Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any input on why lightroom has been giving me issues. Everytime I use lightroom is consistently freezes every ~5 seconds for about the same amount of time. I have tried reinstalling the application and tried running older versions and Classic and the problem persists. I run the application as asmin and still no fix. I run a windows 10 machine with a relatively good setup. I have a Ryzen 7 3800X and an AMD Radeon 5700x. 

On my main computer, I upload pictures and put many into sub folders.  They all show properly on the computer I imported them to.   I believe they are all stored in the cloud with Lightroom. However, when I sign into Light room both the online version and the desktop, it shows the folders, but doesn't show any of the pictures in the sub folders.  I do, however, see all of the pictures in the main "all photos' . How can I see the pictures assigned to the various subfolders as on my main computer in which they were brought into the lightroom environment? thank you!

However my Surface Pro 11 with an OLED screen is HDR certified for VESA Display HDR 600 (1.1). It peaks at 660 nits. This monitor actually seem to work with Lightroom HDR. This is inconsistent with Adobe published requirements?I want to buy an external monitor and need to know if i need to look for HDR 1000 certified monitors or if HDR 600 is good enough?KRJan

Running into a weird situation recently and hoping someone can help. I use a CF card in Slot 1 and SD card in Slot 2 on my Sony A7IV, and use simultaneous recording to make sure my photos are saved to both cards. Slot 2 is just a safety back up, I never look at or access the photos on this card, so there’s hundreds if not thousands of photos on that card from the last few months. Normally I just connect my A7IV directly to my iPad over USB, open Lightroom and import the photos from my CF card, then format it leaving the SD card totally ignored. For the last year, until about three weeks ago, when I connected my camera to the iPad, ONLY the CF card contents in Slot 1 were shown in Lightroom to import. For the past few weeks however, suddenly only the SD back up card in slot 2 is showing in Lightroom and I have to wait several minutes while it indexes the thousands of photos on that card before I can import anything. Anyone know why suddenly this would happen, or how I can stop

Hi guys, I’ve just upgraded to Lightroom Premium, however am not able to access the new features on my mobile (radius, detail, masking, feather). It’s syncing my photos (which it wasn’t doing before I upgraded), and I’ve got an email from Itunes confirming my subscription. I’ve tried signing out and uninstalling the app but no luck.Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out, much appreciated! 

Hi there,I am looking for help on how to sell my Lightroom CC presets. I have exported the presets on my computer as XMP files. From here, I have uploaded them to Dropbox under the impression that I will then be able to open them on Lightroom CC Mobile under add photos -> from files -> dropbox. At this point though, my mobile device (iPhone 7 plus) says it is an unsupported file type and isn't available to be uploaded into Lightroom CC Mobile.Will my customers have to download the XMP files onto the Lightroom CC Desktop online application, and then have it sync over the cloud to their mobile device? If this is the case then all is well and that is what I will have to instruct them to do. I am just wondering though, if they are able to do this all from their mobile device.Any help is appreciated!Thank you

Hi, I imported several hundert of RAW pictures in Lightroom on my iPad using an Adobe Account which expired (sync was turned off). As I got a new Adobe Account (full subscription), I signed out on the iPad (there was no hint that unsynchronized pictures will be lost), I signed in on the iPad Lightroom with my new Adobe Account but all the hundert RAW pictures I imported previously (and which didn't get uploaded to the cloud because of my expired old Adobe Account didn't show up). Even after I extended the subscription for the old account and signed in with it on the same iPad Lightroom, all the unsynchronized RAW pictures don't show up anymore.  Can somebody please guide me how I can get access to my RAW pictures and synchronize them to my Adobe Cloud (either old or new account, I don't care). Thanks!

So I would like to sync my entire lightroom library on my phone and iPad. When I click the cloud button light room gives a tick that says "Synced and backed-up". When I scroll down or open a photo I note it has not synced. Photos take a few seconds to open and when I open a photo it says downloading smart preview and Downloading original.  I am using an iPhone 16 Pro Max and an Ipad 11" M4 Pro.  Is this the intended behaviour? The system is telling me it has synced, when clearly it is downloading the images when I open them.  I want this to be synced so that when I travel and I am on a plane I know I have the library available to edit, as opposed to finding out the photo has not downloaded. 

I am trying to import photos into Lightroom CC, but everytime I do, I receive the error, "Error in catalog index".  I am running a Mac OS 10.13.6  with Lightroom CC v3.3.  I have tried importing from a folder on my machine, a folder on my hard drive, and an SD card. I have also tried to log out / restart / log back in.  thanks

Issue: when trying to use export original+settings, the output files contain the raw file and the .xmp metadata, but for almost all the photos the develop settings part of the xmp file is set to 0 (as if I just imported the photo). Same happens for .DNG files that embed the develop settings inside.Lightroom version: 7.5 arm64 [ 20240801-2320-5b173a1 ] and the same build number for x64 windowsmacOS 15.0 Sequoia (also happened on 14 Sonoma) and Windows 11 x64 Steps to reproduce issue: select Export Original + Settings option, choose a destination and then either import files with ACR in Photoshop or use Lightroom Classic to verify that the files show up as having been edited but their edits are set to 0 in the develop panel (but in LR Cloud they show up correctly when viewing the target file). Expected result: the Original (which comes out correctly) and the attached .XMP metadata file with the develop settings that were made in LR Cloud. Actual result: original file

Hello, when I download my RAW files (NEF) as JPEG on lightroom web, they have no EXIF data afterwards. What can I do to fix this? Using lightroom web on chrome and on Mac OS Catalina 10.13.6.

