Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

I travel a lot and want to use my iPad to edit images in Lightroom. But I do not EVER want to use the CLOUD. The bandwidth Adobe cloud uses is MONSTOROUS. It crashes my desktop. So I never want to use the cloud. EVER. Hope that is clear. I HATE ADOBE CLOUD. Having said that, can I still use my ipad? Can I keep my photos on an external drive, connect it to my ipad and use LR on my iPad? If not, any recommendation on a different photoediting software that will allow this? The fact that adobe only until recently forced all of us to use their crappy cloud is insulting. but atleast they finally let us use are own harddrives (I am sure reluctantly while kicking and screaming). It really makes me questions the values of this company. It is obviously about money. Sad. Anyway, hoping I can use ipad with local storage and NOT the cloud.

Hello everyone. The new Samsung Galaxy S24 is now capable of taking pictures directly in true HDR and displaying them in the "Gallery" foto app. They call is "Super HDR" but it is my understanding that this is the same as the "Ultra HDR" format that is potentially supported in the newest version of Android. However, I don't seem to be able to export HDR pictures from LR in such a way that the format is recognized as HDR by the "Gallery" foto app of the S24. I tried the JPG (with HDR checkbox enabled) with both color space options but the pictures are only shown as SDR in the foto app. So have these questions: * Should this work and has anyone successfully done this yet?* Is there any known difference between the exported HDR JPG in LR and the "Ultra HDR" format supported by Android? If yes, it there maybe a converter?* Can anyone recommend an Android app or a Windows program that can analyze the format of picture files to show if a JPG truly is in "Ultra HDR" format and maybe help

I am using Adobe Lightroom (cloud) v7.1.2 .. and having a problem with versions.  It seems like the 3 dots next to each version (which should allow me to delete individual ones) does not open.  I do seem to be able to click the 3 dots at the top, and delete ALL AutoSaves or Names, but not individually

I have a question/issue with Lightroom's DENOISE feature. After the fourth or fifth image I denoise (taking about 8-12 seconds each), the next one from that point on takes from9-12 MINUTES to do the DENOISE. Why does the program suddenly stop effeciently executing the DENOISE process and bog down and become painfully slow. I am using it on images that are all from the same camera (EOS R5) shot at the same location, so there are no significant changes to the content of the images. I find the only way to bring the DENOISE process up to speed again is to reboot my computer. Closing and reloading Lightroom doesn't help. I have a Windows 11 machine, with 128GB of RAM, and a co-processor with 12GB of coprocessor RAM. I don't think the issue is a lack of hardware capability. So, what's the scoop?

Hello,I just bought a new screen and it is capable of HDR. When turned on, the same images look different on my screen, and not just that, also when exported. The only thing I change is that I enable HDR mode in Windows settings. You can see everything in the images I attached (overexposed is with HDR enabled). What causes that problem?The images seem to be correct when not in HDR mode because that is how they appear on my iPhone. Now my iPhone (12) also supports HDR. How is that possible? Thanks, Daniel

Hi,Today I keep getting an error message pop up in the Lightroom App on my Mac saying "The Digital Negative (DNG) file is incompatible with this version of Lightroom".  And I am unable to edit my photos on this.I was working on these photos the other day.Please can someone help me fix this? Many thanks in advance.Janey 

