With v12.3 and running Ventura 13.3.1a, Classic is using a massive amount of cpu/gpu when viewing an image in Develop. On my M1 Max/64GB, Lr is doing nothing and using 65% GPU and 500% CPU. I can let the machine idle for as long as i want, and the usage doesn't change. Nothing is happening in Lr other than viewing the image in Develop. If i render Smarts and set the pref to use SP in Develop, the issue does not change. Does anyone know what's happening here?
So basically using the transform tool in LRC there seems to be a bigger step on the LOUPE window when im trying to be intricate. Is there a way to make the step smaller/smoother? Running a pretty decent PC so i dont think/hope not the card.... any help appreciated. Thanks
Hi everyone, I've noticed this weird issue where my imported photo previews are always corrupted. It looks like a bunch of random colours and pixels. Has anyone experienced this & if so, did you manage to solve it?
It's a very simple piece of code. For some reason, it is not reflected when the Temperature or Tnt value is 0.Please let me know if there are any mistakes. local LrApplication = import 'LrApplication'local LrDialogs = import 'LrDialogs'local LrTasks = import 'LrTasks'local function applyFixedTemperature()local catalog = LrApplication.activeCatalog()LrTasks.startAsyncTask(function()local photos = catalog:getTargetPhotos()local numSelectedPhotos = #photoscatalog:withWriteAccessDo("Apply Temperature", function()for i, photo in ipairs(photos) dolocal settings = photo:getDevelopSettings()settings.IncrementalTemperature = 5photo:applyDevelopSettings(settings)endend)LrDialogs.message("Message", tostring(numSelectedPhotos) .. " photos temperature adjustment completed", "info")end)endapplyFixedTemperature()
Hi, I need your help. I Upgraded lrc from v 11 to v13.2, and went to v13.3. Since v13.2, it became unusably slow, changing sliders, brush masking, undo und redo, just everything I do takes too long to be apllied. Also, when intruducing keywords, it just tapes the first letter, applies it as a keyword and the rest of the letters it applies the respective shortcut. As I couldn't work this way, I tried to reinstal an older version, but v11 wasn't available anymore so I installed v12. But there's another problem, the smart previews are all gone (the catalog file, previews and every file next to the the catalog turned gray in the folder on my computer), every photo takes too long to load, and the first letter issue persists. I'm running a 2015 macbook pro retina with os 12.7.1. Don't understand much of computer specs but it seems I'm inside the recommended requirements. I really need lightroom working and don't need what its there from v11 forward, so I would be very happy to comeback
Hello, is it possible to downgrade to Lightroom classic v11?
I upgraded LrC to 13.3 last week and have enjoyed using the new features, on my Windows 23H2 desktop. However, I am experiencing inconsistent odd behaviours;. extended wait between clicking 'close' and the backup dialogue appearing, mostly but not always. twice recently when I re-opened LrC strange configurations of screens and views appeared. randomly looking through some image file meta-data and noticed 2 fields that should have been "0" but were null; strangely they accepted being edited to "0" Always hated inconsistent faults, luckily I'm retired now 🙂
After updating today to 13.3 I keep getting the error below when trying to create virtual copies. """ ?:0: attempt to index a nil value ''''' Any idea what is going on? Also when I updated I had to update my catalog. Since then I have done a bunch of adding photos and editing. If I try and revert to the previous version of LRC, will it recognize the catalog?
Running LRC 13.3 (Camera Raw 16.3) on an M1 Mac. Mousing over an image in Develop mode shows the magnifying glass and I'm unable to access edit-in plugins. Restarts of no help.
Hi there,I recently posted however unfortunately was not able to resolve the problem. I am having difficulty locating some files in LRC. I believe it is due to the file location changing (long story everything on computer was wiped) I have files backed up to my external hardrive. I have shown LRC the new file location (external hard drive) when prompted to locate the files. It then goes into compolete meltdown and deletes all images in my catalogue. I have two videos showing the problem hopefully they will help. Please see the youtube link here - https://youtu.be/Zooj8s8nFw0https://youtu.be/uksvk6FGenI If anyone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated.
When I installed Lightroom Classic to a new computer many photos have black bands across them. Photos are stored on Lacie. They are ok in Lightroom. Any thoughts on how to resolve problem? If I uninstall and reinstall will my edits be saved?
