Captivate

All of a sudden my png images with transparent backgrounds are only showing up with black backgrounds in Captivate. I thought it was the photoshop at first but when I tried to pull old png images in that showed up fine before, the black background showed up. ANy ideas? Hopefully I am explaining this clearly.

In the Text Entry Box field, I want to restrict the user to type SD1234 text. Where first two characters should be "SD" and rest can be any numeric values. Please suggest if I can achieve this validation through IF condition of the advanced action.

Hello,Unable to login to Captivate(2019) since morning and the error that pops up is as below. I am using Windows 10  (Build 18363.1679) and have all my browser and OS up to date.This comes up when I open Captivate and once i click on sign in.Update requiredYour browser or operating system is no longer supported. You may need to install the latest updates to your operating system. Kindly help!

Good morning. I am attempting to use the drag and drop learning interaction that comes pre-packaged with Flash CS3 and import it into Captivate for use in a Captivate based e-learning exercise. I create the drag and drop just fine in Flash, and it looks perfect when I publish it in Flash, etc. When I attempt to use the EXACT same SWF in Captivate, however, it does not work. I can move the drags around the screen, but they will not "drop" where they are supposed to. Thinking maybe I broke the template, I went ahead and just imported it 100% unchanged from Flash into Captivate (without me messing around with it changing things around) and it does the exact same thing. I have successfully used my own homemade flash "widgets" in Captivate, to include like click and reveal type interactions...for whatever reason, though, I can't get this one to work, even though I know it works perfectly in Flash. Hi, I am using Captivate to make a multiple choice quiz.. I have 5 questions, each question have multiple answers, what I need is after showing each question the user will select his answer and the answer will appear after that right a way just telling him if it is right or wrong with some illustartion. That is it . But when I am doing the multiple choice quiz it appears that the result show up at the end of the quiz without anypossibility of showing the result after each question? I thought of doing separated projects but I want to link them together but I could not ? Any idea appreciate a a fast reply

I have been using registered version of Adobe Presenter ( I have a serial number) for some time. Now I receive the following error message:"Adobe Presenter failed to open because either it is not licensed or there is an error in the licensing system. Please close and re-launch PowerPoint and enter serial number to license it. If this problem persists, reinstall this product and try again."The registration page pops up but just briefly--too fast to click the accept/decline buttons. I have tried deleting the Office and Adobe preference files under User as well as uninstalling/reinstalling but the error message persists making presenter unusable. I also tried to install just a a trial version but also receive the same error message.System is Win 7. As I said I have been using it for over a year successfully.What can I do to fix this?Thanks...Dave

I have created a training module that has a short flash video in it.  I am working in Captivate 8.  When I preview the project in Captivate it works fine.  When I publish it and select "view output" at completion it works fine.  When I go into the file after this time, the slide with the video is gone. I am at a loss for what might be causing this.  I saw some previous threads saying that I might need to know what version the Flash video was created in.  Not sure what Flash version it was designed for, but it was published out of the Pinnacle software if that helps any. Any suggestions are appreciated.Thanks!

Hi - When I try clicking "Interactive Video" and try inserting "slide video" link from vimeo, it says 100% but then sticks til I click cancel. Hello, I previously posted this under a different title, but wondered if I might get more help with a new title.I have recently installed Office 2010 (not an upgrade from 2007). Normally I operate on a Mac, but I am using a PC for the specific purpose of using Presenter 7. I have a brand new version of windows XP Pro with sp3. I purchased Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, which installed successfully with the provided serial number. Presenter 7 is also included in the software, but there is not a separate serial number for it.  Adobe recently announced that Presenter 7 would support Office 2010, but I have been on the phone with them all evening (first Customer Support, then Tech Support, then the install team, then Adobe Connect, and back to Customer Support) and nobody there has been able to help me get the program installed properly.There are two problems.1) When I use the Presenter 7 install disk, I am given an error that says "Microsoft PowerPoint cannot be detected." We have a number of SCORM 1.2 courses published from Captivate 5 that are getting stuck on the grey Loading.. screen.What is odd about this is that the course launches fine on initial launch.If you then close after a couple of pages and relaunch, bookmarking works fine; it opens to the correct page.If you complete the course and close, The content is marked as completed in the LMS.IF you then relaunch, it takes you to the final page, which has a button to allow you to retake. That button works correctly and navigates to page 1.If you then navigate a few pages in, close the course and attempt to relaunch, it always hangs at the Loading... page.Any ideas?Thank you,Michael

Hi,I have received a series of tutorials in presenter via an email, however when I attempt to open them 4 squares appear with a blue light that flashed clockwise around the squares but the tutorials won't open.  Any help greatly appreciated. 

