Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

The last several versions of Lightroom 6.4, 6.3, and 6.2 have been really unstable for me. In particular, it crashes almost every time I try to do subject/person detect. The problem is more pronounced when I am running other apps like premiere pro. It is also worse if I am "fast" with Lightroom, as in moving from one thing to another quickly. It's like it can't keep up.  I am on Windows 11, running an i7 and 64gb of ddr5 ram. Not overclocked.  The stability issues also show up a bit in Lightroom Classic, but not to the same degree. These performance issues also correspond to my installing the Photoshop Beta with generative AI. I have uninstalled it, and the problem persisted, however. 

It would be very helpful if I could edit metadata, rate, cull, search, etc. photos on a shared collection with different accounts. I work at a church and we have a church owned account that uploads the photos then 2-3 other individuals who may rate, add keywords, edit, and export these photos to our website, social media, or just to share. It would be much easier if any team member could serve as a collection 'owner' and have the same permissions as the owner of the collection to edit metadata, etc. Currently it is very difficult to use Lightroom to find old photos when we are unable to remotely keyword or search the photo library.

SO MANY GLITCHES LATELY SINCE THE NEW UPDATE! Errors all over the place when saving photos, they dont download and I have to look at the list and go back to re-save each one. Also some photos will show a complely different-terribly edited-rotated version of another photo. Why?? I just spent 8 hours trying to save a completed gallery and making sure no photo was missing or messed up.    1. Version 6.4 of Lightroom from the Mac App Store  2. Mac Laptop year 2020 3. Select a group of photos to export,  whether its a group of 8 or 20 or the whole gallery. Click Export Jpeg Large and then you will get the error in the end. 4. I expect to save all photos as a whole group and for them to save no problem. But instead I get a list of errors once the export process is complete.        

Recently I moved my entire lightroom library to my external hard drive. My Drive corrupted a few days ago. Now when I open Lightroom on my laptop I can see low res versions of all my photos but there is no original source to restore them. I filtered by "error" syncing and most of my photos show up here. Is there a way to access the originals without the original hard drive ?  

Within Adobe Support Community, I don't see Adobe Portfolio as one of the products. Am I missing something? If so, where can I find it? If not, what is the best forum to submit questions on Portfolio?

Hello, I'm facing a performance issue with Lightroom CC 6.4 on my Mac Pro. The specs of my machine include the latest M2 Ultra Processor, ProDisplay XDR, 192GB RAM, 8TB NVME, and a 76-core GPU. Despite these high-end specs, I'm dealing with really poor scrolling in Lightroom - it's slow, jerky, and at times practically unusable, especially with larger photo libraries. I've even tried reformatting my Mac, but it didn't solve the problem. Please take a look at this video:https://youtu.be/IhdiEY6ZrhY This issue seems exclusive to Lightroom. When I tested the Apple Photos app with a much larger library, scrolling was fast, instant, and smooth. Moreover, basic operations in Lightroom feel cumbersome and take more time than they should, considering the hardware. These problems are seriously affecting my workflow and user experience. Any tips, updates, or workarounds from Adobe or other users would be greatly appreciated. Or perhaps filing a bug report.

When I drag the Linear Gradient in Masking, the lines are there, but as soon as I let go, they are gone!  I read that others had the same problem but it referred to Lightroom Classic and also read something about pressing the "H" (don't recall what that was about).  In any event, I want to be able to see the lines and pin(s) when I drag the gradient across an image.    The attached image shows what mine DOES NOT do.   Thank you!   Diane K.   [Subject changed from "Photoshop" to "Lightroom", as later posts clarified that the question is about LR.] [Moved to LR]

Hi, still love working with Lightroom, but I can't test or subscribe to the premium features. I tried posting here before, but this issue is not resolved. (since the beginning of June!) I had a brief conversation with an Adobe team member, but went nowhere. To sum up: I may have activated (and canceled) the trial years ago. My use case has changed and I want to purchase a subscription.But I want to try the new features out first. It wont let me. It says billing start in August. Can you please resolve this? ThanksEike      

Is there a way to autofill in lightroom ? Or have a saved address book? If not, does anyone know of a plugin that allows this?Thank you!

Hi all, I'm trying to focus stack. I select 13 photos in Lightroom and when looking for the open as layers in Photoshop option, it's nowhere to be found. I right click, nothing. I check every dropdown up top, nothing. The option to open as layers simply doesn't seem to exist anywhere.  What am I missing? Any help is greatly apprciated. 

