Adobe has this document about HDR support in iOS up to version 17, https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/using/hdr-ios.linkfree.html but we’re now up to iOS 26. I was wondering what is the best way to export from lightroom to iOS while keeping HDR intact, today. Also, is there a way to request an update from Adobe to the article?
I’d like to request a feature that would significantly improve Lightroom Classic as a media catalog, especially for modern hybrid photo/video creators. Request:Please allow Lightroom Classic to catalog and display unsupported video files (thumbnail + basic metadata + tagging), even if playback or editing is not supported. To be very clear:I am not asking for editing, scrubbing, reframing, or decoding support.I only want the file to be visible in the catalog so I know it exists. Why this mattersMany of us use Lightroom Classic as our primary organizational hub — our “single pane of glass” to see all photo and video assets at a glance. However, Lightroom currently completely ignores video files it doesn’t recognize at the codec/container level. This makes those files effectively invisible, even though they are critical parts of our projects. A major real-world example: Insta360 cameras (X3, X4, X5) are now extremely common Their native video formats (e.g. .insv) are widely used These
Old bug/issuer never fixed. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select X originals with the same metadata Status (e.g "Has been changed" or "Up to date" or etc...)2.Set metadata to “Selected Photos” Originals only3. Select 1 Virtual Copy Actual Result: At step 3 “Metadata Status” appears as "mixed" Originals + VCLrC doesn’t filter out Virtual Copies that do not have Metadata Status Expected Result: Virtual Copies are ignored when comparing and when displaying the “Metadata Status”
Hi there, up until upgrading my Mac to Tahoe 26.2 and Lightroom Classic to 15.1.1, my navigator panel would display preset previews when i hovered over them leaving the ‘main’ image unedited. Now i either have no preview on the navigator and main image, or - after selecting ‘Enable Hover Preview of Presets in Loupe’ - i then have the preset preview on the main image and the navigator preview which is incredibly frustrating when editing larger files. Is there any workaround this?I’ve tried all the usual options in terms of clearing cache, resetting preferences, downgrading to previous versions etc. but nothing seems to allow me to just apply a preset preview to the navigator image alone.-Mark
Would a MacBook pro, M4, 24 GB RAM be adequate for running LrC? Thinking of getting a new computer and leaving Windows behind.
Tying to upgrade from LR v1.5 ro V15, it keeps failing when tryung to convert teh catalog file. the Messggae is eitehr Corrupt or an Unknown error.I use the Windows version, with the files on One Drive.I have tried most of teh fixes mentioned - creating anew catalog and importing - failedMoving files to Local drive and using a clean backup - failed etcI have reinstalled v14.5 and system seems to be working. What next?
I use Lightroom Classic and Windows 11.I have my images stored on an external drive and my catalog stored on my internal drive. I want to make a BACK-UP COPY of all my images on a second external drive. I do not want to store the backups on the cloud at this time.I do not want to lose my Lightroom adjustments, etc.Is this possible, and if so is there a video tutorial or a step-by-step instruction?I would appreciate it someone would respond.Posted: 2 February 2026.
The History panel in the Develop module is very useful for tracking editing steps, but it does not show when each step was made. When editing a photo across multiple sessions, it becomes difficult to know when specific adjustments were done. Adding a visible date and time stamp to each history entry would make it much easier to follow editing progress and manage changes over time. Since this information would increase the length of each history line, it would be helpful if timestamps could be shown as an optional setting that users can turn on or off, or shown on hover. Appreciate your consideration. Charis Pavlou

Sorry, solved, problem was in front of the computer
When can we expect generative expand as in ACR to be in LRC?
I need advice on syncing Lightroom Mobile edits into my Lightroom Classic workflow. My main catalog is in Lightroom Classic, where I import all my iPhone photos manually (thousands of them over the years, edited in Classic). But sometimes, before importing to my computer, I’ll edit a few photos on my phone in Lightroom Mobile. By the end of the day, when I import all my photos into Classic, I end up with the unedited original from the phone, but I also have an edited version in Lightroom Mobile. I’d like a seamless process: say I shoot photos during the day, edit one in Lightroom Mobile, and then at night import everything from my phone to Classic, importing the files in dated folders as I usually do, and somehow get the edits from the Mobile catalog to apply to the instance of the matched file that was imported to the classic catalog.I’m not sure what the best process is In short:I imported files to LR Classic, organized by dateI’d like to apply LR Mobile edits to files in the LR cata
I use Lightroom Classic and might move to just Lightroom. I have about 500GB of photos on a hard drive. Would it be advantageous to move them all to the Cloud. If so, how do I do that? I presume they would be available just as they are now from the drive.
