Hi everyone,I'm working on a training course in Captivate (12/2023) and need help with an accessibility issue.Currently, slide audio narration and videos autoplay, which conflicts with screen readers and causes users to miss important content. Specifically, the audio from narration and videos start at the same time screen readers begin announcing slide content.Is there a way in Captivate to disable autoplay for slide audio and single videos?I tried removing the slide audio and setting up a button to let users choose when to play the audio clip, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to add captions to this audio which causes another accessibility issue. I also turned off 'autoplay' in the preference settings, but to no avail. Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

I've encountered a persistent issue while working on a simulation project in Captivate 2023. Whenever I attempt to edit slide #5, the screen turns completely white and all functions become greyed out. The error states: An unexpected error has occurred, which may cause Captivate to behave unexpectedly. You can restart Captivate with backed-up project. This problem is isolated to this specific slide and does not occur with any others. Additionally, the same error was replicated on a colleague's system, ruling out a PC-specific problem. My version of Captivate is up to date, so I'm at a loss for solutions. Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Bonjour, j'ai un txt bos sur une page qui affiche du texte et une variable (le nom du user) que j'ai stocker un peu plus tôt. Ce box affiche mon texte assez fin. La page suivante c'est un box txt avec que du texte. Le text s'affiche soudainement plus gras et légèrement flou. Mes 2 box sont en Arial 20. Vous savez ce que je peux faire que mes texte affiche comme il faut partout?J'ai essayer en utilisant des smart object et c'est apreil.Merci    

In certain places within the .mp4 output the mouse begins to move slowly and then suddenly jumps to it's destination. I checked the Captivate source file, and on the slides in question there is nothing amiss with the mouse behavior or it's orientation. The mouse has the additional "Show for rest of slide" option applied to it. But on other slides with this behavior, there is no issue. This only occurrs in the .mp4 output, not within the Captivate project and NOT in the HTML output. My reviewers can only view .mp4 output and they see bizarre mouse movements. How can I fix this?

Hi, is anyone here who created a custom quiz slide and result page for their project?I can't seem to get a direct answer from Adobe on how it can be achieved. I am new to using Adobe Captivate, so it isn't very clear. If anyone can help me out here. Thanks

After years of being able to run Captivate content on SharePoint Online (we have to rename index.html to index.aspx, and then everything used to run perfectly), Microsoft is tightening down on script files. Now things don't run perfectly, resulting in the browser either downloading the .aspx file, or a white screen where nothing loads. At this time, we've got a workaround, but Microsoft will be tightening down even more in November, and there are a lot of eLearning developers out there saying they're going to move to SharePoint Framework (SPFx) in order to be able to continue delivering their eLearning on SharePoint Online. I'm curious if anyone here has experience using SPFx and if it works reliably and consistently with eLearning? 

Hi, completely new to Captivate and just finished creating my first assessment. The project is a title page with 15 multiple choice quiz slides and results slide. I do not need LMS intergration at the moment, it is being used as a one time assessment and then the results are shown to the trainer to confirm the pass. The published project works no problem on my laptop but opens up a blank page on a tablet (Samsung Internet and Chrome). I feel I am missing something small but can't figure it out. Thank you in advance.

I'm trying to preview a responsive project in Captivate and when I hit Preview > Project, it takes me to my browser where it just loads indefinitely. No clue what's happening. I'm using Captivate 2017 and have never used it before.

I have a relatively new version of Adobe Captivate 5.02.630.  I have never been able to publish to print anything.  Instead, I get the message "Publish to MS Word failed. Retry after ensuring that     -the document is not open.     -you have installed Micorsoft Word.I have Microsoft Word.  I have made sure that my project is residing on my C drive.  I don't understand how I'm suppose to ensure that the document is not open. I am using a PC and version 5.02.630 of Adobe Captivate.

Hello, I've just recently started using Captivate, and any time I attempt to download any type of asset the screen stops at "Getting Assets from the Asset Store". The "loading" icon keeps moving, but nothing happens no matter how long the screen is kept open. I was unable to find this same topic elsewhere- am I missing something?  

HelloI have a dashboard of basic navigation buttons. I have used this for a number of courses, but in the last  few days - using the same template- they just suddenly decide not to work.  Even when I delete the side, remake it, it only works for a few previews then won't click through anymore.  The only one which consistantly works in the bottom right tile...but they are all set up the same...and always have been on every one of my other courses which work.Can anyone help?  Each button is just a shape, made into a button (No states) and a Jump to action.   Am I going mad?  Thank you 🙂 

Hi.  Is there any way to Select Multiple Choice Answers using Keyboard controls in Captivate 12?  Currently I can tab to an answer but not select it.  In order to make it accessible I need to make this available. Thank you. 

