Dimension

I have this same problem. Whenever I add my PNG that I want rendered on the glass shape, it only appears undistorted whenever it is small and away from the edges(see top attached image). BUT, whenever it is enlarged or touching the edges it becomes distorted, warped or scrambled(see bottom attached imaged). Which makes this difficult or impossible for my situation because I need to be 1/8" away from the edge of the glass cutout. Is there any fix for this?.

I have been trying to figure this out. I built this vector in AI, made it pixel perfect, made sure all my lines were clean, sent it to PS, did a 3D render, again made sure all of my surfaces were clean, saved as an OBJ and imported to Dimensions an what I get is very different from what I built in Photoshop. Please help.

Hello,(Sorry if this was asked before, I am new to these forums and I could not find the answer I was looking for.)I have a design going into a complex room and I was asked to render the space in 3D to show off the final look. I have the design built in InDesign, with Photoshop and Illustrator elements.What's more the designs on the wall will change over time, so I would need to be able to update the walls with the new designs for future projects.I downloaded Adobe Dimension but quickly learned that putting in exact measurements is not possible (but I could be wrong). I am familiar with illustrator but I am not sure how I would change the camera direction ("This is what the space looks like to the North West. And here it is to the South East." Etc.).Ideally I would like to be able to map out a space using exact measurements. Click on the wall or the ceiling and quickly update the graphic, from say a saved pdf or jpeg. Hey guys, I'm hoping I can get some help. I've been using Dimension for some time now, and it has worked just fine. Yes, there are some issues with decal quality after rendering among other things. But yesterday, I started a new project where the first issue I notice was when placing a decal it was showing up mirrored horizontally. I thought it was maybe a bug or an issue with my JPG, so I used the edit/ open in PS feature in Dimension and resolved the issue. But my biggest issue was not even that, because once I had fixed the decal and set up my scene- looking at the render preview my object would just show up black. If I removed the decal it shows up fine, so I decided to use a good known decal used before and tried getting the render preview- only to find out that the issue persisted. Can someone help out??? I have recently purchased a new laptop to find out it didnot support PS CC due to memory minimal, and  unableto use Dimension CC on the trial, some bad advise and suggestion along with some miss steps were sent to mevia Adobe support.  Now that I have gathered all the necessaryinformation, it is determined that my laptop is basicallyworthless. I have narrowed down some laptops that will support allof what is required however, it any one else has a recommended list, or perhaps good experiences toshare about what they are using it would be appreciated.It is very disappointing to have saved and spent money onsomething you cannot use or appreciate.

I have a 3D model made up of several components built in Rhino. My goal is to try different color and texture combinations among the components but at the moment it will only import as one solid object. I've reviewed these recommended export settings: Supported 3D model formats and content Any other ideas on how I can make this happen? Should I import one component at a time? Is there a key export setting I might be missing?

Dear all:Is it normal for a decal that is imported to come in distorted, i.e., the length and width aren't 100% x 100%? I've been using a Cube object from the library, and using the magic wand to select the front, side, and top panels to apply a decal to each. When I place/import the decal (which is a flattened RGB PSD file) in a panel, it appears distorted.Ivor

I can not edit anything in dimension cc. The work area does not present any object or background image ... Even when creating a new document, the same thing happens in the work area: I select any object to edit it and I can not see anything on the stage. I open previous files and I can not visualize their contents either ...

I have created a 3d object in PS and imported as 3 obj files. when I attempt to import the image I want on the front plane of one of the obj elements it comes in far too small. when I try to resize it the image completely distorts as if magnetically pulled into the corners of the obj. the panel of the obj I am trying to apply the decal to is a flat star shape. the decal is an identically shaped png image. any suggestions gratefully received as this is driving me mental.

