Hi all, I’ve been casually using Lightroom on my iPad/phone for 18 months or so now and am starting to use LRC, I’ve just come back from a trip and want to import/organise all of my pictures in my cloud storage, and then remove them from my PC to save space.Everything I imported previously from my iPad is stored in albums, which are organised in to folders. When I open LRC on my PC, I can’t see any of the folders I created on my iPad in the folder section - which I understand is because “Folders” represents where they are on my PC, not where they are in the cloud? So if I organised my pictures using the “Folders” feature, then deleted the files from my PC I assume I’d lose the organisation?I also see the “Collections” section, which is where all of my previously created albums are located but rather than being organised within folders they’re all in one long list organised under the “From Lightroom” heading. I mainly wanted to use LRC as an import tool, as it’s easier to connect my cam
As a user who trusts the Adobe RAW Engine, I strongly object to Lightroom being marketed as a "Retouching tool."Development is not Retouching: "Development" is about extracting truth from light, while "Retouching" is about adding fiction. Adobe has the world's best RAW engine; do not diminish its value with a cheap label. Focus on Quality over Gimmicks: Features like the "Remove" panel are currently not at a professional level. Instead of promoting these "useless" AI features, Adobe should focus on perfecting the pure RAW development process. Please bring back the pride of being the world's best "RAW Development Software." We want a digital darkroom, not a casual editing app
Since the update my lightroom has been incredibly slow. I really am unable to even work within it.
I have been able to see those options, up by the Histogram before.
I have more than a hundred folders on a drive and need to move some of them to a different drive. I’m working on a 27” iMac. I can’t drag the folder to the other drive because the screen doesn’t scroll down to where the other drive is (visually). If I could right click on the folder I want to move it would be more convenient. But this doesn’t seem possible. Any solution to the dragging approach?
I’m noticing that the left hand panel in Lightroom Classic scrolls really sluggishly and jerks / jumps around. I’m running MacOS 26.4 and it has been like this for quite some time (not just on 26).It’s really hard to scroll precisely, you have to sort of wait for it to catch up. Rather annoying.
I use lrc 15.2 on macbook pro [new m5pro with 48g ram]I found that the disk was written in a huge amount, reaching 10GB in about 10 minutes. The corresponding process is launcher. Then I used the sudo fs_usage - w - f file sys command to finally locate the file/private/var/folders/g8/47gdc5wn4yx370flbr2cms5m0000gn/T/cr_ sdk_00258352. tmp to write, which may be cr_stk_00xxxxx. tmp. These files have been continuously written but not read. My temporary solution is to create a ramdisk and mount it to/private/var/folders/g8/47gdc5wn4yx370flbr2cms5m0000gn/T to slow down hard disk consumption.
To find AI Edit Status which setting can I use to create a smart collection?
I need to adjust all images in a collection to -24 tint while keeping the temp the same. Is there any way to do this?
I am working on one LR classic catalogue with smartpreviews offline.ISSUE : When i select 10 images and apply preset it applies but then i go to correct some sliders only the first one selected of 10 gets change and remaining 9 stays within the previoulsy applied preset.Same thing when i work with full resolution data works just fine. What can be the issue and the solution ?Since I edit few 100’s of images daily I need to work smartpreview with latest update to speed up my tasks as 50 megapixel full resolution in develop module takes some time with masking and things .
Set a custom color profile in the Print module, then switch to another module and back. The choice is not preserved. In general the color profile selection is not preserved. I have to reset it every time. I've tried all workarounds I could find online.
