Copy & Paste using Win+v results in text being pasted twice

I am using Dreamweaver 21.2 15523 Build and Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.19044 Build 19044.When using Find and Replace in Code View, and pasting from the Clipboad History, the pasted text is duplicated.  i.e. the text is pasted twice.  Using the normal Ctrl+v results in the text being pasted once.HOW TO REPRODUCE THE ERROR.1. With a file open in Code View2. Press Ctrl+F(Find in Current Document) or Ctrl+Shift+F to invoke Find and Replace in Files.3 With the cursor in the Find field, press Win+v to display the Windows Clipboard History. 4. Click an Entry from Clipboard History.RESULTS:The text from Clipboard History appears twice in the Find Field.

Blue Frame from Live View is missing

The Blue frame that highlights elements in DW (2021) is missing for me. I am in Live View with 'Hide live Views Displays' unchecked. I've thrashed my DW preferences (windows style), rebooted the machine, saved a site to a path without unusual characters in the path and still no sign of them. My code is just two divs from bootstrap with nothing in them as I am about to do a tutorial on Bootstrap and not having the blue frame is frustrating. Any ideas welocmed, thank you. Please note I am in Live View with 'Hide live Views Displays' unchecked..

Re: Error Special characters must be escaped in Dreamweaver

I am experiencing this issue with a simple <img> tag. The error has nothing to do with the php setting.  I experienced the problem with a super simple <html> doc. I closed Dreamweaver, and the error is gone.   C'mon Adobe! You can do better!

css for resizing a static landing page

I'm working on a site that I need to display today. The landing page is one image, for getting viewers to return. On the Dreamweaver page, I attached css that i expected to make the big png resize according to the viewing screen. It didn't work. Is there one particular instruction that should always get used for a case like this? thanks,Nicky

Can PDF compatibility in browsers be improved via server-side code?

Asked this in InDesign recently, then realized I wouldn't really know for sure until I ask coders. Exported my InDesign PDF magazine with layout setting "Two-Up (Cover)" so it displays the standalone cover, then switches to double-page view (until the back standalone cover). There will be a standard web link to the file, so users can open it however they choose — most will use Acrobat, and have zero issues — but for the few who will open the PDF file in-browser, I noticed only Firefox seems to respect the "Two-Up (Cover)" layout setting... neither Edge, Opera or Chrome will properly display 2-page spreads natively. My first question is, why Firefox? Is there a partnership between Adobe/Mozilla I'm unaware of, or did FF just decide to include a little more PDF compatibility than the chromium browsers have? My second question is : could this limitation somehow be overcome by some server-side code trickery (html, css, php, js)? I assume the answer is no, but getting th

Liebe Community, bin hier neu. Habe bisher wenig Erfahrung mit Dreamweaver bzw CSS.Ich habe eine etwas aufwendigere Vorlage kreiert. Sie lief anfänglich. Doch nun bekomme ich beim Öffnungsversuch als Template eine Fehlermeldung. Direkt öffnen geht.Ich habe da einen Fehler produziert. Wie kann ich das beheben? Es handelt sich um ein verschachteltes Format. Ich bin dankbar für jeden Tipp, den ich weiss mit meinem eingeschräkten Wissen über CSS nicht weiter. Anbei die CSS-Datei und Screenshot.Ich hoffe auf Hilfestellung - und bitte keinen blöden Kommentare. Ich ärgere mich so schon genug.DankePS. ggf den Quellcode direkt bei mir Anfordern

Forced to quit

I am running the latest DW 2021 on Mac OS Sequoia 15.5. I am editing pages and suddenly it stops working, then the spinning wheel of death appears and then I get the message saying that DW is unresponsive - Ignore or Force Quit.Anyone know why I might be getting this and how to stop it? I was getting this same issue before the last OS update.Thanks in advance!

