Lightroom Classic

Hi Guys, On my desktop (W11) I have installed Lightroom.On my newly bought laptop (W11) I also installed Lightroom.We save and edit all our photos on the laptop.I want to edit the photos als on my desktop. In my opinion the solution msut be a seperate SSD with enough room for years to come. Which steps should I follow to so this transfer successfully? If possibel answers in Dutch please. KInd regards,   Willem

When I import photos into Lightroom, some of the images show up blank.

I use two monitors - my main monitor for loupe/develop, and second monitor for grid. In loupe I can click through my folders and the second monitor shows the images of that folder in a grid (as it should). However if I click 'all photographs' in the Catalog tab the two monitors switch, showing grid on the main and loupe on second! Is there any way to lock the second monitor to grid, so it is always, always grid! 😄

Version of the app: LrC 14.5.1   Platform and OS version: Windows 11 24H2 x64   Basic steps to reproduce the problem: When using the AI denoise sometimes it does not apply or does not consider the already done desonise. It got to the point where I was not able to tell if denoise was actually applied without manual one-by-one inspection of each picture. From what I understood it seems to happen if I apply ai denoise on some pictures, then if i synchronize the settings with the ai denoise aswell including both already denoised and non denoised pictures. It already starts wrong since if the selected pictures has a different denoise strenght applied it does recompute the ai denose from scratch instead of just synching the value but it looks like sometimes it does recompute it but also does not apply it even if it looks checked on the develop panel. Moving the slider manually or setting the value sometimes fixed it but most of time it didn't and sometimes the slider did not move a

This is a former issue. As professional photographers we need to create several versions for our images and be able to see them between our catalog.  The problem is that the export is so fast, but the adding of the now new images is a dread. It makes impossible to operate lightroom until the process is done.  Imagine waiting 3 secs per image after a wedding export with 1000 images.  That's 3000 seconds,  50 MIN...   It brings the whole efficiency to halt.  please help this a problem that had been reported before but adobe doens't seem to offer a solution.   

I just updated to LR Classic 12.2 and now my panoramic output is terrible, blown out skies, color all over the place, file looks almost corrupted, I have never seen this before. This was from DNG files from a usual camera on a new MacBook Pro 16" with the M2Max processor, 96GB of ram running Ventura 13.2.1.  Even if I pre-process the files to jpeg and then try to stitch, it just looks terrible like the color / tone match algorithm is out of whack. 

I have the latest version of lightroom classic on my Mac mini with the latest version of Tahoe 26. If I export a .MOV file it plays just fine, but when I'm in the Library section movies will not play. Also, the tool bar at the top is acting weird. Hi.  I am very confused as to what is happening with Lightroom.  I'm not getting any help from Adobe 'Chat' I just received an email stating any content on the cloud would be deleted in 14 days unless I purchase a plan including cloud storage.First question is - how do I know what is stored on the cloud?  I don't remember putting anything on the cloud.Secondly, I already have a plan that includes cloud storage. - and I pay a monthly subscription, so not expired as far as I know. (Photography Plan with 20GB storage). I have searched my emails and can't find anything explaining all this. I'm not technical - can I please just have some simple answers as to what might be happening, and what I need to do?    Thank you

I can't seem to get my files sorted by filename. For example, I have 100 photos named MAY_1000.NEF through MAY_1100.NEF. For a select few, I run the files through Topaz Denoise, which renames that group MAY_1035-Edit.JPG, etc. When I try to sort the files by name, Lightroom puts the "edit" group at the end of the original files, instead of  adjacent to them. Shouldn't LR sort them like: MAY_1034.NEF, MAY_1035.NEF, MAY_1035-Edit.JPG, MAY_1036.NEF....? In other words, I'd like to sort by the first 8 characters rather than the randomized sort the LR currently does. Thanks,Jeff Hall - North Carolina

