Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

Lightroom Version 7.0 Operating System - macOS 14 Sonoma I was excited to learn that LR had the ability to work on local drives. I have used Bridge for the last several years after getting frustrated with Classic's performance. I like what I see in the new LR and am giving it a try. I have run into a problem that I am not able to delete any photos in LR that reside in folders on my Synology NAS drive. After asking if I want to move the photo to the trash I get a response saying "This file cannot be moved to the trash. Please try deleting directly from the disk." I have the gone into my Synology settings and I cannot find anything there that would cause this response. I have no issues deleting photos when in Bridge.  I have administer rights on the NAS drive as well as read/write privileges.  Photos residing on the internal SSD or attached drives delete just fine.  I also can copy files into NAS folders, Move photos from one folder to another on the NAS.  I hav

I facing an issue with my Lightroom Cloud, where the camera profiles are not being uploaded to the cloud. I'm adding these profiles using Lightroom desktop app for Mac, however as they are not syncing, they are not available on Mobile/Web. I've tried everything, removed, added them back, reinstalled the software, cleaned cr_cameraprofiles directory as well as completely removed the catalog and rebuilt it from the cloud. But for some reason - while they are available locally in Mac Lightroom Application, they won't upload to the cloud. After installing them, the sync gets stuck (I guess in uploading...) sync indicator keeps spinning, but nothing happens. .Pausing/resuming sync, won't do much either. Removing the profiles stops the sync, but the problem is not solved.   I'm a software engineer, and it does seem obvious to me that the issue is on the server side, where those profiles are either refused or not correctly processed. I cannot however access upload logs that apparent

I've used Lightroom Classic for over a decade, never tried the cloud-based. Now, finally, I find myself in a situation of needing to share an album with someone else. That part was easy. But now, I'm wondering how to manage the content? In Lightroom Classic there are all kinds of tags, flags, ratings, picks, rejects, metadata, etc, and filters to find stuff based on all those things. But, search doesn't work for shared folders. So, how do you ever find anything you need? Can't set ratings. Can't set flags. Can't add tags. Can't pick or reject photos. Can you even make subfolders within an album? A feature I wouldn't even need if I could just filter the photos.  There doesn't seem to be ANY organizational features in a shared album other than likes. And even then, there doesn't seem to be a way to filter on liked photos. Am I missing something, or are shared albums really that limited?

When creating mask using luminance range, changing range is lagging (choppy performance) with GPU acceleration turned on. On CPU only it’s very smooth.Please see attached video. You can also see CPU and GPU usage on it, and GPU is barely used (which makes sense, it’s just displaying simple 2D image with some colors).Attaching dxdiag file. Drivers are newest, nothing else works in the background, games run crazy fast, the image is medium size JPG, not even heavy RAW.GPU: 4070Ti. 

When attempting to use the Denoise feature in Lightroom, I will check the box to turn the feature on. The progress bar will show up with the percentage and it will either fully complete or abort before 100%. Once the progress bar disappears, there is no change to the photo and the denoise checkbox is still unmarked and the slider is still greyed out. My computer and Lightroom software are up to date and I have even tried using previous installments of Lightroom.

I'm in mobile and working on a photo. I hit the back button and instead of going to where in my photos list I was working it just goes all the way to the top. This happens probably 8 out of 10 times. It's a terrible part of UI. Am I missing something or is this just how mobile is? Also any ideas why my sorting just changes from oldest up top to bottom seemingly at random?

hello, my mac os is sequoia, and lightroom is version 9,0. when i do the right click on the photo there is no superresolution or amelioration.  i don't know what to dothanks 

The batch file rename Date and Time variable is not picking up the correct capture date and time.  The capture time is correct in Lightroom, so I am not sure why the variables are not working.  I have uploaded an example of the problem.  The custom template I am using is:Date ( YYYYMMDD)-Hour Minute-TJM-Camera-File Number SuffixFYI - the TJM in the name is my initials. Lightroom 9.0macOS 26.1

When I use Lightroom's Edit In functionality with a new external editor LR adds that editor to the list that shows up when the Edit In downdown link is pressed. But how can I remove an item from that list? At least one of my photo tools, Dxo's PhotoLab, does not work with Edit In. The app opens properly, but does not display the image specified so I want to remove it from the Edit In dropdown list but I dont see any way to do that. Is there some way to remove an item from the list? I am working on a 2024 M3 MacBook Air running Sequoia.  

