Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

The photos are all synced and are online and available from my PC via Lightroom Classic.However, when I try to save some photos from Lightroom CC on my Surface I get the message "some images could not be exported because we couldn't access the full size original"The same file can be saved on my CC Mobile app but not on the Surface.Why is this?  How can there be an error when I can get to the photos on two of the three devices?  Is there anything I can do to resync the CC version on the surface?

Hi all, hoping there is an easy fix for this problem, cant seem to find an answer, not sure if i am using the right terminology.I have recently gotten a new laptop after not having one for a period of time,  and have such finally been able to sort and transfer all my full res images from my sd cards into lightroom. for the past year or so I have been wirelessly transfering low res images from my sony camera to my phone and editing everything on lightroom on my phone. I have hundreds of edits in lightroom of these low res photos, and I am wondering if there is a way to merge these edits with the full res photos I have imported from my laptop.They are all the same photos, with the same names, just full resolution straight from the camera. I dumped them into lightroom, and now have thousands of duplicates. I'd rather keep the full res images, so that I can use them for things other than instagram, and would certainly not like to re-edit or copy paste these settings for ever

I'm having issues with Lightroom Mobile. When I shoot in ProRAW on my iPhone 12 Pro, the result is usually crisp contrast and bright whites. However, when I open that image in Lightroom Mobile (using the Apple ProRAW profile) and export it back to the iPhone's camera roll having made no changes, the image is dull and has lost its contrast. I also tried it with Apple HEIC and JPG files, and the same thing happens. It's maddening. I first discovered this when I opened a ProRAW image in Lightroom Mobile to make no changes other than to use the Healing tool to remove a mark. When I exported it back to the camera roll, the image lacked the contrast of the original. Please advise, and thank you for your time.

Hi all:  I've been searching for the way to eliminate duplicate images from my Lr catalog to no luck.  I had a tool under LrC, but now that I've migrated to Lr it seems that there is no solution?? Please let me know if there is a tool or easy process to manage duplicate removal for a library of close to 15K images. thanks!!

My LR storage was upgraded from 1TB to 5TB last year. I am currently using 1.3TBs of 5TBs with 3.7TBs free. I recently demoed Illustrator and then removed it.  After removal, my LR continued to show 3.7TBs free, but now Creative Cloud shows I have over 300GBs in storage. I engaged in a discussion with Adobe support, and regrettably, as is customary, the organizational coherence within the corporate structure appears to be severely lacking. Adobe support indicates an apparent discrepancy, asserting an exceeded limit, yet Lightroom (LR) persists in provisioning 5TBs of storage. Is this a recurrent stratagem where Adobe entices users with features only to subsequently coerce them into upgrading? My confidence in Adobe's competence and the security of my file storage has been eroded. Despite maintaining backups, I am actively disengaging from Adobe services. I can securely store images across multiple platforms at a significantly reduced cost compared to Adobe's offerin

Hi Community, I am a new user and I got this problem when editing using Lightroom Mask. Let say I had finished editing using Radial Gradient, if I add another Radial Gradient, it will inherit whatever values of the previous one. So, whatever editing I am doing to the newly added Radial Gradient, it will also affect the previous one. And if I select the 1st Radial Gradient, it will affect the new one. It does not let me edit as seperate "standalone" Radial Gradient under 1 Mask. This happen to other tools, not just when using Radial Gradient. How could I edit them as separate editing effects under the same Mask? Thanks.

On trying to open a RAW file in Lightroom, it won't let you as it tells you that it has already been opened and shows you the image lowlit, on the left of the screen. When you hit Cancel, nothing happens. When you then enter the filename you get "OH No! A Black hole, although it's just showed you the picture. This has been designed and then programmed by incompetent amateurs. Lightroom is staggeringly user-unfriendly. Can anyone recommend Topaz, Luminar of one of the competitors?  

I don't no what is happening here, it must be a little bug, can someone help me please?

Help!  I used to be able to save versions of my photos in Lightroom and now I cannot.  Even when I try to do it using Shift+CTRL+S it allows me to enter the version name and "Create" but the new version does not show up anywhere.  :S  This all happened after I ran the update yesterday (Dec 15 2023).

