Having an issue in our LMS when failing a quiz and sitting on the results page with the retake button displayed. If you exit the course and then come back in the course just spins and never reloads to where you can continue. Any other time you exit it works fine. Have been working with publish setting s and nothing seems to work

This has been going on for a while now, but it seems to be coming more common with newer phonesWhen viewing the HTML5 exports, on some of the phones we'll see the desktop view instead of the mobile view. It doesn't shrink down to fit the screen size.We've seen this on the Pixels, Galaxy S8 and the Plus phones. Is this the result of a export setting? We don't see this issue on any of the other phoneswe're using captivate 2017

Is there a way to keep the playbar still on a video? Currently, when I preview it in HTML5, the playbar moves when I hover over the video as it's playing and goes back to the bottom when I navigate away. Is there a way I can just keep it still?

I want to create a "product finder quiz". Basically you answer questions and at the end you receive a product recommendation.It's a bit trickier because the quiz includes conditional steps (depending on how you answer the question, you get to a different following question).My question:Study case: (The questions below are multiple choice questions)Question 1Question 2Question 3AAABBBCCCLet's say that the answers Q1 - A, Q2 - C and Q3 - C, lead to a specific product recommendation at the end of the quiz.Is it possible to do that with Captivate?Ps. There are lots of conditional answers, therefore paths that you can take along the quiz. Which leads to a broad variety of product recommendations. To connect answers to nummerical values, that results in a score tied to a product, would not be possible.Thank you so much for reading. Hi There,I've inserted a hyperlink against a text caption (see below image) and it's unresponsive on click. Even when you hover over the hyperlinked text, the cursor doesn't change - it acts like there's no link. I have tested in preview and uploaded to LMS.However, when you move your mouse down the page a little (to the text 'and information you must understand'), the cursor changes AND I'm able to click and open the link. It's as if the link positioning has been moved down the page.I know that I could add a shape - but as the project is responsive, the shape just gets pushed all over the page as you change the screen size.If anyone has any ideas on how to fix, that'd be great.I use Adobe Captivate 2017.

I am working in Captivate 2017 and recorded a system demonstration. Of 156 slides 6 of them are not displaying correctly when previewing the slide or publishing. The slides contain a captured screen, caption(s) and a mouse. When I look at a slide in Captivate, it appears fine, however, during preview, within the same slide, the screen changes and displays unintended content, in some cases, it only partially displays the captured screen. Please advise. I am publishing to .swf

HII created a .mp4 video (using Techsmith Camtasia). The file contains a couple of blur call-outs to cover some confidential information. When i import the .mp4 file into Captivate, the blur feature disappeared and i am able to see the confidential info. (the file works just fine if you view the .mp4 outside of Captivate). Any idea as to why it's not showing up?  I have reached out to Techsmith support as well to ask them this same question.If there is no fix, i suppose the only work around would be to blur info out by adding a shape over it within Captivate, correct?thanks, Marion

Hi group.I have an advanced action that is used to stop the playback of audio when returning to a slide.There are certain points in the audio of the slide where buttons appear. When I return to the slide, I want the buttons to automatically show instead of waiting until their appearance on the timeline. I got the audio part to work fine, so when I return to the slide the audio doesn't playback. But the buttons are still not appearing until their appointed time on the timeline. I tried using another Assign item to set the variable GoToFrame to a point after the buttons appear on the timeline, but it's not working. Anything else I could try? I've included screens of my conditional action below. Thanks.

Another group has a Captivate 7 project that they are trying to open from a year ago to update.  They are trying to open it in CP7.  They get this error message no matter where they try to open it.  None of these bullets seem to apply to this project.  They are in St. Louis and when they couldn't open it they sent it to us here in Alabama and we get these same error messages.Thanks in advance for any help.Susan

Since I have started using CP 17, my mouse movements are not recording in software simulation. I have to manually add the mouse to each slide and then adjust it's location. I have mouse location and movement box checked, but still it's not picking up the mouse movement.Thank you in advance for any suggestion!