 Hello    I am getting this error message on Photoshop Lightroom desktop edition (via Microsoft Store) when I go to export as 'large jpg'.   Nothing happens when I try to export to ...   Works fine on android app.   Can anybody help?   Much appreciated.   Jim       {Title edited by Moderator}  

My Lightroom Mobile app (on Android) always opens with a view of 'All photos'.Is there a way to have it  open with a view of 'My albums' instead?If not, an option in Preferences would be greatly appreciated!

I have stacked my photos and now trying to merge them using Adobe Photoshop lightroom 4.1 from Mac app Store. It freezes everytime when creating preview at 44%. Help!

Hello,For several weeks now lightroom has been crashing non-stop without any specific crash condition. It can crash as soon as you start up, or in the middle of retouching or exporting.I've tried several times to change the graphics performance settings, but it doesn't change anything. I've also checked all the Windows 10, GPU and creative cloud updates and optimized my cloud.Do you have any ideas on how to solve this problem?Thank you in advance for your help and have a nice day.

Can Adobe slow down the speed of edit playback when reviewing a photo that has been posted to the community? It would be even better if one could select the speed of each edit so we could see how it affects the photo. Such as a click to the photo to go to the next edit!

Hello! Hope you're well. I recently imported videos from my Canon M50 Mark 2 to Canon image hub. It allows me to connect to Lightroom and says they're automatically downloaded but I don't see them imported to my Lightroom Library. Does anyone have experience with this failed connection between Canon and LR? Or know of an alternative way to import photos and videos directly to LR? Thanks! 

First, thanks for the incredible knowlege on these boards and I apologise but cannot seem to figure this out.  Background:  I am fairly adept at LR Classic, PS, etc. but after years, finally used LR (cc) for daily edits while traveling.  Each RAW image has an accompaning .XMP file in the same folder on an external HDD.  Now home, I can't figure out how to move these images with the .XMP into LR Classic on my desktop PC.  I tried importing into the catalog but only get the original RAW without edits on LR Classic even though each has the .XMP in the folder on the HDD.  What am I missing, here?  

Depois da última atualização, toda vez que tentei usar o aplicativo sem estar conectada a internet apareceu essa mensagem. Se eu me conectar a alguma rede wi-fi ou ligar os dados móveis o aplicativo funciona normalmente 

Hola.He hablado con soporte varias veces y nadie me ha sabido dar solución a este problema. Uso Lifhtroom Mobile desde mi iPad Pro porque me he acostumbrado editar mis fotos desde aquí por la portabilidad que me ofrece. Pero quería aumentar el almacenamiento en la nube porque los 100 Gb se me quedan muy cortos. Pero sólo encuentro soluciones de ampliación para las versiones de escritorio o mixtas, no me queda claro específicamente si existe forma de ampliación cuando sólo uso la versión Mobile. ¿Alquien puede ayudarme? Yo quiero seguir con mi suscripción mobile de App Store, pero contratar alguna solución de Cloud extra. Y no sé cómo o desde dónde hacerlo. Gracias.

Hi there,  I really like the 'add borders and share' feature to add a white border to images. But i've notcied that the exported images no longer contain location information and I can't seem to find an option to preserve this.  I can see that if I use 'export as' I can enable an option to include the location info, but of course I'm not getting the border if I use this option.  Is there something I'm missing please? Thanks!

After using Lightroom for an hour or so, when I hit K to activate a mask brush, the magnifying glass for zoom is activated instead. Once I click once, it zooms in--and then activates the mask brush. It is one of those things which makes one want to pull their hair out. Upon careful observation, I noticed that when I am hitting K to bring up the mask brush, Lightroom activated the Rotate field in the Transform panel (but the Zoom tool is still the active pointer). If I hit Enter once, it goes away and then I can carry on with my editing.

Hallo, ich habe mir heute eine neue Grafikkarte eingebaut und Lightroom gestartet. Dabei ist mir aufgefallen, dass die letzten bereits bearbeiteten Bilder überbelichtet angezeigt worden. Diese hatte ich vorher am IPad oder an dem Computer über die Browser Version bearbeitet. Die Bilder werden auf dem Handy, in der Web Version und als Kopie in Lightroom Classic richtig dargestellt, bloß in Lightroom viel zu weiß. Kann das mit dem Wechsel der GPU zusammenhängen? Jemand Ideen wie man es Ändern könnte?

Hola! Tengo Lightroom para iPad y sería ideal que se pudiese configurar el tamaño de la fotografía durante la edición mediante el recorte o a la hora de exportar la imagen. Creo que es algo básico decidir qué tamaño (centímetros, etc.) queremos que tenga la foto.