I updated to the latest release of Lightroom on all my devices over 24 hours ago, and I am still seeing zero faces in the People view. I have nearly 20,000 photos, and there are a *lot* of them of the same people, yet nothing shows up, it just seems to be broken.I have uninstalled/reinstalled apps, but I am guessing this all happens server-side. There is zero indication from the UI that anything is actually happening. Is this intentional? I expected at least some kind of loading animation, or progress bar--anything really. Honestly, assuming this is server-side--why on earth wasn't a lot of this indexing done *prior* to launch? This is a really bad user experience, it feels like my app is broken...Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I'm trying to get my head around something I saw but can't find again in the settings. I use LR Classic on my PC and LR CC on my iPhone/iPad.With my iPhone images I open LR CC and they auto-import to LR, synchronise to the cloud and then when I'm on my PC they synchronise to a folder on my PC in LR Classic. That's the point where I know exactly where they are and can back them up onto local drives.Before I used that route I would take a photo on my iPhone and it would go into the iCloud Photos, be downloaded to iCloud photos and I'd import it into LR Classic (with no LR CC involved at all).A while ago there was a LR CC upgrade and I got a prompt, as I opened LR CC, which said something along the lines to ask if I wanted to work with LR CC using the photos on my "My Photos" in the iOS Photos app or whether I wanted to work with them in LR CC but it warned me about doing so because it said if I worked in Photos then the images wouldn't be backed up to the LR cloud system. There is currently no automatic way to import videos from the native iOS photo app into Lightroom. I'd like to see a feature that automatically syncs videos the way photos can be synced, so that manual import is no longer required.

Hi! Whenever I use Lightroom and have multiple masks or  then start adjusting colours the program starts stuttering is this a lack of ram ? My Pc Specs:Ryzen 7 5800xRtx 3080 ti 12gb32gb ddr4 3200mhz 

Hello.  I cannot connect a SD card reader to either my iPhone or iPad.  The device does not show up and therefore I can't upload photos directly to these devices.   Anybody share this experience?  Any ideas?  Thank you.

Ich kann die Bilder bearbeiten, kommentieren und herzen, aber nicht die Sternebewertung, die Fähnchen (ablehen etc.) oder farbige MArkierung benutzen.Weiß jemand, woran es liegen könnte?   Hello, I've a problem with Raw photos on lightroom. In gallery everything looks good, but when I'm importing raw to lightroom, colors are bad, desaturated and photo is darker. Please tell me how to fix it. I was trying everything. With jpg is ok, but is a problem with raw. I've a samsung S22 and export raw camera.

After upgrading to lightroom desktop (cloud) 5.1, found that photos in grid view render darker (and more red?) than before. Whole grid is darker. When selecting photo for detail view, photo renders proper brightness. So, this is not an issue with brightness in individual photos - this is an across the board problem with grid photo rendering. I have a dual-monitor setup (Benq), which have been calibrated, and darker grid view renders irrespective of monitor selected. Detail view of photos, again, renders properly. I have Intel i9-10900x @3.70 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 64 bit Windows 10 Home, 21H2. Using NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 driving BenQ EW3280U and Benq SW321C. Anyone else notice this issue?

I can't figure out where I am going wrong. I have limited cloud storage (21GB) which should be fine because I just want to sync small collections from mobile on an iPad to classic on a PC. The issue is that each time I run Lightroom mobile it syncs all of the photos on my camera roll and fills the storage instantly. I have "Auto Add from Device" set to off, but it just fills the storage as soon as Istart the sync process. What am I missing? Thanks in advance, Jon

I'm a brand new user. When I edited my photo, I hit save to device (iphone). Now, the edited photo is in the "unedited" and "imports" categories. It shows the edited picture there. When I open the image, it shows the edited one for a second, then "loads", and it's the original. I can't copy the settings, save the image, anything. But I know the edit is there, wth. Images in order of what happens  

I'm running into a fairly annoying issue when searching for an image by file name. Search doesn't work properly with images that Lightroom generated or renamed from another image in some circumstances. I'm hoping there's a way of searching for those images that I've missed. Or, that there's a fix in the pipeline. Two examples of Lightroom "creating" a new image that result in an issue: - Denoise creates a new dng with a new filename: It'll create APC_0043-Enhanced-NR.dng from Enhance/Denoise on APC_0043.dng.- Lightroom renames images on import if another image already exists in the library with the same filename. For example, if IMG_0112.jpg exists, Lightroom imports a new/different IMG_0112.jpg as IMG_0112-2.jpg. Those new filenames are what Lightroom shows as the file name in the info pane. They're also used as the "original" filename if you're using that in the Export functionality. Everything makes sense to this point. But search doesn't operate as I'd expect:&n
