Lightroom Classic

Hi,Synching from LrC has ceased to work properly.  I use it to synch collections that I can then use for my website in Portfolio.  Now the synched collections have disappeared within LrC and are no longer in the cloud.  I have tried to recreate the collections and to synch them but the process is very slow and idiosyncratic - 2 or 3 photos may take days to synch.  I have everything I can think of, incuding reinstalling lightroom.  What can I do? Mac OS Sequoia and latest version of LrC. Thanks, John

Sur mon MacBook Pro (M4, 2025), un dossier étrange nommé tout simplement / est apparu dans le répertoire où se trouvent tous les fichiers créés pour gérer mes photos. Ce dossier est volumineux (env 144 Go), et contient de nombreux fichiers, que je ne peux lire. Ce dossier est apparu quand j'ai changé d'ordinateur, et semble contenir des images. Quelqu'un a une idée de ce que peut contenir ce dossier ?  Merci pour votre aide. 

I was editing today and the right panel would disappear immediately I moved the curser onto the photo, I could get it back by moving the curser all the way to the right and coming on to the panel from the right. Now " edit" has disappeared completely, there is no longer an "edit' after library on the top right.  Can anyone advise me what to do?  Many thanks,  Don.

I disconnected my external hard drive where I store all my folders in LR.  The catalogue is on the main computer hard drive.  When I reconnected the external HD, there was an exclamation mark beside the name of the drive (Seagate), and all the folders had question marks beside them, and all were greyed out. I clicked on the main name of the drive at top of "Folders" and chose "Synchronize".  After the process had stopped, everything had disappeared!  So, no catalogue or folders showing in LR panels at all.   How do I get the catalogue back into LR, and the images/folders? Thank you.

I have a folder with some pictures in it. LRC numbers them in the order they were shot. Until yesterday, when I edited them in Topaz, after editing, the numbering and order of the folder was the same...IE, if I had just edited picture number 252 in Topaz, when I returned to LRC, the edited image was still 252. Starting yesterday, every time I edit in Topaz, that image becomes the last image in the folder. This is a pain as I lose track of where I am in the folder in terms of looking at and editing the images. I have made no changes to any settings on either application. How can I get LRC to keep the image numbering the same as it has been for years? I tried finding something about 'sort order' but I was unable. When I edit within LRC, the image stays in the same place with the same number. It is only when I edit in Topaz where the image now gets dumped at the end of the folder by LRC. 

I recently reset my 2015 macbook (running Monterey 12.7.6) to clear space and help it run better. I was running Lightroom Classic on it with no problem (besides my computer being sluggish due to space) and now I can't open the catalog I was working in through Lightroom because it's "too new to open". I was able to get a direct download link for Lightroom Classic 13.0 but that wont open my previous catalog. I tried installing LrC 14.0 but it won't work with my OS and I can't update because my computer isn't compatable. Is there a way to update to LrC 13.5 now? In the Creative Cloud app it only gives me the option to update to 15.1. I can always create a new catalog but I need the edits from the previous one for reference on a continuing project.  Thank you in advance!

Opened LRc (15.1) this morning, pulled up an image to work on, clicked on "edit in" and all of the choices are greyed out and do not respond.  Does not happen with all images, but I cannot tell what differences between images there are that might be the problem.  All files including both those that can be "edit in" other programs  (e.g., Photoshop, Topaz Ai, etc.) and those that cannot are Tiff files produced by scanning in either photos or film.  I have been working on the same 5K images  for several years and never encountered the problem before. I am running a Studio  Mac 3 with the latest OS. Does anyone know how to fix this, or how to contact a live person at Adobe about this problem?

Hello,I have a catalog with around 30k images, for which the .lrcat was stable at around 60Mb in size, and which gets backed up automatically into a Dropbox folder.A few days ago, the size of the .lrcat file suddendly jumped to around 400Mb. I'm not talking about the previews; just the catalog. When LC exits and backs up, even the compressed zip file that I archive on Dropbox is now >170Mb, which just isn't practical.  Does anyone know of any recent changes that might have caused this? I am discarding 1:1 previews daily.Any ideas gratefully received, (Am on MacOS 15.7.2 running LC 15.0.1 with everything on an external SSD drive.)