I took a photograph of people riding on a bus, from the outside of the bus. As expected, there are window reflections on it. I tried to remove the reflections in LRC but it did not remove any of them. Moving the slider to -100 shows a black image, indicating LRC did not find reflections. I opened the same image in Camera Raw, and there the reflections were mostly removed. Moving the slider to -100 shows what Camera Raw detected as reflections. I don’t understand what is going on. Can you help? Recently (current install) when l import my NEF images they appear as grey pictures in both library & developer view, it has not done this previously, when l select an image the picture will appear and stay displayed until l select roughly the next 4th or 5th image then the previous one will go back to being greyed out. I have tried refresh of Windows 11 and reinstalled Lightroom classic but no change.2 screen shots from Library View and Develop View
I received a batch of DNG files from one of our freelance photographers that have small previews. I imported these into Lightroom with the expectation of being able to export a new batch of DNG files with full-size previews. However, all I can get is files with the same small previews. There are 2 reasons I need full size previews.1-We use Photo Mechanic for culling and ordering images before renaming and processing them through LR.2-Our DAM relies on extracting the JPEG embedded in the DNG files for downloading. Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is there really no way to force LR to create a DNG file from scratch with a larger preview? Thanks,
Using a new Windows PC. LRC ran perfectly well until I installed the latest update. From that moment the Assisted Culling demo pop-up appeared every time I tried to import images. I’ve rebooted many times, used tips to do an action first and tried turning off the assisted culling. I don’t need it or want to use it.
I have a reproducible issue where Lightroom Classic (15.3) does not recognize the GPU on my Mac Studio (M1 Ultra). macOS 26.4.1 GPU shows 0.0 MB / not supported “Use GPU” is greyed out Denoise returns: “Requested adjustment is not applicable” Important: The exact same setup works on a MacBook (same macOS, same LR version, same files). GPU is recognized and Denoise works there. Already tried: Reset preferences Clean reinstall Cleared Camera Raw cache Tested with single display System reports GPU + Metal correctly (system_profiler). → Seems Lightroom fails to detect GPU on this Mac Studio only. Anyone seeing the same on Mac Studio?
Adobe Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC both freezing/turning white and showing "Not Responding" during basic use (browsing photos, editing sliders, zooming). Started on or around 28-Apr-2026. I have used Lightroom CC for 11 months, and this is the first time it has acted up this bad. I have written my hardware and everything i attempted to do to fix this issue. This post applies to Lightroom Classic and the Lightroom Ecosystem products.Post Camera Raw feedback here This thread is now closed. Please update to LrC 14.x or LrD 8.x. If you wish to provide feedback, please go to the new article. The Lightroom team is sharing an early look at Generative Remove, which makes it easier to remove unwanted objects and distractions, even on complex backgrounds, with a simple brush stroke. Generative Remove is powered by Firefly AI. How to use Generative Remove on a desktop: You can find Generative Remove under the newly renamed Remove panel (aka “Heal”). Make sure the “generative AI” checkbox is enabled before you start brushing (note: when unchecked, Lightroom will use Content-Aware Remove to fill your brushed spots). By default, you will be given a moment to refine your selection with an add or subtract brush. Remember to include shadows for a more accurate result! You can also skip this step by holding down ‘CTRL’ on windows or ‘CMD’ o
Hi. I’m trying to work with Lightroom Classic on two computers - a Windows PC (my main machine) and a MacBook. All my photos are stored on a Synology NAS, which I access via SMB. However, I keep separate catalogs locally on each computer. The problem is that as soon as I import into the Mac any photos that were previously imported on Windows, Lightroom on Windows becomes extremely slow to start. The next time I try to launch it, nothing happens sometimes even for up to 30 minutes. It’s a lottery, sometimes it starts in 1 minute, sometimes 15 or 30. The process appears in task manager and I can see that it heavily uses the network connection to the NAS. I can also hear the NAS drives working intensively, so Lightroom is clearly reading a lot of data. Why is this happening and how can I fix that? Why is it a problem if catalogs are separate and only source files are shared? It also has trouble reading and writing metadata to TIFF files. Sometimes it shows that metadata has been changed and
I have tried to restore 2 different backups. It start the first time , but does not show picture when I change folder. Stays stuck when getting out saying He must save ;XMPs but I didn’t touch any picture.Refuse to restart with same problem as shown.Tried the script for permissions without success.Reports send to Adobe.Picture and XMPs visible in Bridge and Camera raw.
I believe it could be helpful and not too difficult for Adobe smart guys to create.
I have selected multiple photos in the library module and try to apply a caption to all of them but only the ‘most’ selected gets the caption. I believe this previously worked fine. Lightroom Classic 15.3 (most recent build), camera raw 18.3. Images from Nikon Zf. I have shown the steps in the attachment.
I just updated my lightroom classic app and lost all of my photos that I have uploaded. Not all of them were saved to my hard drive. I am incredibly upset and have no clue what to do. I was paid for this photoshoot.