MyiMac crashed and I erase eerything so now its like new- I download LrC and open my airport capsule time machine and tried to open it and I got this message: "You can't open the application"Adobe Lightroom Classic" because it is in a Time Machine backup." Anyone has any odea why wont it open? I know its in a Time Machine thats the idea of the Time Machine so I can go an opne it anytime I need it. We have 4 Macs in our studio. Both Macs that are logged into my Creative Cloud account are facing the same issue where the gen ai remove takes very long to load, and after 1 minute or so, it says "Generative remove failed. The service is not responding. Please check your internet and try again."We have 2 other Macs that can run generative remove in Lightroom with no issues. They are signed into different accounts seperately All the Macs in our studio are connected to the same network, so it can't be a firewall issue.  

I have just re-installed Lightroom Classic. Randomly while using the program, my computer freezes.  The screen goes black, the computer is still on, but I can’t use it. The only way I can restart my PC is by reseting the PSU. I have had the same issue in the past with both Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. This is a fresh reinstall ( I hoped that reinstalling would fix the problem). Buongiorno a tutti,da un paio di settimane ho riscontrato un grande rallentamento di LRc, sia all'avvio che durante il flusso di lavoro (risponde in ritardo ai comandi ed è molto scattoso).Il mio pc ha 64gb di Ram, Windows 11 e una scheda grafica da 15gb.Grazie in anticipo a chi mi potrà aiutare

I submitted one like this before but could not find it to make a change. Instructions to export a psdt from to a jpg are shown below. "To export a .psdt file as a .jpg from Lightroom Classic, select the PSDT file in the Library, go to File > Export, then in the dialog box, set the File Settings to JPEG format and adjust the quality, and finally click Export. Lightroom will create a new JPEG file based on your edits, leaving the original .psdt file untouched. " Process:  I open a JPG file in LRc and immediately move it to Photoshop.  Change sky, do some removals and cleanup and then save as a psdt file.  In LRc I run a synchronize to load the psdt file and finish making picture updates.  When done, I export the PSDT file to another directory.  The JPG is created correctly but the PSDT is dropped from the ribbon below and the picture is lost in develop mode.  In the library mode I can see the picture in main screen&

I have tried to import some files (98) from an external drive into an existing Ircat a folder of photos, mostly raw files (.CR2). Withing the sequence stored on the drive are three video's (.mov). All the CR2 files in the sequence before the video files (48) imprted into the Ircat normally. The first of the three videos also imported as normal. The following two video files and all the subsequent CR2 files do not import with an error message that "LrC does not support  this file format." At the end of the sequence a group of 10 jpeg files also imported normally. Elsewhere in the same catalogue there are a number of .mov and CR2 files all of which have imported and function with no issues. Can anyone explain this issue and offer a solution?

Bonjour, Il y a quelques temps j'avais signalé un problème d'export quand les "Contents Credential" sont activés et que le dossiers pour l'export contient des accents.Le problème se reproduit maintenant quand les noms de fichiers définis dans l'export contiennent des accents. Je suis en version 14.4 et sous Windows 11 en Français.CordialementRobert 

1. LR Classic 14.1.12. Tested on Windows 10 and Windows 113. Steps to reproduce : Create a collection, move to slideshow module  Add music mp3 file  Hit "preview" or "play" Slideshow starts with music playing and then music stops before it reaches the end of mp3 and starts over from the beginning of the song - Reproduced for cases when mp3 length is less than slideshow play time, exact match with "Fit to music" option - Same problem when exporting video - in exported mp4 file sound restarts - When switched to version 13.5.1 on the same system (Windows 11) and created slideshow from the same files with same mp3 everything works fine    [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

I'm trying to install Canon Print Studio Pro onto my new laptop and everything I see says to put in the this location: \Users[user]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules, but I don't have a modules folder here. Do I need to create this folder or am I missing something?