All Input is welcome and appreciated.I need to add a Check Mark image to a custom TOC after specific slides are viewed by the participant.Unfortunately my Advanced Action / Scripting  skills are not getting me past the hurdle.I assume I am on the correct path by needing to create variables for each slide that needs to be viewed however finding a way to conditionally connect them to an inbuilt "slide viewed" variable value is escaping me.Perhaps the images attached can better explain what I need to do.Note 1: The Circle in the image is a Smart Shape however it is not possible, to my knowledge, to create multi-conditional states within a single "Visible" state for a smart shape.Note 2: You do see a Custom TOC. This seems like a glitch, but I'm hoping there is a fix.Problem: When I record a software simulation where the mouse movements are places on each slide, the mouse cursor is initially depicted as slightly larger than it should be; it is a little bit bigger and blurrier. It is NOT "double sized", that option is NOT selected, and it is NOT intended to be selected. This is something else.Some Background: I typically use a custom mouse. However this happens even with the default cursors. In order to use my custom cursor I change one of the cursors to my custom mouse and then apply my custom mouse to all slides. Doing this does not fix the initially enlarged mouse; it basically just swap in an enlarged version of my custom mouse. In order to fix the issue, I literally have to go to each slide and simply click on the mouse cursor in the slide, then click on my custom mouse in the mouse properties; doing this removes the enlarged aspect and displays it as normal. I'm using Captivate 2017. I want to control when the mouse cursor becomes visible on a slide so that it doesn't obscure something I'm explaining on the slide. One would think that control would be the Appear After setting in the Timing Properties, but that seems to have no effect--the mouse is there from the beginning of the slide, even though I've set the Appear After setting to 4 secs. I've resorted to copying the background of the slide and pasting it back into the slide as a separate object, then setting it to fade a few tenths of a second after the mouse begins on the Timeline. Hi People,I have created an interactive video on a single slide with several points where the learner is asked a couple of questions (right and wrong). For each question, the learner gets feedback, which once read, they click on to continue viewing the video. Each question and corresponding answer is a shape containing text which has been converted to a button. The command to show each answer is a simple Show. Each question and shape have unique names. All answers are hidden in the On Enter Advanced Action.The Show command controls when the answers when there is only that command. But I would like to control the showing and hiding of each answer with an advanced action at each question as I am allowing the learner to be able to scroll through the video in either direction, and also to restart the video at any point. If the learner restarts, the On Enter Advanced Action doesn't work.The problem I am having is that any advanced actions I attach to an individual question doesn't appear to

With Captivate 10, we can move the CC to anywhere on the page.  Is there a way to apply the settings we have for one slide to the entire project?Thank you!

HI,Since the last update, the HTML 5 Publish format doesn’t work anymore  with My iPad air 2 IOS9.2.1 (Safari and Google Chrome) and with my older nexus table Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. (Google Chrome).My older projectors are still working on both tablet. I don’t have any issues with my PC since the last update. (window 8.1, Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer).I'm using Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013Is there a way to roll back to the last update or to fix this problem.Thanks!

We are trying to publish a CP9 project in HTML5 only format and whether on the desktop or a shared drive get an error saying it can't publish the assets.I'm hoping someone will have an idea that won't be recreating the whole project.Thanks in advance.Susan

Hi, I am new to the software but made my first video just fine.Then I tempered with the Properties and lost the ability to height buttons, no matter what I do they not recording anymore.Another issue is there no recording sound on every click and slides are considerably less number then expecting, skipping steps in software simulation.I went back to the property, followed the tutorial, but the problem is still there.Please let me know if I am missing anything.RegardsViktoria

I am having issues with the video quality of my published demos degrading signifcantly, especially when I upload them to YouTube.  Any help or tips would be appreciated.  Thanks is advance for any help.  Here are the details:I am running the 2017 Release (10.0.0.192)I have tried the video demo on full screen and also application (application region).  The video looks good when I publish it as an mp4 (I've tried the YouTube HD as well as custom settings to match my window screen size), but then when I upload it to YouTube the video is extremely fuzzy and I can't even play it as an HD format eventhough, I published HD quality.What am I missing?  

Hi thereI was thinking if it would be possible to have a pre-loader in Captivate that would show how many % is being currently loading?One can make a pretty cool pre-loader in Adobe Animate but it is then exported as a GIF so there is no way to show the % loading.Any ideas?Thanks in advance

I'm totally new to Adobe Captivate. This is my first try to create interactive video.Imported a multi-slide synchronized MP4 video into Captivate.It shows in the first slide on the timeline and on the slide. But when I use the slider of the timeline, the video always shows frame one. Even when when the slider of the timeline is on the last frame, the first frame is still shown on the slide. Is there a way to solve this problem?I need to put some interactions on different parts of the video on specific places but this is hard to do when I can't view it by changing the slider of the timeline.

I was looking here for an option to be able to use the space bar as a shortcut, but it doesn't seem to allow this. All I need it for the space bar to continue the project if selected. Any ideas?

I have a decision slide with two buttons (See It & Try It).  Each button advances the user to specific slides within the training, however after the user hears the initial audio and clicks the first button, (See it), when they come back to the decision slide I can't figure out how to pause the slide audio and play the second audio (instructing the user to click the Try it button).  I am thinking it's an advanced action however I can't figure out how to set up the advanced action; at the slide level or the button level and how to set up the conditions of the advanced action.Any help is appreciated.
