Dreamweaver

I've been using XAMPP for Mac for a year without problems. Today, for no apparent reason, when I activate it, the Apache Web Server stops automatically after two seconds activation. I've signed on to XAMPP's forum but I cannot find my way around it.Do you know what might be causing such auto-stoppage? The version I'm using is XAMPP 5.6.30-0 for Mac.Thank you.Warren

DW editing front page; not normal anymore and fully updated too."Left side is invisible;" something happened last week and things look likebootstrap or something had a change. I cannot use DW or Edit and entire pageswith bootstrap as words or text are aligned left and out of the picture , and different than all of last year, and I didnot update or change computer in any way. I must have clicked something. WhenIt says safe ‘bootstrap’ updates, something I do not see them and clickit.  I do not know  what to do?This issue is not updates or my computer, I must have punched somethingthat skewed all the pages. Help/ The cursor does not go left, the words andpages disappear on the  left side and italso something shows up on the web . This actually is a Portfolio question, but since I found no way to ask about Portfolio. Dreamweaver seemed the closest of the offered choices. Specific question: I have a student subscription to the Creative Suite. I begin a tech college course in WordPress in a couple weeks. The course requires hosting with a WordPress install. Will Portfolio or something else within the Create Suite give me hosting and allow me to install WordPress on it? I am 78 years of age. Embarked on a new "career" donating print and web work to nonprofit agencies in Appleton, Wisconsin, USA. Agencies including regular work for LEAVEN. I'm not sure if this is a Dreamweaver problem or not but Google tells me others have a similar -- but not exactly the same -- problem. Also, the regex Find & Replace solution appearing in all of those forums doesn't work for my problem. Please let me know if you have this problem and/or a solution and/or advice.Here's the situation (that just started, mind you):I work on a file (php/html) in Dreamweaver 2017 (Windows 7) at the office and either upload it to my server or email it to myself.I download it to my iMac (at least El Capitan and I'm pretty sure that's the last time I updated) and open it in Dreamweaver 2015 where it looks like the code is double-spaced. All lines that were right on top of each other now have a blank line between them and any chunks of code I'd actually separated with a line or two of code now have multiple lines of code between them. I haven't thought of experimenting or checking to see if those lines are doubled or if they just have a single line added.I

I have 3 rows (each with a flex class) of which each row contains 4 columns with a thumb container in each column.Appearance currently visually acceptable, but I find that with all thumbs aligned/floated left, as the md and lg breakpoints it begins to leave more empty space to right than I would prefer.I have tried several approaches found thru forum and discussion groups, but have only managed to blow up the page a couple of times due to my unfamiliarity with flex.Guidance would be appreciated.Page located at: Equity 2 Gain Property Listings Thank You

          Happy New Year and thanks for all your help !  Each time I save this site in Dreamweaver I get a pop message "File activity incomplete".  The site looks perfect the way I want as shown in the middle screen shot.  The site looks bad and somewhat like an older version on the right screen shot taken from a Chrome  browser shot and from A2 Hosting.  I have updated all my hosting company files from my local drive on the Dreamweaver site for the local host.  I have cleared cache with the same results.  In File Explorer, this index file properties look the same as another site index file that works fine.  Any suggestions are appreciated....thanks   

No matter which way I attempt to open Dreamweaver CS5.5 (v 11.5, it starts the "Initializing" process, opens for a split second and then closes down quickly.  I don't know the fix for this and desperately need it to work again.  Working in Windows 10 Pro.PLEASE HELP!?

I am using a font called Edwardian Script on my website. The font currently only works on a computer where the script is already available. How do I get it to work on everyone's computer regardless of whether they have the font or not?

For no apparent reason my Dreamweaver CS5 on Windows 10 started crashing on startup a couple of days ago - no error messages, its just like I had done an Exit. I have been using this same system virtually every day for a year with no problem. I tried a number of things as suggested on various forums without any luck. The only thing I installed before it started crashing was an update to Firefox 57.0.3 (64-bit), Microsoft Windows Defender anti-virus normal updates, and Windows went through an update after Dreamweaver started crashing. I solved the problem by right clicking on the Dreamweaver desktop icon, clicking Properties, Compatability, then ticking "Run this program in compatability mode for: Windows 7" (it was unticked before). Dreamweaver then started up as it should. I then Exited Dreamweaver, unticked the "Run this program in compatability mode for: Windows 7" and started Dreamweaver up again and all is fine. Whatever the setting of "Run this program in compatability mode for:

I have tried multiple approaches including Brian Wood's method here on the Adobe site, using MAMP and not using it. All of them go along fine until I get to the "Discover" part and I always get the error that DW is unable to locate some resources and therefore I still cannot view the siteenough to edit. With photoshop I've created an image, and then, from this image, I have make a lot of sliced (for buttons) obtained with grid and save for web.I put  this sliced images (saved for web) through html inside of an another html wich have a lot of other function, but the image/s is/are too large.Is there a way (a fast way) to resized the whole photoshop image/s now  formed by a lot of sliced images and html language?Thank you.

I am using Dreamweaver CC 2018, and it tells me that I can use Emmet to make my coding quicker.  When I click on the tip, it takes me to Dreamweaver Exchange, and I have to search for it, and here is the problem, it isn't there to be found.  I go to the creators website, Emmet.io, and click on download, and even then, it doesn't work.How on earth, can I use Emmet, if Dreamweaver doesn't want me to use it??Look forward to hearing the replies.Damo

Why when I select a div I give a class and id to, then select my css under source, why is the selector showing the id instead of the class. Shouldn't it be showing the class in order for me to make changes in css?

man this is driving me absolutely nuts.  So far what i'm trying to do is edit an existing wordpress site in dreamweaver. I have installed and configured MAMP since im on a mac. I have imported a complete set of local files of my site and placed them in the root folder:mamp-htdocs-www.ive created a database in mySql and imported my tables from my server to it and configured it to match the wp-config file. No problems there. In Dreamweaver , after managing sites, i set up local folder as wamp-htdocs-www, and setup my testing server as local/network with address as http://localhost/www.With all that i am able to preview my site, animations and all. But when i try to click on my .css files or .js files and some other i get the error " 'style.css' is a remote file and cannot be edited. When i try to make changes to the css through the styles panel it tells me : Unable to open file "http://www.sitename.org/wp-content-themes/sitename/style.css. Hi,I installed the latest OS High Siera and now cant get DW to work. The rest of my apps are fine PS, AI but Dreamweaver fails to start up. I have tried uninstalling it then reinstalling to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.Sorry, i clicked the wrong button not answered.
