Hi Community, Someone help me link the TOC numbers to the corresponding set page. Usually, in our process we will have a PDF with different set pages(like Set 1, 2, 3....) attached and also will have the TOC(set numbers) for the same sets, we manually link each set number in the Table of Contents (TOC). Since the set numbers in the TOC can appear on multiple pages, each occurrence must be linked individually. Numbers in the above TOC are set numbers, we will have the set pages in the same PDF, and we have to link each set number manually.I want any script that can link them automatically or any feature that helps to create the link.

Hi there, Essentially my epub interactivity preview window, media palette, and publish online window freeze/show up only gray/unresponsive. I've seen others have the same issue some outlined here here and here. I tried to follow some of the steps in the replies to previous posts, specifically deleting/renaming some folders but those folders do not exist within my Library > Adobe folders (images below). The only fix that ~sometimes~ works (not always) is a complete restart - it has to be done multiple times. Deleting preferences helps short term, but the issue always arises again after a few previews. I also have uninstalled Indesign more times than I can count and again, eventually the issue comes back. It's not the file, because it has happened with different projects and some of my work colleagues have had the same issue as well and as stated, others within this forum have had the same problem. Hello,  I am trying to activate adobe design std cs6 but it does not work. I've deactivated CS6 on another computer so i know that we have atleast one spare license. When trying to activate one of the licensen i get error message saying that all licenses is already in use, which is understandable.  The other two license i have says " The serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found for the computer".  I have 3 license keys for adobe design std cs6. All help is appriciated.   

I have a database hosted on google workspace. I was hoping to use teh data there to generate PDFs for me - basically catalogs. I looked around and was shocked at how little support there is for google drive from indesign and almost every plugin available. Only solution i found was easy catalog which I'm trying now. However, my database has thumbnail images and easy catalog can not interact with them. Since I have a pretty structured image filenaming, I figured I could use an indesign script to just populate the catalog with teh full size images.I think I ahve it mostly sorted, however the script is hitting a roadblock at partial matching. I often need to apply a Master Page on several pages among some other pages. I know I can Alt-Click the Master to apply it on selected layers quickly. I would like it to work the other way around too – clicking the Page to apply the selected Master. Is that possible?   {Renamed by MOD}  

I have several instances in a complex document that is published in both PDF and print format, where there is a reference to a drawing on a different page. "See closeup on Page 44" being a typical example, appearing on P. 43 or elsewhere. I have created a text anchor within the closeup, and the hyperlink to the text box works OK, but I would like to be able to zoom in directly to the entire closeup rather than the whole page.I mean it's functional the way it is, but ideally I'd like the PDF viewer to increase the zoom level to show the entire frame of the closeup rather than the whole page.   <TItle renamed by moderator>

Hi all, I'm using a template for a document that's A3 into DL and where it says this way facing up and the arrow is down, do I design that part of the doc upside down? Also if someone could explain how this would be folded that would be very helpful 🙂 Pic attached for reference. I'm very new to indesign and I would really appreciate the help!! Hello, there.I'm performing a GREP find in a document and want to collect the contents and parentPage.name of each found text. But, some of them are in text frames placed in pasteboard. And, of course, the script is stopping with an error. Then I put it inside a try/catch and running from InDesign, it's OK. But running from ESTK the error is stopping the script. For some reason I cannot open my Indd file anymore. When I tried opening it it says it "Could not complete your request because of a database error. The file  "....indd" is damaged(Error code: 6)   I tried changing the file handling options I tried uninstall and reinstall both the old and new ver. of indesign but still couldn't open the file I tried exporting the file to IDML but it also crashed    Im not sure what can do anymore Much appreciated if anyone can help, Thanks     <Title renamed by moderator>

 I was previously using InDesign in split monitor mode to type out some copy, and ever since then, no matter how much I resize the window, when I exit from presentation mode, the window automatically goes back to the split monitor resolution. Technically, it's not causing any problems, it's just really annoying, so if anyone can help, that be great. I'm running on CC 2024 and macOS Sonoma 14.5.

Hello Everyone.When I updated InDesign a few months ago, my ID icons went white. This has happened before and I could always figure out a solution, but nothing worked this time. (uninstalling/reinstalling, changing the default app) I figured it wasn't that big a deal as I was getting a new computer soon. Today I got it. There were no Adobe Apps on it when IT gave it to me. The icons are still white. Help. I've completely uninstalled ID again, tried installing an older version. Nothing is working. Everything still opens. But it is just so very annoying.Thanks for any advice.

