Hi Adobe team 👋 First of all, I want to say how impressed I am with the new “Remove Dust” feature in Camera Raw. It works incredibly well — the AI mapping and automatic cleanup of lens dust is a huge time-saver and very accurate. I’d love to suggest an extension of this feature to cover other types of image contamination, especially dead or burned pixels caused by sensor damage. In my case, my camera sensor was hit by a laser, and now I have a few fixed pixel spots that appear in every photo. When I use a fixed lens, the position stays consistent, which makes it easier to correct. But with zoom lenses, the location of the damaged pixels shifts slightly, so I have to manually fix each image one by one. It would be amazing if Camera Raw could include a “Remove Pixel Damage” option — something that detects and corrects these recurring pixel artifacts across a batch of images. I believe this could be implemented similarly to the dust removal logic, and it would help many photograph
ACR 17.5 became very GPU memory hungry. It takes only one Sony's RAW file to open via Bridge, make some basic adjustements, denoise, make a few masks (eg. select subject, select object, brush, create mask by duplicating inverted, etc) and ACR consumes whole 24 GB of RTX 3090 card (system (Win 11) with e-mail client, web browser and Bridge opened consume about 700-900 MB of GPU RAM). Then I close ACR, close Bridge, reopen it, open the same file in ACR (including the masks prepared earlier) and do nothing, watching as VRAM ocupation curve in Task Manager's Performance tab climbs slowly till it reaches the max capacity and the 'Out of GPU ram' tab apears (as shown on the attached screenshot).I'm working on Win11, i7 11700K, 32GB RAM, RTX 3090.I post it as separate bug report as @Aleke told me to do.
When using the Remove tool, the borders and pins don't always appear. I have to hover over the "show overlay on hover" text on the right to make them show up, and then sometimes they disppear. This is a new issue with 17.4. This was not an issue with prevous verisons of ACR. See video attached.Mac M2, ACR 17.4
Hi all,In one of the previous recent iterations of either PS, Bridge or ACR whenever I hit Done in ACR after completing an edit I was automatically switched back to my open Bridge window. Prior to that version, and in the latest versions too, the default upon hitting Done in ACR had always been to switch me back to the open (empty) PS window, and I had always had to re-open the Bridge window by clicking it in my taskbar. This small thing saved me about a couple of million keystrokes in the brief time the function existed! Can anyone echo my experience, or show me how to establish that behaviour again? I'm afraid I didn't really take notice of in which version or PS, Bridge or ACR that behaviour began - I just offered up a thankful prayer and got on with my work - and I'm in the habit of just installing whatever update comes down the road automatically. I sure did appreciate that small function though, especially when working with a big file-set. Can anyone shed any light on this p
Adobe Camera Raw 17.5 错误批量降噪非常慢,旧版只需要6秒一张批量降噪后写入AI设置会卡住批量格式转换会导致计算机崩溃 降噪后没有dng非常不方便,bug后需要重新进行。 64G+3060TI+i9
In Adobe Camera Raw, with a studio portrait, shot on clean grey background for example, I can easily mask the subject (or background). How can I create a streak of "feathered" light across the background, to go BEHIND the subject?(I know how to do radial and lineal gradients)I'm sure I watched a tutorial earlier this year but can't remember how to.Your help would be appreciated, thanks
Hello all,I'm quite new to the world of Camera Raw and Photoshop, and have looked online for the answer to my question without success. When I open a RAW (.ORF) file in Camera Raw I typically start off with the Auto button, but I often find the suggested Exposure isn't correct (which is easy to fix) but sometimes I find the colours have changed and look a bit too vivid or have a colour cast making the image look unrealistic. (I'm editing bird photos so I'm looking for something that accurately reflects what I saw with my eyes.)I can see that the Auto button changes the following:Light> Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, BlacksColor> Vibrance, SaturationIs this the complete list, or does the Auto button change anything else behind the scenes? Thanks.
LR doesn't correctly display the colors of JPEG XL's created in various color spaces by Photoshop 26.8, though several other programs on Mac and Windows do. Since Photoshop and five other programs all display the .jxls identically, that strongly indicates a bug in LR. Tested on LR 14.4 / PS 26.8 / Mac OS 15.5. 1. Download and open this catalog:https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/vjd3laedf2jffxrle602i/photoshop-jxl.2025-06-24.zip?rlkey=8zbxn5so4y35j7n9clf8hmls4&dl=0 2. The catalog contains x.png, in the Prophoto RGB color space, plus five eponymous .jxl's created by selecting x.png, doing Edit In > Photoshop. In Photoshop, do Convert To Profile, select the desired profile, then Save As, JPEG XL, Embed Color Profile, Lossy, Quality 100. The files and color spaces appear in LR: x-srgb.jxl (correct) x-displayp3.jxl (correct) x-adobergb.jxl (incorrect) x-prophoto.jxl (incorrect) x-rec2020gamma2-2.jxl (incorrect) appear as: 3. These p
Please update DNG Profile Editor to the latest DNG specifications so that new feature such as HDR profile can be adjusted.
