Lightroom Classic

Every time I turn on the Spot Removal tool, the photo turns to a black and white sketch looking thing... What's going on?! I've restarted LR as well as my computer. MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. LR Classic 8.4.

Hi, LR Classc version 14.0.1 is all of a sudden missiing the apply button. So now, when I click add, the apply button is misssing, when I hot generate, its removes every single time and is not adding to my selection. Even when I click add, the only button now available, is to 'remove', and it does just that. I click re-generate so many times, and it removes, not adds. I have uninstalled LR, Updated, nothing is working.  

Hi there,Just wanted to use LR6 on a new laptop.unlinked it from the old one.After entering the serial - which I confirmed with the support team is all fine and active, the QR prompt to login with adobe results in a cycle. I login, I accept the terms, the window closes and nothing happens anymore.When running LR again, I'm stuck with the login prompt once more. Any ideas? Customer service so far was all but helpful... Thanks!

I have LRC 14.0.1 and want to import a PSE 2025 catalog. It doesn't appear supported yet. When could I expect that? I want to switch over to LRC 🙂 Thanks,Patrick

14.01 on Mac Studio M2 running 15.1.1 from Grid View - Toggling Zoom inconsistently displays Green Image F key inconsistently displays Black Screen size of black or green is dependent on the Zoom  Double clicking in the image will zoom just fine. Can't figure this one out.

I'm having real problems using the secondary display in Lightroom since updating to a new M3 Macbook Pro, with dual Apple studio displays. Running LR 13.2, which was fine on my old imac.I normally use one display for the Lightroom main screen and develop module, and the second display with the Lightroom secondary display in Loupe view. This has always worked really well till now, however all if does now is constantly flicker, especially when moving between images. The main trigger seems to be changing the rating of an image, and then the dsecondary display disappears momentarily.Sometimes it just disappears,  and I need to click on the main window for it to reappear.It is not my montor connection, as only the LR window flickers, not anything else on the display. I've tried running the main window and secondary display window on the same screen, but it still disappears in the same way, but then bounces back up in the middle of my second display, not where I positioned it. I recently updated my iOS to Ventura 13.7.1 to be able to downloaded the October updates to LR Classic and PS.  After doing so I am finding LRC to be running slow on my iMac.   Basically, when moving the sliders there is a delayed reaction that is slowing my workflow down.  Currently I have around 275GB of 1TB on my harddrive available and for the most part before doing the update I wouldn't experience a slow down in LR unless I had less than 20% storage space available.   If I exit LR and restart my computer it usually runs well for a few minutes and then starts running slow again.  I am using a 2017 iMac and running the latest version 14.0.1  Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. 

I am a hobbyist photographer, and I primarily use Lightroom on MacOS for photo organization (importing and sorting) and editing. I have a collection of approximately 14,000 photos, which totals around 600-700 GB. Currently, my photos are stored across multiple SD cards (used with my camera) and a 2 TB external hard drive that serves as my main storage location. I am considering adding a cloud-based backup for all my photos. My family and I share a 2 TB iCloud Drive subscription, of which only about 450 GB is currently used. I would like to explore the possibility of backing up my photos to iCloud in addition to my external hard drive. Here is my current workflow:I import images from my SD cards into Lightroom.During import, Lightroom saves the images to my external hard drive, organized by year, then quarter, and finally by shoot. My question is whether there is an efficient way to integrate iCloud Drive into this workflow. I just purchased a brand new MacBook Pro M4 Pro Chip & upon use in Lightroom Classic, I find that my CR2 files are no longer compatible with the software. What is the fix to this, if any? I was able to denoise my files no problem prior to.

Ich habe gerade in LrC diese Fehlermeldung bekommen:In English:Lightroom Classic does not have access to some default folders.Lightroom Classic cannot provide access automatically. For more information on providing access, click ‘More information’. Lightroom Classic may not work properly if you continue without granting access.How can I find out what privileges I have to provide to LrC? I have already granted Full Disk Access, so I really don't know what might be the problem. Sorry - I'm a Mac Newbie. 🤷‍♂ 

Sur mon nouvel orinateur, LightRoom Classic utilise progressivement de plus en plus de mémoire Ram jusqu’à saturation et fait planter le système. J’ai 64 go de ram et le logiciel  consomme 80 a 90 % de la ram. Ce qui est énorme. Si le logiciel est lancé sans être utilisé, ce phénomène se produit quand même mais plus lentement. Il faut noter que LightRoom Classic est le seul logiciel de mon installation qui pose ce problème. Les mises à jour Windows et Adobe sont faites automatiquement. Je n’ai remarqué ce problème que recemment.  Que faire ? Quelqu’un a-t-il une idée ? Merci par avance

Hi ,I usually use my office PC to process my photos under LR classic or PS.It's a DELL OPTIPLEX-7070 SFF (Intel Core i7-9700T CPU @ 2.00GHz 1.99 GHz / 32Go RAM / Windows 11 PRO / Intel UHD Graphics 630)Actually the noise reduction with IA takes a very very long time...And as I shoot a lot of photos on sports events I have to increase my processing time...So I plan to buy a new PC wih a better configuration. Neuerdings lassen sich neue Videos nicht mehr importieren. Es gehen weder H.265 noch H.264. Leider gibt es keine Fehlermeldung. Der Importbalken oben links bleibt leer.Bestehende Videos kann ich nicht mehr abspielen und auch nicht kürzen, die Schaltflächen dafür fehlen.  Auch Deinstallation von V14 und Löschen aller Adobe Ordner auf meinem PC (Win 10) und Neuinstallation von V14 und V13.5 hat nicht geholfen. Danke für eure Hilfe!Anne

Since i updated lightroom classic to 14 i can,t import lots  of files, it only imports a couple and then freezes. I tried reverting but i just lost a week of editing. Anyone else having issues.???

