For find and replace Is a link text or source code?

When I try to install emmet.zxp on my old Mac running CS6, using Extension Manager CS6 version 6.0.8.28, I get the following error message: The extension "Emmet" does not contain valid signature. The extension will not be installed.I have tried installing from Ext. Mgr directly and from within Dreamweaver. No luck. Any help greatly appreciated.Thanks

I am returning to using DW after a few years, and am now using DW CC 2018, rather than DW CS from previous years.There was a previous function that allowed you to connect to MySQL Databases etc and link the fields, so when you created a Form the data was automatically inserted into the hosted Database - this function seems to have been removed.Can anybody make any recommendations as to what the process is now for inserting data into a remotely hosted database.I see there are many Add-On's which can be purchased, but I was wondering whether there was still a way of doing this directly within DW without the use of an Add-In.Any hep would be appreciated.Sean

I have a very simple responsive site.I'm not intending to advertise at all in any way but the site is at www.tanyalak.comNow, I want to freeze the top grey band so that it stays on screen at all time and insert a menu where the Tanyalak logo and the Facebook icon is.Could anyone please advise me how I could go about this please.All my attempts have messed up the site before now.Thank youTerry

Adobe claims they have a partnership with Microsoft but I've never seen a group of products so incompatible!Is this just a marketing lie?Where are the details/instructions to get DreamWeaver to work with SQL Server?

Surely there is an answer for this? How do we turn these off? I shouldn't have to stop what I am doing, find the tiny itty-bitty x and click it, and then return to what I am doing. Whoever thought it was helpful was wrong, wrong, wrong. I see a brief conversation earlier where the person was given instructions on how to do this in Photoshop, but those options don't apply in Dreamweaver. And that was the end of it. Heck, I even clicked the "I know what the heck I'm doing" option when I updated Dreamweaver.  I shudder to think what I would be seeing if I had clicked the "I'm a newbie" box!

I find it ridiculous that I have to click every single one of these to make them stop.  For on-the-job web developers, it's absurd that I cannot turn these off by choice. Get with it, Adobe. Two days ago, I opened DW18CC and my window was back to the white default view. I went into prefs to change it and every time I clicked "apply", It would get 3 pop ups saying "While executing onLoad in writePreference.htm, a JavaScript error occurred." Trying to do a sitewide link find and replace and DW is saying there are no links for the one I'm inserting in the first box and I simply and copy and pasting from the link of which there are hundreds (old contact page) so puzzled.

I posted 6 MP4 videos to my website and only one of them plays.  Here is my code:<video width="320" height="240" autoplay controls><source src="http://www.website.com/video.mp4" type="video/mp4"></video>The videos were encoded with Premiere Pro, H.264, High Quality 480p SD.  The message where the video should be says: "No video with supported format and MIME type found."   When I go to the videos location on my website, I get a 404 error.How can I fix this?Thank you in advance.John

Dreamweaver Experts, thanks for reading this and all your help in the past.  While making a new html page in DW the software asks me on the start menu: New bootstrap.css or Existing.css ?  Honestly, sometimes, I choose new and sometimes I choose existing across different Site folders not knowing what difference it makes.  Never seems to make a difference.  Now, choosing BS framework or not certainly does.  The reason why I’m confused by this question is because I thought Bootstrap4.css was read only and all subsequent styling is done inline or on attached css.  Seems like DW should be attaching the same BS4.css every time.  I looked this up on DW support and could not find the answer I was looking for:  thanks for your input.

A few years later, I learned about switch/case and started using it for every conditional that could be done with switch/case, falling back to if/else for situations where switch/case couldn’t be used.About four years ago, I learned about dispatch tables and I’m going bonkers with it. I would be using dispatch tables in my professional work, but no one else here wants to use them, so I stick to switch/case and if/else just because no one else wants to know about them and I have to keep my code so that anyone can work on it.
