Hi, I'm having a problem with InDesign fonts currently and I can't seem to find a fix.FYI I have tried filling the Fonts folder in C:Program Files>Common Files>Adobe but to no avail, problem still persists. > Installed font is working and showing in the fonts menu> InDesign randomly says the font is missing after closing then reopening the file (even with 5mins apart and without having closed the software or rebooted my pc), which makes me fight with the font replacement tool to replace the missing fonts (sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't)> When exporting to PDF I get an error saying that a font is missing even though preflight is clear of errorsPreflight status: When I export: When I ignore the alert and export anyway, random textboxes get turned into a default system font, which is hard to spot in a document loaded with text and pages. Also, where I work we're using an InDesign/InCopy workflow, the same issue persists on InCopy also (but I tol

My basic paragraph has the Garamond 11 font.Suddenly the value has changed to 11(9.45)  in the window above and in the text, although both the paragraph style and the character style are still Garamond 11.What does this mean and how can I change it. All percentages seem to be 100%.I hope you can help me.MTIAMarlene 

My breif graphic design training taught me that you should not have single or double words at the end of paragraphs.  What is the "right" way to prevent these within a text box? If I have consistent text formatting throughout a document, I don't want to stretch the text boxes in inconsistent ways.  Hard return after the third last word in the sentence prior?Increase the kearning settings?Some other fancy indesign setting? Thanks!

Depuis un mois, mes fichiers téléchargés depuis le cloud ou la dropbox sont corrompus. Quand je les ouvre dans indesign, il ne reconnait plus les liens, je suis obligée de les réimporter un à un. Il m'indique : "Erreur de lecture du fichier Photoshop. Celui-ci est peut-être endommagé ou incompatible. Enregistrez le fichier avec des paramètres différents, puis réessayez. Tous les liens". Cf pj. Ma collègue n'a aucun soucis avec les mêmes fichiers. Auriez-vosu une idée.? Merci.

I have a book with several chapters starting with even page, in book panel the numbers are correct after automatic numbering but when I enter the chapter document the number on pages are wrong, they are continued from previous document but on even pages there are odd numbers!!!The bug is in newest version of indesign, updated yesterday.

I have created a file in InDesign 20.1 and packaged it. I then tried to open the file in the package and it said that I couldnt open it because it had been created in a later version ... InDesign 20.1! Can someone help with this issue? It wouldn convert, and Learn More wouldnt open!!!

Hello,I need some advice. We recently set up InDesign Server CS6 (version 8.0), and the activation was successful during installation. However, we encountered an issue when trying to run instances of InDesign Server CS6, as an error message appears stating: "Adobe InDesign Server is not properly licensed."We have a perpetual license, which allows activation on two devices. The issue began after our server experienced a disk failure. We restored the server using a backup recovery file, maintaining the same IP and MAC address. However, after recovery, when we attempt to run the instance, it reports that it is not properly licensed.We attempted to re-serialize it using the command line, but it did not resolve the issue. adobe_prtk --tool=Serialize --leid=InDesignServer-CS6-Win-GM --serial=1122-0000-1687-0000-6120-0000 --adobeid=test@test.com.my  (with correct serial key n email) Is there anyone can advise me on how to fix this?Than you.

I'm not completely opposed to generative AI (won't get into my opinion on it personally), but Adobe really needs to stop shoving these half-baked features in our faces. Why on earth, while editing a text document on InDesign, would I need to see a pop-up suggesting "text-to-image" AI features? It's literally blocking what I'm working on and I have to close the dialogue.

Our team is reporting problems with trying to perform a data merge with the latest version of InDesign. We have just one record in the .csv file. When we select "Create Merged Document" nothing seems to happen. This happens on both Mac and Windows systems. We've tried trashing preferences, but that is ineffective. Any workarounds? Hi, In Screenshot 1, there is a  vertical apostrophe (green arrow).In Screenshot 2, there is a skewed apostrophe (green arrow). I opened Id file in Screenshot 3.The first green box has &apos and the second one not. Where does the differnce come from? I typed the same key on the keyboard in Screenshot 4. Hosun

I've had an issue with right-justified tabs in multiple documents where they behave like a right indent is applied to the paragraph. Adding a Right Indent Tab seems to clear the issue in the style.        

I have single pages with no spreads and when i try to export certain pages only i dont see an option to do so. The only option is "all pages". Any idea why?

It's been a while since this happened – a month – but now having the pasteboard on 1 page of ~400 suddenly extend out one side. I immediately stopped work and IDML'd it. It did not change. Now will delete this one page and replace/reconstruct the page, and perhaps avoid using the pasteboard for idea collection going forward. But this is bizarre and problematic.And @Robert at ID-Tasker, could your tool help identify the potential source of this issue?

I am placing a multi page file, so I created a text frame on each A-Parent page, and then flowed my text, clicking on the first page with the Shift key. This created enough pages, and put my text on eacg page. But it seems to have also created a text frame on each page, instead of flowing it into the Parent text frames. This means I have no way of adjusting all the frames at once; when I adjust the parent page frames it has no effect on the lowed text. Is there something I am not understanding?

I'm correcting a large ID 19 file over some days, and checked regularly that each day's corrections were saved safely. Today, all saved text from all  the days' corrections in the file has diappeared.  Is a saved version hidding somewhere?Help.

I know scripting is very powerful. But for folks like me who don't understand it, I'm wondering if there's a way to create a simple macro - either in Indesign or with a third-party app - that would perform simple actions.I am laying out a book where imported text has codes for formatting. I have few corrupt indd files. How do I convert it to idml ?