My situation is, sometimes i'm on the road so I need to upload photos to my laptop and edit. Other times i'm at home and edit on my desktop (much faster). I need the work flow to transfer back and forth so i sync my collections i create to edit on both computers and the history of the edits trasnfer back and forth via sync.  The problem i'm running into is, I've synced 1 collection from laptop to desktop lrC. I have a bout 5 different collections synced under my From Lightroom tab. For some reason, on this new collection i synced, it replace about 25 photos with photos from another already synced collection. It shows the correct photos in the collection on my laptop, but on the desktop it shows a portion of photos from another collection instead.  Attached are screenshots, you can tell which photos go with what. Same HUGE mess of umpteen folders, but three NEW bizarre problems...  I need a really good answer that'll get this working...I've got a setup now with year folders from 2006 to 2022, holding around 30,000 images.  Now we've get to get all the OTHER folders imported into the years. PROBLEM 1This morning, doing a Synchronize Folders showed X number of images import.  Clicked the show import dialogue and started the sync.  It did the metadata update, then should have opened the import dialogue.  Instead a partial spinning circle where the folders were, that stopped after half a rotation, and the normal “busy” rotating circle for the curso.  Never opened, never finished, just hung.  Crashed LR, retried a couple times.And YEAH, since I KNEW the first thing somebody in here would say was “delete the preferences” I did.  Other than screwing up most things that were configured it did NOTHING. Tried again on a different folder.  Worked FINE

Wenn ich in LR Classic Masken verwende und diese auf ein Bild kopiere und beim Bild dann noch zB etwas ändere mit dem Pinsel, muss ich die Maske immer aktualisieren. Das kann doch nicht sein? Weiss jemand eine Lösung? Mein Workflow zB bei Newbornshootings.Ein Bild bearbeiten inkl. Gesichtsmaske. Alles auf alle anderen Bilder kopieren inkl. Maske.Bei jedem Bild manuell noch kleine Pickelchen wegstempeln und dann kommt immer die Meldung zum aktualisieren der Maske.

Bonjour,Aujourd'hui, j'ai eu un message d'erreur comme quoi le catalogue était corrompu. J'ai essayé d'utiliser un autre catalogue, mais le système s'est bloqué. J'ai un message sur mon écran "Lightroom - Ouverture du catalogue : Lightroom Catalog-2-v14.zip". Au démarrage, l'icone Lr mouline un peu mais cela s'arrête. Quelqu'un pourrait-il me conseiller quoi faire ?MerciJacques

What a waste of time uploading and downloading RAW files!!!  Why doesn't it just sync to the file on your hard drive with the same name in a designated folder???  Who thought that we could click sync and just wait for the files to download?  As professionals we use iPads and computers equally, we aren't just on the mobile 'Creating Content' it's work!Surely as this is one company the Cloud library/folder with it's adjustments could be migrated to Classic and then we relinked the files to those on the hard drive with the same name?  This happens with FCP, even from iMovie!Using an iPad to cull and do basic edit while off-site when on a job is brilliant and you can get clients very quick edits if needed.  Very slow with RAW files and the app needs to be on as it doens't work in the background without a power source!!!   But when it comes to editing them properly on a computer, it's a such a waste of time synching everything up.

Howdy, I face an annoying issue with photomerge (true for HDR and Panorama) since some days.I noticed this in the (as of Septmber 26th 2025) newst version 14.5.1 on windows 11 home.When I do a photo merge (as written regardless if HDR or Panorama) the process behaves weird.The progressbar goes forward until around 90% then steps back and the a second process kicks in "Saving metadata" which seems to be stuck. In this state the processes are stuck:  Terminating the metadata process does not help the other one still is stuck. I can terminate the creation process also and the respective merged image is indeed created. Of course having terminated the processes no stack is created and the created image has no metadata.Oh I tried with autosync on and off.What I tried so far:updating nvidia driversreplaced the catalog with the one I know from my other laptopdowngrading to an older version such as 14.3.1downgrading to the latest 13.x.x version (no success because database no lon
