Dreamweaver

I have about 10 site folders defined on my primary hard drive.  I was working in one of them yesterday. When I launched DW 2018 this morning, that site was missing from my Files Panel & Manage Sites definitions.  That's never happened to me before.All is not lost.  The folder is on my hard drive and it correctly populates in DW 2017.  So I am exporting my .ste from 2017 and importing into 2018.  Weird huh?Nancy

Lately in DW4 my CSS file has intermittently been giving me the following error when I try save or open .classes from the CSS Styles panel:"An unexpected error occurred while trying to read style-sheet information."Here's the CSS file.Thanks.

I would like to thank Osgood and Nancy O'Shea for help with sizing images in a Bootstrap carousel. I marked the question "answered".For a novice like me a Bootstrap carousel has a great appeal - it's a free, one-click operation. I just wish there were more documentation/guidance that came along with it.For example - Bootstrap creates an ID "carousel1" and three classes "carousel-inner", "item-active", and "center-block". After trial and error I found that the only class which lent itself to CSS styling of the images was "center-block". By setting the width to "100%" and max-height to "auto", I am getting pretty good results. Obviously if you can crop all the images the same, you can avoid surprises.Kevin

What cipher suites are used with Dreamweaver's SFTP connection. I'm trying to verify it is FIPS 140-2 compliant.

Dreamweaver CS6.  Installing Galleria slide show.  I copy and paste their code to test script src= http://ajax.googleapis..., and "jQuery works" shows in live view.  Copy and paste their code for script src=galleria... and the test copy ("Galleria works") does not appear in the live view.  It appears in browsers.  I've assured that the path is correct  for the script source.  The same problem occurs with images such as the SSL certificate from GoDaddy.  Help please. 

Hi all...I'm new to the whole concept of building HTML emails from the ground up, and so my query is about how would you go about creating a HTML e-mail via Dreamweaver using a PSB (Photoshop file?) I have two images one designed for mobile/app use, the other for desktop use..and I don't really have a clue as to where to start!! And I need to provide a working example asap, but what do I need to do? Can anyone help please?

I cleaned the Dreamweaver off my computer through Utilities re-down loaded it but it will not except the new serial # ?????

I do not understand this issue. It was working fine yesterday.I am not using wordpress. This is a custom PHP file which takes information from an ftp server and updates my SQL database. It is running on my computer. I am using Apache Server 2.0 with macOS Server. In addition, the console reads this: Proxy ErrorThe proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.The proxy server could not handle the request GET /ftpaddress.php.Reason: Error reading from remote serverI try to rerun the program and I see "An unknown error occurred while discovering dynamically related files. Retry" Could this be an internet connection issue? Or could I have damaged my code?

Hi I am working on a template and can't figure why my video wont play in the pop up. Originally it had a Vimeo link which worked but it doesn't with my you tube link. Does anyone have any thoughts?I'm using marketo to host the page and there are some cache issues. You can view the page through this code. Hey, Im trying to make a separate file for a global navigation bar using Server Side Includes in Dreamweaver cc 2018.When I preview my index.html file I get the menu that I included, but if I try to use it to get to another page like "About Us" it doesn't appear on the new page... However if I click "preview in browser" for the About Us page, the menu apears again...Is it a problem that all my files have the ending .html?Or is it something that will happen in DW but wont happen when I uploade my site?

Dreamweaver 2017 is very slow when opening files with external links.Sometimes it takes 30 seconds.I've already unchecked all options in the sync preferences, and turned off view>related files options>display.I have no sites setup.I'm just using Dreamweaver as a code editor.  I don't need the loading of graphics or elements.What else can I do to speed up file loading?Thanks

The best CSS editor is STILL in Dreamweaver CC latest version - but for some reason Adobe is hiding it!!It only seems to appear when you want to style a table (I think this is because styling a table with the "new css edit" would take forever. and Adobe know it!)This dialog box makes it so easy to edit css fast - much faster then the new "css designer" - even faster then "quick edit" feature (for me).Why can't I double click on a selector - and get this pop-up box - so i can change the settings like the above?! It's still built into the software!How do i get it to show apart from when adding a new selector?Does anyone know a way to reveal this box apart from creating a new style?(On a side note - the Ctrl + Shift + Alt + P feature to bring back the old css editor panel - Please bring that back too!)Thanks for the help!

Hello Dreamweaver experts,I want to create a mobile website but I don't want a full responsive site. i am happy with my current website www.moltocreativo.nl and want to maintain it for desktop and iPad users. However, for mobile phone users (smaller than iPad) I would like to create a new mobile site. Question is: how do I create a mobile site only for phone users, and how do I automatically direct the them to the mobile site?Advice would be appreciated.Michael

In just about every Windows app I work with, Ctrl+U invokes an underscore on highlighted text.  Not so in DW.  Instead it opens the Preferences panel.   The <u> element was deprecated in HTML 4.01.  But the W3C redefined it in HTML5 to represent text that should be stylistically different from normal text, such as misspelled words or proper nouns in Chinese. Ctrl+B = Bold or <strong>Ctrl+I = Italic or <em>There is no Underscore option on the HTML Properties panel.Logically,  Ctrl+U should be Underscore or <u>.Nancy

I'm working on a school project and are having a hard time with all this coding since I'm new to this. The screenshot I uploaded is how it's supposed to look, but when upload it to my server it won't show... There's just an question mark where the picture ("Landås" with an orange underline) should be, and when I click on it I get to an error page, not a new page as I'm supposed to. When I try to real-time preview it in Dreamweaver everything seems to be fine. Hi,I am trying to find a solution to building an app, likely HTML5. I have a Wordpress site and was hoping to feed data from the blog pages etc into my app. The menu design etc to be completed manually in Dreamweaver. Is this possible? I have been on dreamwaver for some months, about to complete my first website, here are my questions : 1. Is converting width pixel to percentage enough to make the site responsive? Or I have to make use of Media Query or Bootstrap.2. If I set the height as auto instead of percentage or pixel, does it mean whatever content I add to the page will automatically find its space and the container will accommodate all the contents?3. So by using auto height, I am finding it hard to add slider, please advise on how to add slider as I dont want to use amazing or wow slider. How do I add the script as part of the head and the slider html under the topnav. I don't mind a screenshot pls. How to get the code pls. Can we categorize slider as part of header or body? 4. I am trying to arrange 3 images with caption as paragraphs on my homepage and some other pages, i float them to left but it's not really giving the result i want, what am I not doing right?Regards.
