helloim using illustrator for simple artwork editing (industry packages) and we are using only solid coated pantones.now I need to buy a screen and i wanted to know which screen will show me the color on the most accurate way.i saw that dell have a screen with 100 % rgb and 1 milliard color...they also have a cheaper screen with 99 rgb and 16 million colorצג UltraSharp בגודל 25 אינץ' מדגם UP2516D של Dell עם PremierColor | Dell ישראל for my needs, should i take the better one or it wont make a diffrence?thank you
I am a photographer, but honestly - color management isn't my strong suit. I don't print my stuff (yet) and I create mainly for the web, and therefore export everything in sRGB.Tech info: Win7 (64-bit), GeForce 760 GTX, EIZO CS 2730 monitor.I calibrated the monitor with the software that came with it (Color Navigator 6), and the hardware calibrator was i1 Display Pro. I tried calibrating and profiling with X-Rite's i1 Profiler and DisplayCal, but both gave inferior results (to my eye), and the EIZO support guys also said to ditch those and use CN6 instead. So that's what I did.My current workflow:I usually edit raw files and open them as ProPhoto RGB 16bits TIFF files, either via Lightroom or Camera Raw in Photoshop.I do this because I've learned that it's best to start with the widest possible color space before applying any edits, and then when you're done with your edits in that wide color space, compress everything to the output color space, which in my case is sRGB.Just to check,
I have been trying a lot to solve this problem. Every software showing the same desaturated image while importing. This is the Actual Image This is the image I am getting while importing to the mentioned software But when I export it from the software, I got the perfect picture. Inside the software its desaturated. I have tried everything including converting the color profile and all. Could anyone help me out with this problem?
Hello,My colors in all adobe programs display way too dark. However it exports the proper color. It worked properly before but after an update it changed. Its driving me up the wall and I can't figure it out, I would love some help. Here is an example of what I mean. (Happens with all documents it even affects white)(Top left face is vector, bottom left is png, right is right color png.)Here are my current color profile settings.I'm really not sure what has gone wrong. I've tried reinstalling but that doesn't seem to work.
Hi folks, maybe somone with more knowledge when it comes to color management is able to help me out. I'd appreciate it a lot as I have been struggling to find correct answers on the web lately. Without much effort to be honest 😕😕 If someone could lead me to the right direction, I'd clearly make some kind of tutorial to help people out who havebeen struggling as well. Now here's my problem:I am trying to get consistent colors (and color values) in my Adobe CC programs after having calibrated my Eizo CS240 (Wide-Gamut-Monitor) with a colorimeter fromEizo (Eizo/Spyder EX2). Something seems to be clearly wrong and I am trying hard to get consistent results.First of all, I want to point out that when using sRGB as my default monitor profile in Windows 10, colors and color values seem to show right. I'll show you some screenshots first so you hopefully understand what I mean (I have my OS set to German language so I hope you still understand what I mean):1. "Farbprofil" == dis
So I have received pictures to use in cards that are handed out for guests of a party. These pictures have Source Space Adobe RGB. Now, as I view them in Photoshop, some colours appear different then what I know them to be. Standard the Working Space is set ro sRGB. Now, I can Preserve Embedded Profiles in Color Management Policies, or even put the Working Space to Adobe RGB, but the colour (I'm going to make it specific, orange pants look like red pants) is still off. In Assign Profile I can also put Adobe RGB and select it, but at this point it's the same as Working Space. Now I was already convinced the images are simply this way, the pictures have red pants, be it from the photographer's settings or his alterations on the file afterward. But then I select 'Convert to Profile' and it says Source Space Adobe RGB and I also choose Destination Space: Adobe RGB and then with Preview selected... lo and behold, orange pants. I actually have my orange pants in view in Photoshop. But here's t
Hi Everyone!I'm trying to create my first Graphic Design portfolio since I'll be applying for an Internship soon. But I have a question, which color profile works best for printing artworks in high quality?Because last time when I tried to print them, they came out really dark and wondered of what I did wrong. Some came out decently, and some didn't.The types of projects I'm trying to print are mainly illustrations, and I'm using an A4 paper to print them out. Here are some examples if you wanna see: Behance Thanks!
