When altering a new mask through adding, subtracting or intersecting we should be able to select an existing mask. Often existing masks have multiple addition, subtraction and/or intersection adjustments. If we want to use one of these existing masks it has to be manually recreated in the new mask. In the AI masking of people or (now) landscapes we can subtract any of the generated masks. We should be able to select any existing mask in the list of masks for that file as a pulldown menu.
Feature Suggestion: Please make the Navigator panel update in real-time when toggling Develop panel settings on or off (e.g., hiding aka enabling/disabling Tone Curve, Effects, etc.). Currently, the Navigator only updates after an actual slider adjustment or panel switch. It would improve workflow efficiency if the Navigator preview reflected the current state immediately after toggling a setting.
The Update AI Settings command doesn't alway work correctly when the application of the Adaptive Color profile needs updating ("the red dot"). This affects those who need to delete corrupt .lrcat-data files (which still happens occasionally). To reproduce on LR 14.2 / Mac OS: 1. Download and open this catalog, which has one raw in it: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/r9blhcvehwwi7vw9hyg3t/update-adaptive-bug.2025.02.14.zip?rlkey=y7vm86wc0fivb00o487iy6y7t&dl=0 2. Open the photo in Develop, set Profile to Adaptive Color, and observe the photo is much better exposed: 3. Exit LR and delete <catalog>.lrcat-data from the catalog folder. 4. Restart LR. Observer there is a red dot next to Basic, the Update button appears, and the effective of the profile is no longer visible (as expected): 5. Click the Update button, see the "Analyzing" bezel briefly appear, but observe there is no change to the photo, the Update butt
In LR 14.2, the help window shows the wrong shortcut for Cycle Overlay Mode in Polish: It should be H. W (H, h): 266 Develop Module > Remove > Cycle Overlay ($$$/AgDevelop/Dust/CycleOverlay/Shortcut, $$$/AgDevelop/Menu/View/ToolOverlay/NeverShow/Key)
I have installed the New LRC 14.3 and trying to use the landscape Masking feature. following videos etc when I try to detect landscape I get a error message "No Landscape feature detected" I have tried various photos and nothing.. anyone else having issues? My old laptop died and so I got a new one, installed Lightroom Classic, along with the icc profiles that I use. I installed the printer drivers for my Canon PRO 200 printer. Everything should be the same......but it's not printing like it used to. The colors are less vibrant and the printed image looks more flat overall. This is happening both with Canon papers where I've always let the printer handle the color management, and with Red River papers where I use the correct icc profile. Any ideas what might be the issue?
I would like to request a feature in Lightroom Classic that lets us create a true black and white version of a photo, without any leftover color from color grading, calibration, or curves. Right now, even after clicking the B&W button or using Adobe Monochrome, colors from cruve, color grading still stay in the image. I want an option that removes all color information at the final stage, but keeps the contrast, curves, and look of the edited photo exactly the same. It would make it much easier to create perfect black and white copies without needing to export or use Photoshop.
First thing: this happened in LrClassic, but I can't find how to post it that discussion group.I just merged 5 images for an HDR shot. The merged version has an overlay that is most likely part of one of the images but at a wonky angle that is not in any of the originals. Any ideas how or why this happened? I tried it a second time with the same results.I've included images to show that the overlay shows up in the merge window. I had Deghosting set to None with Auto Align checked — no other choices.I'm on a Mac with Sequoia 15.4.1 using LrC 14.3 (just updated it & the OS).Thanks for any answers!
Hi,I use a Tamron 35-150mm Lens and I noticed the following issue. As soon I zoom above 100mm and use the lens correction from Lightroom, my image get a black circle. Well, it starts with a normal vignette, then I use the Lightroom correction, an then the 4 corners get slightly brighter as the rest of the image - means: corners are bright and then the image gets darker (Vignette) and then brighter again .... - visual a black circle inside of the image. See this issue the first time. Especially images at the beach, where everything is bright. Is this a Lightroom issue with poor correction of the lens ? I use the Sony 7 IV camera.Any idea why I have this issue ? See the small images below the main image.
Any removals I made with the heal tool keep undoing every time I close and re-open the app. It says "some remove settings need to be updated" [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
Hey guys, so recently I entirely exported my catalog from my Macbook air to my desktop so I can take advantage of the larger local storage there. I completed the export and its now on my desktop, and I've deleted the catalog from my macbook. Previously, I was syncing my catalog from my macbook to my desktop, now I want to achieve the opposite to get the smart previews on my macbook. After this I also deleted all of my sync data so I could start fresh (which maybe in hindsight was a bad idea?) However, when I try to sync on my laptop it just dosen't sync anything, it says everything is synced and backed up but theres nothing there. When I try to turn on sync on my desktop I get "Sync this catalog instead" popup. The popup says im currently syncing "Lightroom Catalog.lrcrat" which is the default catalog I had to make on my macbook after I deleted the old catalog after the move. Then it says "Would you like to sync Mac to Pc.lcrat instead?" (which is the new name
Files imported through lightroom into folder on hard drive. All jpgs showing in lightroom in folder, but not the raw files (dng). If I try to synchronise, the dng files are showing as greyed out. Lightroom 14.2, Windows 11
A few times over the years I have attempted to use my iPad to upload photos while traveling, do some preliminary editing and have them sync to Lightroom Classic on my iMac when I'm. home. I think I finally have a process that works, but had synced photos in LR Classic and in the Cloud that need to be cleaned up. Deleting synced photos causes me much anxiety as I fear they'll just all disappear from my catalog, but I carefully followed the steps that I found here on another post and I seem to have been successful in moving the date folders in the Catalog list (left column) from the sync/Cloud into my catalog folders, deleted the photos from All Synced Photos (after verifying that they are in my catalog), and deleting photos from the collections in "From Lightroom" under the Collections tab, and deleting those collections. The majority of the photos are now gone from the Adobe Cloud also (151 MB left that I can't figure out how to see). However, everything is still on my iPad in th
Just purchased the photograph plan and installed the creative clouds in the Windows. I got this error message when trying to open the lightroom: "Sorry, Lightroom Classic has encountered an error and needs to close. You will not be able to use Lightroom Classic at this time. Please contact customer support and use the reference code 205 for more information on how to resolve this issue." I only subscribed Lightroom in the mobile phone before, and I really have no idea how to resolve the issue. [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
Using Lightroom Classic, because of issues with my old one, I created a new catalog for my pictures. Is it possible to import and “attach” all my “collections” from my old catalog to the images in the new one?
