Hi guys. Maybe someone could help me with a weird problem.I rigged the puppet for the client in CC 2018 and it works just fine. I sent it to him, he opened it in CC 2019 and found this problem with hair.I work on Win 7 so I can't update my version to 2019 and can't check how the puppet works there.Maybe you faced such problems and know how to solve it?The puppet itself is here Ella2.puppet - Google Drive
I'm trying to follow the excellent Walking (Adobe Character Animator Tutorial). But when I drag my origins (5:50), I get a dashed line running from the original origin to wherever I drag it (see image). This seems to be causing me a lot of distortion when I walk. Dave isn't showing these origin lines. What am I doing wrong? Thanks,Martin
It would be great to have a conditional state that if the hand and the ball are magnetically connected that the hand cycles to a specific hand state. Then when they are not connected, the hand reverts back to the base state.-Dax
Hi guys.So I have my puppet rigged.I have arms rigged normally, and then I have also a copy triggered by a key from t pose to rest on hip, they work ok.Then I created a cycle layer so that the right arm grabs an object, it works ok too.But when the cycle finishes the original arm still shows up and doesn't go off, and after creating the cycle layer, even the previous one ( arms on hips ) the original arm still visible. Here some screen shot. ( basically the original arm has now 2 triggers sets ) might be that ?
Hey guys. It seem all the elements are taged correctly but still no reaction for my blinking and raising eyebrows. Can somebody tell me what the problem could be here? There's a puppet by link.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CrBJnKnEM674BHzZh23uLgnvSZRngYig/view?usp=sharingI will so much appreciate for any help!
I was editing a pre-made character with three head angles. The mouth movements just recently stopped working on all three of them. They had been working fine.Is there anything in this screen shot that would tell me what I've done wrong? Thanks!
how to do to make your character more or less closer when you are more or less closer behind the webcam? im so sorry if ther is an explication, but i really don't find...
Any chance a front ( simulated ) walk cycle can be done in Character Animator ?Basically just stumping leg and feet up and down, so that it seems that is walking facing front camera
Hi guys.I made a few characters and they can walk from left to right with the arrowkeys.but how can i make him walk the other way?greetings, cris
Loaded up the new version of Ch, it's AMAZING first off, but I'm running into an issue where my puppets eyes are inverted. Dave, via email, suggested I look at the scale values of my eye groups to see if they are negative, and they are not.Is there anything else I can look at? Any tips or ideas? The other issue i'm running into is that the eyes aren't necessarily working as they did before, but it might be related to whatever is limiting the inverted issue. So I'll ask about that later. Thanks guys,J
I’m experiencing an issue when opening older .puppet files (Version 1.5, Build 138 [Ch Anim 2018]), which contain rigged walk cycles, in Version 2.0, Build 257 [Ch Anim 2019]. The walk cycle is recognized in Version 1.5, but not in Version 2.0. Is anyone else having this issue as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi there.I have a character with the standard mouth expression, which are tagged. And I have beard too, I created the related shapes for the beard, but can't make them follow the mouth. How do I do that ?I'm a newbie.thank you.
Probably a dumb question but I have warping in my characters head. I set the pivot to the base of the chin area so it rotates the way I want. However, when I tilt my head or move up and down it warps the chin. Is there a way to keep the the head the same exact shape at all times but still have the neck and torso follow it?
I just installed Character Animator CC2018 on my Windows 10 operating system. Every file that I try to open from the beta Character Animator crashes immediately upon opening. So I tried to rebuild that file from scratch using my .AI character and it also crashes CH2018 immediately. I hope that this gets resolved very soon, my client is waiting for their animation . eeek.
Freshly installed Adobe CC with an existing serialized All Apps license last week. All other apps show as fully licensed in CC, but Character Animator only gives me a "Try" option.
characteranimator I think I’ve got the correct setup, warp independently checked, correct group setup and naming. However my character’s eyeballs wont move with my eye movement. When I first started the eyeballs sometimes go off the eyes. I went through question board online and thought it might be caused as I drew the eyes differently. By flipping one eye to create the other, this issue is solved. Can someone please help me with making the eyeballs move? Thanks!!nov5head.puppet - Google Drive
I am currently struggling to move my layers around in character animator as they seem to be fixed. I have a feeling it has something to do with the layers, Left Arm and Right Arm, are marked with a yellow vertical line next to the Warp Independently boxes. I was wondering if there is a way to change this and be able to move both Left Arm and Right Arm into the body layer. Thanks
When I choose to "Edit Original" a .puppet file in CH, the file that opens in PS as a single layer and not multiple editable layers. The .puppet file was purchased from graphicsmama.com and works great in CH but I would like to edit the hands to add more trigger animations and more variety for expressions.
I built my walking character from the ground up but she only walks in one spot, the walk behaviours all work fine but my character legs don't seems connected to the body, plus the arrow keys do nothing.
Controlling draggables with a mouse is a pain to get smooth flows. How about using the camera to track registration marks (in addition to the face tracking). Could be color circles (e.g. colored stress balls I hold in my hands) with a color per draggable that it tracks, or colored disks I pin to my clothes etc. I think the movements would come out a lot more natural. Then add an adjustable count down pre-recording counter, so I can set the counter to 5 seconds, stand back from the computer, get into pose for a full body shot (checking the screen that I am in position), then the recording starts. Much easier to get graceful ballerina movements etc.Or add support for VR tracking handsets... https://medium.com/indie-game-devlogs/recording-character-animations-with-the-vive-trackers-fb39aef06e2a Yeah, not an easy one, but I think it would be much easier than trying to get natural movements with a mouse. I could imagine putting a registration mark per joint and getting much smoother ar
Greetings, I have a Frontal View Puppet that I would like to Sit/ Jump/ Walk bent-over. If I provide Key frame poses every now and then, is it possible to get Character Animator to "Tween" between them, the way Flash used to do? If so, could you please point me to relevant examples/ documentation... Thanks in advance for your help.Regards,Rajnesh
Hi There,I'm having trouble with the cycle behaviour. I'm look at the videos but not sure where i'm going wrong.I've attached a screen shot called hair which show the puppet in rig mode to see how i've set up the layer and the behaviour.I've created the layers from 1 to 67 and i want it to just do layers 1 to 67... but for some reason it kind of missed a few and repeats itself. How do i fix this? Also if i wanted to slow down each frame so that hair appear slowly how would i do this?
Hi,How would you make the character Martin from okaysamurai website walk? I am a newbie and I really like this character. Can I also use it for my youtube video? Thanks
I've created this simple background character using a template from a more complex character, so the set up is almost identical, but when I move this characters head by clicking on it, the mouth doesn't want to move as if it's pinned and it warps the head. I've tried deleting every layer of the mouth, but it still warps. The only that has worked is deleting the mouth layer itself. My almost identical character doesn't have this issue and I have spent hours trying to figure it out. I've searched the forums for answers, but couldn't find anything. Thank you to whoever checks this out. Here is the adobe ai file: Dropbox - Character- Eric.ai
So far, I have only used the Chloe basic character to make puppets. Then I swap out the paths in Illustrator to make my own character. But now I want to make a character with three head angles, but I still want to do the art in Illustrator. All the pre-made characters I see with multiple head angles seem to originate in Photoshop.Do I have to combine the head of a pre-made character with the body of Chloe? If so, how do I edit the original file, since it has two original files?(Alternately, if someone can recommend a pre-made character that has three head angles, that originated in Illustrator, I'm all ears!)
