Hallo zusammen,für gewöhnlich finde ich bei meinen Recherchen immer die Lösungen die ich brauche, dieses Mal aber nicht, daher wende ich mich verzweifelt ans Forum: Immer wenn ich aus InDesign die Datei als EPUB 2 exportiere taucht folgende Fehlermeldung auf: "Externer Textanker nicht gefunden: 3Textanker in "Pfad zu einer alten Dateiversion" fehlt: 3" In der vorherigen Datei war es die 5 bei der dieser Fehler auftauchte. Nachdem ich alles zig mal geprüft hatte, habe ich den Inhalt in eine neue Datei importiert und erhalte nun den Fehler bei Textanker 3.Die vier anderen Anker rufen keine Fehlermeldung hervor. Alle Anker sind gleich eingestellt (mit Ausnahme, dass eben jeder ein anderes Quellziel hat). Die Ziele habe ich überprüft, das Inhaltsverzeichnis aktualisiert, Index gibt es nicht, den Anker komplett gelöscht und neu erstellt, aber es bleibt immer bei der Fehlermeldung. Bei der Überprüfung in "Bücher" (Mac) und "Adobe Digital Editions 4.5" funktioniert die Verlinkung.&n

Hola, alguien me podría decir por qué no soy capaz de ver mis gifs animados en indesign? exposto como pdf interactivo y no se visualizan. Y por otro lado, las animaciones se pueden ver sin flash o sigue sujeto a esta premisa? Gracias

This feels like the buggiest thing.The endnotes display correctly in my file. But, when I export to PDF, the first line of the endnote disappears IF the paragraph contains Hebrew (so, mixed languages, and use of World-Ready Paragraph Composer set in the Paragraph Style). (Endnote 14 also contains Hebrew... it's just on the next page). If the all-English paragraph has World-Ready Paragraph Composer applied to it, when exported, the first line ALSO disappears in the PDF. The only one that will continue to export to PDF properly, even if World-Ready Paragraph Composer is applied, is a short one-line (like this one, Endnote 16). And no, if left aligned is applied (changed from full- or left-justify) to the above problematic paragraphs, it doesn't help either.   ***In case this additional hint help you InDesign geniuses out there:Hebrew text reads right-to-left, while English, of course is left-to-right. *** View in PDFThis seems to be an issue ONLY in the endn

Recently had to use InDesign 2025 on a fairly large brochure document. Spell checker would work as long as all the text was on the page you were showing on the screen but as soon as it had to jump to a new page in the same document - it crashed. Not sure what the work-around is for this but I often work on multi-page documents so this is an important feature.

When I try to resize a text box the double click to the text frame fits eatactly the text that is inside is not working anymore, does anyone know what can for work again?  Any help is appreciated. 🙂   Thanks!   {Renamed by MOD}

Dear Adobe InDesign Team,I would like to request the addition of a feature that allows text alignment for interactive forms to be managed directly within InDesign, rather than having to perform this task in Adobe Acrobat.Currently, our workflow involves creating datasheets with centered ordering codes, which are frequently updated. Each update requires redoing the text alignment in Acrobat, adding unnecessary steps to our process. This is both time-consuming and frustrating, especially for what should be a simple text alignment adjustment.Having this feature integrated into InDesign would greatly improve efficiency and streamline the creation of interactive forms, saving significant time and effort for teams managing similar projects.Thank you for considering this suggestion.Best regards

Hello! I'm working as a PM in a graphic design company. We're designing mostly reports. Our designers works on InDesign and create Share for Review(SfR) links. They are publicy available links. And I share it with our clients. Clients make comment and designers apply those comments in InDesign. As a PM, I need to monitor the commenting and resolving process in the SfR links. However, sometimes when I click the SfR link, it directs me to cloud files. I cannot see the link. What might be the reason and solution to my problem?As a note, my designer colleague prepare the InDesign link directly from his/her Adobe account and I see the links from another Adobe account. Thank you for your help!

I'm working on a large catalog with over 200 pages. What are the best practices to keep the file manageable and avoid crashes? Any tips on splitting the document or optimizing performance? 

Whenever I export my advert in - ISO Coated v2 300% (ECI) - my images look really dark, if the image is black or has dark shadows, the picture looks dark when printed - how can I resolve this?

