Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

I've been looking for adding square border with no crop options on lightroom everywhere and it's a shame that although Instagram has been trendy nowadays but this option is not available on android version lightroom or Photoshop express. There're lots of people out there capturing different ratio and both horizontal and vertical photos, edited in lightroom but have to export to another app to add a square border without cropping the image. Hope this feature will be includes in the new update

Hi,I work from several Desktop machines. On my main Windows machine in the office I have set preference to creat local copy of original onto external 8TB drive. (This works fine).I also work in the field with a laptopn and an Apple machine in the office and another Windows PC at home.How do I manage the other machines wanting to copy the files onto the external drive when the drive letter will vary depending how many internal drives are on the various machines?I don't have an issue with getting images to the cloud and editing them and then opening from another machine. It is just the issue where the other machines find the drive is not available (which is ok when in the field but when I get home and plug in the external drive, it has a different drive letter). In this case, won't the images saved locally build up on those machines that cannot move them to the correct drive?Would I be best to switch off the save local copy in preferences each time I open LR on one of the other machines

I am currently using a Lenovo Yoga 7 (16 inch) with :      CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700H 2.30 GHz      RAM: 32 GB      SSD: 1TB Samsung MZAL41T0HBLB-00BL2      GPU 1: Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe      GPU 2: Intel(R) Arc(TM) A370MLightroom version: 7.2 WAS x64 [ 20240214-0910-27200e9 ] (Feb 14 2024)Windows 11 HomeSteps:1. Open "Graphic" settings on computer2. Set Lightroom's graphics prefrecence to GPU 2 (from the above list)3. Open Lightroom4. Computer crashes and restarts Before this was a problem I was using GPU 1, there was no issue. Then while playing around with Lightroom, I found the ability to enhance an image. I started using it on some pictures however I realized that GPU 2 wasn't being used. I believe GPU 2 should be able to do this process faster but I dont know. Afterwards I changed the application's graphic prefrence to high performance, restarted Lightroom, and computer crashed. Thank

Hi, when i export a file to a folder,from lightroom, the folder pops up, showing the file.Lightroom then minimises.This has only begun happening recently.Can anyone suggest why this has happened and how to fix it please? Many thanksa

Saving photos using the SAVE TO DEVICE option gives much smaller files than using the EXPORT AS option (settings - jpg, maximum dimensions, 100% quality). Why is this.Keith

I just bought Adobe CC (version 6.1.0.587.7) and Lightroom. I completed the CC intall, but now Lightroom is stuck on Waiting. My iMac is new and I am running Sonoma 14.2.

Ciao there! i am running this issue for several times, before there were no problem with this setup earlier. ipad os 17.0.3lightroom is the latest version this is a normal price usb hub with a sandisk extreme 128gb card.there are 500 pics on the card, importing window comes up normally but showing up around 3-400 pics the app quits accidentally. do anyone run into the issue like that?what can be a solution? thanks for the advices!

I subscribed to the Lightroom Premium Edition on the Google Play Store, but the software's premium features are not available. When restoring the purchase, it will continue to show a waiting time, but after half an hour, it still shows a waiting time. After canceling, I clicked to restore the purchase again, and it was prompted that the purchase cannot be restored because it has already been applied for. May I ask how to restore my subscription to the Premium Edition

Having GPU accelration softens the images/adding artifacts after I performe any form of crop. It can be as simple as using crop tool only for leveling the images to get straight lines. Or just croping to get better compostion . And YES, I've turned off and disabled everything related to "boosting image quality" in the AMD control panel (so no sharpening, AI improvement or any other thing) If im not using GPU accelration, Lightroom  is slow, and crashes anytimes i use any of the healing tools . SystemCPU: AMD 7800 x3dGPU: AMD amd 7900 xtxSee examples:    

I think this is a performance issue, either merging images for HDR or panorama will result in Lightroom consuming nearly 100% of my CPU, Lr then goes to the greyed-out state and a "not responding" message will display on the top of the window. This wasn't an issue on previous versions of Lr and I'm using the same PC. Most of my CPU is also being used when exporting images, this slows the whole system to a point that even my music player starts to lag, I am completely unable to browse through other windows until Lr finishes any process. Thanks in advance. 

