What is this icon in the red box in the screen capture below from this thread? I can hover my mouse over the icon and see the names of two people (whose avatar is shown). Why are these two people shown? They did not click on “Like”. They did not respond to this thread. Why are they shown here?
Lightroom recently added more precision into the timestamp metadata. 99% of the time this is not useful to my workflow and confuses my brain for a moment while I try to understand what I’m looking at. It would be great to have the option to show only hours:minutes:seconds and hide the milliseconds.
this would be a huge help. The auto mask feature is sometimes very useful, but other times, I felt myself weighing the pro's and cons of bringing the image into photoshop simply to be able to use the pen tool. I really wish Adobe would consider bringing the pen tool to the LR adjustment brush menu's Thanks
Implement the pen system from photoshop and illustrator as a masking tool in LR classic. Auto mask and object selection are TERRIBLE. I spend an insane amount of time cleaning up the terrible selection job that the forced automatic system does, when if I was in photoshop I could just go and pen out a mask, set the feather selection manually, and then my mask would be complete in minutes instead of killing half my afternoon fighting with the poorly coded “AI” driven automatic selection system. Please stop forcing automatic selection systems on us and give us back user control.
When working in the newest Lightroom Classic with masks of multiple people, when I sync the masks across images, the masks are not finding the individual people and are all clumping onto one person. In an image with even just 2 people in the same spots, I go to masks, let it find the people, click on each person, click to add faces for each, make sure it would be for separate masks. Then I edit each face mask. When I sync from one image to another, those masks don't find both people. They layer onto one person. What the heck is going on. I did a screen recording of this process. LR Masking not syncing PLEASE HELP!!! Shawn
Lightroom Classic fails to correctly identify and assign the proper Tokina lens profile when the Tokina AT-X 24–70mm F2.8 PRO FX (F-mount) is used on a Nikon Z 7 II (via FTZ adapter).Instead of resolving to the Tokina lens profile, Lightroom shows only “Integrated” under Lens Corrections. The same lens is correctly identified and mapped to the Tokina profile when used on a Nikon D750.Environment:Camera (problem case): Nikon Z 7 II Firmware: 1.62 Camera (working comparison): Nikon D750 Lens: Tokina AT-X 24–70mm F2.8 PRO FX (F-mount) Adapter: Nikon FTZ Software: Adobe Lightroom Classic (latest version)Observed Metadata Differences (ExifTool):Working file (D750):Lens Data Version: 0204 Lens ID Number: 0 Lightroom correctly assigns Tokina profileNon-working file (Z 7 II):Lens Data Version: 0801 Lens ID Number: 0 Lightroom shows only “Integrated”Manual profile corrections do not auto-resolve to TokinaExifTool correctly resolves the Composite LensID in both files:“Tokina AT-X 24-70 F2.8 PRO
As an architectural photographer, I am constantly reaching for the fantastic guided transform tool to straighten things out. The one thing I can think of that would make the tool better would be if the lines automatically snapped to edges it sees in the photo. It would make setting the lines much easier using a laptop trackpad in particular, but even a mouse can be jumpy when you’re looking at the loupe view to snap your lines. Of course, I would want a modifier key to temporarily disable the snap feature if for any reason it wasn’t doing what I wanted.
I frequently find the loupe info overlay view options frustratingly limited. It’s a great tool to have, but to me it would be more useful if I could set a few more lines of info and toggle it on & off with the keyboard shortcut as opposed to cycling through two more limited sets of info. It would also be nice to be able to set the font color, opacity, and size. I made a mockup to show what could be:Loupe info 1Loupe info 2Loupe info concept

catalog:getCurrentViewFilter() doesn't report the new Stack options in Library Filter's Attribute bar. This affects the popular commands Back To Previous and Forward To Next Source/Filter/Selection of my Any Source plugin. When this is fixed, be sure to test catalog:setViewFilter() as well. To reproduce on LR 15.0 / Mac OS 15.7.1, run my Debugging Toolkit's Debug Script command:
Lightroom Classic crashes when backing up catalog and looking at preferences, and doing an integrity check. I'm running Lightroom Classic on a new MAC with Sonoma and I've recently upgraded all my external hard drives. I'm a photographer for the USA Today and have an enormous catalog. My crash report header is below - the full report is beyond enornmous. My catalog is over 4 gig. Lightroom Classic crashes during the integrity check. I've reset preferenes during startup. I've uninstalled Lightroom today and reinstalled the latest from Adobe CC. Neither of those options have helped. I've tried backing up my catalog to 3 other external hard drives and also to the local MAC hard disk - no luck and no success with any of that. Restart, Reboot - nothing works. Help, please. -------------------------------------Translated Report (Full Report Below)------------------------------------- Process: Adobe Lightroom Classic [694]Path: /Applications/Adobe Light
I have a Macbook Pro M4 Pro chip, using MacOS Sequoia 15.5 with 48GB of memory. I am using version 14.4 of Lightroom classic with Camera Raw 17.4. My Lightroom keeps crashing, with no particular pattern that I can pick up. Is there any fix or anything I can do to resolve the issue? Your help would be appreciated.
Windows 11 21H2 If you shut down Lightroom Classic 11.3.1 with the Library Module showing, then re-launch later, the Map Module works fine. If you shut down Lightroom Classic 11.3.1 with the Map Module showing, and then re-launch later, the Map Module is not usable. The exact form of the error changes, its not always the same, sometimes I get JavaScript error, sometimes the Map Module just freezes, other times it has other errors, but the Map Module simply doesn't work in this situation.
i cannot remove a photo (or group of photos) from a collection. when i right click onthe selected photos, my only choice is to remove photos, and i click remove, it says that i can't delete phots from within a collection. I'm not trying to delete them (from LRC or my disk) i just don't want them in the collection. There is no option to to "remove from collection"

My last iPhone photo import was on Christmas Day (25 Dec 2025). Today, a LIghtroom Classic import either identifies a very small number of year+ old photos that have already been imported or says “no photos found’; it’s inconsistent. I am on an old iMac (late 2015) running the latest macOS supported by that hardware (Monterey 12.7.6) and Lightroom Classic 13.5.1.This is a new problem.I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to get things working again.

Hi! so i realised my backup was on the same hard drive as the original file. (i have 2 internal harddrives, one just for photography) so i tried to do the right thing and set the backup up on the other hard drive. Oh man, its been a nightmare! I have googled and read til my eyes bleed! I get the permissions thing. more googling, and some guy says set up and everybody and give full access, in desperation i tried it but my pc did not like it!! I have read about it here too, but my system doesnt match! I’m not sure im understanding, is it permissions to my hard drives? or within lightroom? I am using windows 10, waiting for the 11 upgrade! all the threads i bring up are so old, that the stream of commands are not on my pc! where do i find these permissions please? for now i have simply copied the LRCAT file to my backup hard drive, but doing that every day is a pain! I have tried to set up a new catalogue as some seem to get that to work, but even though i know exactly where the catalog
