Is there any downside to applying “remove chromatic aberrations" to all files? Normally only certain images show chromatic aberration, such as wide-angle images of buildings or trees against a sky.Is there any reason not to simply apply the correction to an entire folder, even though many of the images don’t show any aberration? Looking at the files in Lightroom Classic I can't see any effect on those without any chromatic aberration.I am working on a project involving thousands of 20-year-old canon files. Back then, both lenses and sensors produced more chromatic aberration than they do today.Any thoughts?

Ich verwalte in LR Classic eine umfangreiche Stichwortliste.Immer wieder passiert es, dass ein Stichwort in einer anderen Gruppe, oft in der obersten Ebene vergeben werden, ohne dass ich sie dort eingetragen hätte.Hier ein Beispiel:Ich habe eine Gruppe "Familie" erstellt, in der verschiedene Namen als Gruppe der nächsten Ebene von mir angelegt wurden.  Dann erscheint an anderer Stelle entweder noch einmal unter der obersten Ebene die Gruppe "Familie" mit einer Untergruppe mit einem Namen und einer geringen Anzahl von Bildern, die ich dort nie hinzugefügt habe.Hat jemand eine Idee, wie das zustande kommen kann?Und wichtig wäre mir eine Lösung, wie ich die Eintragungen, die in einer nicht gewollten Gruppe auftauchen, der richtigen Person in der richtigen Gruppe zugeordnet werden können.Bisher habe ich tausende Bilder nacheinander markiert und geprüft, ob ein Bild in der falschern Gruppe auftaucht. Greetings!I updated LR Classic to 15.2 a few days ago and am unable to import “new” panoramic photos that I create in a new subfolder within the folder structure. Additionally, I started a new batch/project that I imported after the upgrade. To start my project in LR, I first import the folder(s) and files and then start my editing tasks.My workflow is to choose my series of photos in LR with which I want to create a panoramic photo in PS. I then pass them to PS using LR: Edit In> Merge to Panorama in Photoshop. The files are passed to PS and merged/edited/flattened to my satisfaction. I save the panorama in PS, but within the folder structure I create a new subfolder titled “Panoramas” with the very first panorama that I create for this new batch of photos/project in the PS save image dialogue box. I then create additional panoramic photos as I wish and store them in this Panoramas subfolder. This is the workflow that I’ve been using for years.When I return to Lightroom, this time,

Na ferramenta “Cortar” quando escolhemos a opção “Personalizar”, podia dar a hipótese de personalizarmos por escrito o tamanho que queremos realmente cortar a fotografia. Desta forma não teria que trabalhar as fotos no Lr do iPad e depois ter de passar para o Lr do computador para poder realmente personalizar o corte como quero. Isto facilitava imenso na questão de corte para redes sociais como Instagram (corte de foto para paisagem por ex.).

I’ve tried the ‘autosync’ reply and can’t get it to work.   Any other ideas.  Would *really* be a time saver?   And WHY was the code changed from the previous working version.   I have v 15.1.1

I have recently run into an issue where very dark shadows are being clipped in Lightroom Classic and Adobe Camera Raw. No issue in Photoshop. MacBook Pro M3 MaxmacOS 15.6.1Photoshop 26.10.0Lightroom Classic 14.5.1 I noticed this issue with macOS 15.5.0 and the previous releases of PS and LRC. I updated everything to the latest as of this morning, rebooted multiple times, and the issue still exists. The issue happens when:Using the built-in display of my MacBook and the stock Apple XDR profiles or custom profiles I created with my Calibrite Display Plus HL.Using my external 24" LG 4K display with custom profiles created with my Calibrate Display Plus HL. The issue DOES NOT happen when I set the display to use a generic profile like Display P3. Disabling GPU acceleration in LRC improves the problem (less clipping) but doesn't completely get rid of it. The issue also happens when using Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop as filter on a layer. I updated Calibra

How can I add additional aspect ratios as a saved preset to my crop tool? I’m tired of entering them manually each time and would like to save them for future use.

