From one day to another I cannot import dng pHoto's from my Iphone to lightroom classic.I don't see the preview, just a grey window. When I start "import" lightroom "hangs" there and don't do anything.
Somewhere along the line, Lightroom imposed a new limitation on keywords preventing the use of either commas or spaces in keywords, because they now say commas or spaces are used as a keyword separators. (What was the separator character when these characters WERE allowed?) For years now, I have created hundreds of keywords using both commas and spaces to tag people by last name, first name and towns by city, state. Do I now have to manually change all of those keywords to eliminate commas or spaces? I would like Adobe to add more keyword separator options. For example, "." and "/" can be treated as keyword separators when reading metadata. Why are these characters not allowed as separators for keyword entry?
In LR Classic 9.1, the Map module has the wrong hemisphere (E versus W) for the GPS location. So instead of showing the location as northern California, it shows it in China. I exported iPhone photos from the Photos app on a Mac (export unmodified original; checked Export IPTC as XMP). When I look at the file itself in Preview, it shows the following (correct) coordinates (northern California): Latitude: 40° 26’ 32.508” NLongitude: 123° 59’ 20.04” W I imported the photo into Lightroom, and it shows the following GPS coordinates (China). 40°26'32.508" 123°59'20.039" If I manually add N and W to the GPS coordinates, then it shows the correct location. I don't know what to do to correct this before I start editing/modifying thousands of photos!
Help me. You need to download lightrum version 12.5.1, but it was removed from previous versions. This is the most successful version for my PC. It works perfectly and does not crash, unlike versions 13 and above that were left. Where can I find a way to download Lightroom 12.5.1 and older versions? Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 stops responding on launch on macOS. Rebooting macOS, force quitting LrC has not helped.CommentsI’ve been using LrC for last year successfully. Issue first occurred around 10/10/24 when I was on vacation. Unable to get LrC to boot, I have been using Lr (cloud) since then but need to get back to LrC now. Repro Steps Open Lightroom Classic from system tray using latest macOS. Splash screen shows for about 45 seconds, then goes away but no window is ever displayed. Right mouse clicking on LrC in system tray shows “application not responding”.4. I can force quit LrC I see the macOS crash reportTop part of macOS crash report (attached) which was submitted to Adobe: Date/Time: 2024-11-24 17:06:19.145 -0800 End time: 2024-11-24 17:14:27.835 -0800 OS Version: macOS 15.1.1 (Build 24B91) Architecture: arm64e Report Version: 53 Incident Identifier: F364E692-CE6A-43CF-8AB6-5FF1A182FA73 Data Source: Stackshots S
In the past couple of months, I have had issues with LRC randomly closing when switching from one image to another. LRC is version 14.0.1. The issue has arisen since the last couple of updates. No crash file, and no info on the cause. It is very annoying and makes it impossible to get any work done. I have done all the suggested stuff on the web. I have reinstalled LRC twice. GPU is off... smart previews are off. I have lots of RAM (64G) and a fast CPU i9 10900K. Gpu is the RTX3080 Ti. All apps on a 2TB SSD, files on a HD in the computer. No issues with PS, only LRC. No other Apps are affected. The problem doesn't seem as frequent in Library but happens consistently in Develop.
The new smart collection select for lens blur in the v13.2 is a much welcome addition. Thanks a bunch. Please do consider expanding the Aspect ratios to more than just Portrait, Landscape and Square. Except for square the other two doesn't provide much help when either one can mean more than just portrait or landscape.Propose that the grouping be consistent with the default in Lightroom Classic. See Attached. I understand there are an infinite number of aspect ratios however the ones listed are the most common and the rest could be group as custom. One way could be to use the aspect ratios such asSquare (1x1)Landscape (2x3)Landscape (8.5x11)etcPortrait (3x2)Portrail (11x8.5) Ignore the pixels dimensioning.
This is the second time this issue has happened. I create a new catalog, select import, select a folder, then select import... a lot of the images don't import (random) into LR. The load bar at the top left freezes and it can't finish loading them in. After going back and selecting the same folder and picking "new images", they all show up in the library window but after selecting "import", nothing happens. Some photos from my catalog are not exporting from classic. When I hit export, the bar will load to complete but never disappear. and it will stay stuck that way. photos from the same photoshoot will export just fine. I'd say out of 50 photos, 10 will have this exporting issue. The only way I have been able to export these certain photos is to right click the photo, hit show in explorer, open that photo in lightroom where it will take away any editing i've done, and then export from lightroom into a folder, and import that photo again into classic where it'll have the same file number but with a -2.cr3 at the end, then i'll sync the unedited photo with the edited that won't export and then the new imported one will export just fine. It's exhuasting lol [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
Hi everyone,I’m using the Sony a9 III and often shoot at 120 fps with pre-capture enabled. On the camera, the "Display as Group" feature is fantastic for organizing my bursts, but when I import my photos into Lightroom, all the burst images are separated.I've tried using Lightroom's "Auto-Stack by Capture Time," but it's tricky to dial in the correct time interval since I sometimes shoot multiple bursts just fractions of a second apart.I’m looking for a way to have this process automated, as it was done in-camera. I have over 2200 photos to organize, and manually grouping each burst (which can have dozens or hundreds of frames) would take an enormous amount of time.Does anyone have a workflow for keeping these bursts grouped automatically, either through Lightroom settings, third-party software, or metadata tricks? Thanks in advance for any advice!
