I have tens of thousands of photos shot with older cameras- mainly Sony A100, A700, and A850, with a mix of Minolta, Sony, and some third-party lenses. I'm on Mac, with Lightroom Classic 15.1.1. I'm wondering how I can find and load what must have once been available, the older matching profiles for my Sony gear? I can't be the only only one with these older RAW files. I started RAW processing with Bridge CS3, then switched to Aperture until it was discontinued, and didn't use Lightroom until after that. My current Canon cameras and lenses are well-supported with Camera Neutral (what I prefer to use) and lens profiles, but the older gear is barely supported. No camera profiles and few Sony/Minolta lens profiles. If I open an ARW file that I had previously edited, the profile will be something like "ACR 4.3", even if I change the process to current. But everything else defaults to the dreadful Adobe Color profile. Adobe Neutral is bad too, it looks like ungraded video foo
I've been shooting in some grow rooms which had a heavy pink cast. I was able to do a custom wb in the room at the time and get satisfactory colours in camera, however on import I'm unable to use the colour picker or reference wb shots to set the wb as it's so extreme it remains heavy pink Is there any way to import the settings used in camera and apply to RAW files? A couple of photos of my screen as the jpeg previews went from in camera jpeg to RAW smart previews. shot on Canon R52, custom wb.
Hello - I wonder if anyone can help with this issue.. When I connect my camera (Nikon z6 3) to my mac running lightroom classic to import photos via USB, the camera briefly displays the screen to tell me that it is in upload mode but after a second or two the connection is dropped and lightroom will not ingest photos from the camera. The weird bit is that if I start Nikon Transfer 2, that app maintains a stable connection to the camera (also using USB-C), which allows me to import to Lightroom (!), so all is not lost but frankly that is not a great solution. I would be grateful for any suggestions for a fix. Regards, Aidan Gaule
When I opened LR Classic the catalog used couldnt be found. I have searched on hard drive of my Imac and on the external drive where I store photos and catalogs. I cant find that catalog that LR is looking for. What are my options as I dont want to open a catalog and lose the last changes I made with deleting unwanted photos and adding new folders? Any help would be very much appreciated. Alistair

Hello, I just got back to my LR Classic & unable to see any of my imported presets which were there last month. I have not changed any settings etc in while. When I tried to import presets again I get an error "Unable to Import, Preset Already Exists" but under Develop > Preset its totally empty In Prefrences, I see the presets that I have imported but nothing in Develop section
I have been working with presets for years and just recently within the last week or so I updated my LrC to the latest version. Once I did that I did not work on any images so I felt like everything was fine. Although once I came back from a sesssion I uploaded the images and started adding some presets I noticed the color was different from preset once i copied and paste it and what was even more frustraiting was when I used some of my favorite BW presets. they were not being shown as BW they were muted colored images, then when I applied a preset I noticed the Profile it should have shifted too, was missing. Yes, images are RAW, and I have tried adding them via little icon on the Profile Browser. It says the proflies have been uploaded already. I have removed the index.dat that another forum recommeneded and still nothing. In my previous versions even in an older computer I still use, teh profile browser does show a "profiles" folder in the list of Profiles available.
Hi All! I've been shooting with Canon cameras and using Lightroom for years (although not very technically inclined). Last year I bought a Canon R6 MII and began using the founder's profile in Aftershoot for AI post processing. On my previous two low-light (indoor/winter) shoots while using the R6 at around 2500-5000 ISO, the photos seem very, very grainy and full of noise in Lightroom. I looked at both the Aftershoot versions (really bad grain and noise) and a direct import into Lightroom (not as bad, but still bad enough) and I'm really surprised I'm not getting better results from my R6 in low light. I spoke with Canon Pro Services because I need to send the R6 in for repair and they said to try to import into Canon's Digital Photo Pro software to compare the noise and grain. I did and indeed, there is WAY less grain and noise. He suggested maybe I upgrade my Lightroom (I'm on the subscription plan), but my computer may not do well with a system upgrade - needed if I
Lightroom Classic ver 15.1Windows 11I noticed this first a few days ago. When I try to view an album online, I get the message "This album is empty". I create quite a few Collections in Lightroom Classic and then use the Make Public button to create a url that can be viewed online. The url's still exist and show in my Collections, sync is on but I can't view anything online. Even if I create a new collection and Make Public, the newly created url gives me the same message.

LrC issue Using LrC and a Mac Book Pro. I moved a year’s worth of pictures to an external SSD drive to make room on my MAC and spent the better part of yesterday editing my favorites to print. I was able to export the images at low res for screen / social media purposes but when I went to export those same pics to high quality (300 dpi) images, I noticed the exclamation mark on many of them and received the message "The metadata for this photo has been changed by both Lightroom and another application. Should Lightroom import settings from disk or overwrite those from the catalog?” I need to pick either "Overwrite Setting" or "Import Settings from Disk". I tried to call Adobe Customer Support but when I finally get to the prompt to get to a person with LrC experience it tell sme a person will be with me and then it disconnects. One other relevant point is that I also updated my Mac OS to Tahoe 26.2 yesterday. Perhaps the Mac update created
Was having this issue so tried updgrading but hasn't solved it. I have 3 photos that were in DNG format that I exported to JPG, deleted the DNG and went to import them back into the Catalogue. They will not import as Lightroom still has records of the 3 of them being in the database and therefore blocks my import. They appear shadowed out in the import window as already existing. My Screen Shot of the window will not load to this enquiry - just says unable to complete the action you requested? I have searched both the hard drives that my catalogue spans and other than the JPG files waiting to be imported they do not exist elsewhere. How do I remove the records of there 3 files that don't show in the Catalogue so I can import the JPG copies?