I’ve tried every twist possible. I have lots of details (pasted here) and will attach a diagnostic zip file.I’m having trouble with Lightroom Classic 15.x upon closing. I am trying to start Lightroom Classic and I am getting this errorLightroom.exe System error The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140u.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.I have uninstalled and reinstall and still getting the same error

When I want to use background mask (AI) it looks likes it starts (small box on the left pops up for a second or 2) and then it dissapear. Same with selecting people in masks. He won't find any people, while there is a whole person in the whole photo, can't miss it. And it doesn't say it can't find people, it just doesn't do it. It stays empty. It worked perfectly till I updated to 15.2. Want my previous version back, can't work like this. I made a video of it, so you can see the problem. 

With Lightroom Classic 15.2 on Mac (Sequoia 15.7.3) the Auto Import function does not work if the filename contains the danish letter å and Å.It does however work if the filename contains the danish letters æ and øFiles with å or Å stays in the Watched folder without being imported

In the latest updated of Lightrrom the denoise feature has gotten much smoother. Instead of saving a new DNG-file next to the originial image it does some internal magic. I have noticed thet the catalogue get huge though. It grows very rapidly. Mines has double the last few days of editing. This is a problem as the backups is also getting very large. I prefered haviing the DNG-file together with the picture not being backuped all the time. Why is this? Is there any way to get around this? Like removing some denoise data for older photos and being able to recreate it later if needed? Why does all this data gets saved into the backup?

I need a plugin for Lightroom Classic that allows me to automatically apply background transparency and apply an image that I load to the background of a series of images in print mode.

Hi everyone,I had to replace the hard drive on my MacBook Pro, which uses Monterey and cannot be updated.I was using Lightroom Classic v.13, but I can no longer download that version from Creative Cloud because, unlike Photoshop or other software, the menu with the three dots only shows the Available Plug-ins option and no longer allows me to download previous versions. This was possible until recently. What can I do? I can't change computers right now, and I need the software (which I pay for) to work. Thank you.IP 

I cannot create a Mask since LrC v15.2 installed.Steps to reproduce: In Develop module, click on Mask icon, select subject nothing happens.Select object and draw round the subject, the Masks panel briefly appears then disappears but no mask is selected.Repeated the process on other photos with a very clearly defined subject and had the same result.I’ve re-installed v15.1.1 and used select subject on the same photo and it worked perfectly.Windows 11 Pro 25H2 Build 26200.7840 Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super

The sky detection mask stopped working. When I click on “sky” icon, the “detecting sky” message comes up for a split second, but nothing. Also the mask and brush selections work intermittently - I can’t tell when or why.I re-installed lighroom, switched GPU on and off in lighroom settings. Any help?UPDATE: I reset all the preferences (shift + option ) on startup and that seems to have resolved it.

Dear,I would like to know how to obfuscate or protect Lua Lightroom plugins. The SDK manual tells just to compile, but with well known decompilers I can recover the source code without any problem.I have tried Hercules-Obfuscator, and some online obfuscators, but they do corrupt the code. They brake the code in: Changing the names of table’s keys that Lightroom need to know (for instance “LrPluginName” in Info.Lua Changing names of exported functions/variables in one file and then it can not be recognized in another one. If I make a file “helpers”  that returns “{ onefunc(), anotherfunc()}” the obfuscators I tryed change the exported names and can not call them from another file with requiere(‘helper’)  and  helpers.onefunc() Probably other parts I have tried turning on and off hercules options, but failed to be able to run the plugin Is there any way to protect the code?

I have a library of around 200k images held in folders in date order. I like to have standard previews built so that I am not waiting for images to load for a particular folder before inspecting them.  So  when trying to build standard previews for large nyumbers of images, it takes just one flaky image to stop the whole process and trying to find the one image that is preventing preview build, it is highly frustrating.  Why on earth can’t the code be written in such a way, that if it takes too long to build a preview, just mark it as broken and move onto the next?  Or at least telll me which image is causing trouble?Thanks