Dreamweaver 21.6 uses out of date OpenSSH for SFTP

My web host provider Pair Networks requires at least OpenSSH 9.0 for SFTP connections because of security problems with older versions. So far as I can tell the current Dreamweaver version 21.6 is still using OpenSSH 8.8 and therefore fails to connect. Published workarounds from Adobe only explain how to use even older versions of OpenSSH not newer ones (the current version is 10.6). This effectively makes Dreamweaver unusable for me so I suppose I shall have to end my trial and try some other editor..

Link to a Specific Page in PDF File?

I am trying to add a link in a web page to a PDF file which takes you to a particular page in the PDF file. I have followed these instructions from elsewhere on the internet and it does not to work! 😞 For example for page 4 the advice I have got is to add #page=4 to the end of the link. Thus the whole link for a file (in the same folder) which is called Script_310317.pdf would be as follows …Script_310317.pdf#page=4This should take you to page 4 of the PDF but it still just takes you to the top or page one of the file. What have I done wrong? I am using Safari.Thanks for your help,Gareth

Dreamweaver CS3 move to new computer [CS3 is DEAD]

Hello I want to move my Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 to a new computer. I tried deactivating it but get a message saying I need to adjust the internet proxy setting on my computer. I've no idea what that means! Can you help? It would be much appreciated.  I also have Premiere Elements 12 and Photoshop CS3 Extended. I have the seial number of all of these.

Regex not matching uppercase letters

I'm doing a find/replace using this regex:([A-Z]{3,4}\s\d{3}) It should match patterns like this: INFO 120 or POL 312 But is also matched "ered 300" in the string "course numbered 300 or ..."  Shouldn't [A-Z] only match uppercase letters?

Links to a subfolder (not a file) get rewritten

If I have some navigation links within a library item and they are hyperlinks to a subfoldere.g.<a href="../example/">example </a> then Dreamweaver will rewrite this to<a href="../example">example </a> i.e. it removes the trailing space and makes the link look like it is going to a single page rather than a directory. Also if you do have a page with that name it will be loaded instead of the intended directory. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Google will see these are two separate URLs and so it is bad for SEO. I could just avoid this by linking to "../example/index.html" but that is ugly and means that any future change to, for example .php, would mean changing all the links.

css edits not showing in dreamweaver

Running macos 15.6.1Dreamweaver 21.2Mac mini M1Last week DW began to hang, a lot. This usually occurred when Dreamweaver was launching. Adobe Support had me uninstall 21.6. They told me to install version 21.2. Now, when I try to edit css stylesheets, none of my attempts show any results. I want to widen the div containing text. I also want to slide it to the left. Am I reading the css incorrectly? Before the DW problems arose, I had been able to begin the editing I want. How can I examine the css, to find the source of this problem?

Editing Library Items in Templates

Hi everyone, For the last few years I have used templates that were designed to work in Dreamweaver. The company that I bought these templates from has gone out of business. I found another company and downloaded one of their templates today. After researching, I have realized that .lbi files - where you can edit shared files, such as navigation, seem to be exclusive to Dreamweaver specific templates. Can anyone tell me where to go to edit these things since there is no Library folder in this template? I hope this makes sense. I am learning as I go along. I appreciate your help!

changing css in a template

Trying to make 2 css changes in this template:I want to delete the first row, and move the logo down to where I've drawn the circle;I am trying to widen content for this website. I want to move the main container farther left, and widen it to push the sider farther right.  I've been playing with the css a looong time, without any success. Après avoir désinstaller puis installer à nouveau le logiciel aucune résolution. Attach or add javascript or css style sheet (.js or .css)

Hi. In my particular case I need a javascript - but I think this would be appropriate for anyone who may want to attach (or create/insert) a new .css script as well.I'm working with a pre-set bootstrap template and making adjustments to it. In my particular case the Google Maps wasn't working so I removed it and installing a new one. I found a site that gave me one designed just for bootstrap and it gave me the HTML (which I can put anywhere) and the javascript written SEPARATELY. So what I wonder is how create a new box and then "insert" it along the horizontal  "Source Code" line? Here's a pic of the line I'm referring to: I know there is a .css "attach style sheet" located down "Tools" but the Google Map is a javascript (.js)...so in no way can be seen as an "existing .css file".