Though it is better than it was, I find the selection tools in camera raw editor have difficulty recognising people with darker skin tones and it's making me a bit miserable.
¡Hola! ¿Alguna idea? ¡Saludos y gracias! Iñigo
I know the sliders allow to fade in and out the selected range, but this still produces bad results in several situations. Blur is different from fading, and it gives better results under many circumstances.
Hey, Adobe! why isn't it here yet?! It's a super handy feature to compare the files. Especially when they are shot with different camera settings / lighting conditions, but you have to make them look similar. Lightroom has this feature for ages, but as a retoucher I have small series & process them in ACR. (the screenshot is from a Youtube tutorial)
I can't still use the remove reflection filter.I created a post weeks ago with the latest Adobe raw update and still no results. It is very annoying that no solution has been found for this yet.Info Mac OS. see screenshot.
Merci
It would be good to have an "are you sureyou want to dismiss" request after pressing ESC in ACR. I have occasionally pressed it by accident and it dismisses ACR instantly which can result in hours of lost work. It would be good to demand a confirmation to save us from our own finger trouble!
In ACR 17.4, select multiple images and apply denoise. Highlight the amount number field and try to type something like "65". Expected: Denoise will be updated to level 65 Actual: Denoise changes start while typing and are updated at level 6. Entering 65 is not possible. Then with multiple images still selected, try to move the slider Expected: Denoise will be updated on mouse up, once user stops moving slider Actual: Denoise is applied immediately, so the desired level cannot be selected The only workaround i have found is to copy/paste the desired adjustment into the amount field. Noted on Intel Mac, ACR 17.4, Sequoia 15.5.
I'd like to have the cross closing icon at the upper right corner of the ACR window. The same function as the Cancel button, but in a more user friendly location, IMHO 🙂When I open files for a qick review and then want to close the window, intuitively I move the cursor to the upper corner... again and again. I believe, I'm not alone, heh
It works for ages in LR, why don't we have it in ACR?One scroll of the mouse wheel changes the value by 5 points (or 0.1 for the exposure). It's very handy.
Each time I open camera raw and want to remove relfections, the quality is set default to "preview".Can there be an option to set the default of reflections removal to another quality settings.I would suggest an option in "preferences"
Presets and snapshots often save with the wrong or outdated settings—even when saved repeatedly—causing changes to be lost or reverted. I'm using Camera Raw 17.5, but this has been a frustrating issue for some time.
What's new in this update? The August 2025 release of Adobe Camera Raw supports the following feature enhancements, along with new cameras, lenses, and fixed bugs. Remove dust spots in a photo - Automatically detect and remove spots created by dust on your camera's sensor. Download DNG Converter 17.5 To update Camera Raw to 17.5, click "Update" in the Creative Cloud desktop app next to Camera Raw. More detailed instructions for updating
ACR 17.4. I already reported that copy/paste is the only way to make a change to denoise amount, typing into the amount field or moving the slider doesn't work. Even then, multiple image settings cannot be changed. Load multiple images into ACR Select all, apply denoise Copy/paste a new amount into the denoise amount field Expected: Denoise amount will be changed for all selected images, LIKE EVERY OTHER ADJUSTMENT IN ACR Actual: Nope. Only the first image will be changed. EVERY IMAGE MUST BE INDIVIDUALLY UPDATED. ACR on Intel Mac, 15.5 Sequoia.
I had an unusual experience when I demonstrated PS and ACR to a meeting. I had my laptop screen duplicated to the projector and had opened a RAW file in ACR at some stage before doing other things in PS. I closed the lid of the laptop and when I got home and tried to open a RAW file, the PS blank screen came up and the laptop froze. There was a ding when I tried to do anything. It took a while for the penny to drop and I attached a second screen and there was ACR still on the second screen when I extended the laptop screen reather than duplicating. I seems that ACR still retained athe second screen redirection even when there was only the one screen available, being just the laptop. This appears to be a bug to me as PS knew to display on the single screen but ACR does not. I was lucky to have access to a second screen. But if I could not then PS would have been unusable for RAW files showing on the 'hidden' ACR on a pseudo second screen.