Hallo zusammen.Wenn ich auf Presets klicke, sagt mein Lightroom "Keine Rückmeldung" Ich hab auch schon auf Version 6.4 upgdatet und bin dann wieder zurück auf die Vorgängerversion, aber das hat nicht geholfen. Ich hatte neue Presets importiert, die ich dann natürlich nicht sehen konnte, weil es sich sofort aufgehangen hatte. Aber auf dem Handy hatten sie sich alle synchronisiert. Dort hab ich dann alle gelöscht, in der Hoffnung, dass es auf dem Laptop dann wieder funktioniert, aber hat es leider nicht.Bei Maskierungen hab ich das Problem auch oft. Die gehen auf dem Handy, aber nicht auf dem Laptop.

Hi!   I'm using Lightroom 4.0 in French. The Z keyboard shortcut doesn't work as it should anymore. Instead of flagging a photo as a pick as it should, it now activates the white balance picker, which is associated to the W key and still works with the W key.   On an Azerty keyboard in France, Z is at the same spot as W on a Qwerty keyboard.   Can you fix this quickly, please? It's very painful to click the pick flag using the mouse while skimming through hundreds of pictures!   Thank you in advance! 🙂

Hello, community.Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Version 6.4MacBook Air M2. When I do the noice reduction it shows me the preview, tells me that it will be about 30 sec., does it, but I do not see the difference... It tells that will be ganareted new .DNG, but I can't find it. What I do wrong? Thanks.

Tengo un problema. Desde mi tableta (Xiaomi) no puedo abrir archivos .cr3 (Canon); los tengo que cambiar a .dng pero pierden calidad, En cambio en mi movil (iphone 11) si me permite abirar archivos .cr3. ¿Alguna solucion?  "Ya borre el cache y sigue sin resolverse" 

When I upload new pictures of people the face detection regulary identify an elbow, fingers etc as a face. Is there a way to take this away?

Hi there,Is there a version of Lightroom that I can download my RAW captures to and actually process them on an iPad.Ive just bought a Hasselblad X1DII and I need to process the images in something other than Hasselblad's Phocus software! Ideally I would really like to do this on my new 4th gen iPad Pro. I'd also like to tether the camera to the iPad and either shoot directly on to the iPad or download images to it.I would appreciate some help with this. Many thanks Nick

How to create gridlines in Lr CC?:

Bonjour, Depuis quelques jours, lorsque je lance le logiciel, ce dernier de répond pas.Aucune de mes photos chargées ne s'affiche (cf capture d'écran). Un message d'erreur apparait (cf capture d'écran). Lorsque je clique sur OK, le logiciel se ferme. J'ai vérifié la mise à jour du logiciel puis celui du PC, tout est à jour. Avez-vous déjà rencontré ce bug ? Quelles sont les solutions possibles pour palier à ce problème ? Merci d'avance !

I am having a LOT of trouble with the cloud based LR program.  It runs correctly about 90% of the time but the other 10% it drives me crazy.  Today it began acting up again. After I downloaded pic's from my HD I began reviewing them to cull the bad shots.  What happens is after I select a group, from 1 up to say 20 or 30 and hit delete they are removed. But THAT'S it. I can't delete any more pic's. I can process pic's, crop, etc., but I am unable to export them and when I try to delete any more pic's they stay in my task bar, heavily greyed out.   I can't even shut the program unless I utilize the Task Manager. I've tried uninstalling several times and nothing helps.  I'm running a Win11, 3tb SSD, i7 intel chip, high end graphics card and 32gb of memory. Version 6.4 of LR.  I have been running this set up for 2 years now without trouble. WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? THanksMike

Hey - I'm having loads of issues uploading .raf files to the lightroom cloud through the browser. I chucked in a load of files and left them to upload over night, the first 25% uploaded fine (though I cant find them anywhere in lightoom), but something interrupted the upload so it seemed to stall. I couldnt get it going again, and now I cannot upload anything at all to the cloud, everything instantly fails.   I've checked storage and it says I've used 80gb of my 1tb allowance.   Can someone please help me with the uploads?   thanks       {Thread title updated by moderator}

Hi, I've been using Lightroom CC and wanted to test the AI denoise for my wedding pictures but it seems that it doesn't work. I don't know why cause I tried following tutorials and youtube videos. When I set it to like 65 and then click the blue button to denoise it says its like rendering in DNG, but when it's finished it doesnt change my file into a DNG file or if it does idk where it saves. I tried to check on forums but I got a Panasonic GH5. My pictures are RAW in format RW2 and on the website it says that the latest version should work for panasonic GH5. Do I need to use the JPEG file instead?Thank you to whoever can try to help me fix that.
