Lightroom Classic

Well... this is not fun!  I just updated Lightroom Classic this morning and when trying to edit a photo it becomes extremely unstable and unresponsive and finally crashes.    Not good considering I have a number of photos I need to edit... Why is this happening and how to I fix it? Here is what Event Viewer says:The program Lightroom.exe version 14.0.0.9 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. Hallo Ich habe ein Verständnis-, und vielleicht auch Bedienungsproblem, und bitte um Hilfe. Meine ArbeitsumgebungBei meinem Abo sind 100 GB Cloud inkludiert. Ich arbeite mit LrC, wobei die Bilddateien auf einem NAS liegen, sowie mit Mobilgeräten, die Lr installiert haben. Meine FeststellungNun, wenn ich in LrC gewisse (grössere) Sammlungen über Lr Mobile synchronisiere, verändert sich der freie Cloud Speicher nicht. Wenn ich eine Serie Bilder ab einem Mobilgerät synchronisiere, braucht es diesen (natürlich). Die FragenMir ist klar, bei bei Synchronisationen ab LrC nicht die ganze Datei hochgeladen wird, aber dass es selbst bei 200 Bildern nicht mal eine MB-Kommastelle verändert, ist schon faszinierend. Ist das wirklich so? ...und jetzt aber mein eigentliches Problem:Die mobil hochgeladenen Bilder würde ich zuhause natürlich dann gerne auch auf die NAS verschieben, und nur die Vorschau noch online belassen. Leider kann ich aber aus der Sammlung die Bilder in LrC

Hi in meinem Lightroom Classic treten neuerdings einige Probleme auf. Die Bilder werden nicht immer aktualisiert nach einer Bearbeitung im Entwickler-Modul oder Photoshop. Vorschauen verwerfen und neu erstellen, oder ein Leeren des Cache hat keine Abhilfe gebracht. Im Entwicklermodul, bei den Masken, verschwinden die Buttons (Auge) um die Masken aktivieren oder deaktivieren zu können immer wieder. Abhilfe bisher ist aus dem Modul raus, allenfalls einen Neustart vom LrC... Läuft auf einem MBPro M1, Sonoma 14.6.1  

Hello, For years I've been attached to a volunteer project, trying to impose world peace through art. I used to have Lightroom, but with the purchase of my new Nikon Z6iii camera, it seems that I must now necessarily rent the latest version of Lightroom. I'm only interested in two factors: restoring the color as close as possible to its original on the one hand, and restoring perspective on the other. Strictly nothing else. To avoid reflections, I often have to take a picture to one side to restore perspective. Thank you for your advice. Jean-Paul 

Hi everyone, I am facing issues with updating my LRC/LR and PS. When I try to update I get an error message "Updates have been disabled for this machine. Please contact your administrator." If I try to update in creative cloud it says everything is up to date. LRC installed is 13.1, but the latest one is 13.5 I searched but I only see drastic solutions to uninstall everything and then reinstall the latest version. This seems to be a bit of a hassle especially when you have to do this every single time an update is released. Any words of wisom on the matter? Thanks in advanceRoy

Few hours ago I updated to version 14.01 and after few hours of trying different things I just downloaded Capture One.   This software is a joke. Have been using it for years, while it was getting slower and slower but this latest update tops everything. After generating 1:1 previews the program becomes completely unresponsive. It takes 4-5 (sic!) seconds to move from one image to another in library!   And no, this is NOT hardware issue - before update navigating images was normal, took <1 second. It all changed within 1 hour after update.   Thanks for nothing Adobe, you just lost a customer. And looking at other posts here and on Reddit - you are gonna lose much, much more!

there are 4000 photos in the original folder, but only 3600 photos are imported, not all photos are imported, and so with each folder that I want to importI do the import from an external hard drive

Has anyone noticed that with update 14.0.1 each time a label a photo with 1 star...could be any rating, when editing the photo it removes the label and it says no photo selected. No updates available to either Lightroom or MACOS. Tried to search first but couldn't find anything. Thanks. 

Hi,   Today I opened Lightroom Classic and found I had to update my catalog to open it due to the recent update (14.0.1)   After the catalog update, I have lost ALL pictures in my catalog except for the ones done in the last week, the collections are there but they are fully empty.   Please tell me this can be fixed, I had in there collections of my late wife going back years. I've been using LRC for a couple of years now, but in the last couple of updates (or maybe even a little longer than that) I noticed that it's become VERY slow. I called tech support the other day and they remote-deksed into my machine and looked it over. After a while they had me sign out and then back in again, finally after updating the video card it seemed to work MUCH better, but then the next day, it slowed back down and now I'm back to where I was. Taking multiple seconds just to go from one tab to another. I use internal drives for my editing (MV2) and a brand new machine with 128gb ram and a 12gb Envidia 3060 video card. This thing should be a beast, but it's slower than my old machine. What is going on?!   Win11AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor 3.70 GHz128 GB Ram2TB internal Mv2 drive just for editingGeForce RTX3060 12 gb video card

