Hi,I am creating a SCROM file in which the student is required to watch 4 very short videos.I've have the video skin set to NOT show any playback bar. (None)I have the whole project set to not show the playback bar (which allows you to skip slides which I don't want!).I preview it in HTML and it works fine.Once I upload it to my LMS, the bars show up! I've tried using SCORM 1.2 and xAPI versions. It happens with both.Am I missing someting? Or should I contact my LMS provider and see if there is a problem on their end?

When I select New VR project, the thumbnail in the Filmstrip is blank, and the large slide in the work area is blank with NO default button to import a VR asset. I can add hotspots to the blank slide, but although they appear in the timeline, they don't appear on the slide itself.When I open the provided project "2019 Release - Virtual Reality.cptx", I can see the images in the filmstrip, but the large slide always appears white. Any hotspots or text I add do NOT appear on the slide, although they do appear in the timeline.I had this same problem with the trial version of Captivate 2019, and with the purchased version which I just activated today.Is this a problem with my computer? It's an HP running Windows 10 with 16G of RAM.Any suggestions would be appreciated!

latest vers, 64 bit I have a quiz where i use the lil eye to hide a (shape used as a) button. they click in the wrong place enough times the button will show itself via advanced action scrpit. This works exactly how I want it UNTIL the student reveiws the quiz. The buttons are all showing and I cant figure how to make them hidden upon reveiw. I know it must be possible because we did a slightly jankier version of this with clickboxes and highlight boxes, and they are all hidden upon reveiw. No Java or anything is used to re hide the boxes in the old version either. the button set up is: click box over shapde used as button [shape1]. shape1 hidden via eye. clickbox has 2 attmpts. on last attmpt: adv action: show [shape1]. click shape1 and go to next slide. rinse and repeat on each slide. only the clickbox shows in quiz grading. janky vers: clickbox1, highlight box, clickbox2. clickbox1 has 2 attmpts. upon fail exacute script: show highlight box, show clickbox2. clickbox 2

I hope they put an orphaned Advanced Action manager into Project Charm. It is easy to find and remove images and variables but not advanced actions.

HiI have added a multi slide video (I guess thats the old slide video?)And I added a button that will pause the slide and slide video. When I the click on the button with a simple continue script on it, the video starts from the beginning. In the playhead I can see that the video continues from where it was paused. But the content of the video starts from the beginning. Why is that?BrRobert

Windows 11 running Captivate 2019 11.8.0.586. I was having issues uploading my project to SCORM cloud because it couldn't locate the imsmanifest file. Well that's because when I published the project to my computer, Captivate deleted the first letter of every file in the zipped folder. This leads to msmanifest existing instead. I tried publishing the project again and got the same result. What are possible solutions here?

1) In slide 01, there is a slide audio and on the same slide 01 there are also 8 clickable buttons and all the 8 buttons have there individual audio's.2) While the slide audio is playing, if I click any 1 button out of the 8 buttons the audio from the button 1 will play and should stop the slide01 audio. 3) So in that 8 buttons when I click each button and when all the audio's from the 8 buttons are done listening/completed then next button should appear. After all 8 button audio's are done the next button should appear. How to write a advanced action for this kind of scenario?

How to create a custom multiple with (single answers & multiple answers) by using multiple tries(eg 3 tries) to display the answers. Don't want to use captivates default multiple choice. How to write a advanced action for this type of scenario?

Hi, in a results slide, I set a button with an advanced action that resets the quiz and jumps to certain slide (I used a javascript line suggested by Paul Wilson). The problem is that when testing in ScormCloud, in a second and subsequent attempts, the result slide  shows "zero", even when I did all the quiz correctly (it should show the score of 20 and the aprroved statrus). Any suggestion?

teaching students today in a digital learning management course to use question types and editing them... got the Question: HOW CAN I ADJUST THE ANSWER AREA SIZE, SO I CAN PLACE SOME LINES OF TEXT AND CHANGE THE LINE SPACE SIZE unfortenatly i couldn't reduce line space from 2.2 to anything below and couldn't place text with more than 3 lines... thx

Dear All, I am new to Captivate from yesterday. I am trying to use the horizontal accordion from assets library. There seems to be a bug when I select other tabs. the tab text changes to default text "Place first tab title here".  Please see example above. Hello i got some problems with translations and i think its because of the file ending / formation? I've tried to export the Project Captions and Closed Captions (which creates an "old" .doc file) I open the .doc with regular MS-Word and save it again as an .docx after that i drop the file into Deepl and let it translate the document in my desired language after that i open the docx in Word again and save it "back" to .doc After importing the file again into Captivate it says (0 imported) and no changes where made.Is this due because i'm formating the file in word from .doc to .docx or is there something else i'm not doing correct? Thanks for your help 

First, client demands force me to use an alias to my targeted URL.  If I want the button to load "https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/", I have to create a .htm file that contains this: <HTML><HEAD><TITLE></TITLE><meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL='https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/'" /></HEAD><BODY></BODY></HTML> and then point my Captivate button to that .htm file to load the site.  It opens fine in a new tab.Can I do this with javascript, but open the URL in a new browser window - not just another tab?  The tab has an effect on the main Captivate timeline when I close the tab.Thanks!!! 

