a "public" library) they get highlighted in red when imported into Premiere Pro, as if they are broken. The project file size also increases from about 6 GB to 18 GB, even though the file/template I add from the library is relatively small.For example, if I add a logo that should appear in the corner throughout the video, the file size increases regardless of whether the logo is on the video for 2 seconds or 1 hour.I have tried deleting and re-downloading the libraries, but there is no difference, so I suspect there is something wrong with the program. However, I don’t know how to fix it. Any tips are welcome!

Running the latest version of Premiere Pro (as of 9th September 2024) Cannot get further than two or three edits before the software freezes then crashes. Looking at Task Manager, it reaches a peak level of memory useage that sticks and goes no further. For example, 700mb useage which freezes and doesn't go up or down before Premiere Pro crashes and closes. I did wonder if the RAM was bad, 128GB of Patriot Viper Steel DDR4, so ran the memory checker on Windows and tested each piece. No issues reported, and no improvement when I moved them around and reseated them. Also, checked the Crucial M2 SSD card...again, no issue. Rolled back Adobe Premiere Pro to 2024.0 and all problems gone. Stable and fully functioning and have been working with it all day - no issues. So, this latest version seems to have an issue when manageing / accessing memory which makes the software unusable. Can't see any reason why and nothing I tried or did while using the very latest version

Hello, I'm using a MAC Studio M1 Max chip32gb RAMmacOS SonomaPremiere 24.6.1 and my Exports simply freeze and won't work until I quit and reopen Premiere.I've cleared the cache, did the workaround with the workspaces, downgraded to previous '24 versions but the problem continues.I've tried this with lots of projects, even new and light ones.I have lots of space 1TB (700 gb free), so this can't be a problem too.It's very annoying and time consuming having to quit Premiere everytime I have to do an export... Can you please help? Many thanks,RenatoThanks,

Hey This problem has been happening way too often the past few months, at this point i don't even know why i'm paying for my cc licence. I can't edit properly any project as all my footage is stuck on the "media pending" screen and in the project in the media folder, all the footage have grey thumbnails. I'm on Macbook pro M2 32GB memory with 1000GB storage (ap. 50 GB of free space)I'm working on 4K footages, all stored on my hard drive (no external drive) and it has become impossible to do anything on Premiere.  I tried everything, reinstalling the app, dumping the cache folder, reseting preferences, creating a new project etc etc nothing works, I'm so frustrated and consider switching to Da vinci (there I have no issues playing my files).   If you have any tips on how I can solve this problem, my project is quite small (one sequence, 180GB of footage). I can't even do regular playback on any clips (but they do show up correctly in the finder). Thank youu

Since 24.3 I have an annoying problem that ruins my workflow. Every 5 minutes or so when editing subtititles (I translate them to different language) Premiere Pro crashes. All sections become black, I get hit with some pop up window which is blank and I have no idea what the problem is. Please see the attached picture. The good thing is that I can close said pop-up window by pressing Esc and save my work prior to manually closing the program and starting it again. During one our of working with subtitles I get this problem like...5-6 times? Maybe more. I do not use *any* 3rd party software or plugins. I already tried Reset app Preferences" and "Disable third-party plugins at launch" options. I use RTX4090, have i9 processor and 32GB RAM, so I have enough computing power. Windows 11. Again, there was no such problem in Premiere Pro 23, it started after updating to 24. Also, when I have one 25 minutes video with subtitles, usually there are no crashes. But if I have 5

When I try to mask on any of the 2024 versions it stops the playback and won't let me do anything else.  At the bottom, it shows the mask is applied but you can't see it in the playback and the video won't play.I'm able to use a mask in the oldest 2023 version. Is this the case with everyone or is there a solution? I reinstalled, and reset preferences nothing seems to work accept using the 2023 version. 

This has been on going for a while now and I've had absolutely zero luck with all my attempts to fix. Premiere will open fine. if I try to open an existing project that will open and operate fine as well. Very shortly after trying to start a new project, the app will crash complately. A few of the things I've triedLatest Version of PremiereOlder Version of PremiereClearing App and Workspace PreferencesComplete UninstallWindows UpdatesVideo Card driver updates/rollback/studio version. Plenty of free space and ram available. I had this audio and imported for a week and have been working on the project all fine and now the waveform in one of the audio tracks has vanished. I have no idea why?I can still hear the audio and have tried rendering the audio already.Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks very much.