I have been having an ongoing issue with Lightroom Classic getting stuck in the launch window while Reading Preferences over the past few weeks. I have previously posted about this and got some solutions to try. While I have managed to get LRC up and running each time, using a combination of suggestions from my previous post, which I can’t seem to find. The last thing I reported observing was what turns out to be my catalog synching, which appears to be the main culprit, as I just shut down my computer again, and am back to the same issue, stuck in preferences and the catalog is indicating that it is synching. The current catalog size is 10,147,536 KB, and I am thinking about creating a new catalog so that I am not using such a large catalog which seems to be constantly synching and preventing LRC from opening properly after I shut it down.My question is what is the best way to go about this, and can I carry over some of my most recent photos which I have already edited and am still
i bought a new laptop with double GPU (RTX5070 and Intel Arc 140T) and the first day everything worked fine, the next day everytime i use AI features at all and i zoom to the photo and try to move to different angles on the image the mouse icon freezes to the grab icon and the whole app just freezes for a while, only way to close it it via task manager, i tried everything, disable the intel GPU from my device manager, tried to change performance to max, changed the battery settings to max performance, even redownloaded the whole microsoft and drivers, everything is up to date and i still cant grab an image with my mouse, (hold click) without the whole app to freeze immediatly, the only way i can work it out is by disabeling the display to GPU. and i cant work like that, when the app freezes it uses up to 51% of my RAM, around 16,000mb of usage when it freezes. tried to use capture one and everything works just fine, please help me find a solution, i tried any solution out there, and th
What sort of an improvement is it if we can’t see the last 10 or so weeks’ worth of posts for another 8-10 weeks? I find it incredible that Adobe thinks that is acceptable. Many users have ongoing posts and need help. Also, I am confused about the icons at the bottom of the new posts:Follow - is that the new ‘Like”? Or is the new icon ‘Subscribe’, which I can’t even see on some posts?Vote - seems to be there for some posts but not others; how do we Upvote a post?I find these new icons not at all self-evident.
I'm running LRC 14.1.1 on a Macbook Pro M1 Max / OS Sequoia 15.3. Three issues are recurring, all tied to Helper.lrdata file. 1) Keywords are still in the catalog (I can search on them), but they don't show in the Keywording box when selecting an image.2) I am unable to do ANY Edit-in from Library, even tho the images are on the internal SSD where they've been fine to edit in PS / Topaz, etc. by invoking the Edit-in command. The files are NOT missing, and are NOT Smart anythings. They're just RAW files.3) assigning a color green to an image previously assigned a color doesn't change the color of the frame around the image. Instead of green or red, etc. it remains blue.4) Auto-tone in Quck Develop / library module doesn't work. But DOES in Develop module I deleted the Helper.lrdata file as recommended, and the keywords and external editing options came back but then disappeared again after some time, but not sure what triggers this, but it can happen within an editing se
I am using LRC v 15.11 with a V13.3 lrcat. How do I force LRC to upgrade the catalog?
This message appears on the screen. "An internal error has occurred: attempt to index field "?" (a nil value). How can I fix this?

I would LOVE to be able to move the panels in Lightroom in the order I use them most!
I am making a slideshow in LR Classic 15.1.1 and adding a text box that inserts the caption from Library > Metadata > Caption. For some reason, the caption in the slideshow has quotation marks at the beginning and end of the text. In the Metadata > Captions, there are no quotation marks. Is there a way to remove the quotation marks from the slideshow captions? Thank you!
Hello everyone,I’m having an issue with my usual workflow between Photo Mechanic and Lightroom Classic, and I’m trying to understand what’s causing it.For years my workflow has been: Select images in Photo Mechanic Add metadata (keywords, captions, etc.) in Photo Mechanic Import the images into Lightroom This has always worked correctly, and all metadata was imported into Lightroom without issues. Recently, I decided to move the entire workflow to an external SSD, including the Lightroom catalog. The photos are stored on the external SSD, I select and tag them in Photo Mechanic as usual, and then I import them into Lightroom from the same external drive. However, in this setup, the metadata added in Photo Mechanic does not appear in Lightroom after import, even though I’m following the same procedure as before.Nothing else in my workflow has changed, only the fact that I’m now working entirely from an external SSD (photos + Lightroom catalog). Is there something about working from an