I get access to Lightroom via my organisation. When using my account when physically in my organisation's facility, the app works well. However, when I use it on my personal device (Lenovo ThinkBook G4) the app prompts me to log in when opening the app. However, after entering my account details and logging through my organisation, it just "crashes" me back to the sign in screen, and I have to do it all over again. Some times, it does let me in, but as soon as I export an image, it crashes the app and logs me back out again.I am fully sure my login details are correct since I've been able to use the app successfully mutliple times on my personal device. It seems like in certain situations it works and certain times it doesn't. I find it really odd so I'm hoping to get some help here, thanks in advance.

When editing my jpg photos on disk in Lightroom, the Finder tags disappear and the date/time changes to the time of opening. I did not save anything. Why is this and how can I disable it?

Good afternoon all.I am trying to implement a python workflow that produces a batch stitching of frames from video.I tried the slit-scan approach but the output resolution (obviously) is not enough. Instead, I think that blending the images in a stitching process will be much better. I have tried with the manual process and below are some wins and challenges:- I tried stitching a few images at a time and the output is exactly what I need.- I tried to stitch each nth frame from the video but the software fails to stitch. Reason could be the fact that the frames depict a repetitive pattern so it might be difficult to find unique features to match?- I wondered if there is a python script that performs a progressive stitching of the frames as they are captured from the camera. I look forward to hearing your recommendations. Regards,Fabio

In the Android app I create folders and albums. If I close the app and open the app again the folders and albums all disappear and don't save. 

Am not able to get premium access in my mobile, can anyone help me on this

I have technical questions about switching from lightroom CC to lightroom CLASSIC.   Should I first download a test version of Lightroom, then open it and sync to my Lightroom CC? Finally I would then officially change my subscription to the photography plan. Would the synced data contain metadata, edits, keywords etc?   This is very important for me and I haven’t been able to find any clear answers by searching on the web. If keywords are not synced I would lose an extremely valuable asset. Can anybody help me answer these questions?

Hello. Im using Adobe Lightroom CC and Adobe Portfolio. For some reason when uploading the albums from LrCC to Portfolio, the photos are capped at 1920x1080p and are not being displayed, or are downloadable in max res.  However, when viewed in LrCC, the photos are still max res (24mp) instead of 1080p. I can't seem to find a setting to adjust the upload quality. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hello. LR mobile works fine on my Huawei p30 pro, but on Xiaomi pad 6 tablet is simply unusable. This is terrible since i bought the tablet almost exclusive to have a larger screen for editing my photos. The problem is that when i open images, the APP crashs almost always when i start the Simple process of crop, before even do any thing else (as in the images belos). If i dont crop, the APP gets more stable sometimes. I already did everything i read arpund, like clean cache, clean data, stop sync, reboot, reinstal APP,..... This is hugely frustrating and unacceptable for a payed APP! And for getting a tablet without almost any use, as it was intended for this 😔    

Android: 14 Build: AP1A.240305.019.A1 Google Pixel 8 Lightroom Android version:  9.2.1   Can't view clipping. Steps: - open image for Edit - tap: Light - start moving Exposure slider, keep finger down - add other finger: touch on image, keep this finger down too clippimg display should be visible, but is not. Try it with the attached image.   It appears that the "hold image to see unedited version" feature overrides clipping display.   Clipping display works as expected in Lr on iPad.

Hi LR Community,I would like to annotate text descriptions to my Family History Photos, At this time, I open a Jpg Photo from LRC into PS as a Copy,In PS I create a text layer,add my description of the Photo,--- (Who, When, Where, What, etc)I then flatten the Image and save it, I can now print this Photo with text description. In LRC I now have 2 Photos, (same file size)First Photo, is the untouched Original,Second Photo, is a copy of the Original Photo, with burnt in text decription,i then create a Stack of these 2 Photos.and if I have to edit the text description burnt into the photo (ie: wrong date), I cannot,I have to now repeat the process from the beginning. My question is:Is there an easier way to achieve this kind of annotation using LRC,that is editable ? I know I could save the Photo with the text layer as a PSD, so the text ie editable,but this still means i have a duplicate(!) photo which is a large file size. 

I have a student creative cloud subscription but premium features are not working on my Lightroom mobile app. I made sure I am logged in with the right email and I tried the "restaurar compra" (restore subscription) option but it says it's expired. How do I fix it?
