Hi all, quick question: I need to create a landscape fixed layout epub/ebook but I'm struggling to finalize a "standard size" for width and height that can work generally well across most tablets and devices. For added context, I'm trying to take an indesign file for a paperback physical book design (a very visual photo/art book with 160+ full page spreads) and recreate it as a landscape fixed layout epub (landscape because the full page spreads won't display as aesthetically in portrait). When I asked chatgpt about universal compatibility (for landscape-specific epub orientation) across Amazon KDP, Apple Books, Nook, and others, , it said this:////Landscape format:2560 x 1600 pixels — if you want a wider, more graphic-driven layout (less common for poetry but useful if you have double-page spreads)Key considerations:Apple Books: They recommend 2048 x 2732 pixels for iPads, but will downscale for smaller devices.Amazon KDP: Suggests a minimum of 1200 x 1800 pixels but support

Hi All I am having a peristent issue with Indesign and sometimes Illustrator in that graphics don't display correctly or (particularly with InDesign) if I change the colour profile of a document (CMYK to RGB) it will not display the correct colours.I get big red blocks of colour in place of images, phantom deleted assets apeparing in preview mode and then disapering in normal view and other gerneral glitchy things going on. I have attached the preferences for my InDesign and my mac spec in the files section of this chat. I would really appreciate your help/opinion as my Mac Studio is only a year old and should (I think) be able to handle this with ease!!

It would have been a nice  feature: replacing a color.But I had to do this by handy. ID – latest version on Windows – crashes each time. Aber hitting "change all" the blank window titled "Adobe InDesign" appears. Then nothing happens for some seconds – and the ugly error message appears.

Hello!I did my book design recently and now I'm working on a reflowable epub (e-reader kindle) version of it, however I'm having troubles with space between my paragraphs. I have a few music quotes between my texts, but when I export they keep having this weird giant spacing between the quote lines and when I try to set the space before them smaller, they get really close to the text before them... 1st image is how is turning out in InDesign (and how I wanted to look like) and the 2nd image is how is turning out after exporting with EPUB 3. Does anyone know how can I change this?

I'm saving a pdf with hyperlinks and buttons on images from a contents page in order to take you to the feature.When I save the pdf as interactive it says the buttons will not work. Please help!

Hello,I'm having problems with Arabic fonts in the current InDesign version. I have many Arabic documents created in Indesign CS4 ME (Middle East edition), and all of them work correctly.However, when I open these documents in Indesign 2024 with Arabic language capabilities, all the Arabic characters are displayed as squares although I'm using the same font. I cannot find any setting that would help with resolving this problem. I will really appreciate your support.

Ma page 1 est seule à droite, puis dans une planche double 2 à gauche et 3 à droite, puis 4 a gauche et 5 à droite. Comment ramener 28 à gauche de 1, puis inverser 2 et 3 pour préparer une impression recto verso chez moi et non à l imprimerie.Merci de votre réponse!

The most annoying thing in the world for me is that indesign does not have GPU enabled animated zoom. I see all my fellow students with Macs using their track pads to navigate their indesign docs effortlessly without a mouse at all and I barely can get zoom into the percent I want with a mouse. This is crazy and needs to be fixed, i cant be the only one who finds this infuriating. Even illustrator has had this for forever.... Equality for windows and mac!!

Liebe Community Ich benötige ein Inhaltsverzeichnis, bei dem die Zahlen vor den Einträgen erscheinen. Die Zahlen sollen dabei rechtsbündig und der Text linksbündig dargestellt werden. Gibt es eine elegante Möglichkeit, dies umzusetzen? Eine mögliche Lösung wäre, einen Tabulator vor der Seitenzahl einzufügen. Allerdings kann ich im Inhaltsverzeichnis-Fenster nur Elemente zwischen dem Eintrag und der Seitenzahl einfügen, nicht jedoch davor. Hat jemand eine Idee, wie sich das anders realisieren lässt?  Vielen lieben Dank im Voraus!

Bonjour la communauté !J'ai un bloc de texte, avec deux colonne, ou se trouve à l'intérieur un tableau.Je souhaite que mon nombre de ligne soit réparti entre les deux colonnes, j'ai donc appliqué "équilibre des colonnes" dans les options du bloc de texte.-> voila ce que cela me donne (1re image) :  dans un bloc + grand que le nombre de lignes, j'ai un décalage de deux lignes, alors qu'elles devraient être alignés normalement.? Je vois (cf 2eme image) un petit décalage en haut de mon bloc, cela vient-il de la ? D'ou vient ce petit décalage ? 

