Lightroom Classic

I am using the Mac (Apple M2 Max) version of Lightroom Classic, version 13.5.After updating to this version, I can no longer use keyboard shortcuts to rate photos in the second window.Is this a bug or are there secret settings in which I can reactivate this? Best regards, Bernhard

Suddenly upon import, LrC converts the NEF files to DNG files and saves them separately in the images folder. He never did that. How is this possible? How can i change this? 

Hi, I'm finding that Lightroom has started running slowly and, at times, is barely usable. I think this started after I upgraded from Windows 10 (64-bit) to Windows 11, although fellow photographers say they have no issues running Lightroom in Windows 11. I'm running Lightroom Classic 13.4. My main issues areit can take a minute to open Lightroom;the UI refreshes are so slow I can see individual menus and widgets being painted; andthe response time between moving a slider and seeing it affect the image can be seconds. I have created a 7 minute video of what I see when I do an edit that I consider reasonably straightforward. The video is 257MB, but I can upload it as chunks, if it is helpful. My questions are, is this the sort of performance I should expect and, if not, do you have any advice for me on how to improve performance? I have already done the standard things advised: a fresh install of Lightroom, setting the GPU to auto etc. I have also stopped many o

  I have 2 drives on my new Windows 11 machine C:  for applications (including Adobe) 😧  for documents, photos, LR catalogs, etc.   I also have 2 distinct LR catalogs on my D drive under PICTURES.  Land photos: MyLightroomPhotos Underwater photos: MyUnderwaterLightroomPhotos ONEDRIVE set up a new LR catalog on my C drive (automatically) which I don’t want and haven’t opened.    Question 1:  CAN I JUST DELETE the ONEDRIVE Lightroom Catalog on the C drive??? Question 2:  CAN I TURN OFF ONEDRIVE ALL TOGETHER? Question 3:  Why would the D drive catalog (“MyLighroomPhotos”) pull in my entire D drive (including all videos, documents, pictures, etc, including 141 (of 13,000) images from MyUNDERWATERLightroomPhotos catalog? Question 4:  I can use the command ”remove from lightroom” to get all the misc. documents, videos, and unrelated pictures out of my MyLighroomPhotos hierarchy/catalog – BUT - if I try and move the MyUNDERWA

Hi!I just updated my lightroom classic to version 10 and all my pictures transformed a lot brighter after opening them in the 'develop module'. First it looks like it is loading the preview in cache (normal exposure in lightroom 9). After that a new preview is made which appears a lot brighter (too bright in my eyes). Also the histogram is chaning. I also tried exporting a picture with exactly the same settings, the one exported with lighthroom 10 comes out a lot brighter / overexposed compared to the one exported in version 9.x.After some research it seems that this is only happening with the photos coming from my R5. But it affects (in a bad way) all my edits I have done in the past weeks. The photo's from my 5d IV and 5d III are not changing. Can someone explain how this could happen and if there maybe is a solution. Thanks a lot in advance! 

Hi everyone,If I remember well, when selecting multiple images and typing in a caption, the caption was added to all selected photos. Now it ads the caption to the first image only...Is there something I must be missing?Thanks! MacOS

Hi - I have the most current version of LRC and also camera raw. I'm trying to import a folder of raw files but LRC seems to be treating them as if they already exist in the catalog, which they don't. The import button stays grey. If I create an empty catalog they import without any problem. I don't want to discard my existing catalog. Quick question: is there an API to apply an existing  filenamePreset?I see photo:applyMetadataPreset( presetId ) but not the equivalent for filenamePresetsIs there another method that must be used?. 

I just update lightroom classic with 13.5 on my mac m2pro and sonoma 14.6.1 and I was working at a photo and I should do an automatic mask all kind(subject, background or radial or linear mask) the image disappear and the screen become black or white. I m never have this kind of problem on this section on developing tool, happen after the 13.5 update. I attached a radial mask image. Hi everybody,  I am not sure when the latest update happened but now I am missing a number of recent folders in my most recent catalog. Strangely enough, older ones are still there and the latest two are there as well but the ones in between are not. So I tried looking for them and I have saved them on my external hard drive per usual, but for some reason, I can't find them in Lightroom.  So I thought maybe I just look at an earlier version, and then I get asked to back up - and that is not working either  (see screenshot). I looked here in the forum, but I can't seem to find the answer. Short of re-importing all those folders and starting work on them again, I am at a loss. Oh, and I have plenty of space ... so not sure why that would be an issue. Plus of course, the backup not working is not helping as I may lose them again if I don't back up... Any clever ideas what I can do?

