As a host I cannot disable individual participant audio in breakout rooms.  Or can I?  I can't see how to do this.This is necessary, as there is always one user who is using speakers and creating terrible feedback problems in the room.  The ability to disable audio on a per-user basis during breakouts would allow me to find the offending user and force them to use chat.Am I missing something?PH

Please can someone give me some advice asap?!I am not familiar with overally technical terms or phrases, so am looking for a very basic/simple explanation as to the differences between Illustrator and In Design from my Adobe Design Standard CS4 suite.I want to be able to create and/or change/manipulate documents in PDF format.Generally this would involve adding/removing/amending text or images. Some of the documents would be sent in for amending etc from a 3rd party and could be recieved in PDF format due to being scanned etc.I need to research training courses on the most appropriate prgramme - from what I understand Illustrator is more relevant when creating Logos or imagery, In Design or more focused on the creation and/or manipulation of documents designed for print/web etc.....Any advice would be really appreciated.

Hello,It seems that something has changed recently with the Adobe Connect Webservices API. In the past, when I would call 'principal-update' to create or update a user, I would sanitize all my strings using urlencode() in PHP, which takes any non-alphanumeric characters (or dashes and underscores) and "percent encodes" them. For example, a "@" character in an email address becomes "%40".This is important especially in the case that a string contains an ampersand (&) or question mark (?) since those characters are used to pass the parameters themselves in the URL string.This has always worked fine until I noticed a few days ago it was no longer working.If I attempt to create a user with an email address formatted with the "%40", Connect now comes back with an error message saying it wasn't formatted properly. I have just installed Adobe Connect, but when I try to open up the console (Configure Connect Enterprise Server). I get "IE cannot display the webpage". The page is http://localhost:8510/console.Its installed on a brand new Windows Server 2008 64bit & SQL 2008. The Windows firewall is off.Also, I am unable to start the Adobe Connect Service service. It is set to automatic, but wont start and gives the error - "Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs"Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

Hi All,I'm just trying out Adobe.  One issue I have, is that emails from Adobe Connect get dropped by our anti-spam system.  IT does this because Adobe Connect sends emails, proclaiming to be the owner of our Domain, which its not.  So therefore the anti-spam correctly drops the emails.My solutions are as follows:- Have Adobe connect behave properly, and not send emails on-behalf of my domain, which its not. Instead have it send emails from some robot-id@adobe.com address.- Whitelist the Adobe server     + This might help me in my LAN here, but I bet it won't help anyone who uses our SPF record...     + IPs change over time, and what range would I whitelist ?Anyone else come across this and have another solution ?

Since install flash 10.3 if my mic is on, any system noise beeps and alerts are passed though the audio channel as noise.  Is there someway to turn this off?

I have been trying to solve this for a week.  I had to download this latest version of Adobe Reader to print a ticket from the Greyhound site.  It would not open and now I can no longer any of my previouly downloaded PDF files.  Tech support will not help unless I pay or they don't know.  Chat support could not help.  I hope someone in the forum can help.  The full message is: AcroRd32.exe - unable to locate componet,  Application failed to start because MAP132 was not found.  Re-installing the application may fix this. It does not fix the problem,  I have tried the above several times.  I see others have had this problem.  Can it be solved?  Can others be warned about the problem with this Adobe Reader be they download?  I had a perfectly good reader before this upgrade.

I recently purchased an xml sitemap generator to use on a new site and was surprised to discover that there was a doubling up of urls. It appears that my CMS (Dreamweaver CS5) is outputting both an .html version and the non .html version of every url on my site.There is apparently something strange going on that relates to forwarding issues. Presumably there is an incorrect setting at work.Naturally my initial reaction was to blame the sitemap generator, but I can reproduce the same problem using other generators. One of our users is having this strange problem when viewing recorded session.  She can hear the audio, the time bar advances but the screen just freezes.  If she advances the time, the screen changes but it then freezes again.  This doesn't occur to live sessions, only recorded sessions.  Any ideas?

When using Safari I get authenticated by Blackboard Learn, but when I attempt to create or enter a meeting, I'm continuously returned to  the login screen to authenticate again.

Hi, I have been running a trial on Adobe Connect and have loaded a number of SCORM lessons created in Adobe Captivate to test. It all works well except when I tested e-mailing a lesson to a user the containing window doesn't open to the correct size when it is launched. It is smaller than the stage size and has to be manually resized by the viewer. This is very confusing for the viewer.Does anyone know if there is a setting in Connect that determines the size on launch?Steve

Hi, when I download a recording from the connect server as a flash file, the audio tends to get out of sync. We are a small company (5 total employees) that plan on doing 1-2 free webinars a week for 40-100 people (these are different every time, researchers who sign up for the webinar that would be advertised on our site and others.When we tried out Adobe Connect we loved the web conference interface and features... and the event management. We needed a way to have people register for a specific webinar with a login to get to the meeting, manage their registrations (unregister), send them reminders, updates, etc. Event management look great.We signed up and event management was gone, making the service not useful.The Adobe Connect site is extremely poorly set up. We saw no indication whatsoever that event management was NOT part of the hosted service once we signed up. In the sign up process there was no indication whatsoever that event management was a third party add-on we had to buy separately. I have been trying to set up break out rooms and was told the only way to do that is to have attendees present in the meeting and to make sure the pod was on the main stage and not in the presenter section..  When I tested that functionality, the break out room button did not appear on the attendee pod even though I had attendees in my meeting and the pod was on the main stage.  Any ideas as to why the break out room was missing or what I need to do to get that to work?

Is it possible to limit the number of Layout options available to hosts that do not have administrative rights?

Is their a way to erase more than one line (meaning pencil stroke) at a time when using the pencil option in Whiteboard? If I were to draw a plus sign (+), I have to erase each line (vertical and horizontal) seperately...unless someone can tell me how to erase the entire sign!!!
