Hello,I’m using Lightroom Classic on Windows, and I’m encountering a persistent issue in the Develop module:When I select Masking and then choose the Point Color option to modify saturation, hue, or luminance, Lightroom Classic crashes immediately—without any error message—right when I use the Point Color dropper to sample a color. So far, I have tried the following troubleshooting steps, but none have resolved the crash: Lightroom is fully up to date.GPU acceleration disabled in Preferences → Performance.Reset preferences New catalog test, to rule out catalog corruption.Workaround attempts—like creating a different mask before Point Color—did not help (I don’t see any alternative mask options offered). This behavior mirrors a known issue where Lightroom crashes when using Point Color in the masking tool. Some users have shared a partial workaround, such as creating a “background mask” first and then adding another mask before using the dropper, but this doesn’t appl
I recently was on a trip and edited photos on my laptop and now that I am home I wanted to transfer them to my desktop. I have gone to Export as Catalog and when it is about finished I get a notice "Lightroom was not able to export catalog because of an unexpected failure". I have tried this a number of times with different external drives and even cables with no success. Can anyone explain to me what this is about and what I can do to save the work I have done?
MacBook Pro M1 internal SSD 1 TB 16 GB Ram Sequoia 15.5 . After an indefinite period of time, it can happen that the new photo is not displayed when scrolling on, but the previous photo is still displayed instead of the new photo. By scrolling back by 2 photos and scrolling forward again to the new photo, then the error is eliminated. What could be the reason for this error?
Does not work, regardless of how I try. It is exhausting, and doing them one by one takes a significant chunk of my time. Do you have any tips on how to make it work?
HelloI have this strange problem: when editing, clicking on thumbnails sometimes not updating the main picture. I have to click on another thumbnail and then back to the original image that cause the problem to make it available in the big picture. Mouse is Logitech Pro XSuperlight2. The mouse is working normal in all other applications. Thanks
It seems since the latest upgrade when after cropping an image, when you go to crop another image it reverts back to the previous image. It does this for any image you want to crop.I have the latest lightroom classic upgraded.Video drivers are up to date.Use graqphics processor is off. (It is grayed out and states it's due to an error)
Was bedeutet also diese Meldung?
Hello, While editing some photos from a wedding I shot I suddenly wasn't able to click on the mask tool. Also, other controls like the histogram can not be slid (to raise lights or darks for example). I'm no pro wahtsoever so my idea was restarting the program - It didn't help. This is happening on a brand new iMac and a recently downloaded license of Lightroom. Thanks in advance.
This is on a Mac in LR Classic 14.4 but I first noticed it several versions ago.If I use the secondary display window in Survey mode, and try to do anything in the masking panel, I often get a lot of lag and unresponsiveness with the masking controls. If I switch to a different mode such as Loupe or Grid view for the secondary window, this doesn't happen.Even if I close the second window, without switching from survey mode, I still get the lag. If I reopen the second window, change it to loupe view, and then close it again, the masking lag goes away. It's like whatever is causing the lag with the survey window is still happening in the background even though the window is closed.I thought it must be because it's rerendering the previews constantly but it happens even when I am only working on one photo and only in survey mode. When the second window is in loupe view it's also constantly updating the preview but it doesn't lag, even if the single image preview is larger on the screen. So
[moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
Peut-on supprimer les reflets dans les lunettes avec Lightroom sur un Mac?
I am having difficulty reading the panels. My screen is as bright as it goes, and font size is already at 150. However the grey on grey and black, is becoming difficult to read. Can I make the letter white? Can I change the 'skin' of lightroom classic to be brighter? Thank you for your help.Jana

Hi everyone! I have a problem that Lightroom is not exporting PNG's with transparency on some files. My process is usually this, if it might help: I import the RAW files, edit them, then send them trough Lightroom to edit them in Photoshop, making a transparent background. Then I rename the files and and export them in PNG's of 3 different resolutions (low medium and high). The files come out with a white background instead of transparent and I don't know why, it only happens in certain files... The work around I'm doing is exporting the PNG trough Photoshop, importing those PNG to Lightroom to batch export the other medium and low resolutions. Does anyone knows whi this is happening? Thank you in advance!
Hello,After the recent update on 14 August 2025, the review of denoise in LrC has disappeared. Has anyone else experienced the issue, and how can we fix it? I appreciate any help you can provide.
I have a 2019 Mac Pro, i7, 16GB RAM, and I recently noticed through the Mac’s Activity Monitor that it uses very little processing power during export with Lightroom Classic, as you can see in the attached image below. With other tasks, the fan even kicks in, but not with Lr Classic. Is there any way to make better use of the processor? I believe the export could be much faster!Or does anyone know if Lightroom (cloud-based) is faster? Or perhaps Camera Raw via Bridge?
I recently upgraded to lr 14.0.1 and not it won't detect subjects in any photo. PS won't find the subject either. Any ideas?
updated from 14.4 to ver 14.5 upon update i opened lightroom and it reopaired my catalog and now all my photos are gone, went back to 14.4 and still nothing never had this issue running windows 11
Time to upgrade from my 8 GB EVGA 3060 Ti. System is ASUS ROG Strix-E-A and 670e chipset. AMD 7900x CPU and 64 GB Micron RAM.
Updated Lr classic a few mins ago and went my import section to add some new images. While zooming to check for focus issues, my zoom options are all scuffed. It only zooms out now to a smaller scale and will not zoom in as it has for the last 10yrs or so ive used LR, unless i go to the manual zoom slider? Ive checked for a fix online but no results. Any fix to this i may have missed as its hindering my efficiencies and an actual annoyance.