I think my Preferences and Workspaces from CC2024 were held but the Policies that were all ON before (I checked) were all OFF at first use. This has happened for me before, but worth checking. Hopefully someone will be helped.   <Title renamed by MOD>

Anyone with the slightest clue what I am doing wrong here? I have a InDesign file I am trying to export to a PDF, but it is not working. (I have a screen shot that would make this explaination so much easier, but it won't load) The file is an A3 a background image, some text and 7 PDF images. 4 of the PDF images am I able to place and export to PDF, but as  soon as I try to add the remainding 3 (or just one of the 3) the file won't export as PDF. All the PDFs are made at the same time, with the same technique (AI files saved as PDFs). The PDF images were orgiginally created in CS4 and CS5, but I ahev edited them in CS6 an saved them after that. I have tried turning my mac (OS Lion) on and of again. I have tried quitting InDesign. I have tried force quitting InDesign. I have tried about every solution I can find online (that I understand), but it just does not seem to work. What am I doing wrong??The errors occurring are: - "Out of memory"- "Unable to display PDF image on tha page"

Hallo, ist es möglich, eine proportionale Skalieren von Objekten ohne die Verwendung der Shift-Taste einzustellen? Also standardmäßig immer Proportional und mit Shift unproportional? Genau anders rum, als es standardmäßig ist? Hi, is it possible to set proportional scaling of objects in Adobe InDesign without using the Shift key? Hi. I have Indesign 2025 20.0.0 with russian interface on macOS Sequoia.If I try to import Adobe PDF styles from file that contains cyrillic symbols in names (not path) then error happened and style doesn't import.if I rename file to name without cyrillic symbols and only latin, numbers and so on (but path may contain cyrillic symbols) then no error and style imported successfully.But that is not all. In the Adobe PDF styles list in Indesign there is a problem too.If I rename style to name with cyrillic (after import or just created) then if I close file or Indesign those renamed styles dissapear from list. But if style name contains only latin, numbers and so on then they remains in list.In Indesign 2024 installed in parallel on that Mac all normal and I have no those issues - nor with filenames nor with preset names in preset list.Is this a bug or a feature?

This has been happening off and on for months, I haven't been able to find any other mentions of it on forums, but another designer I work with has also expereienced this. If this is a new "function" it's not helpful and I would like to know how to prevent it from happening: If I select multiple objects in an Indesign document (for example: a vector icon, a type box, and a rectangle shape) and copy/paste them into another Indesign page, the objects MERGE into one graphic! All of the separate elements become one element within in a content box. This new "flattened" graphic can't be opened or edited - I tried to right-click it but the popup menu does not recognize the graphic as something that could be opened in Photoshop etc. It doesn't matter if the elements are grouped or if it's just multiple objects selected, the result is the same: it becomes a single uneditable graphic. The Undo command does not undo the merge, so I have to delete the new "flat" image and repaste the elements

Hello there, I have taken over a project containing more than 1000 text blocks that were created with a 90-degree angle. As a result, to navigate through the text, I have to use the up and down arrow keys instead of left and right. I would like to modify the block’s angle without changing the text orientation so that I can navigate using the left and right keys. Is this possible?

Hi everybody 🙂 I've recently started using my adobe suite under Windows 11 and been experiencing issues with the alt key. This is happening apparently in every program but, as an example in inDesign, when clicking the panel options in Paragraph Styles and holding the alt key as modifier the menu closes after a second. Thanks in advance

I have two text frames, both in the SAME paragraph and character style, with no style overrides (according to InDesign). However, one of them has some weird Japanese formatting options applied to it, making it right-aligned, rotated, and slightly smaller: I'm aware there's a Japanese version of InDesign, but I have no idea how Japanese formatting works, so it doesn't seem useful to me. Using it shouldn't be necessary, anyway: the desired style is in the same document. How can I make the "Japanese" text frame look like the "normal" text frame? 

Hi,I'm new to InDesign and started working on a project last week. However, today my files seem to constantly crash. I didn't have this issue last week. Is there a reason or a fix for this? Thank you for any help!

My laptop had limited space earlier. So I was using an external SSD drive (labeled as G drive) for a lot of my InDesign projects. Hence I had lots of folders and the jpegs were located like this. G:\BOOKS\ConstructionWorks\COVER DESIGN\SKETCHES FOR COVER\IMG_20170412_1276.jpg Now I have shifted the folders named 'BOOKS' to the "D:\WORK\" in my laptop as I upgraded my laptop's storage with a new larger SSD installed. So now the updated link of the jpg file has become this. D:\WORK\BOOKS\ConstructionWorks\COVER DESIGN\SKETCHES FOR COVER\IMG_20170412_105643_1498303133378.jpg   There are many such jpeg links which are now belonging to my internal SSD of the laptop. For example. For InteriorResearch.indd file located in G:\BOOKS\InteriorResearch earlier. One of the linked file was... Si indépendant, alors ouverture de la question suivante = un texte doit apparaîre ("entrez votre numéro de tva :") et le champ texte à remplir.J'arrive à faire apparaitre le champ texte à remplir mais je ne trouve pas de solution pour le texte dur...Auriez-vous une idée ? Hi! The document works when I publish online but doesn't work when I export it as interactive pdf. I made an interactive pdf with Indesign, before creating the table of content the button of "home" in every page worked but after I created the table the buttons stop working.  Thanks for the help.

I have exported in Coated Froga 39L VIGC it looked extra bright but when printed the contrast looked extreme - how can I resolve this?