Hello,I have a color management question. I mostly edit my photographs for web. (instagram/website) The problem I am having is that when I edit my images I get very specific with my color. I then will save the images using the Export > Save for Web (legacy) feature. Once I've uploaded the jpeg file to instagram I'm noticing massive color shifts. I just uploaded a portrait I spent hours on. In photoshop on both my calibrated Eizo and macbook pro screen the image was relatively neutral. Now that it is uploaded to Instagram I am noticing a subtle blue shift in the overall image. I can of course delete it and reupload with the correct adjustments, but I am getting really frustrated by working this way. I don't want to correct an image to my liking on both of these screens only to find out that it doesn't really look all that great on my phone screen. Does anyone have any EDIT > Color Settings suggestions? Thank you!
i'm stumpedmacOS El Capitan 10.11.6how does one drag a monitor profile into System> Library> ColorSync> Profiles so i can use it in Photoshop CS6or what am i missing
Hello together,in my composition of After effects, there are different colors for the same kind of color "00A6BF".The first object is made in after effects, the second is made in Illustrator. Both have the same color key but they look different. Is that a issue?https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BDeU0yCuv-Yk0GZ4Z-U9lrffHGro_mCg Thank you for your help.Kind regardsDennis
i can tell you Mac OS X macOS 10.6.8 just profiled my viewsonic VX2370 IPS LED screen using Eye-One Match 3 3.6.3and it looks good in Finder and Photoshop CS6the final Luminance reported at 69.1 cd/m2 (but the screen appears to about actual 120 cd/m2)it also has the neutrality and color saturation i recognize from 'calibrated' monitors all the way back to CRT and Apple Cinema Displays
With most higher end displays being wide gamut, if you work in almost any 3D apps, the output from the framebuffers are generally not color managed. Thus, color decisions you make are being done in the native gamut of the display, even if it's calibrated and profiled. I've only ever come up with a few options to deal with this:1) Make larger color decisions in the non color managed environment and once you import into PS, you have to do some conversions and assignments of profiles to get it to match, but it's not an ideal solution.2) If you have higher end displays, force your display into an sRGB or aRGB color space and then calibrate and profile. That way the framebuffer more closely matches a standard device independent color space and you can still use color management.3) Don't buy high gamut displays.Which brings me to my question. Aside from has anyone else figured out a better workflow, some people I know are calibrating their displays, but abandoning the use of the generated di
Hi,My apologies as this topic must have been discussed at length. I printed a book through Saal Digital and realized that colors, contrast, and brightness are pretty different from what I saw on my monitor (macbook). Nothing surprising. Now, I'd like to calibrate my screen to match the printed book. Is the idea to use a device for calibration (spyder or something equivalent) and then use the color profile provided by Saal? Is there any other way to manually calibrate to match the book? I tried using the built-in calibration assistant on Mac OS and got somewhat close to the book although some colors are still pretty off. Any advice?Best
Hi guys, I have a question, that is: I am drawing and colouring shoes and the problem is that the laces are only small and many areas so it would be perfect if I could bundle all the areas and colour them at once. Do you know if this is possible? Thank you a lot!
I just had a computer refresh and I want to have the gracol 2013 profiles appear in the drop down menu in photoshop "convert to profile" for the life of me where do these color settiings live on my mac.? thanks in advance see screen shots
HOW I CAN CONVERT RGB FILE INTO CMYK WITHOUT CHANGING COLOR?
