My character stopped working somewhere along my editing. Once I was finished with the walking i started working on a headturn then when I went back to record the walking behavior didnt work anymore. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9m3zvk87rhz2mis/AAAK72E1P7GRljJI67HIl4Ssa?dl=0
OK, so I have been trying to use character animator. I am using a puppet from the puppet maker. It does not matter what puppet I use from the maker they all keep their default backgrounds. I have generated them with transparent and bam I get this background that I didn't ask for and I cannot get rid of. I cannot even if I export in a different background because it will not go transparent. I pay every month for this junk are you serious!!!
After the blink cycle finishes, some of the layers that are hidden during the blink do not appear again. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Hi! It's me again. Just to explain my issue, I am very new to adobe CH and am trying to animate a character that's not human. He is round and has arms only. I have two problems right now. Firstly, when the face moves, the facial expressions do not follow.Secondly, the arms do not follow the face as well. So the face moves alone. Please help.
Hi All, My puppet's eyes are constantly open and will not close. Also his finger is always pointing and will not revert back to normal. All the other trigger's are working perefectly fine. I didn't change or rig any of the trigger's left them as they were, as the puppet I'm using is from an exisitng character animator puppet. Just that I opened up my scene and this happened. It would be great if someone could please assist. Thank you, Jon

I have been following this tutorial to make the character's head more independent from the body by using two "face" behaviors: one to control body movement and the other to control the haed movement. But I can't make the back hair follow the head's position and inclination. Does someone knows what I can do here?
Hi! I am having trouble rigging and making a character with just a head and arms. I followed many tutorials to try and rig but right now my head moves alone. I tried to follow the character footy but I am still a little lost. This is my character, I call him MAPS I also added a hidden torso but nothing is connecting together and the head keeps moving off. This is how I have rigged them Please help! :")
I rigged my arms into two sections, above the elbow, and below the elbow. However, when I rewatched the tutorial I learned that the standard method is to have the arm be one image, and have that image bend from within character animator. Is there away, either in the current version or the next big update, to have two-part arms that are dragable from the hands? (I just don't like the lack of control I have over how the elbow looks in the current method.)
We have created a series of characters in illustrator on a 1920 x 1080 artboard. When we bring them in to ACA the resolution says 100% but when I render the character and bring the video file into Premiere the video is about 50% and scaling it in Premiere results in poor resolution.I have the Puppet setting set to 400% (High) resolution. My solution to this problem is to scale the character to 200%. This works BUT, if I want to scale it to a 4k video format I can't work on the image in ACA at 400% scale. Is there a workaround that will allow me to output the vector images at a larger size. (I have tried the 'render as vector' and aside from having to redo the artwork to get rid of double pupils it doesn't seem to make a difference in resolution. Can you tell me the optimum workflow for compositing in a 4k premiere timeline?
Hello, I recently started studying adobe character animator, I enjoy it, thank you for this product. I create games, I use pixel graphics for this. Now I use the After Effect to create character animations, then I use a render that turns a beautiful character into a pixel one (using the settings in the render), I want to switch from the After Effect to adobe character animator, but I need it to render PNG into squeaky graphics without blurring the image.
I'm looking to have too puppets act in unison, like twins. Is it as simple as copying and pasting the timeline from one puppet to the other? Or do I need to do something different?
Check out my new video on the Starter Mode that comes with the most recent beta. I am also including a free puppet to get you started.
Been trying to open a PSD but I get this error. I tried to "open as" other document, but I got nothing, adn then tried the DNG coverter, but same error. Any fixes?
Everything is not moving accordingly I need help from someone to fix it.
Hi, I'm trying to record confetti as particles, it shows up fine while recording, but then it isn't saved. I've tried having it as "snow" but then I couldn't transform the origin point or size. "Point and Shoot" shows nothing. "Track Mouse" works fine in my scene but simply doesn't record. I tried with and without a trigger set to it to see if that would make a difference, but nothing seems to help. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated!
Hi, how do I make a character dig a hole, and are there any characters best suited to this ac
Hi there guys, i am relitvely new to the software and wondered if there was a quick and easy way that i am able to copy other actions/triggers from other characters built into character animator (made by adobe) and paste them into my own puppet? rather than to try and make my own! any help would be really appreciated! thanks
I have downloaded different puppets designed in Illustrator, and I have noticed some differences with how the layers are used with the files.1. Does the arrangement/order of layers in the Layers Panel matter, or is it just an issue of making sure that they are named properly? 2. I have noticed some files include a "Head" Layer ,while other files have a "Face" Layer. What are the naming requirements for Layers that should be included in a file to create basic functionality? Are the following correct:+Character+Right Eyebrow+Left EyebrowHead Hair (guessing this is optional?) Nose (guessing this is optional?) Mouth All the different mouth Sub Layers, though I am assuming you can design and use just the ones you like? 3. Does it make a difference if I have a Layer and many objects on that layer, and possibly artwork on sublayers and I choose to group it or not? Does this have any effect on how CA operates? Thanks!&
hello, i'm looking for tips on how to enable an audience member to trigger a puppet during a livestream. for example, if i were on twitch or instagram live and a viewer typed "hello" in the chat i would like my puppet to wave or say hello back automatically without any input from me. i understand this may require some light coding outside of character animator, but any and all ideas are welcome. thanks!-- e
Hi, I have a PSD puppet that I am trying to figure out how to convert to a vector based puppet so I can utilize the "Wiggle" behavior and I am struggling. Does anybody know the steps you need to convert the psd to a vector .AI puppet?
Hi,Thank you for this wonderful software that helps animate your ideas in no time.If I may, I wanted to ask a question: I have many pre-made assets, animated, in a gif format. I want to import them into my scenes but I cannot find an easy way to do that. My initial thought was to import them as a sequence of .png images.Any ideas?Regards,Phil Kapsalas