Hi ! We are doing some packaging and we get some trouble when we put the label on. There is one side that is good, but the other side, the paper get fold. It launches fine, and I can open a new document, but the moment I try to do something the application gives an error and needs to close.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling (re-download through CC app) the application but to no avail.Here is a screenshot of the error message:

Hi,in the welcoming video (when launching Dimension) a tutor shows You can export a model from Dimension to .PSD file and then open it in Photoshop. Also, she says You can then change the colors of Your model with no need to get back to Dimension. All that sound great but... is there any tutorial showing how to do it?Dimension's .PSD has Render layer and three additional layers - material selection mask, object selection mask and depth selection mask. I was more than sure when You open the rendered .PSD layer You will be easly able to use the model as a 3D model. Also, I was more than sure I can then send it to After Effects and animate it there. If not, what's the purpose of creating such app?Regards,Paul

I installed Dimension CC and after i work a little , it just stop working . It dosent froze, looks like I can press buttons and click but when I do, nothing happens , I can close the program oly with task manager. Is pretty weird because I have a brand new Lenovo legion Y520 , with nividia geforce gtx, intel core i5 , 7th generation , SSD and still not working.

     So far my renders for this image have gotten up ~33 hours and then dimension quits working;  there are no errors but apple's activity monitor show the CPU is back to about 93% idle and the render clock keeps ticking... but no progress.       I am looking to export the images as large as possible to the raise the dpi in Photoshop so I am exporting on High at 1125x2500 and the image has lots of translucent material and complex reflections so I'm not expecting speedy results, but I do want results.  Do I need a more powerful computer (tech specs below)? -- Sorry, I did not save samples of the process when rendering stopped, but I am currently rendering another of the same image (low @ ~700x1000) and it looks poised to fail. Hello there, I'm having issues importing .obj files into Adobe Dimensions. Some work, some not, and the only things I could find thatthe ones that don't work have in common is larger file size, above 20MB. Thank you for your help!

Is there an option to add few lighting spots? I trying to render brand character, he is wearing hat (hat is floating), and i can't reduce dark place under hat image below. Light from ground could helps me, but how to do it in dimension CC?

Hi everyone,I'm trying to mockup packshots in Dimensions. I had some testruns and it comes out OK.Now however, i have another button on the can and the green colour changes pretty badly. As you can see in the first image, that is more correct.It's been a while since the first testrun and i'm not sure if i changed the colour settings to RGB/CMYK. Could this be the case?The file in the decal:I've tried adjusting the lighting but that made no difference!I've also read that the next update could include an export setting (for 300DPI). Hello!I've been trying to 3D-model two tombstones in sketchup and then bring them into Adobe Dimensions CC, most of the textures look fine but some geometry is altered when imported. I've attached some screenshots, and I'm just wondering if there is a solution for this: Is Dimension more picky than other apps? I know that it's still quite new, should I just wait for it to become more stable and move onto something else? (just fyi: these are not real tombstones, just examples)Take this tombstone for example, it has a distinct heart-shape on the top. When imported into adobe photoshop, Autodesk Maya or Unity the geometry is fine. Why is that?This next one I expected some issues with, since its so complex: almost half is obscured, but the things that are visible look really good up close!Do you have any advice for me? I'm quite familiar with dimension but this is the first time I've imported my own 3D .obj !Have a nice day!/Kalle

How do you create a fillable form?

I followed a tutorial on youtube on how to create a simple bottle and then place a decal on it yet when I make my 22 ounce beer bottle and place any type of decal on it the graphic just stretches.  It seems as though at the half way point of the bottle it hits a wall and goes all over the place.  I extruded into 3d using photoshop as the tutorial instructed so I'm not sure what it is.  Using a stock bottle from dimensions, a pill bottle or something, the graphic wraps cleanly around the bottle.Is there a better way to create this 3d bottle?  I looked at adobe stock and there isn't a bottle that matches what I need.  I have looked around the internet and one bottle costs almost $50 so I want to create this myself.  The bottle itself looks great in dimensions until I place a label on it.thanks,Chris