Quick Version: Hi, I'm looking for a way to list which fonts are used by which paragraph/character styles. (Sure, I can just edit each of the paragraph definitions one-by-one and look. True.) The long-winded version: I'm working with an extensive template (i.e. lots of styles) that I've cobbled together over several years. I'm using this template in several documents, each of which has several chapters. Not all of the paragraph definitions are hierarchical (that is, some are "based on" another style and some are not, so I can't make the change in one place and have it ripple through; where that works, it does work, though). There are some styles that are not used at all in the current book(s), but they are there in the template, nonetheless, for when I may need them. I need to check them, too. One of the fonts I have been using has been obsoleted by Adobe and replaced by another with the same name. ¿Cómo exporto sólo una página? El cuadro de exportación muestra en gris "Selección", opción que imagino podría ser para aplicar la exportación página actual...En "Rango", al colocar la página 10 - que quiero exportar - al aparecer el siguiente diálogo, la sustituye por la página 01, en todo caso, debería ser por la 10, pero en la carpeta de almacenaje adicioné una x a la página 10, para evitar un diálogo como ese.Ya había exportado sólo una página mediante esa opción y sí funcionó, coloqué en "Rango" la página 1 y exportó la 1, no sé porque con la página 10 no funciona igual...¿Cuál es la forma correcta para exportar sólo una página? Y para exportar una selección, ¿en "Rango" separo con una coma y un espacio las páginas a exportar? Gracias.                                         &nbs

Hey, I need help to merge an illustrator magazin (16 slides) to an indesign data. I copy & pasted it directly and it works well on the data in indesign but when i export it to an pdf it is completly white.Can anyone help?

Hello! I made a page in InDesign with document dimentions 11x8.5. I now need that printed on 17x11. Is there a way I can create the pdf with the size of 17x11? I know that I can Export as a pdf and then in Adobe Acrobat play around with the settings to print it on a larger scale; however, I am not the one that will print it and I'd prefer to have the pdf already set up with the right size. Thank you!

Hi, does anyoe know if its possible to Auto find and relink missing files in my document from creative cloud libraries instead of scrolling and searching? The most frustrating thing. Let me know if anyone has any solutions. Thanks in advance

Hello! So I am printing a book that I made in InDesign and the printers requested I send them the book in the PDF/A-1 (ISO 19005-1) standard. However when I try to go to Export Book to PDF, the only standards are the X standards. So I export to PDF/X-1a and open the exported file in Adobe Acrobat. I go to Use Print Production > Preflight > Standards > PDF/A. However I get two errors in my report   I don't know what either of these errors mean and I could not find more information online. I would like to know either if there is a way to export directly to PDF/A in InDesign or if not what these two errors mean and how I can fix them. Thanks!

I'm using InDesign to master PDFs for a work of reference that takes the form of thousands of entries with their headwords in alphabetical order.To avoid lengthy scrolling when adding a new entry, I've temporarily split the content across four documents named A-D, E-K, L-R and S-Z. Each of them was created with a large number of empty pages, read to receive the text.Everything works as it should, except when the content exceeds the template's text depth of the last working page of any of the documents. That presents a red + warning sign. When it's double clicked, the cursor changes to a mini text marker, which has to be moved to the top of the following empty page's text area. Again double clicking pastes in the overflow matterial.As I'm having to do that an awful lot, I wonder whether it's possible to configure Preferences or in some other way automate that procedure, so I don't have to repeat it manually every time. Hi. Since a few Photoshop and InDesign versions, our CEP extensions are not compatible. We probably need to update the version numbers in the source code and recompile the extensions to make them compatible with the latest versions of InDesign and Photoshop. Can anybody help me with this?

I'm trying to place some book interior text from a MS Word Document into InDesign CC but whenever I do these black lines appear. They aren't visible in the MS Word document itself but even when I clear the formatting they still appear when placed in InDesign. I can't seem to get rid of them! Any ideas? Screenshot below:

Can someone please enlighten me - how objects should be Anchored - in order to get correct order in the TOC?   Those are groups anchored in the Text:     And TOC:   Only if I'll move 2nd group to the right - TOC is generated correctly?         Why TOC is updated/generated top-to-bottom - in columns - not left-to-right - rows?   It's a one text column document?     Even if I'll convert those groups from Anchored to InLined:     TOC is still wrong?