I am new to developing on-demand training and my company has adopted AdobePresenter which will be used in conjunction with AdobeTraining. I have spent quite a bit of time figuring out how to enhance the audio quality of recordings for use in a training and have had success using Audacity to do so.  This seems like it will work fine for audio voiceover of ppt slides. The problem is I want to mix in some recorded videos of me or someone else talking about various topics.  Just to be clear, some slides will be simple powerpoint slides but others would include imported videos (recorded in Presenter or Zoom)  of me or someone else talking about a topic or demonstrating how to do something. I cannot figure out a way to enhance the audio for the videos in the same way I am able to adjust just an audio track. I tried using Zoom recording to see if it would be different, and there is a supplied audio track, but the video has the audio already combined so even though I can enhance

My goal is to publish training videos on a Ning site that I am designing as an extranet for freelancers working with me. I understand that I need to convert the SWF files to mov, .mpg, .avi, .3gp or .wmv for me to be able to upload to that site . I have been trying all the different trial versions of SWF conversion software programs including Sothink. When one publishes from CP there are a lot of SWF files created and I could not figure out how to convert them all into a single AVI video. I read about unchecking the borders in the skin section under projects and that would create a single SWF and I thought that might work for me, and for whatever reason it does not work I have just as many file as before. I thought I could work around that problem by using the main (largest file size) SWF in the folder and not the ones that say "fullmotion" because the entire video with sound plays without a problem on my computer, but when I drag the same file into one of the SWF to AVI converters I h

I placed a smart caption on the Master Slide. However, it can be clicked, ignoring the time frame for the slide. Is there a way to stop advanced automation, use the smart caption but still hold the participant to stay on that slide until it has played completely? I also have another question about the assessment slide as well but I will post another comment if I can't answer that question.Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, Presenter is well installed, I can see the tab and everything seems to work fine. But each time I click on the Publish button, a dialog box asks to update Flash Player before using this option. Of course, I tried to update Flash player on every browser on my PC but still get this message. I tried to install an old Office 2013 version and it worked but once I install Office 365 on top of it, it gets rid of Office 2013 and I Presenter does not work again. Is Presenter 11.1 ok with Office 365 ?Thanks for your help.

Hey guys, Thanks for reading!Does anyone know if it is possible to do multiple tests with multiple results in captivate 6? or if it is possible to have a pre-test with a quiz, and have separate results for each?I've been having a play with captivate 6 and when I put a quiz in, it overrides the results slide for my pre-test.Looking at the results slide master properties I can choose to have results for one of my quizzes but not both (even on separate slides):It wont even let me insert another slide based on the other result. I would like to know if multiple quizzes with multiple results is possible in Captivate 6?, or if I am simply doing something wrong?Thanks!

My department creates lectures using Presenter 7 or 8 and add mp3 files so that it plays the lectures and audio simultaneously. For the past several months, students who use macs have been reporting problems playing audio. When they open the lecture, the "No Audio" message appears in the navigation bar. We've come to find out that this occurs mainly for 3 reasons:Students need to update to the latest version of Flash Player especially if they have the Lion OS.Students need to switch from a firewall restricted wireless connection to a wired connection.Students are experiencing this problem on a Mac while using a USB headset.We have not been able to find a solution to the 3rd problem and I haven't seen anyone post it in the forum. We don't believe this problem is related to Flash since students are able to play other Flash related files with audio without any problems. Has anyone ever experienced this problem and know if it's related to Presenter and if there's a fix for it? We require s

I'm looking to possibly move to Windows 7 to do some 'testing'  - any one done this yet?  Any issues with Captivate 4 that you have run across?

When I launch a course from our LMS (Infor) in Chrome, I get a gray page and the error of  www.adobe.com refused to connect. I do not get this error when launching in IE. Can anyone explain what this error is telling me? What is going wrong in Chrome? What are the steps to fix it? I can't have the solution always be "just do it in IE". The course has been published in HTML, it passes the HTML tracker. So why won't it open in Chrome? Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

I am using Windows XP and Office 2010. When attempting to install Adobe Presenter, I get:Adobe Presenter 7Error:Error 1603. Error - Unable to detect Microsoft PowerPoint. You must have PowerPoint installed on this machine prior to running this installation program.Office 2010 is installed. Any thoughts on how I can get Adobe to recognize it?Many thanks!AC

(Captivate 7)I want a slide to contain a looping slide show of photographs.  I don't want to do this as an animated .GIF because the resolution isn't good enough, and I don't want to do it as a .SWF because I want it to work on Mobile.  My only choice seems to be to create a .MP4 and insert that, but then I'm not given the "loop" option.

I am using Captivate 5 on a Windows Vista machine. I upgraded from Captivate 4 a week ago and successfully published one project in Captivate 5 before this one. I have compiled the current project a dozen times without a problem. But, when I added the project information and then tried to publish the project, I got the following error: "Swf compilation failed. Note: Please verify if any of the actionscript keywords is used as user variable name." [sic] I am not using variables in this project, so this error does not make any sense to me.I am able to preview each slide individually. However, I get the above error message when I attempt to preview the whole project. I tried copying the slides, audio, and captions to a new blank project and got the same error when I attempted to publish it. I also attempted to remove all the project information and publish to project with no success. Any ideas why this may be happening and what I can do about it -- short of starting the project over from