Experienced a problem with the Lightroom Classic upgrade going from 13.5.1 to 14.0 and to 14.01.I upgraded on the day of release (Oct 14th) and the actual upgrade from 13.5.1 to 14.0 appeared to have been executed successfully. Carried out some minor sanity checks to make sure the upgraded version was ok. Still had my usual problem where I’m unable to create large numbers of previews at a time – but that has been around for a couple of years so that was par for the course.The following day version 14.01 was released and I updated. However, after this update, carrying the same sanity checks resulted in Lightroom crashing. The new diagnostic feature came up and informed me that problem was caused by 14.0 and a new version 14.01 was available for installation. I thought did I make a mistake and not install 14.01. Checked with Creative cloud app and that showed 14.01 installed on the system. Yet every time I started Lightroom and checked the Help/ About Lightroom Classic - version 14.0 was

LRC 13-3, Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS, 64GBEvery resource on the web, going back years, says to open the profile browser and right-click on the profile name to rename it. This no longer works, right-click does nothing here, on ANY profile name. Has this ability been removed? How does one rename a develop profile? Update: I found the profile browser in ACR (when opening a CR2 in Photoshop), and find that there too, although right-click does bring up some options, it appears it's not possible to rename the profile there either.

I use a MacPro 2019 as my primary production machine (mostly LrC library and images) and have a little over 4tb on an aging G-Tech 4-drive RAID, configured RAID 0. RAID 5 was too slow for 4K video so using it as RAID 0 with backup to other spinning drives. RAID is starting to get a little glitchy so I will be moving these files to an Oyen U34 8tb external SSD and using that as working drive. Never have done such a migration. Would it be better to copy all files including the catalog files to the new drive, create a new Library and import the old library or just open the original catalog. Would opening the old catalog require relinking (there are about 70,000 images in my catalog) or will LR find the files. I'll be backing up to smaller external SSD's that I have sitting around. I just think it is time to ditch spinning disks both for speed as well as dependability. 

I have no idea what is going on here, I have been editing for a few hours and all of a sudden I clicked over to a new image and it turned the whole thing dark. Ctrl-Z only deselected the image and then it went back to normal. But when I clicked on another image it happened again. I tried resetting the image and applying my preset (that is not one I have to make big adjustments from) and even when I apply the preset it goes WAY dark. Not sure what is happening or if I've done something to make this happen - hoping someone can help.

Hallo!Ich habe rund 800 alte Dia-Positive digitalisiert und in LrC importiert. Wie kann ich erkennen, welche Fotos ich bereits innerhalb von LrC horizontal gespiegelt habe?In der Protokollliste wird das Spiegeln nicht angezeigt. Lg, Peter.

Est ce qu'on peut ouvrir un catalogue unique pour lire soit sur un Mac ou un PC.Actuellement j'utilise LRC sur 2 mac avec un catalogue sur mon MBP M1 et un sur mon MacPro avec OCLP.Depuis la nouvelle version LRC 14.0.1 elle n'est pas lu avec le MacPro.Si j'installe  Windows sur le MacPro est-ce que LRC pourra tourner avec le catalogue sur Mac et PC formaté pour être lu sur Mac et PC (en NTFS) par exemple.C'est une question pour savoir ...

For months now, Lightroom CC has become the most bug filled useless piece of software I've ever had to use.  It hogs memory like you wouldn't believe - has to be restarted regularly (every 2-3 pictures worth of editing) because it become unusably slow. Exports fail regularly with 'Unknown error'Denoise fails regularly with 'Unknown error'Denoise crashes my Nvidia display drivers on occasion - that really messes up my machine. I'm an IT expert so I know my machine is well spec'd and configured to run Windows 11 efficiently. I have no problems with any other software breaking things and I do a fair bit of image and video processing.  Why is Adobe allowed to get away with charging subscriptions for this PATHETIC poorly written and obviously untested rubbish?! I am so frustrated and angry as it takes hours to do the most simple things now. It's absolutely APPALLING. Lightroom Classic version: 13.5.1 [ 202408271704-d15d09cd ]License: Creative CloudLanguage

Okay, first of all, I upgraded my LrC this morning, day 1 of Adobe MAX. I don't see in CC that there are any additional updates, nor do I see a way to revert back to the old version. Disappointing. I'm having an issue with exporting images. They don't export. The progress bar fills up but never finishes. I also am not seeing the option to just export, only export with presets. (The image files in the finder screen shot were downloaded from Lr Web.) Specs: MacBook Pro, M1 Max, Sequoia OS 15.1, LrC 14.0  I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance. Although LrC usually runs smoothly for me, this is frustrating.  Goodnight, I will check in in the morning. Fried.       

I'm making masking and lens blur modifications to photos and they are not being saved, even within the same editing session. I get a message that AI mask changes and blur settings need to be updated. I click the update buttons and move on to the next image but when I return to the first image, the updates have not been saved. Very frustrating! Suggestions?

Add new mask to Subject and Background is not working in the latest version - 13.4. Lr is trying to detect the subject, but it ends with no result. Also, it always shows there are no people in the photo but there are people even if there is only one subject Lr is not detecting subjects/people.   So, paying for the advanced AI options is a waste of money. Is anyone elses LR classic being extremely slow? my photos wont load in either library nor develop module. I have tried updting.... tried making a new catalog, then imported photos from othr catalog.... 

How do I create new keyboard shortcuts in Lightroom classic for Windows?
