Lightroom Classic

Following my first file import in 2025, my entire Lightroom classic  catalog  suddenly seems corrupted: In library (gallery) view the thumbnail images are no longer visible, just appearing as  greyed out boxes (albeit with correct filenames when hovering over the box). The images are apparently  still in the catalogue, because if an image is selected and then processed in the develop module, the image can now be seen. However, for the entire catalogue it seems any editing changes (exposure, crop etc etc)  have been lost and only the original raw image is available:  5 or 6 years of edited images effectively lost!   Adobe Lightroom classic 14.1.1 Windows 11 (recent upgrade) 23H2

App: Lightroom Classic 11.1, Camera Raw 14.1Platform:  Win 11 Pro - 21H2 build 22000.376Steps:  1 Editing a photo in Develop module            2 Make any changes; i.e., exposure, tint, temp by grabbing the slider to adjust            3  The slider do not move when using the mouse.  I can point and click to a given position - then the slide jumps to that position. Tried:  Reset all Lightroom settings, cleared all cache, reinstalled LrCC, updated Graphical Card driver.  The sliders work fine when openning a photo in Camera  Raw via Bridge.  Sliders work fine in Photoshop.

I don't get a formal error message, but the masking simply doesn't work - it gives a couple of random red blotches that are nowhere near the subject. This is on a new computer (XPS 15) that is exactly like the old computer it replaced, except with more memory. On the old computer, the masking works fine!  Has anyone else experienced this? Ideas on what to do? I've checked for driver updates, I've created a new Lightroom catalog, I've checked for Lightroom updates. 

Hello!I'm looking for advice in matching the color, tone, and density of white backgrounds across a set of images. I have over 1000 images of reddish gloves on white backgrounds. They were all photographed in manual mode, same white balance, identical lighting and exposure, but there is still some variation in tone/color on the white backgrounds. They're extremely close, but I want the backgrounds matched exactly. They're not 100 percent white--I do want some tone and texture in the backgrounds. I'm looking for a quick and efficient way to match the backgrounds so they're all exactly the same. I've attached two of the images here for reference. Anyone have some advice?

Symptoms in LrC (14.0.1): LrC boots very slowly, takes a very long time to close (process stays active in Task Manager). Library actions take a long time: flags and other labels appear with a long delay (10s?), folders stay greyed out after a folder action. Other actions take a long time as well: save metadata, paste settings in develop, opening the export window, ...   Symptom in Windows (11 Pro 23H2): Disk J (WD HDD): is continuously 100% saturated: 100% Active time, 5-15MB/s read speed. See attachment.   This has been happening for quite some time. At any given moment this problem seems to return. I know how to solve it (temporarily) but it always seems to come back after a while. It always seems to return to the J: HDD   The way I fix it (temporarily) is to sync metadata on the J disk. This takes a couple of hours, but after the process has finished, the HDD returns to a normal idle state (0% active time).   The J disk is in my LrC library, it's a disk where

Hi Lightroom experts,   I'm moving from my 2015 Macbook pro to a new computer shortly (about time right). I would be HEARTBROKEN if i lost my lightroom catalogue in the process as my external harddrive backups recently became corrupted (so those 'image preview files' are now very precious to me as they are my personal-not professional photos).   I'd also like to make sure i manage space properly bc i feel like I'm not doing it right and in general feel a bit overwhelmed in my research. I'd love to have a video chat with someone who can see my screen and educate me in these matters. If necessary, happy to pay for this service as I am a bit desperate to get this right.   Would you all have anyone to recommend?? Im Folgenden erkläre ich den Hintergrund und das aktuelle Problem:Hintergrund:Zunächst habe ich Lightroom auf einem MacBook Pro genutzt und alle Fotos in der Cloud synchronisiert.Nach einem Wasserschaden am MacBook Pro habe ich mir ein MacBook Air angeschafft, Lightroom neu installiert und mich mit meinem Adobe-Konto angemeldet.Die Synchronisation funktionierte zunächst problemlos, und alle Cloud-Dateien wurden in Lightroom Classic den entsprechenden Sammlungen zugeordnet.Aktuelles Problem:Kürzlich habe ich meinen Lightroom-Katalog auf eine externe SSD verschoben. Seitdem sind viele meiner Fotos in Lightroom Classic in den Sammlungen nicht mehr verfügbar.Im Webbrowser über Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com) sind alle Fotos weiterhin vorhanden, aber auf meinem Laptop werden sie nicht angezeigt.Frage:

Hi. I currently have a large library using Lightroom 4.4 on Windows. The catalog file is local and photos are on a NAS shared drive.  I am moving to a) new Windows 11 PC, and b) putting both catalog and photos on the machine's internal drive.  What is the best way to migrate?  

