We have a collection of photos on a LAN server which were imported into LRC. We've been using an external editor to crop those images post-import. It appears that the Synchronize Folder command does not recognize that the image was changed, and does not update the image previews. I found a way around this by renaming the image, synchronizing (which picks up the changes), and then renaming back to original name. Is this expected behaviour for LRC? And, if so, other than the kludge above, is there any way to force-reimport in LRC ?
Hi Adobe,I’m experiencing serious performance issues in Lightroom Classic 14.4, despite using high-end hardware:My Specs:CPU: Intel i7-10700KGPU: NVIDIA RTX 2060 SuperRAM: 64 GB DDR4Drive: Samsung Gen4 NVMe SSDOS: Windows 11 (latest build)Problems:Switching between RAW images takes 3–5 secondsCropping, brushing, masking are very laggyExporting takes significantly longer than in past versionsSame lag even with Smart Previews, optimized catalog, and high cacheI’ve Already Tried:Fresh new catalogRebuilt previewsGPU settings (on/off/custom)Presets/profiles removedSmart Preview editing onlyCache bumped to 50GBLightroom-only background environmentThese issues did not exist in 12.5, which was smooth and fast. I'm currently running Lightroom Classic on an M1 Mac mini with 16 GB of RAM, and I find the the things that cause me to wait for the computer are Lightroom Classic 14.4 computing AI denoise and the Adaptive Color profile. Are there public benchmarks that show how various Apple Silicon chips perform on these operations (e.g. with M1 as 1.0 and something twice the speed as 2.0, etc.)? I'm particularly interested in what kind of performance factor M4 buys compared to M1 and what M4 Pro buys compared to M4. Are these run on the GPU or on the Neural Engine? That is, with the two variants of M4 Pro Mac minis with different numbers of GPU cores but the same number of Neural Engine cores, does the number of GPU cores make a difference?
After watching videos from influencers urging a move to Lightroom, I continue to use Lightroom Classic. At my age I need to do more creative work with the tools I am familiar with. I admit I use both apps - LR Classic on my desktop and LR on my portable devices, but LR Classic is the workhorse. I discovered one thing that further separates the two apps.I have a catalogue in LR Classic with which I can remove unwanted images, but not delete them from the hard drive. When using LR, ALL the images on the disk are availble to view, not good enough for further development, but I don't want to delete them from the hard drive or see them. So, the LR Classic catalogue only contains my "good" photos.Just saying.
My presets look TOTALLY different now with the update. They are super contrasty and warm and even when I reset, or copy and paste from a past image it looks off. Anyone else having this issues? Should I contact the company I purchased the preset from and see if they have an update? I feel like I am going crazy!TOP IS ORIGINAL IMAGE EDITED LAST WEEK, BOTTOM IS EXACT SAME PRESET AFTER UPDATE.
How?????
MacBook Pro M1 internal SSD 1 TB 16 GB Ram Sequoia 15.5 . While working with LRC, i try to uplod other data to my cloud. I noticed that the upload is 128 Mps and as soon as i open LRC the upload goes down to almost 0 Mps. What could be the reason for this?
I had a very strange thing happen. After I imported raw files into one of my folders many of the newly imported images replaced previously imported photos, including the metadata. The older pictures are all gone and overwritten with a newer photo, both in LR as well as on the harddrive. I could literally watch the images change on the computer screen. Can anyone explain, please. Looks like the older files are all lost, but I want to avoid this form happening again.I have attached 2 photos to show the screen before and after this overwrite.

Hi,How do I download images that have already been downloaded once? i deleted them by mistake, I did import them again and the images appeared but when I came to edit the the image could not be found. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi, I need help recovering my Lightroom Classic edits. Here’s everything that happened: I was originally using Lightroom Classic with everything stored on an external SSD (Extreme Pro) — including both my RAW images and my Lightroom catalog. I wanted to move my entire workflow to my Mac’s internal drive, so I wouldn’t be dependent on the SSD. So I created a new folder on my Mac called “Hana Thailand Pics” and copied everything into it. This folder now contains: FOR HANA — my main edited photosLIKE (not EDIT) — unedited photos I moved over manuallycatalog — the Lightroom catalog folder I copied from the SSD (which contains .lrcat and preview files) I then opened that .lrcat catalog from the “catalog” folder on my Mac, thinking that was the correct catalog. Once inside Lightroom, I moved all the photos from LIKE (not EDIT) into FOR HANA manually using Finder. Then, in Lightroom, I deleted the LIKE (not EDIT) folder to reduce clutter. After that, we cli
Since the latest update, 14.4, I am experiencing pauses in Lightroom whenever I browse images in the strip of the develop module. Simply put, when I skip images with the direction arrows to the right, the main viewport (with the current image) does not update itself sometimes as I scroll. This happens randomly but frequently. It will take around 4-5 seconds until the main viewport updates itself with the actual current image. Mac Mini M4 Pro - Sequoia 15.5 (48 Gigs of ram)
I see that Adobe metadata can be compared (where it makes sense). For example, I can create a Smart Collection where the criterion is "Long Edge > 1000" or "Shutter speed < 1/1000". I am writing a pluging that creates custom metadata that is a number. The only data types are string, enumeration, and url. I would love to have a number type, but that is not in the cards. If I have a string-type metadata field that represents a number, how can I get the comparison criterion such as is available with Shutter Speed? Is it that Adobe has secret sauce for its own metadata?
