Feature Requests

One of my favorite options to setup in drawing apps is setting the double-tap on my Apple Pencil to select the eraser. I’m sure other customizations could come in handy as well. If possible, I think this would be a great feature!

In photoshop I would like a hot key to toggle background transparency on and off. (instead of having to go to preferences and select the pulldown to turn it on or off). and yes I know you can set up a keyboard equiv, but then you still have to pull down the options to turn on and off, it's just not quick) Or, maybe a check box on the top tool bar.thanks.

In Photoshop I would like to be able to paste “unstyled” text as an option. In OS X one can do this by holding Command-Option-Shift-V. The pasted text will then take on the default style as determined by the document, losing any specific formatting from its source. At present, if I want to paste the content of one styled field to another, Photoshop forces me to roundabout to an external editor, strip the styling there, then return to PS to paste. Life could be simpler.

I love to have PS on my iPad, but I hate the same mistakes Apple did before. Now Apple opened up the Filesystem (hey! I can put my USB Stick in) .Problem: on this usb Stick is a PS File and I can open it from that Stick, but WHY???? can I not save it directly to the same File??? So I have to put it in that complete unusefull Cloud-Storage and the I have to export it and...and ...and ... that‘s not a workflow! Frontmost it‘s not my workflow. I don‘t need several Iterations and Copys of my Files. It‘s PS: I do it inside the file.so PLEASE: let me save the file I‘d opened. Then PS-mobile becomes really handy!

Photoshop CS6 suggestion. When in Full Screen Mode when the image is fit to screen the ability to move it on the screen in any directions instead of it being static or to have to change the screen mode.

My co-worker and I (and I would assume the majority of tabbed Photoshop users), agree that the tabs are a huge improvement over the older versions of Photoshop. But it doesn't appear a whole lot has changed with CS6. And change is what the tabs need. Firstly, simply put, they need to work more like a browser works. Spend a day in Google Chrome and then try to use Photoshop's tabbing system. So many features are missing from Photoshop's tabs. Re-arranging tabs is possible, but quite cumbersome. If I accidentally pull a tab out of the row, it's hard to put it back into place. I can't simply drag one tab all the way to the left. I have to carefully make sure it doesn't come out of the row while I'm doing it. Also, the tabs should shrink horizontally when there are a lot of them. Having to click the "expand" arrows to see all the tabs is quite annoying. The tabs could definitely decrease in width even more, when more tabs are present. An option to restrict Liquify mesh to layer bounds on a smart object would be a massive time saver for us, smart liquify has good potential but is too susceptible to the mesh shifting position when changing canvas size and even importing layers from other documents with a different canvas size. problem/solution stems from this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1113544 "jworthin wrote: Currently the mesh is resized to the document bounds. You guys are going to include Gradient Map in iPad Photoshop, right?

It would be great to have the option to pick the "source sky" for the replacement from another layer, instead of just the "sky library".

Would be a comfortable way of getting script updates to coworkers.

Photoshop has some, if not the best selection tools in the market and with the recent ‘Select Subject’ option they are really making it easier every day. As a part time real estate photographer I can’t tell you how great a sky selection tool would be!!!

The Hue/Saturation adjustment layer panel doesn't give any indication of which color ranges have had hue/saturation adjustments made to them. It would be nice if the panel had some sort of indicators to show which ranges have had changes. Also, it would be nice if it stayed on the same range when I return to the adjustment layer. Currently, if I make the H/S layer and select the green range and make in edit, then come back to the adjustment layer later, the panel returns to showing the master settings.

Hello there! I was hoping if you lovely people could help me in directing me to the warp feature on Photoshop through the IPad application. I am aware that not all features are added to the application, and if anyone would like to educate me that would be very apriciated from my part, thanks!

As I work with hundreds of images every day and ALWAYS use a reference image on the side for correct colour from different skin colors, it would be great to have a panel you can dock where you can have your different images you use as reference. I think most proimaging services could use this to greatly improve workspeed etc. Now I have to have a separate floating window, and it always gets in the way, and even worse, when I open a new batch of images they start docking into the reference image I have open...

It would be really good if you could Nest action sets under one another. Does anyone else think this would be good ? Or am I off with the Fairies. ??

I'm a UI designer and some of my PSD's become very complex over time which makes it extremely hard for our developers to find what they are looking for. A search-tool in the layers palette would be helpful as well but what would be at least as welcome is a "reference" tool where i can add URLs (to Jira tickets for example) but more importantly add reference links to actual layer groups or layers. (After effects' way of linking layers would be perfect for that) An example: if a developer is looking for a certain design they just need to click a link I provided for let's say "Login UI - final step - updated" and they simply go there in the layers panel by clicking a reference link. This way others can use my complex ui psd's without problems.

Something I would very much like to see in Photoshop is greater control over the fractal noise filters(Render Clouds). I particularly love the old KPT Noize filter, that had a great deal of control over the noise and scaling parameters that I would love to see in Photoshop. I also would love to see Chris Cox's Difference Noise incorporated in this. Thanks!

Layer styles are useful because of their parametric and their non-destructive natures. Smart Filters are useful, but require the creation of a smart object beforehand. I'd like to suggest new layer styles, of commonly used effects, that would help to automate time-consuming tasks. This one is not one of my suggestions, it was made by Mark Reynolds in the user-to-user forum after my new styles suggestions, but I support it wholeheartedly: Noise - at the moment its possible to use Pattern Overlay and generate patterns to put grain texture and noise into layers. But a layer style with the correct parameters, grain size, blur, intensity, saturation (Saturation applies to the saturation of the noise not the image), would be useful. This brings me back to feature request made about a year or so ago, that it woud be possible to sample overall image 'noise' or 'grain' and to apply this to areas. It would use image analysis techniques, although Im not sure yet what these would be - to

Hello.I'm a 3D Artist in the games industry. I like to use patterns alot for texture overlays and such. I love the ability to pan the pattern, or just swap out the pattern for a new one and keep the same mask when somethings not working (I love masks too).One qwirk however, theres no ability to rotate them without collapsing the pattern fill to a layer and doing it manually. Breaking my non-destructive workflow and ruining what i love about patterns. I am sure it wouldn't be too hard a feature to add, seeing as the gradient fill layer already has an rotation/angle implemented. This would save time and also keep my PSD's nice and tidy.I made a handy little gif that switches between pattern fill currently, and what would be desireable.Thanks.Chevy McGoram Image is not available

Photoshop's Save for Web ability contains a setting called Convert to sRGB. If on, it destructively changes the resulting file's colour values from the document's profile to sRGB. I believe this is the wrong thing to do in almost every conceivable scenario. The default behaviour is for Convert to sRGB to be enabled. I think this is a huge mistake. Let's take a look at some common scenarios. You're building a website using GIFs: GIFs can't contain ICC profiles. This means if you're using GIFs, they can't benefit from any colour management at all. Converting to sRGB when saving for web will destructively change their appearance with no benefit. If you've used a specific colour, like #FF0010 in your GIF, it will likely be changed to not match the same colour used in HTML, CSS or other code. You're building a website using PNGs: PNGs can contain ICC profiles, but PNGs saved using Save For Web can not. This means if you're using PNGs and Save For Web, they can't benefit from any colour mana

It would be great if you could add “PDF” to the list of export formats, within Photoshop.In my case, I currently have to use an online file converter to generate a PDF of my resume.

I have a hatred for subscription models, please allow a once off purchase for access to photoshop, even without the CC, I just want the ability to use photoshop without paying > $180 every single year.

I would love to have more options added to photoshop on the iPad. Curves being a huge one. I'd also like the ability to add other adjustment layers like in the desktop version.