Hi All, I am working in Lightroom 7.1.2 and have a question about workflow.  I currently send all my photos to the cloud and back up to and SSD drive.  I have run out of space on my SSD drive and wanted to introduce a new drive, however when I plug it in, Lightroom starts moving the entire digital library to the new drive vs just the new material.  Is there a way to work with two drives?  Or is there a better way to deal with the storage issue?   Thanks!

I'm trying to change my work flow from LR Classic to using LR and LR Mobile.  I thought if I organized the albums that have come over to LR from LR Classic, the changes that I made in LR would flow through to LR Mobile, but they haven't.  Is there a way to sync them so that they are the same, without having to recreate them manually on each device?  I'm planning to use LR Mobile on my IPad pro (4th gen, OS 17.1.2) for light editing while traveling, and then complete the work on my desktop (iMac M1 using Ventura 13.6.1)  in LR when I get home.  Thanks for your suggestions.

Everything I have found on the web assumes that files are stored in the cloud. For example:   The online docs say that if you import photos from LR Classic that a local copy of all of the photos is made. Is that true if I import from LR Classic in local mode? If so then using LR CC is impossible.   LR CC does not support hierarchical keywords. What happens to keywords when you import from Classic?   What are the parameters by which you can search in LR CC in local mode?   If there is no catalog or other index, how can you search 100,000 photos in a reasonable time? LR CC can't be doing a disk scan because that would be unacceptably slow?   Thanks for any any information you can refer me to.

Adobe Lightroom closes when I want to use the brush tool and background detection. Otherwise, Adobe Lightroom works normally. When I select the brush tool, the program closes without warning. This started happening yesterday. Please help.(Thread title edited by Moderator)

Hello, I just updated my lightroom app on Dec. 11th and now I can't find my profiles. I have to be missing them right? I went down to edit and tried to scroll over but it doesn't have the option I only see presets but I just want the black and white filters in the profiles.   Thank again   (Thread title edited by Moderator)    

Lightroom version: 7.1.2 MAS arm64 [ 20231210-1901-9bac95f ] (Dec 10 2023)Can not select full gpu acceleration on my device after updating to macos sonoma 14.2 and lightroom 7.1.2(mac app store version).I believe it was a bug. 

For over a month now lightroom has refused to export photos (it works once in a blue moon, seemingly at random). I try to export one photo at a time and it will stay on the "exporting screen" for 30+ minutes if I let it. I can export pictures with no edits or pictures with edits If i export as the "small" size but that about it. Things are synched fine.I've spoken with 5 support agents now via chat and every. single. one. has just left in the middle of the chat. Not disconnected, just left. I have screenshots of this and I cannot get anyone to actually see the issue through. I'm out of ideas, what do you think I should do if I'd like to continue using lightroom? Beyond frustrating. TYIA for any ideas you can provide!

seems every time i open an album it shows most recent pictures at top ,but id prefer to be reversed.I seem to able to change this but it goes back showing most recent on top any time change album or restart app.

I'm unable to save image after editing and applying blur tool. It just keep working but nothing happens. I'm a premium subscriber but unable to use it fro last one month than what's the use of we can't sav images? Just to see? Are you mad? Refund my amount of one month.

It is unacceptable that this app (with an expensive subscription) designed for "pros" do not allow to export easily albums to an SSD or at least to copy the local storage/ backup to an ssd.At this point Adobe has no excuse for not allowing users to access files from the files app in iPad. It is a feature available for iPhones, iPads and other devices for ages now, it is frustrating having to do stupid maneuvers just to work around this dumb design for Lightroom (iPad).

I cannot get Canon Print Studio Pro to download into Lightroom CC or Photoshop 2024. I have exhausted all the suggestions from Canon.  This seems to be an Apple issue.  Interestingly, earlier today it was working well.  To my knowledge I did not change anything.  I have also rebooted my iMac several times and no success. I am running Ventura 13.6.1   Help please

My Lightroom has gotten to a point to where it constantly lags on my 5K Studio Display. Every time I cycle through the images, it doesn't show it right away. The preview chronically flickers to black, and I have to constantly fight it just to make it work. I have an M2 Max CPU w/32GB of RAM, so it's not as if I have a slow Mac. I have confirmed it only occurs on the 5K display and not on the laptop screen. Somebody please tell me how I can fix this...it goes without saying I spend way too much money on my equipment and this software just to have it bug out on me every day.
