Lightroom Classic

I'm running Lightroom classic 13.5.1.everything is up to date with Lightroom and mypcc.Imm running windows 10my Lightroom keeps closing and restarting mypcc at random times. I've noticed it happens more commonly when using radial masks, but it does restart at other random times as well

Throughout my photography career, I've exclusively used Lightroom Cloud. To this date, I have uploaded over 17,000 photos to the cloud. Recently, though, I have had to use Lightroom Classic for work because of the keywording features (I work in athletics). I want to be able to upload my final photos from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom Cloud. I turned on the sync collections feature and it worked, i synced my folders into Lightroom Cloud. The problem is it also attempted to download all 17,000 photos from my cloud onto my computer! Is there a way to ONLY sync Lightroom classic photos to the cloud version but not vice versa? I know I could always export the photos in classic and reupload them into the cloud, but I'd like to have my metadata, like adjustments, saved so I can go back and adjust them in the future. This always just requires another couple of steps versus just transferring automatically. I know this is a niche issue for someone using both platforms for different workflows, b

I have just bought the photography package and have never used Lightroom or Photoshop before. I am a mac user. I have saved some raw (tiff) files onto my desktop and want to be able to save the finished photo onto my NAS and for Lightroom to manage the library. It seems simple enough to import the file into lightroom make my adjustments and export the finished tiff file to the NAS. Am I right in thinking that if I now wish to edit further in Photoshop I can open the tiff from the NAS make any changes I want and then when finished just overwrite the file on the NAS or is it good practice/necessary to keep both the original lightroom file and the Photoshop file. If I keep both will Lightroom library track this. Obviously having no experience I want to start off the "right" way and ensure my libary is set up so I can go back to an early photo in either Lightroom or Photoshop and re-edit as I become more proficient. My photo's are automatically lightened after import (wihtout moving the sliders). Does anyone know how to fix this? I am on purpose shooting slightly underexposed. And LrC makes my photo's ligther, but I am loosing some details with this action from LrC. When I manualy make my pfoto's ligther I keep the details. This problem occured past few days. Weeks beofre I did not have this problem. Already removed LrC and installed again.

Here is my issue I am facing and hope somebody can help me or explain it to me. I took some room photos. The rooms have only 3 walls so the inside is darker then the outisde. So I expose my camera for he outside and then take several images with the same settings one base iamgage with out a flash and the rest using flash to brigthen the inside walls, furniture etc. In Lightroom I pick the once  I want and  adjust the expoure etc for the first image. (no flash image) I then copy the same settings to other images with the flash trying to keep the exposure for the outside but all the outside exposures getting brighter especillay in images where I have more flash or brighter flash in forground. should the outside exposure  not stay the same as no flash hit the tree or the sky . but it is sometimes 1 -2 brigther (depnding how bright the flash is in the image) then the no flash image even so all settings in the camera and in lightroom on each picture are the same .  Like

  Hello, This just started today 9-21.  Edit in Photoshop from LRC has been the busiest issue for quite some time and now it stopped working altogether. I don't want to uninstall Photoshop 24 to find out it did not solve the issue. Is anyone else having these problems or have a fix they can recommend? Charles 

I bought Lightroom on CD over a decade ago and I use it occasionally. Since last use I have upgraded my motherboard and processor and updated to W11. When I first tried to run Lightroom after these changes I was offered a 32000+ day trial with no other options to continue. I clicked "Start Trial" and Lightroom just hung. And continues to hang on multiple attempts. Is there anything I can do to resurrect Lightroom? Thanks   Alan Denby

I dont want lighroom to start detecting all the faces in my photos and showing them in the people tab. It's voyeuristic and creepy. How to stop the program from doing that?

 I'm encountering an issue with creating collages in the Lightroom Classic Print Module. When I export collages, the resulting images often appear pixelated or compressed, significantly deviating from the original photo quality.For instance, the attached photo demonstrates the quality degradation.My current workflow involves selecting photos, putting them in the custom collage spaces, clicking "Print to File," and then exporting the collage.I'm seeking guidance on how to optimize my settings or workflow to ensure that the exported collages maintain the same level of quality as the original photos.Thank you so much!

There's a photographer who made a reel "Upload sharp photos on instagram".I have a quick question: are these settings specifically for a 4x5 aspect ratio, or do they apply to any photo orientation, like horizontal or vertical? Also, when I export using these settings, I get a very large file size, around 5 to 8 MB. I really thought that the bigger the file size the more it gets compressed badly on social media. I usually export at 72 DPI instead of 240, as what this photographer suggested. Does this also work well for Facebook uploads? Thank you!

After today's (Sept 24/24) updates to PS v25.12 and LrC v13.51, PS will no longer open when trying to send an image from LrC (Photo > edit in > edit in Adobe Photoshop).  Why has this happened after today's updates?   What is the 'fix'? 