Hello, my nikon d7200 has two memory card slots. Thae camera is configured to store raw files in slot 1 and jpg in slot 2. With the "Nikon Transfer2" app i can select the slot (card) wich is used to transfer the images. The Windows explorer also brings up two devices when connecting the Camera. With Lightroomclassic there seems to be no way to select the camera slot during import dialoge. So Lightroom imports all imgiges twice: one Raw, ans one Jpg. Can lightroom classic select the camea device slot in such way as Windows and the Nikon App does? that would be very helpful! Regardsmikel
I downloaded 1 TB of images using LrC. At the time I only owned 1 external SSD so I could not create a back up. I do wish to place a copy of all the images on another SSD, as a backup.I do not want to transfer the images from the current SSD that the images are stored on, but make a copy of the images onto a different SSD. I do want to be able to access and process the backup images using LrC, should I need to.How do I manage to achieve this using Lightoom Classic for the copying process? Your help, as always, is so very appreicated.
I have an Epson 3880 printer. I use Lightroom CC. I bought a new computer (Windows 11). The printer was previously used on a Windows 10 machine. There is no updated driver from Epson. Thankfully I had kept the installation cd that came with the printer years ago and installed the printer in Windows 11 with it. Now the printer won't recognize printer profiles that I have downloaded from Epson (it did on the Windows 10 machine). The printer Media Type dropdown only shows the papers that are included with the installation disc. All of the profiles are listed in the Color Management section in the Print module in Lightroom. All the icc profiles are in the same folder on the computer. The paper profiles that are missing are for the Legacy papers from Epson. Any help to make the printer dialogue see the profiles would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I have 2000 virtual copies created and selected. In the Library -> Metadata panel I change the Copy name.Normally this would rename all 2000 virtual copies. This always worked. However in Lightroom 14.4 only the most selected virtual copy is rename, the rest is not renamed. I have got Photoshop 23, 24 and 25 on my MAC. When I am in Lightroom and want to edit in Photoshop, using the 'Edit in' button, it takes me to Photoshop 2023. How can I change this so it takes me to the 2025 version? Thanks for any advice
Hi! After losing a hard drive to a spilled cup of coffee (thankfully, not a single file lost), I just upgraded to new M1 MacBook Air with Big Sur 11.1. I have Lightroom Classic version 10.1 installed and working well, except when I backup the catalog to my Synology NAS as I close out of Lightroom, it hangs on the backup at "Copying Catalog". I've let it run for hours and nothing. If I backup to the local SSD everything works great. Lightroom has no issues accessing the NAS for import and access to the original raw files that I keep on the NAS. It does seem to start the backup as the NAS will show the dated folder along with the Catalog.lcat file and lrcat-wal file, but it never zips and completes the process. I found a post that suggested giving Lightroom access to Full Disk, which I've tried, but that didn't seem to make any difference. I've been manually copying the backups to the NAS without issue, but really want this to work
Estoy barado en la versión 14.1.1 de Lightroom Classic, ya que en todas las versiones posteriores el Módulo Mapa no funciona.

I've been working with watermarks on Lightroom Classic., 14.2, Windows 10pro, Version 22H2. I've found that for several fonts the watermark program cuts off the last letter or two of my name; specifically Edwardian Script font and French Script font. Even after shifting the watermark to the left to create more space, I get the same result. When I use the Brush Script font there is not a problem. I haven't found a way to correct it. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hi, I use LR Publish Services to upload images to my website via a program called Backlight. It has worked perfectly for years. Each gallery on my website has its own collection in LR. For some unknown reason, I recently discovered that most or all of the images in most of these Publisher Services collections disappeared. The files are still on my hard drives and still in other LR collections. (I looked at my oldest LR backup, and the problem happened before that, so no luck there.) The integrity check passes and shows no issues. Can anyone here suggest a reason why images would randomly disappear from collections in Publish Services while all other collections remain intact? Thank you!
I have .mov files and .jpg files that have the same file name BUT these files are from different dates, different cameras, obviously one is a movie and one is a picture. I imported my aperature library into LC.Somehow, when LC was importing my photos and videos from Aperature, it has combined any .mov file with the matching named .jpeg file. So if I have a .mov named IMG_6700 and a .jpeg named IMG_6700 it has moved both files into the Lightroom media folder on the OS but in the program all I can see is the .mov file. The .mov file then has a name over the thumbnail that says IMG_6700 MOV + JPEG and in the metadata it says there is a Sidecar File that is a JPG. Also it has applied the capture date information of the jpeg (which is a different date) and applied that to the .mov file. When I try to import the .jpeg file when I select the import folder, LC doesn't even see the .jpg file even though it is there when I go through the OS. If I physically