Hi thereI'm a graphic designer for a very small company and I'm the only one - so have had to learn everything as I go find out stuff for myself rather than learn from someone else higher up as it were. I'm qualified and three years into the job, but what's blowing my mind lately is colour management. I've done three colour management courses on Lynda and read a whole book so the theory is going in, but I find in practise, it's a bit bewildering knowing what to do! So my issue is - I would like to ensure I've got a brand identity and a set of brand assets (namely logos) for our company and get rid of the cr*p, but colour at the moment is driving me a bit nuts. I've inherited some logos as a starting point, and over the years I've exported the files or used them within different programmes like ID and AI, but as I've learned more and more, I'm realising there's a big discrepancy with how the colours display. I understand a lot more now about different colour profiles, gamuts, CMYK and R
Hello, I hope this is the right place to ask these questions.I am commissioning the development of an app that will generate color schemes according to classical rules of harmony.I would like the user to be able to specify the output medium using ICC profiles, so that the app knows the gamut of colors to select from. Q1: Are there color management or color engine solutions out there that can be used for this purpose? I don't want my app developer to reinvent the wheel for this part of the project if instead he/she could purchase/download a solution that someone has already developed and tried out. When the color scheme is complete, I'd like the user to be able to output it as a swatch file. Q2: Are there swatch file creation solutions out there that can be used for this purpose? Again, I don't want my app developer to reinvent the wheel for this part of the project if instead he/she could purchase/download a solution that someone has already developed and tried out. Obviously, .AS
When I look at my display profiles (system preferences/display) then click on the colour tab there are now two Adobe RGB 1998 and two sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profiles listed and am pretty sure there weren't two there before I installed CC a couple of days ago so everything is the latest versions/up to date.If I look in library at the colour sync folder in the 'recommended folder' I only see one Adobe RGB 1998 profile - no sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile.Anyone know why it's like this? Am using iMac 4K Retina (Late 2017) running macOS Mojave 10.14.3Thanks.
Hi,Im currently writing a script for Photoshop in Extendscript. Now Im trying to figure out, how to compare colors to each other. I've mostly tried to stick to wikipedias article about comparing colors and using a weighed eucledian algorithm i get a distance which indicates their difference. Comparing 2 colors is no problem with that. But in my script I have 3 Inputs (Most common color, second most common color, and the third most common color). Now if I want to compare this to their aquivalent part, lets stay I have a Main_tile with their 3 Inputs and a Tile_file with 3 Inputs, I can compare (Common to common, second common to second common..), which seems to work fine.My question is what happens if my Tile_file has only 1 Input, how do I compare it to the Main_tile?Example:MostCommonColorA compared to MostCommonColorB gives me a differen
Hello everyone!I am working as an icon designer and I have started experiencing color changes from a window to another. Here are some screenshots I took. At first, I thought it was PS acting up, but it still happens outside of Adobe softwares so I'm kind of confused. It's only happening on my computer (tested it on several monitors) but it isn't a monitor issue for sure as fiddling with settings hasn't improved anything (and it happens on both my monitors). This screenshot was directly taken on the PS canvas. The colors are off. This screenshot was taken from the 'Save for Web' popup screen. This is the color it's supposed to be. At first I thought it was a color profile issue, but after checking all my settings, it isn't the case. The weird thing is that this phenomenon keeps happening OUTSIDE of PS, on the web. This screenshot is from out icon bank page. This is the icon's thumbnail. Once again, the colors are dulled. This is from the popup that shows up when you click an icon to have a b
Okay so the problem I've been having recently is if I bring a photo into illustrator, it completely washes out and it wasn't doing this a month ago. Light blues become lavender and navies become purple- Is this a setting I can change? I've already tried the changing the document color mode and it makes little to no difference.Any input would be greatly appreciated as I use this program for work and I have a project deadline of tommorrow.
https://imgrpost.com/nosauce/?list=images&sort=date_asc&page=1I'm new to Monitor Calibration and was wondering if I did things correctly and my calibrated monitor is displaying colors as intended. I was really disappointed with my new laptop when I noticed that everything looked really washed out, especially when viewing text with a light background. I'm happy that the calibration fixed this issue.However...1) There seems to be more banding when there's gradation/transition of a color 2) Windows and the Web is more colorful but the colors are darker, 3) people's skin in videos look oversaturatedI'm not sure if this is because what's meant to be expressed is being expressed more clearly or if there's something wrong with the calibration. Please note that this is a laptop display (can only control brightness) which is definitely lower quality vs a decent external monitor.I took pictures of noticeable differences with my Pixel 1 phone camera:https://imgrpost.com/nosauce/?list=imag