Hi everyone, I am new to Adobe Captivate and am wondering if there is a way I can create an interactive troublehsooting guide for users, and also capture their responses so we also have a record of what steps they followed while troubleshooting.  I would like this guide to include instructions coupled with images/videos, and the guide to progress according to the steps they take.  

I created a training using Captivate 12.3 and when I upload it to my LMS (NeoGOV) as a Scorn 1.2 file, the training works great, however, if we close the training before completing and we try to resume it will just open up a blank page and leaving us unable to complete the training. I do have reporting enabled and never send data disabled. Appreciate any suggestions thank you.

Hello, I've designed a set of projects and each of them is linked with the other through interactions, but when I publish it, the link doesn't work. I don't work with HTML pages oftenly so I guess I'm doing something wrong, how do you do so that two project are linked together as html pages (after publication) when you click on a button ? Thanks ! 

I am using one of the project assets. (Cyber Security)  Went through and made some changes, and everything is working as expected until I get to the Assessment Introduction. I can click on the start button but nothing happens. I have verified there are no interaction on the slides themselves, and that the button interaction is set to go to the first question. I have tried reloading that particular slide and i have tried building a new slide. Neither works. I am thinking that there is a setting somewhere that I am missing. Please help!Thanks in AdvanceBen

I have a 10 second software simulation which I would like to place inside of a responsive project (about 4 minutes).1.  How can I do this?2. Should I output this in SWF or HTML5?  I don't need to record scores or identities.  I just need people to click through the slides and also do some of the knowledge check questions.

Hello! Little quiz question here. Is there a simple way to have user retake a course after failing a quiz let's say 3 times? Right now, using version 12.3.0.12, after every failed quiz attempt, I ask the program to jump to the slide before the quiz. I also have a maximum number of attempts (3). I tried failing the quiz 3 times, and after the 3rd fail, it takes me back to the slide I'm supposed to go to, and the Next button is disabled, so the learner is kinda stuck. Is there a simple work around? Am I missing something? Or would I have to use variables and advanced actions to have them start over the course?

I am testing my course on scorm cloud. In my course Quiz questions are present. All the Quiz slides are built using default Question slides template provided by Adobe Captivate 12.3. When I retake the quiz and close the course while taking the Quiz. Relaunch the course again, it redirects me to the question slide where I left last time. Then I select the option and try to submit the Quiz. The Submit button gets disabled. I am not able to submit my question.

Hi Community,  is it possible to include an interaction built in classic into the new captivate 12, similarily to how you can include a Storyline block into a Rise course?  How can this be done?  Thank you for your help 🙂 

Hello community. I am getting started with the current captivate version coming from classic. As I am building courses, I have been unable to get a slide to advance automatically with the widget settings.Even when I place a new click to reveal widget and change nothing, the slide does not advance after all the elements are clicked. Am I missing something simple here? If this isn't working right now, what are best practices in this version for restricted/forced navigation?

I am creating a course which contains 3 Question Slides (Q1, Q2, Q3) and 1 result slide after that. Before Question slide Q1 there is one slide which contains start button to start the quiz And after Result Slides there are two slide called tool1, tool2. In table of content I have hide the Q1, Q2, Q3, result slide. When I click on the tool1 slide on TOC it redirect me to Q1 slide and when I click on the tool2 slide on TOC it redirect me to Q2 slide. What will be reason? Why it is not redirecting me to tool1 and tool2 slides when I click tool1 and tool2 on Table of Content. I am not able to solve this issue. Thanks in Advance.

Hi Community, is there a way to increase padding and space around the image in the drag and drop widget? also the card with the drop options moves and covers some of the image but hides behind the next block. Has anybody customised these features? Thank you for your help 🙂  

Hi, I am using Captivate 12.3.0.12. I created my own custom theme including all UI components. The custom theme was applied when I added each interactive components on the slide, however, that did not apply to the button, checkbox, radio group etc on any of the Question Slides. Please see screenshot below. Anyone encounter the same problem and how can I solve it? Hey awesome people, We're fairly new to using Captivate 12 and are encountering an issue whereby if a learner submits a quiz answer and navigates back to the quiz slide, that they get stuck with no way to proceed forwards, backwards, or open up the TOC.  Answer All - The user must answer every question to continue What we've tried so far: Allowing Backwards Movement then allows a Back button to be added to the Quiz slide. This at least allows the learner to navigate to the page before the quiz if needed - they can then proceed by opening to TOC and selecting the slide after the quiz slide (quite cumbersome and unintuative).  We've also tried disabling "Allow Backwards Movement" which prevents navigating back to the quiz page and removes the Back button from the quiz page itself; however if the learner uses the TOC to navigate to any page before the quiz slide and follows the course flow there's also a chance of them getting stuck and unable to proceed