It only converted a small portion of my presets (I have hundreds and many are custom made).I have tried restarting several times and still the other presets are not converted which means they are not available in 7.3It even deleted most of my presets. Luckily I had a backup. I tried uninstalling 7.3. Reinstalled 7.2 then back to 7.3 and still same crap.Hey Adobe programers and Adobe project managers:Do you even know what you are doing any more?Do you even understand how to write software?Each time you update Lightroom you have managed to make it worse and with more bugs!Cant wait for a new editing platform to come along so we can ditch ADOBE!

when in Lightroom classic I have always used the 'edit photo in Photoshop' selection but now I get a message 'cannot connect to Photoshop 2024, reinstall'' however I have creative cloud, how do I uninstall and reinstall? 

Hey All, I shoot live music and events. I sometimes come home with thousands of images. My process is that I import all of em into Lightroom, flag the photos I edit using the star system, then filter on the unrated ones and delete those completely, including the ones on the disk. I then use an external program to geotag all of my raw images with a location. So... Lightroom doesn't know about that new geotag until I do "Read metadata from file." Problem is, that seems to wipe out all of my changes. I COULD geotag ALL of my raw's before I import - I suppose that's a workaround, but it takes FOREVER to geotag 1000s of images. I'd prefer not to do that. My question is - can you JUST import your geotag data in Lightroom? There doesn't appear to be an obvious way to do that... Thanks all! - Jon

I'm a new to photography and editing software, I was using Lightroom until someone showed me LRC, I payed for the subscription and all that and now I can't use it at all.. I keep getting some import operations were not performed Could not copy a file to the destination folder because it is not writable. if anyone could give a suggestion it would be very appreciated.this is not a Mac book, I believe it's windows.

ive been working on this almost a week now.Everytime i try to open lightroom classic an Egress IP error prevents me to do anything except close the app.I tried some of the solutions like the Config files and converting them into old config files, that didnt work.I tried deleting every single config file, didnt work.I tried deleting the entire adobe system, restarting the computer and download the applications again,...didnt work.Im getting a little frustrated at this point because i cant even access my pictures and i work a lot in photography.Can anyone fix my issue?

Em anexo o print da tela que aparece sempre que o programa é aberto. Informa que será aberto em MODO REDUZIDO. Indica que o modulo REVELAÇÂO esta desativado mesmo sem eu ter feito qualquer alteração. Tenho o plano da Adobe ( que logado aparece normal) a anos e recentemente troquei o cartão de crédito para pagamento e desde então o erro acontece. Alguém pode me dar uma luz? I love the way it works--until I noticed that it was masking into clearly defined areas of non-sky elements. I have been just going back in and painstakingly erasing/removing with a hard brush all the areas that it has softly masked so I don't get color influence in those elements. Am I doing something wrong? I follow the edit order recommended by adobe when editing images.

Hi all. I'm suddenly getting this error message when trying to export TIFs: AgStoreProviderSession:getEntityByID: id must be a number or string. Any thoughts on what's going on?

Hi everyone, I just encountered an issue that is blocking my workflow on Lightroom Classic.After updating it on 13.4 I open Lightroom Classic and every time i click on a photo the program resets all edits I did on develop module. Fortunately the "history" is unchanged and I can go back to the last settings. Anyway it is completely impossible to work properly, because if i need to export a lot of images I need to manually restore the history for every single photo. OS version: Windows 10 on AMD RyzenLR: 13.4Camera RAW: 16.4(of course i just restarted both Lightroom and PC but the issue is not solved)Hope I was able to properly explain my issue, I didn't find a direct adobe contact to report an issue other than security issues, please tell me if there is a way to do it. Issue began yesterday afternoon.  Clicked on shortcut.....nothing......for both LRC and ACC.  Will only open if RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR...for both.  I was finally able to update LRC this morning, but still shows previous version instead of newest.  Any ideas before I chuck it out the window🤪?

I've been trying to import a recent wedding shoot (something I do pretty regularly without issue), but for some weird reason, LrC is taking ages about everything. First it seemed to drag on all night (and didn't complete) creating previews, then I tried again to import and it got stuck converting the imported CR3 to dng. I managed to import the photos after numerous attempts, but I'm now converting everything to dng and it seems to 'think' about any task forever before starting.    I've increased my cache to 30gb, reduced the preview size to 2048, turned off sync for now... It 'feels' like there's an issue with the software since I've never had the problem before, and it's not like my computer is slow...    any ideas? I think I'm using the Thomas theme,  Is it possible to adjust the size of individual images within a collection/gallery.  There is no unifomity.   Some images are splashed from border to border.

LrC 13.5.1 I guess this is a recurring topic by now... but I haven't found anything recent on how to solve it for my case. Apologies if there's an existing topic. I'm struggling to download back collections that have been synced in Lr. All collections are 100% already on the cloud.In 12 hours, it went from "Syncinc 645" photos" to 540 photos.And it keeps stopping, so I have to keep restarting LrC to continue.  No issues with the connection on the laptop, 90mbps stable; it was during the night, so clearly nothing else hogging the internet.Only downloads are in the queue right now, so no conflicts of any kind. What's the suggestion of the day to solve these issues?