I've been working on Premiere for over a decade, and this is one of the strangest things I've experienced... I spent all Monday morning working on a project. Saved it throughout the editing session, etc. Opened up Premiere today and none of the work had actually saved - the project was where I had left off Sunday night.  The most frustrating (and confusing) part is that my Premiere project is acknowledging the last change made was Monday at 12:00p (exactly when I stopped working). All of the autosaves also acknowledge that I worked all morning, but none of them reflect the actual work that was done.  I'm mentally preparing myself to have lost 5 hours of work, but any ideas? Hey everyone,My source and playback monitors in Premiere Pro keep freezing and turning black every 1 to 4 minutes. When this happens, I can still move the cursor through the timeline, cut and move clips, and save the project, but the playback stops working. If I restart Premiere Pro, it works again, but only for a few seconds or minutes before freezing again. チップはM1Max メモリ64GBのMacBookPro（16インチ、2021）を使用しています。OSはMac OS Sonoma Ver.14.5です。 Sonomaに関する既知のバグと対処法は把握しております。今回は、エンコードについて相談と報告をしたく思います。 60iのmxfファイルを書き出し、XDcamにダビング・再生すると画面にカクツキが生じます。正確には、インターレースの書き出しが正常に行われておらず、捜査線の半分がうまく表示されていないという印象の映像となります。色の情報量が少なく画質が悪く見え、動きがカクついてしまうという状態となります。 メディアエンコーダーを使用して「ソフトウェアレンダリング」を選択してエンコードすれば正常に書き出しすることはできました。ですので、おそらく　MacOS sonomaか、Appleシリコンが１番の原因かとは思いますが、ご報告をさせていただきたいと思います。 今後ともよろしくお願いいたします。

Okay so with the latest Update i am unable to create cqaptions with the text pannnels it is not shpowing up in the workspace even after trying to open it Multiple Times

Premiere pro is buggy and will not close properly if i am not on my works internet. Media encoder has the same issue but not affecting other cc apps. Any ideas? I have used PP for many years in other corporate settings and never had this issue.

I may have completely missed something here but I'm struggling with media start time.I've never paid it much attention before but I'm currently working on a project where it would be very beneficial for me to be able to put a lot of footage from multiple sources in the order they were shot. I've noticed though that my cameras are showing wildly different "media start" times in the bins. Each camera's footage is in the correct sequential order. But a clip that was shot at around 9.30am (windows properties tab says media creation time is 9.33am) is being given a "media start" time of 15.09pm.Having never paid much heed to timecodes before have i fundamentally missed something or is something messed up?using ver 24.5 and files ar all h.264 mpgs from Sony Alpha cameras 

Basically if you use the slip tool to change a clip timecode in beta or in normal PPro, it will start to lag when the playhead enters the clip that you have "slipped" if you bring it back normal, it will not lag. I work on a Mac M2 Ultra It has this bug with every project i made. The Clip Resolution i'm using (then i will crop both track to make a single 4k Track with nesting)Recording Format i'm using. From what i remeber even with normal h265 (not hybrid) had the same problems. Please Fix, i'm using the Slip tool a lot!

I've attempted to export a 7-hr long video 7 times in the last 9 days, EVERY SINGLE ONE HAS FROZEN around the 2hrs remaining mark. Encoding just stops and the spinning wheel reveals whenever I drag the cursor to the Media Encoder window.  ((FYI -I've exported 20hr long videos using the exact same settings this year without ANY issues)).  TImeline is ALL footage from my Sony a7s3 cameras. NO third party plugins used anywhere in the timeline. NO effects used, aside from the "cross dissolve" video transition.  Timeline preview plays without issue and scrubbing through the timeline does not freeze at all.  I've tried exporting using Media Encoder -Failed.  I've tried exporting directly from PP -failed. I've tried exporting using different export settings via a "built in" preset -failed. I"ve tried exporting in 2hr segments -failed.   My machine: m1 max64GB4TB HDD Export Settings: HEVC (h.265)4KHi

Insta 360 x4 footage randmly panning and tilting on timeline. Won't allow me to fully complete a sequence edit.  Any suggestion?

When I set hot keys to reveal in project/finder it yet again doesn't work. Such a shame that this is an issue again as it was fixed for a bit of time there. I use this hot key soooo often, it's incredibly frustrating. Honestly hard not to vent when you pay through the roof for these programs and theres just constant bugs in them.  My specs are: M1 32gb RAM Mac OS 14.5

This seems like a new issue.  Got a 6 minute edit made up of various cameras, adj layers, music, SFX, GFX titles, etc. All was fine. Suddenly, hit export - NOTHING HAPPENS. I render the timeline in small sections to see what the problem is; today, the problem is a title. It won't even load the title, just freezes. The other day the problem was a particular shot from an Insta 360 camera. I've cleared caches, rebooted, etc, all plug-ins that should be installed are installed. Never had problems until last week and today. Anyone have this issue and know of a fix aside from throwing the mac out the window?