Whenever I trt to use color range or luminosity range for masking with LR mobile, it shuts down my edit, and goes back to LR's opening screen. It doesn't totally crash the program.

I can't seem to get my lightroom to open on my PC. I've uninstalled and re- installed. I even tried installing classic and it won't open either... The apps are up to date, I'm paid up, and my PC is fairly new and up to date... help! (Oh! and my photoshop opens just fine)

If I use the auto edit button in Lightroom on one picture. Then use the copy edit settings function from that picture. Then select multiple pictures and paste the settings to these. Then this auto setting isn't applied to the other pictures. Shouldn't this work or do I miss something here?  

Trying in vain to upload a photo I need to edit TODAY. It's 1 meg on a fiber optic line, nothing wrong with my internet, but lightroom browser is not showing the file.   I'm running win 11 on a computer that's only a year old. Using chrome and then edge. It recognizes a duplicate file and rejects it if I try to restart upload.   It's been sitting and spinning for half an hour.

Hi,Bug 1)  I've been running into this issue for a couple weeks now.  Whenever I copy edit settings, it'll paste fine onto one image, but if I try to paste onto another image, it does nothing.Bug 2)  I also tried pasting onto multiple images at once and it turned a bunch of them weird colors until I let them update AI settings.  I think it might have something to do with the denoise features, TBH.The attached green image is after pasting settings, but before updating AI.  Normal looking image is after updating AI.-MattEdit:  I'd like to note that Bug 1 is intermittent.  I'd say it's like 1 in every 3 times I copy settings.  Sometimes it'll paste an infinite number of times, others I get one paste and I'm done.

Is there a reason Flickr can show full resolution photos in shared albums but Lightroom compresses theirs to 2048 pixels on the long edge? If can understand why Facebook and IG do it as they are primarily social media sites, but isn't Lightroom primarily for photography? Yes, I know people can download them for the higher res photo, but that's not the point. They look awful when viewed on a 4k screen which is really making me consider storing my photos for sharing elsewhere. 

Hi, When in crop mode on mobile, if I use one of the aspect ratios and it is still full width, edge to edge, I cannot smoothly pan the crop area.  If I zoom in a bit, it pans around just fine. See attached screen capture. -Matt  

Bonjour , je ne sais pas exactement depuis quand mais surement depuis la dernière mise à jour la réduction du bruit par IA ne marche plus . Cela me donne une image en noir et blanc parsemée de couleur voir capture d'écran ci dessous  . J ai aussi essayé la fonctionnalité super résolution qui me fait des bandes de pixels noir sur la photo également mais beaucoup plus discret . Il y a t il une raison pour ce problème ?  ( je vous mets également les infos sur mon PC en capture d'écran ) 

Hi, my Lightroom CC app stopped being able to sync photo edits after I applied ratings to about 40 photos. Mousing over the cloud icon, I obtain this popup: The "Syncing 49 items" never vanishes. Here are a list of things I have tried: Run Lightroom with reset preferences Uninstall and reinstall Lightroom Uninstall and reinstall Creative Cloud (and Lightroom) Sign out and sign in Restart computer Update Windows to latest version   None of the above have worked.   I have deleted the iOS app in case it was causing some sync deadlock. I then proceeded to reinstall the iOS app and the loading is stuck as well (at "Loading library info from cloud"). It feels like I am making no forward progress on any front and it has been frustrating.   What else can I do to fix my issue? I updated Lightroom today to version 9. I go to edit a black and white negative, and the curve information is gone! It's just a gray mess with no information. I figure I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what, so any help is appreciated. I'm looking for the graph (?) where I could adjust the white and black points in the curve--there would be a bunch of lines that look like a mountain. Sorry for the low-tech explanation. Thanks!