In the current masking panel, it is not possible to select multiple selections within the same mask. For example, when a mask contains several selections such as Object 1, Object 2, etc., I cannot Shift-click to select both and perform actions on them together. Currently, we are forced to: Move selections to another mask one by one Delete selections one by one Invert or manage each selection individually I would like to have the ability to: Shift-click / multi-select multiple selections within one mask Move selected selections together into another mask group Delete, invert, or manage multiple selections at once This would greatly improve efficiency when working with complex masks and multiple detected objects.
Ran into this issue for the first time this week, although I've had the same workflow for years. Edit RAW images in Lightroom Classic > select photo and "Edit in Photoshop" > make edits as needed > Export from Photoshop as JPG or PNG Now as soon as I export the photo from Photoshop, it will immediately affect the photo in the Lightroom catalog. It removes the rating (1-5 stars) and removes ALL edit settings, but the +/- icon on the bottom right of the thumbnail remains as if there are changes made. I can go back on the photo, look at the edit history, select the most recent change and the photo will go back to the edited version that I moved into Photoshop with, but this shouldn't be happening in the first place. This also happens when I save the file from Photoshop (to my computer or the cloud). I've checked export settings on both softwares and can't find anything. Hi all, I found the discussion about using the plugin with Hassy RAW - but my case is more prosaic. The plugin was working fine until 3 days ago or so. In the meantime, I had updated Lightroom Classic. In trying to troubleshoot it, I reinstalled exiftool (now v. 13.45). No dice. LensTagger fails with Error: 32512 - Failed to run the command.I attach the LensTagger 1.9.2 dialog - I wonder if the exiftool location is correct? Also attaching the log below. Thanks for any help!! =============== objc[10917]: Class SODSFileDecode is implemented in both /Applications/Adobe Lightroom Classic/Adobe Lightroom Classic.app/Contents/Frameworks/WichitaFoundation.agtoolkit/Versions/A/WichitaFoundation (0x10618d510) and /Applications/Adobe Lightroom Classic/Adobe Lightroom Classic.app/Contents/Frameworks/CameraRaw.lrtoolkit/Versions/A/CameraRaw (0x134cc0018). I had a repair on my desktop and have not been able to successfully install Lightroom Classic with my most recent Catalogue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled without success. I have a catalogue that was saved on 12/30/2025, but can't get Lightroom to import it. This is the message I get: Lightroom cannot create a catalog named "Lightroom Catalog-v13-13" on volume "This PC" because Lightroom cannot save changes to this location.Lightroom Catalogs can not be opened in network volumes, removable storage or read only volumes. The catalogue is on my C drive, which is not any of those things. Thanks for any guidance. Bill Black
Feature Idea: Option to Limit Face Detection to the Cropped Area This would be a huge time-saver! For example, I photograph sports. I often crop tightly on the main athlete, but face detection still identifies faces outside the crop (teammates, opponents, spectators, etc.) that are no longer visible in the final framed image. Because of this, when I create smart albums based on a specific person, many photos are included where that athlete is detected in the original file but does not appear within the cropped frame. I then have to manually review and remove outside-crop face tags to keep the album accurate. Having to manually review everything eats up all the time I just saved using tagging and smart albums. Having a “detect faces within crop only” option would greatly improve workflow and make face recognition much more reliable for photographers who crop heavily. I hope other photographers would find this useful too!
Mein Lightroom Classic 15.1.1 findet den Katalog auf meiner externen Festplatte nicht. wer kann mir helfen?
I am using Lightroom 6 . It quit working yesterday,. I get the following error message; ?:0: attempt to compare nill with string I cannot start Lightroom to be able to deactivate it.
I am using the latest lightroom version, the photo has alot of noise, and i click the button to denoise. There there is no change to the photo
Hello, I am experiencing a serious issue with tethered shooting in Lightroom Classic. I am using a Leica M11-P, connected via USB-C (10 Gbps) to a MacBook Pro.Tethering works perfectly in Lightroom Classic with my Sony A7S III, but does not work at all with the Leica, despite following all troubleshooting steps recommended by Adobe. To be very clear: The camera is fully recognized by the system USB cable and ports are not the issue Lrc crash after deconecting the USB-C cable Message on my Leica : Active connection sharing. but not connected Tethering works flawlessly with Capture One, both on macOS and on iPad This clearly indicates a Lightroom / Adobe compatibility or support limitation, not a hardware problem. At this point, I would like a clear and official answer from Adobe: Is the Leica M11 / M11-P officially supported for tethering in Lightroom Classic? If not, is this planned, and on what timeline? If yes, what concrete solution does Adobe propose? Tethered shooting is