When i start opening the app (i tried with Indesign and Photoshop), it starts to load, but then freezes and after some short time the whole screen turns black. Everything on the screen turns black. I had to force restart the computer, or it would just not open the app. I updated the drivers, and its still the same. The only app that didnt crash when i started it was photoshop v22.2. Did someone had something similar happening?*note: i cant open the app at all.I use windows 11, have the latest updates of apps and drivers.   <Title renamed by moderator>

Hello, When opening a file I get this error asking me to upgrade "EbookExport.InDesignPlugin" to it's latest version version. I can't find whatever this is the plugins pannel, nor do I remember installing it in the first place. This happened when using different system in an office. Was fine on the home system. Both systems are with up-to-date versions of InDesign. Both Mac sylicon. Fairly urgent matter so any input would be greatly apreciated. Thank you, please help! 

For the god sake, can i just re-asign the zoom in Indesign ? Because every normal people and software in the world uses ctrl+scroll instead of alt+scroll for dynamic zoom. Thanks.

Alright so i short, i need to make a tiny book and i want in to be laying horozontally, and i want the book to open from the longest side (so the top or bottom) to do this i make the pages be in protraid mode and then in the document it self i fliped the 90 degrees, but in doing that i didnt flip the base guidline. is there a way to do this so the baseline isnt horizonal (when i didnt flip the pages) but vertical so when i flip the pages it lays horizontal? please i need help fast!   <Title renamed by moderator>

Bonjour,  Depuis peu j'ai des soucis lors de l'export de mes PDF pour impression, que ce soit à partir d'Indesign ou d'illustrator. Je travaille sur des visuels de grande taille (par exemple 2000x3000mm).Pour éviter que les fichiers ne soit trop lourds je me mets à l'échelle 1/10eme et j'exporte également au 10eme (ici 200x300mm). Quand j'imprime ces fichiers en taille réelle (à partir du PDF au 10e donc), je n'ai normalement pas de soucis et les images sont de très bonne qualité. Mais récemment (j'ai l'impression que c'est depuis la dernière mise à jour) cela ne fonctionne plus et les images sortent pixellisées (pas de problème sur les vecteurs).Je n'ai rien changé à mes paramètres, j'ai fait l'essai avec d'anciens fichiers sans rien modifier : l'ancien PDF est ok, le nouveau est pixellisé. Ma colègue a le même soucis que moi et nous ne comprenons pas. Y a t'il quelque chose qui a changé dans les paramètres d'export que nous n'avons pas vu?  Merci d'avanc

Hello All,Since version 16.4, my InDesign has been freezing when it launches.  The initial launcher will load but when InDesign opens the entire application freezes and I have to force quit it.  I've tried clearing the preferences on startup, rolling back to version 16.4 and 17.0, updating Windows 10, updating all drivers on my computer, uninstalling and re-installing InDesign, and uninstalling and clearing the cache files for InDesign then re-installing. I have yet to get InDesign working - but all other Adobe apps work fine on my pc, any help will be appreciated! Thank you! 

Dear Adobe,                   Adobe Indesign CC 2024 (V 19.2) is slow in operation or hangs itself (spinning wheel) without the access of internet in Apple M2, Ultra 64 GB RAM workstation. The performance is at its best with internet access.Kindly give the suggestion, if the internet access is a must for the application's performance. If not suggest the available remidies. 

I have set my account to download the middle eastern version of indesign but the ME type tool doesn't appear? 

When making a pargraph style, I would like to extend my underlining beyond the text. Not across the entire page, but to a certain amount of space for a nice effect. How can I set this up so I do not have to manually go through my sections and hit the space bar after the desired text?  Instead, I would like to add it to the paragrpah style I am using for that text.  Thank you!    Also, I was very happy with the training from the Adobe NJ InDesign Group recently, how can I find other resources like this or joint this group fully if anyone knows? Is there a way to open multiple documents under 1 tab? I am not looking to combine tabs or create a book. For context, I place text ads onto a template. Some papers have over 100 ads and having to copy, close, and paste them onto the template becomes very tedious. Please help! This would save a lot of time! Hi, I'm trying to export my pages base on a text box of my file: its a document of multiple cerifications so every page has the name of each person that participated. I'm trying to automaticize the process of exportation to have a pdf of every page with the name of the person based on the text box that has it written. I tagged each box with "nombreDestinatario" but it doesn't work. Comment gérer les polices dans indesign (dernière version) sous mac os 12.7.6 ?j'ai une liste d'une longueur effrayante et je voudrais la simplifier au minimum.Comment faire ?Elles ne sont pas dans le livre des polices. je n'ai que quelques polices adobe installées.Je ne sais pas d'où elles proviennent : par exemple noto.Depuis que les polices type 1 ne sont plus reconnues, c'est pénible.