I am experiencing an issue with the masking feature in the paid version of the Lightroom app. Here are the details:-*Platform:* [Windows Desktop] - *Version of Lightroom:* 14.1.1- *Description of the Issue:*- When I attempt to use the masking tool (e.g., Select Subject, Linear Gradient, etc.), it either does not respond or produces unexpected results. 

I am a long time of LR6, standalone edition. When I changed my PC recently, I tried to reinstall it. It puts me into a reiterative loop, saying I have to log into Adobe to proceed. When I do, and try to install, it brings me back again to the same message, saying I have to log into Adobe to proceed. Adobe Tech Support have told me they cannot assist as the product has reached end of life. Can anybody assist? Thanks.

Hi All, I am seeing the option for Borderless printing missing on my mac LR Classic installation.  I'm using Mac OS Sequoia 15.2.  I have seen some posts from older versions on here but most say it was fixed.  Mine isnt though.  I have tried a work around of doing a custom paper size in the page set up or print module with margins set to 0 but it still prints with a border. My printer is an Epson ET-8550 - Ive updated everything I can on it but its made no difference. Any help would be hugely appreciated as I am really struggling!  Is this a mac problem, an Adobe problem or an Epson problem? In hope!  Mike

I think I am going crazy, but it seems to me one of the most fundamental ways to work with Survey mode in Lightroom Classic is broken in the recent release. I thought that I could look at a colletion of photos in Survey view, select one, go to the Loupe view, give it a star, reject it, pick it, click on the stars underneath, then go back to Survey and all or any of these operations are done on JUST the one photo.  But now it seems, any and all of these selection/rating actions are being applied to ALL of the photos I've currently selected, even when I am in the Loupe mode, even when I just click under one photo.  The only thing I seem to be able to do to one photo is to hit the X button and that removes it from the selected group as well as from the Survey view. I understand that the rationale here - I am applying these operations on ALL of the selected photos, but what's the use of Survey if I can't actually grade/label/flag individual photos? Hello everyone   I keep my RAW files in my OneDrive folder so as to backup my files to my OneDrive.   About a year ago, I had the issue that the library module started showing the normal file location on the drive, but also the same structure mirrored under "shortcut to OneDrive". When it started to do that, the import image selection process became extremely slow and lightroom would become unresponsive while it updated the future location of the imported images.   After a Lightroom update this behaviour stopped and everything was fine this past year.   Today I wanted to import 400 pictures and it took me 30min until Lightroom let me hit the "Import" button after updating the import location for this long.   Anyone else with this issue? Anyone got a solution (except don't use OneDrive)? It appears to be a weird bug.

Hallo, aufgrund eines Fehlers überlege ich Lightroom neu zu installieren. Klar einen Katalog kann ich speichern und wieder laden - aber gibt es auch die Möglichkeit alle Presets zu speichern und wieder herzustellen (Am besten auch in der Gleichen Sortierung).Lieben Dank

Hi all So a while ago i accidently removed a folder with around 5 thousand images ini imported them back in and see there were backive just realised all my edits on therm are gone but the keywords and gps are still therewhat has happened to my edits and how can i get them back?dont fancy going through 5k of edits hope someone can help

Hallo zusammen Ich bin nun endlich von LR 5 auf LRC umgestiegen. Meinen bestehenden LR 5-Katalog habe ich problemlos auf LRC aktualisieren können und alle Bilder sind vorhanden. Dann ist mir jedoch aufgefallen, dass die Entwicklungseinstellungen bei den meisten Bildern verschwunden sind. Farbe, Kontrast, Ausschnitt usw. fehlen praktisch überall. Nur bei einzelnen Bildern wurden die Einstellungen übernommen. Hat jemand eine Idee, woran das liegt?

What is the best graphic card for LRC and photoshop?  

Hello, am deaf from Czech Republic.Please me help problem. 

This started happening recently. I use the functionality all the time when importing scanned negatives. To recreate: select multiple images and click the button to Edit Capture Time. Choose the "Adjust to a specified date and time" option. Enter a time in the corrected time box. Click "Change All". I expect each image to have the same date and time, as specified. Intead, each picture is set to a different date and time. I've seen the range of dates in the set being a couple of years or more. If I set each individual image separately it does seem to work (so far). I usually scan 4-5 rolls of film at a time and it is a major pain to have to edit 100+ images one at a time. LRC 14.1.1, Mac OSX 15.1.1

Hi AllFirstly I am using LRC 14.1.1 and CR 17.1 with PS 26.0My problem is when I try and open several images at once in LR to open as layers in PS ie..right-click> Edit in> Open as layers in Photoshop, it is 'greyed out' along with open as smart objects options in Photoshop and the merge to HDR and Panorama options. 1. I have more than one option selected2. I have tried selecting from both the grid and film strip options3. I have reset LR settings Nothing seems to work. I have tried to look through the community but nothing jumps out to me that I have not already tried. What's worse there is no issue on my wife's computer... Thanks in advance