Hallo. Ich habe seit Heute folgendes Problem. Lightroom kann den Katalaog nicht mehr back-upen. (Siehe attachements) Ordnerberechtigungen sind überprüft. Ferstplattenvollzugriff erlaubt. Speicherplatz sollte auch reichlich vorhanden sein. (242 GB) Wie in vorigen Posts schon gelesen, hab ich versucht den Namen abzuändern. Ohne Erfolg, die Fehlermeldung bleibt. Hat jemand eine Idee wie man das Problem beheben kann ? Ich bin dankbar für jeden Vorschlag. Danke euch allen 

Now that Adobe have stopped supporting Lightroom 6 stand alone program, is it possible to transfer it onto another computer? If so, how do I do it? Thanks.

I am trying to process multiple outdoor nighttime photos on a regular basis and would love to simply select all photos that have an ISO greater than 1600 and allow a batch processing of the DENOISE function on them. I do not know what it would entail but, I know I cannot be the only person that believes this would help workflows for poorly lit photography that leaves us with higher ISO values. Ideas? Additional thoughts?

Hello, i can't seem to make the new masking tool to work correct. When i make an adjusment, by brush, auto select or any other tool the mask shows up in my image, red by default, and when i make a change in the Basic-panel, the adjustments will be applied over the whole image and not just the masked part.Is this a bug or am i doing something nog correct?Help please... 🙂  

Have been using LRC on my new Windows PC for almost a year now.  Recently updated to the latest version.  I keep my catalog and image files on a removable drive.  Went to use my Macbook yesterday and couldn't load the updated catalog from the removeable drive because the catalog file was newer.  So I ran update all in Adobe Cloud and got a message that said the latest version of Lightroom Classic was not compatible with the Monterey OS.  Said I needed to have the Ventura OS.  I thought fine, I'll upgrade to Ventura.  Found out that my 9 year old Macbook can't run Ventura OS.  So my question is: Do I need to get a new Macbook in order to run the latest version of Lightroom Classic?  I know it's 9 years old, but was hoping to get more mileage out of it.  Related question: Don't the new Macbooks use a new Apple chip, not an Intel  CPU?  Will my other software like MS Office even run on it?

I recently shot images in Spain. On returning to the East Coast, I commenced editing in Photoshop, and Topaz(using the plugin). When the images return to LrC, the capture time on the edited image changes by six hours, the interrnational time difference between Spain and the East Coast. When daylight Savings Time came into effect, the capture time changesd on returning images by the new time difference. Now I am in Mexico, where the time difference with Spain, is seven hours, as Mexico has abolished Daylight Savings time, and the capture time on edited images is  again different. For those who may ask, while in Spain, my camera was set to local time as related to GMT, which is the Canon protocol.   In LrC, in View > Sort, my selection is Capture Time. The problem is that edited images do not pair with the original image which results in having to searchfor the image, and attempt to pair the edited image with the original. Ever since upgarding to the new M4 Macbook Pro, I am having this issue. This is a bug that I've seen mentioned on other threads, but I want to bring it up in my sepcific version of software/hardware combo.   The issue: No new previews or thumbnails are being generated when importing new photos on the library. Hello there,  I'm reaching out with a problem I just can't seem to fix with Lightroom. I shoot my photos with a 3:2 aspect ratio on my Canon 5d Mark iii camera. When I import them to lightroom, in the library, the thumbnails show the full picture with the 3:2 ratio (I have it set to see the embedded preview in the library module). However, when I go to the develop module, the pictures are suddenly a different aspect ratio (looks like 4:3), and pixels from either side have been cropped out.  I have already checked the following: - When I hit "reset" in the crop section of the develop module, nothing happens. The pixels aren't recovered. - There are no develop settings being applied to the files upon import- My preset is set to "Adobe default" for the global preset for RAW defaults- When I import the RAW files to another platform like Capture 1, the cropping does not happen. All the pixels are conserved and the photo remains 3:2 even after editing and export

Auto Settings ( Ctrl + U ) is not working for more the approximate 50 pictures Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 PS : PC version , tested on multiple Laptops not working since 12.0 and no one cares about this problem .....thank you Adobe !

Hello Everyone, I recently broke-up with my girlfriend and she used my Adobe account for lightroom classic. The issue we are having is that i don't want her using my account and she is affraid to lose all her presets, setting and everything she has configured in it. Is it possible for her to get her own subscripton and keep everything in Lightroom Classic as is?  

Have they changed the way things are viewed in lightroom library.I am used to seeing the original image and the edited images side by side in lightroom Library, But I have noticed that only the edit images now shows in the library only.I was editing my file _PTE8028.NEF added a little colour.  Prior to the update I would see the original Image with the original file name, then I would see the edited version next to it.  So I wanted to do a before and after shot, so that I can compare the two images. However only the edited image is present and when I go to compare it automatically compares the edited image to the next file _PTE8029.NEF.The reason I wanted to compare the original to the edited is to see if I did too much editing to the original and now I cant do that because only the edited image is displayed in the Library and no both the original image and edited image.Can anyone offer any advise on this.