I do not see the option to set a B&W or Color treatment in the Basic Panel. I am using version 13.4 release on MacOS Sonoma. Bonjour, Depuis quelques semaines, j'ai rencontré un problème avec Lightroom Classic. Lorsque je clique sur l'application .exe dans l'explorateur de fichiers ou sur le launcher de Creative Cloud, je vois le curseur de la souris en mode chargement pendant quelques secondes, puis plus rien ne se passe. L'application apparaît dans le gestionnaire des tâches comme un "processus en arrière-plan". J'ai remarqué que les autres applications de Creative Cloud, telles que Photoshop, passent en "Applications" une fois lancées, après avoir été en "processus en arrière-plan". Cependant, ce n'est pas le cas de Lightroom Classic, qui reste bloqué en "processus en arrière-plan" (voir capture d'écran ci-jointe).Pour résoudre ce problème, j'ai bien sûr vérifié les mises à jour de Windows et de Lightroom Classic, désinstallé et réinstallé l'application, et effectué des recherches, dont deux solutions que j'ai trouvées dans ces posts (https://helpx.adobe.com/fr/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.h

I am having an issue after updating Lr Classic to 13.5, all my sync images are getting updated with a custom WB, it's affecting the whole catalog. A new entry was added in the history log, changes from Lr mobile, I didn't used Lr mobile. best regards,Rafael

Bonjour à tous,Je me permets de vous écrire car nous rencontrons un souci quant à l’application « Lightroom Classic ».Depuis quelques jours nous ne pouvons plus lancer l’application, nous avons le message « le catalogue Lightroom « … » est corrompu ».Le processus de réparation se lance mais une fois terminé, nous avons le message suivant qui apparait sur le bureau :L’application ne se lance pas et nous sommes obligé de forcer l’application à se fermer via le « gestionnaire de tache ».Nous avons essayé de lancer l’application avec « ALT » afin de forcer la réparation du catalogue mais rien ne se passe. L’application ne veut pas se lancer.Nous ne savons pas s’il y a une incidence mais notre quota cloud a augmenté subitement sans que nous comprenions la raison.  Nous avons 16 Go de disponible sur le C : sur nos 250 Go et nous avons un autre disque ou sont synchronisées nos photos ou il reste presque 1To.Nous allons

Why? Why is Adobe making ANY change to my export settings? Right click, pick a folder - choose a folder, pick a format - choose JPEG. I generally go 80% quality. Used to be simple. Now... it's changed. I get it? Adobe wants folk to use DNG files (it's Adboe's afterall). But I want to use JPEG. WHY!!! is the option not available? Here are my screen shots when I try to export jpegs. There is no option top change to JPEG. I've had options to change to JPEG before any updates. The below is greyed out.    

Hello Adobe Community,   I'm encountering a persistent issue in Lightroom Classic where, after cropping an image to a 4:5 aspect ratio, the exported image does not match the expected dimensions. Specifically, when I crop an image to 4:5 and attempt to export it with a width of 1080 pixels and a height of 1350 pixels, Lightroom instead exports the image with dimensions of 1080 x 864 pixels.   What I’ve Tried: Setting the crop aspect ratio to 4:5 and ensuring the orientation is correct. Using the "Long Edge" export setting at 1350 pixels. Manually setting the export dimensions to 1080 pixels (width) and 1350 pixels (height). Resetting Lightroom preferences and reinstalling the application   Despite these steps, Lightroom consistently exports the image at 1080 x 864 pixels, which does not match the intended 4:5 aspect ratio. I added around 1300 pictures to quick collection. These pictures also contained stacked pictures.Saving quick collection to a "regular" collection the stacks are not shown in this new collection.When going to orgin folder in library the stack is shown.LR 13.5Is this a feature or just an error/bug?

Ojala fuera como Photoshop la opcion de remover o borrar para aprovechar mas el tiempo

Maybe all I need to do is to 'paint' in various intensities for a mask but I'm not aware of a blur effect in Lightroom like you can do in Photoshop. It would be great to 'paint' selected areas that could be then affected with a gradient effects like blur.. Is this possible and how should it be done?

My external hard drive with LR catalog and photos died and I want to restore LR from my time machine hard drive. How do I get the time machine hard drive to become main drive for my LR?thank youjeff