In a project, there is a total of 11 quizzes, in that project I only want to show selected quiz results on the result slide.For eg:1) The first 3quiz result should not add with the other quiz if the answer is even right. Its result should not display on the result slide.2) When the user attempts the all 11 quizzes and when the user goes to the result slide to check and clicks the REVIEW QUIZ on the slide. It should directly take him to the 4th quiz and the from the 4th quiz to the 11th quiz it shud record the status of the right answer. It should not count the first 3 quiz results even if its right.Is there any advanced action for this type of scenario.

Hi.  I'm in search of best practices for Opening a URL, or multiple URLs from different buttons on the same Captivate screen. My problem arises when the user then closes the tab(s) for each of the URLs opened. It seems that closing the tabs advances the Captivate timeline. First, and likely irrelevant, is that the client requirements are that I use an alias to my targeted URL.  If I want the button to load "https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/", I have to create a .htm file that looks like this:<HTML><HEAD><TITLE></TITLE><meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL='https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/'" /></HEAD><BODY></BODY></HTML> This is so they can change a URL by editing the external .htm file with a text editor and as such I cannot hard code the URLs into the course buttons. I have this working fine so it's not part of the issue (I don't think so, anyway). Of course my buttons must target "new" from the URL dropdow

I am using captivate 2019.  I have a 4 question quiz at the end of the presentation.  Each question is worth 10 points and you have to pass with 30 points or 75%.  When I preview that presentation and take the quiz answering all the questions correctly.  I still get a quiz failure on the results page.  The Retake button does not appear when I "pass" the quiz but if I don't get a passing score the Retake button does appear.  Under quiz preference I have tried using 75% as well and 30 points for a passing score.  I have looked under Advanced interactions to see if maybe there was another slide adding to the scoring but only the quiz questions are scored.I think it has something to do with the test results slide itself but I can't figure out what.

Hi, I'd like to try the free trial of Captivate as I am looking at getting into Instructional Design. However it requires the name of an organisation even though I'm downloading as an individual. What should I do?

I used the video demo option to capture 6 screen recordings (13 total slides in the project). The longest video slide is around 52 seconds. The rest, much shorter. I published using the Video option. All video slides display a spinning wheel in the mp4 output file. I've done this numerous times with Captivate 8 without issue. The project itself and all output files are on my local drive. Any help is appreciated.

Greetings, I wanted to find out  how to submit a bug request for the Slide Bullets tab option within the Bullet widget properties? There is no way to customize either the tab title itself nor the subcomponents underneath. And Adobe seemed to have forgotten about this feature themselves (as their is no documentation).  Also, has anyone else out there used this specific [Bulletin] feature before and if so, any insight/feedback?

Cannot create a ppt or responsive project , i get the following error when selecting start a new responsive project. and If i select PPT , it lets me upload and then the pop up screen goes blank

Hi folks,I´ve encountered a very strange behaviour in my drag&drop interactions ... which occured today for the very first time ever! I have four D&Ds in total, the some of them working perfectly and others proceed to the next slide after dragging one or two or three or four objects! I couldn´t fond out why or when, because the number of dragged objects after which the slide jumps to the next slide varies from time to time. All D&Ds are build the same way, contain a invisible button to stop all (a "feature" that´s quite disturbing, why can´t D&Ds pause like all other quiz pages and wait for a click and feedback??)I´ve checked all Advanced Actiosn for a "continue", but none´s there, nowhere. So why does the D&D jump after dragging one or two or three or four objects?? Even if I create a new project and a new D&D interaction the same strange effect appears. Thanks for any ideas for help ...

We typically build training content in one Captivate file, and the quiz as a separate. For some upcoming training, we want the content and quiz in one file. However, the program is currently set up to not bookmark...so the person would have to start over if they fail the quiz and close before retaking. Is there a way to set it up so....a person fails the quiz and closes without retaking. When they relaunch, they get the option to review the content again or go directly to the quiz? I don't want this option the first time as we want them to complete the content before the quiz. Hopefully, this makes sense. 🙂

I've not done advanced actions in a while so this will probably seem like a simple problem.I have two acknowledgement checkboxes at the end of a lesson.  Both of these checkboxes must be selected then the Lesson Completion button will appear for them to select to get credit for the training.  I've got the check box states created but now how to I make the student select both checkboxes before getting credit.Thanks,Susan
