Digital Editions

I recently downloaded a book for one of my college classes using Adobe Digital Editions. However, when I open it, I am unable to flip pages. To see the next or previous page, I have to exit back out to the library and then reopen the book. How do I fix this?

Buongiorno,qualche tempo fa ho acquistato un e-book su IBS ma non riesco a caricarlo sul mio e-reader Kobo (premetto che ho un adobe id, il computer è autorizzato e non ho mai avuto problemi neanche con altri libri di Ibs). Nelle informazioni elemento su Adobe digital editions risulta "copia: non consentita" mentre per gli altri e-book già acquistati è "copia: su qualunque dispositivo". Stesso problema con gli e-book in prestito della piattaforma M-LOL. Mi viene anche il messaggio di errore "CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED". Sistema operativo Windows. Ho già provato a disinstallare e ri-installare, deautorizzare e riautorizzare ma niente. Non ho mai avuto questi problemi e praticamente l'unico modo di leggere e-book è comprarli direttamente dal sito KOBO e sincronizzare il mio dispositivo. Come posso fare? Grazie!

hi a need to deauthorize ADE and authorize it again, in order to download an e-book. Help

I have a problem with Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. When I scroll down the image will not change, even though the page numbers at the bottom change. If I minimize and then maximize, the image will refresh and I can see the new page. This makes the software unusable. I have uninstalled and re-installed, though that didn't help. I have also tried using ADE 3.0. That also didn't solve the issue either. I am using Windows 10 on a brand new Samsung Flex 2.

Hello, I don't know if there is already a similar issue on the forum.I've tried to find a solution but I can't, and I begin to feel desperate about it... So basically, I redownloaded ADE because I had erased it by accident. Then, when I wanted to open my books (ASCM, protected by DRM), it tells me to type my Adobe ID. That I did, and that is where my nightmare began. It popped up a message telling me "The specified account isn't linked to the file you're trying to open" (that might not be the exact message, the software is in French, as I am... French.) So here I am, a dozen of books I can't open because apparently I'm not using the right ID. And I swear I am. Hope you have a solution to my problem, thanks.

Is there a working version of Adobe Digital Edition or an alternative?  Some  of the books in my library work fine,others may show the work error in the far  right column but there is no explanation.  I have books which were uploaded to my ColorNook via ADE but now don't work in ADE but work on my ColorNook.  If this is the best Adobe can do, why would I spend  money on their other products?

Not able to communicate with licenses server.No phone number to call to for help.Desperated. Any ideas ? Thanks

Hi. I have some e adept internal error in a specific book. In my case, another book that I bought from google works and a book that I downloaded on the adobe homepage works. I said my problem on google, but nothing worked. They said me to ask adobe. Is there anyone who knows the solution??

I have loaned some ADE-books from my library.After a few weeks these books expire.When you click on the file in Finder, ADE opens and says 'Expired', but it doesn't mention title nor author nor publisher.So now I wonder: 'WHAT book expired'?Is there any way to trace this back from the file name (eg '5211651.acsm')Thanks

I'm tearing my hair out. I searched this community for answers but nothing works. Help please. Since I downloaded Mojave on my Macbook air, I can't access ADE.I followed instructions to deauthorize and reauthorize, but it won't let me deauthorize and doesn't accept my password with my email associated with my account. (I updated and changed my password. Still not working.)It says to try again later. I searched on here and I have deleted and uploaded the latest version several times and nothing works; it still does not recognize my password and therefore won't allow me to deauthorize. I can't download epub books from the library anymore.  

Hi everyone,I've just installed Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11 on Win10 and added some files to the Library (the files were available on Adobe websites). They get added but then I cannot change pages. When I open ADE again after a few minutes, it opens on the page I'd selected previously (as if it was getting blocked for a long time). I've tried uninstalling this version and installing 3.0 - the same problem persists. I've tried right-clicking and running as administrator - the same problem persists.Could you please help me out? Hello, I have a Sony ereader type prs-t2. I have bought books online with my laptop (macbook) but for some reason i cant put them on my ereader. Sony advised to download ADE and I did. I can put my books on ADE but it doesnt see/find my ereader. Can someone help me out here? 

I have a Nook GlowLight Plus and the Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my computer to sideload the books I check out of the library. After I have sideloaded the book I can not open it. It requires log-in. I have tried every login I can think of and am stuck. The Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 has an old email address which is deactivated and I don't remember the password anyway. Nothing can be retrieved from the old email address. When I opened my Nook GlowLight Plus I see My account is my husbands email address.When I look in the Adobe DRM Settings I see my old inactive email address (same as in the computer Adobe Digital Editions 4.5), my husbands email address and my email address. I use my account at the public library to get the books on the Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. I may have several issues here. I looked at your forum and tried to follow the steps change the email address in the Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 but at a certain point I couldn't do what the next step was and gave up. I need

Bonsoir,J'ai malencontreusement exporté à deux reprises un livre ACSM dans ADE, et il en a résulté que je ne peux pas supprimer le fichier en trop, il réapparait à chaque fois et parfois avec une autre copie en prime. Même en supprimant le dossier complet "My Digital Editions", je me retrouve avec plusieurs copies de ce livre.Auriez-vous une solution à mon problème ?Cordialement.

I was Adobe's first user of Acrobat in Chicagoland, while it was provisionally named Carousel. I am known in the font world (I almost went to work for Sumner Stone), books on demand, and e-books. I designed Adobe's most-downloaded e-book. My doctorate is in design, with emphasis on interactivity. I've been using Adobe Digital Editions for years. It is probably one of the worst user experiences I have on my computer today. It's slow to open files; paging using the scroll wheel or thumb (by far the most important interaction!) is fatally flawed (one full revolution advances about six text lines); zooming and panning are similarly intractable. (Compare Mendeley's use of PDFNet -- much smoother.) The main advantages seem to redound to Adobe and publishers, not to users. I don't know what else to say except that in many ways it's a level worse than what Acrobat Reader has evolved into. Acrobat itself is similarly focused on amenities that protect the upstream actor but at the same time

I have the latest version of Adobe digital solutions, and it is extremely slow to load and scroll. Please help.

I am at my PC and am trying to load up a library book.  Normally this works well with ADE 3.0 but at the moment, and last night, it does not seem to be functioning at all.  Zip.  Last night I couldn't even shut it down normally.  Is anyone else having issues, or just me?  Also, if I have to remove ADE and put it back, do I need to do the whole authorization thing all over again?  I have instructions for that but they are a mile long.  HELP!