Hi When using some of sliders in Lightroom Classic (e.g. temperature), the changes to the image are significantly delayed. But they are instant when I'm using keyboard. This looks like a kind of bug, because I see GPU load while the image is not changing. When using keyboard, there is similar load on GPU, but changes are instant. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix or workaround? I recorded screen to make it easier to understand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90lQDo-eksk Video demonstrates this on 24Mpix file, Win11, LrC 13.3, HW: i7-12700F, 32GB, NVidia 3060 12GB.
Issue:Since upgrade to Lightroom Classic 13.0, and later to 13.0.1 LR crashes often when workin in library module or in development. Steps to reproduce:It often happens, when I am changeing back from a single image view to grid mode, but very often it just crashes during other actions in library or development module. Usually I can work 2 to max 30 minutes, before LR crashes. Sometimes, it just crashes, although I did no action. I am working with a catalogue with about 100000 photos, but I tested it with a smaller catalogue. It also crashed. Expected result:run stable for hours. I need to re-create my Lightroom catalog as I suspect the existing catalog is corrupt as it cannot be backed up. I've hired consultants to help but only result now is I've created a new empty catalog and found that indeed it can be backed up. So now for the second step. bringing in the existing library of photos so that it shows up nice and organized as it did in the old catalog. I've tried importing twice now and wind up with a mess both times. Where can I find straightforward help to accomplish this? TIA,Ken
GM,I updated to version 13.3 but I am unable to find the new Adaptive portrait feautre that I was told about. Was there something additional i need to do to implement that ?THX
On a Mac, after installing all of my presets, and changing the names of the presets within LR, how can I do a backup of everything so I can transfer my presets to another Mac so they install and display in the exact same way on the other computer? I found info online how to backup the folder containing the presets, though what about the names that I changed within LR for the presets? Thanks in advance
Bonjourdepuis quelques mois , dans LRC apres importation photos dans le module developpement , sous l icone masquage , apparait un point rouge alors que je n ai encore fait aucun post traitement ni masquagecomment résoudre ce problememerciEG
After upgrade to Lightroom 13.3 a zoom in/out on photo in a gallery sets the photo for Republisch. Windows 11, Lightroom 13.3 Issues is repetable. Solution is to rebuild 1:1 pre-view and then run "jf-bag-o-goodies" plugin to set photos for "Mark selected publish Collections As Up to Date. But preview in Lightroom should not promote an update of the photo for republishing.
On 2 different destop computers (Windows 11 and 10) , LR 13.2 has been crashing several times at the beginning of printing, although it does not happen every time. Printer is Epson P900.A dump report was created and sent to Adobe (maybe Adobe France as I am located there ?).Did you receive these reports and found a solution ?Thanks,Bernard
Hi, after installing version 13.3 I am having a problem with the font sizes on the secondary monitor. I am using a surface pro 8 and have the font size in the preferences -interface scale set to large 200%. I often use lightroom on an LG 50 inch TV to review photos with my family. I recently upgraded to 13.3, and suddenly on my TV the interface and fonts were huge, barely could see 1 picture in the grid, I tried to adjust the interface size but couldn't even get to the bottom of the interface menu to hit OK. Went back to displaying on surface, reset the font to medium, and most of the fonts were fixed except for right clicking menus and the top menu bar with file etc. Program is useable but less than ideal with this setting. Also any menus with checkboxes (likely the copy settings menu in the develop module) are cropped where only the botton 3/4 of the words display). when I go back to my surface, I have to reset the font preferences back
Hi! I updated my lightroom and woah, its been terrible. First, my editing slowed waaaaaay down. every single tool I used, the screen would freeze, the little pin wheel popped up and started spinning. my workflow pretty much destroyed. I deleted LR, and reinstalled it. did all the things, finally called support. They took over the controls of my computer and we came to conclude that the catalog was "no good" so I started a new one. I just imported my photos from tonight and guess what, same issues. The tools are incredibly slow and not responsive, not to mention the masks are really messed up. When I click select subject, it selects everything, its not detecing the subject, sky or background! I don't really know what to do here, anyone else having issues with the newest LR update ??? The attached photos are "select subject" clearly the entire photo is chosen. When I compare it to select background, the opacity is slightly more than when I select subject, but either way the en