Since updates, ALT CLick in Windows or Option Click in Mac on MASKING works perefectly and as expected showing clear changes as the slider is moved. BUT on DETAIL there is no contrast and it is almost impossible to see any change moving the slider. The image appears gray with maybe a hint of white. Was previously VERY useful and showed changes with incremental movement of the slider. This is new in the last or previous to last update. And iis the same in both Mac and Windows.
In my current Lightroom Classic Catalog, I have photoshoots from 2025 I've been editing. Using the AI masks has been fine up until recently. Now, whether it's a recent photoshoot, or a photoshoot from earlier this year, when I click on a photo that has had a mask applied to it (subject, background, etc), I get a red dot under the mask icon at the top, and a warning message that says "Some AI masks need to be updated. Click to update all." I will click to update, but then later on, I might come back to the same image and the same things happens. I have to repeat the process all over again. It is also happening with the Remove tool. It will say "some remove settings need to be updated". PLEASE FIX THIS, ADOBE!!! After an import or a move of files on the hard drive sometimes Lightroom flashes that it wasn't able to process some photos or videos. As most people I don't go through all of the files right then and click the OK button. Where is the history of these errors for when I do have the time to look at them?
The tether bar ironically gets in the way while shooting tethered. The ability to "dock" the tether bar or pin it in place would be useful.
Lightroom Classic 14.2. Camera Raw 17.2 MacBook Pro M3 Max 64GB Sequoia 15.3.1 Just getting to grips with Smart Collections. It is mostly intuitive, but I am having problems with keywords that contain spaces and numbers. As succinctly as I can... I have images from two shoots that I want to put into separate smart collections. There are 430 images from the first shoot and these have been have tagged with the keyword 2019 03 CORNWALL (PENZANCE). There are 176 images in the second shoot and these have been tagged with the keyword 2019 09 CORNWALL (PENZANCE). I created a smart filter for the first shoot, MATCH ALL, KEYWORDS, CONTAINS ALL, 2019 03 CORNWALL (PENZANCE). However, it returns all photos from both shoots (606 images in total), ie the smart filter is picking up images from both shoots. Meanwhile if I create a filter for the second shoot MATCH ALL, KEYWORDS, CONTAINS ALL, 2019 09 CORNWALL (PENZANCE) it correctly returns
In LR Classic, Ver 14.2, running on Mac Mini Sequoia 15.3.2, in the Develop Module, when clicking on the remove tool: My color photo turns to B & W and light and dark areas in it are all reversed (Normally light areas become the dark areas). See the screen grab:
Using Lightrom Classic v14.3 on Mac OS Sequoia v15.4.1 Steps: 1. Create a custom camera profile using X-Rite Color Checker 2. Install custom camera profile in Lightroom Classic and verify it works as expected and that there is a noticeable difference from standard Adobe Color profile. 3. Use custom camera profile on one or more images in a Lightroom collection 4. Sync the collection to the web 5. In Lightroom Classic make the synced collection public by clicking the Make Public button above thumbnails 6. Open the synced collection in a web browser using the URL provided above thumbnails in Lightroom Classic. 7. Compare color and contrast between Lightroom Classic and web browser display of same photos with custom color profile and note that they are different. 8. Log in to lightroom.adobe.web in another browser and navigate to one of the synced photos that have custom profile name expected to edit it on the web. Note that it has the correct profile name and that displayed
I am a longtime user of both LRC and PS. I am setting up a new laptop and have downloaded the latest versions of both softwares on the new laptop, LRC 14.3 and PS 26.6. LRC will not allow me to set my Photoshop version, it is greyed out in Preferences, external Editing. If I don't run Photoshop, It shows nothing, If I run PS it gives the message "detected that Adobe Photoshop 2025 is running" but will not let me select a version.I have uninstalled, reinstalled, both software in different order. I've tried to install older verions of the software and still not allowing me to set this up. I've read numerious post on similar situations and have tried most of them but still not working. The only other potential issue is my last laptop was a Surface Laptop running the intel chip and the new on is the Surface Laptop 7 running the Snapdragon X 12-core ARM chip, and Windows 11. Adobe says Lightroom and Photoshop work with the ARM chip but not other Adobe soft
Editing folder names is a constant challenge. Is Adobe ever going to address this? It's not a permission issue as it eventually works (sometimes restarting Lr, sometimes waiting a few hours, nothing consistent). It's a huge inconvenience and renaming all the folders in Explorer, relinking them, etc., is a huge waste of time. Is there any actual solution to this yet?
Recently when I try open a raw file in PS from LRC it doesn't open in camera raw. Also, the block where I could check to open a copy or the original is gone. I can still open in camera raw from my HD but it kind of defeats the purpose of LR.Is this somethin new or did I accidently delete something. In my preferences I checked prefer camera raw for supported files.Im using win 10 and it's up to date as are all my adobe files.Cameras are Nikons and I pretty much only shoot in raw.Suggestions would be appreciated.Thank you,...