LRC V-15 Reflection Removal in the Remove panel is not working. It starts the process on the first image for approx 10 seconds and the progression bar ends with no result. When I make a new attempt, on a second image, the progress bar vanishes within less than 1 second, and nothing happens. No account in History for attempting this action either. If I exit lightroom, when I return, and make another attempt, it will try to complete the process, but then fail. It will not give it a try on the second image, and the preview of the first image is stuck in the view area when I move on the film strip or with the keypad to another image. Inorder to view a different image I must refresh the view system by switching to Grid and then back to Loupe.  I am working on a desktop PC. I have attached one of the images I tried to process with Reflection removal , as well as a screen shot of my components on my PC. Is this a Bug? or is my system deficient?

HiI want to import duplicates and this has been working fine forever but today I am getting grayed out images even though I have the duplicates box unchecked.  It's like it has stopped working and is still not importing duplicates even though I have it deselected.  Was there a software update and this is a bug? 

I'm on 15.0.1 currently and have AI culling off as I simply don't find the feature useful and don't need it running in the background every time I enter Library mode. So to that end I have it disabled in my catalog settings intentionally, however every minute or two, the message "Enable AI Analysis in Catalog Settings to use Assisted Cullling" appears ON TOP OF the photo I'm currently editing. I click the "X" and it simply reappears a few minutes later. It's incredibly distracting, especially while cropping. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a professional photo editing app to allow the user to edit a photo without messages popping up on top of the photo every few minutes. How can I completely disable AI culling analysis from running without having this message appear? Or is this a bug to be fixed in a future release?

Hi everyone, I’m encountering a significant issue with the HDR Output workflow in Lightroom (macOS) that seems to specifically affect blue tones in the highlights, particularly skies. The Problem: When editing RAW files in HDR mode, if I use a Camera Matching Profile (e.g., Camera Standard, Natural, etc.) instead of an Adobe Color profile, increasing the Exposure slider causes blue highlights to become unnaturally oversaturated and "neon-like." As the exposure goes up, the blues undergo a severe hue shift and lose their natural gradient. Test Environment & Findings:Cross-Brand Issue: I have confirmed this behavior with RAW files from Sony, Nikon, and Hasselblad. The result is consistent across all three brands.Comparison with OEM Software: Interestingly, when I process the same Hasselblad RAW files in Hasselblad Phocus with HDR enabled, this issue does not occur. In Phocus, the blues remain stable and natural even when pushing the exposure, whereas Lightroom seems to

In Lightroom Classic, after I created a new catalog, the file originally displayed the correct LrC logo. However, the logo has now disappeared and is no longer showing on the file icon. Tried all neassary process but not working.

I am running a Windows 11 and I am using Lightroom Classic 15.1. Just recently, getting to be a regular thing, when I want to rename a file I get a warning that the file cannot be renamed because it either missing or not writable. The file next to it, no problem. The file is there, no question, so what makes it not writable. I'm not doing anything different that I have in the past. Your help is appreciated. Thanks. 

Hi, I have had this problem already a few times:I imported some files from a folder and the day after when I am going to the catalog to see again the pictures, I receive this problem: This means that Lightroom says that there are no pictures in the selected folder! While there are 517 pictures in it already imported.I had to make an new folder to import them again and there they are stil in it.I work in Windows 11 with Lightroom 15.01 Can anyone give me an idea to solve this problem? Thanks anywayMarc Dooms (Belgium)

A partir de la version 15.0 de Ligtroom crea una extension acr. junto a xmp. por defecto.Para grandes lotes de edicion (miles), en mi caso, donde los ajustes son basicos de color y recorte, es un problema tener que gestionar el volumen de extensiones .acr que entiendo no tienen utilidad, si no me equivoco.¿Es posible disponer solo de las extensiones .xmp al exportar el Raw con los ajustes básicos que he comentado?Gracias!

I backed uo my LR catalogue yesterday and now the folders show as empty in LR, the pictures are still on my hard drive in their correct folders

Ive just got the new version, as I was away from my computer for a while.  I importet a bunch of Tiffs as well as some NEFs from my SD card. In both cases LrC doesnt create the previews, the sqaures in the gallery just stay grey. If I switch over to the dev module the image shows, and i believe it also renders a preview. The preview shows also then in gallery, but only for 3 images at a time, if i click a fouth one, the first one turns grey. Very weird.  Also if I try to force new previews, the progress bar just wont move and nothing happens.  Old previews are fine. I've also tried deleting the preview file, but didnt change anything. Setup and everything is the same.  Running on a MBP 2018 on 16GB Ram and Sonoma. Is maybe that the problem? Is Sonoma not supported anymore? If so can I revert back to an older LrC version? Help, please?

For some reason, importing the first folder for the new year, which should be showing in library inside the folder for 2026, came in showing the 'originals' folder outside on its own and not properly nested. How can I fix this?