Hi, I recently purchased the Adobe creative cloud package because I need to convert RAW files into jpegs after doing the editing in RAW; however, Adobe has completely redesigned the software. I am using the lightroom classic and i am only available to convert to DNG which removes all the picture's resolution and I end up with pictures that are useless. When I try to burn the files into jpegs, I get a message saying "lightroom cannot burn data because it cannot locate a drive that supports burning." Does anyone else have this issue? I have a brand new Microsoft Surface 2 so I don't get it, but i am beyond frustrated with this new adobe program. I used use adobe lightroom 5 and I never had any issues. Converting raw files to jpeg was easy and it would give you options for what size of file you wanted. I think I will cancel my membership because it is just useless if I can't convert to jpegs.Thank you if you have any advise Abel 's
As of yesterday, when I export a tif file to my desktop, it is now creating a folder titled "2024" and exporting the tiff file(s) to it while also exporting the jpeg (w/watermark) to my desktop directly. Prior to yesterday, I was able to just export the jpeg to my desktop. How do I remedy this situation? Thank you in advance for your feedback. My computer has a 570 AORUS MASTER motherboard with an AMD Ryen 7 5800X 8 core processor. It currently has an MIS AMD RX 580 Graphic Processor. Currently I’m still using Windows 10.I’m having a problem with the GPU crashing when I use lightroom’s Denoise. I’ve tried uninstalling the card and software and reinstalling it again. It will come up and work until it was taxed by Denoise again.I’ve been looking for another AMD Graphic card. I am not a gamer and I do not process any videos.I would like to get a card that I can use with the latest versions of Lightroom, Photoshop, and Topaz. Currently. I’m also concerned about getting a card that will not only handle the processing that I do today but will still handle the AI growth of tomorrow. I have just started my search. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I’ve been looking at the ASRock Radeon RX 6700 XT 12G. Does anyone have an opinion about the 6700? How about ASRock? Their card is somewhat less expensive than the MIS b
I'm excited by the addition of better support for the upcoming ISO standard for HDR via gain maps on AVIF and JXL in LrC 14. However, I'm trying to reconcile the resulting files exported (via these instructions) with my understanding of gain maps. I'm also testing them in the linked Gain Map Demo app. It's clear that "maximize compatibility" means "include a gain map." The increased file size alone shows this—both AVIF and JXL ~double in size when exported this way, which makes sense. However, I'm not sure why the AVIF and JXL are behaving differently in my testing. Everything below is with "maximize compatibility" turned on—I'm testing gain maps, not pure HDR files. - It appears that the AVIF file is an SDR base plus gain map to get to HDR. I can verify this with how it's displayed in Apple software on various devices, and by comparing the SDR display rendition to what I specify in Lightroom. This is kind of what I'd expect—this is how a traditional JPG+gain map works. &
I've been trying out the Auto Stack feature to help with speeding up HDR batches. I'm finding a huge problem in that it seems when you use "Auto Stack by Capture Time" it automatically considers it for all the photos in your folder, not just the ones you selected. I mostly organize my photos by month/year so I want the ability to select a group of them to be analyzed for Auto Stack, not the entire folder. Thanks for any advice or workaround ideas!
I don't know for how many years we're going to be without scrolling with the zoom, like in any application ever made for Windows/Mac.Just upvote my post so they maybe, eventually, sometime, in my lifetime, add a regular zoom in/out with scroll.
I recently upgraded LRc to v14 and the filter malfunctions on collections : it is a bug ? - When I switch on the filter based on attributes-rating, no photos are retrieved : see screen captures. - This bug just happens when I am in a collection. Meanwhile the same filter works normally in a folder ! My hardware and software: - MacOS Ventura 13.6.9 with MacMini M1 - LRc v14.0.1 [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

My SystemI want a better understanding of my work flow and the deleting of files.I’m use a PC windows 10 and Lightroom Classic 13.4I use an Inca Card Reader that is plugged into a port bank.Photos are imported through File – Import Photo and videosAt this point I select the photos that I want to examine further for development.I un-check the ones I don’t want.I then press the import button with the Copy ticked.Photos are moved to a DATA file, dated to match the files. The data that is checked isdon’t import duplicatesmake a second copyrename files. What I am unsure about is what happens here if I reject an image and delete itEither Button Delete from Disk or Remove from Lightroom what happens?Firstly it appears they are not removed from the back up.They are removed from the external hard drive I have, but are they removed form Lightroom or do I need something else checked. At this time if I move Raw files to Lightroom 7.5 it moves 'deleted files' (that is images that are not in my hard dr
So a strange thing happens after using tethered capture for a while. When renamimng a file in library mode and having sort by CAPTURE TIME, the displayed image jumps to last imported image. Auto advance is disabled. Example: Shoot 9 images. Client select image 3. Change the name in the metadata panel and when hit enter, the 9th image is displayed. Restarting LRc cures this for a while. Running latest version on MacOS Sequoia [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

I right clicked on a photo in Lightroom > Edit in Adobe Photoshop 2022 > Made the edits in PS > Clicked Save.... Went back to Lightroom and the edited copy is NOT in lightroom. I still have my edited photo saved in Photoshop but I can't pull it back into lightroom. Please help. I would like my edits to be in Lightroom. It was a big edit and I don't want to try it again for it to save in Lightroom.
Does anyone know what I can do to solve a problem with HDR in Lightroom? When selecting the photos, the combination options simply appear gray and it does not let me select the HDR options The photographs are in DNG and exactly the same, only the parameters change, but the strange thing is that when I select the photographs and go to combination of photographs and touch the option, the other 2 HDR and HDR panoramic options appear gray and I cannot select
