I am trying to find the slickest solution for backing up my photos on holiday without using a laptop and then restoring them (if my CF cards fail) when I return home. My first step was to install Adobe Lightroom for iPad on my 2022 iPad Air. I then connected my Canon EOS 5D Mk III camera to the iPad using a USB 2.0 Type-B Mini to USB Type-A cable, plus an Apple USB Type-A Female to USB-C cable. I was then able to import all the CR2 raw images on my camera into Lightroom. Syncing those photos from the iPad to Adobe cloud storage and then using the Adobe Lightroom Downloader app on my Windows 10 PC provides a way to download them to the PC, but it is a very tedious business. Is there any way to export Lightroom image files (and any associated XMP files) directly from an iPad to a Windows PC?
I just watched a video from Adobe describing how to open an image in PS from LR, make an edit and save back to LR. I replicated the steps and the image is not going back to LR. Canon Raw image, "Edit in PS", make the edits and "Save". This does not result in the .tif file showing up in LR either alone or stacked with the original. My system:MacOS 12.6 on M1 MiniLR Version 5.5PS version 23.5.1 Everything is up to date. Am I missing a step? Many thanks in advance.
Spend hours edits an image and when you export, poof....everything is gone and it only exports the original imagine. This seems worthless. I've tried all formats and sizes.
I just purchased Lightroom with 1TB storage from the website. I'm having issues trying to email photos from Lightroom. Many Youtube videos suggest picking Export to Email from the File dropdown but I am not given that as an option. Any insight would be appreciated.-Mike
Did you know that you can share your photo edits with other Lightroom users? You can do this on via your desktop, mobile device, or even the web browser! Your edits can also be downloaded as presets! What you'll need: Lightroom (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Web) ➊ Choose an image you’ve edited and would like to share. ➋ Click on the share icon in the upper left > Share Edit ➌ Give your edit a title & description. Choose 1 – 3 categories. Note: If you don’t want your edits to be available as a preset, make sure to disable that option. ➍ Click share! ➎ Share your edit like with the world! My old Lenovo got to the point where it wouldn't update its operating system anymore, so suddenly Lightroom wouldn't open because the computer wasn't updated. I didn't have any idea this was happening, and now I cannot access any of the hundreds and hundreds of photos I had in Lightroom. How do I find them on the hard drive so that I can download them to an external hard drive? I have also switched to an iMac, so none of the photos I had edited on the Lenovo are showing up in the program on my Mac.
Hi,Can you change the position of the panel? On my phone in portrait mode, the panel resides at the bottom, so it doesn't interfere with my picture preview, whereas on my tablet in portrait mode, the panel resides at the right side of the screen, which shrinks my picture preview whenever I want to adjust anything. This is really annoying and I would like to place the panel at the bottom on my tablet. Also, on a side note, what does "Single Panel Mode" mean and what does it do?
I have uninstalled and installed. Tired rearly everything. I can't get into my abobe account through lightroom. A pop up message saying "Access Denied You do not have access to this service, Contact your It administrator to gain access, or sign in with an Adobe ID". Your help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
This question was brought up about two years ago but haven't seen any updates on it. https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/lightroom-mobile-export-multiple-photos-to-instagram/td-p/10670600There's still no way of posting multiple photos from mobile to instagram in one go, it's one at a time. Personally I believe this is a big thing seeing instagram etc is an important tool for reaching out and creating interest for your photos. But having to post photos one by one slows down this part of the process. The link sharing function in contrast is outstanding and enabling multiple posting on instagram would make this part of the post process so to speak, equally snappy. Any news on this matter?
HiI like to copy or move all my DNG photos captured on iPhone 6 into my computer to edit and for storage. I couldn't find any option to do that. The only options are saving (exporting/sharing) JPGs or syncing with creative cloud which is not syncing properly (another story) but still can't find any option to download or save the DNG files and I guess that is not the way you should get your images from iPhone to PC as it takes a very long time to upload them to Adobe creative cloud ...Could anyone help me to move my DNGs from iPhone to PC?Thank you.
Dear Adobe Community, I am currently cleaning up years of photos in Lightroom (Lightroom for Mac v5.5 - where the library is in the Cloud, not Lightroom Classic [LrC], as I have started my journey in the Cloud). In Lightroom, I realized that I can filter photos only by a specific location but I cannot filter my library for photos that do not have a GPS tag. I know this is possible in LrC easily with simple Smart Collections. It might be a bit of an overkill, but I was wondering if I could create a catalogue in LcR, enable Sync, and do the GPS edits there. I would assume that with Sync enabled, the changes would be written back to Lightroom. Once done, I could get rid of LrC and continue using Lightroom as usual. Does anyone have any experience with such a scenario where Lightroom is the main library but LrC is just use to augment some functionality temporarily that Lightroom does not offer? Thanks a lot for sharing.

I have created a Lightroom CC album. Each photo's metadata includes keywords in the tagging section and locations in the information section. A few questions have emerged. When I share the album, viewers can click the info button on the right to see the location and other details (image history, etc.). But how can they see the keywords? These are essential, since they contain a lot information about the content of the images. Moving beyond basic sharing, is there any way to set up a shared Lightroom album so that the metadata is searchable? I've read several postings indicating that this is not possible. Is that really true? If so, are there any other options? I'd rather not have to pay for a license on another platform like SmugMug. Thanks for your help.
it seems that its off by default, and i cant find any button to show it. for clarity, im talking about the circle that is shown on LR classic when you are brushing. thanks

En Lightroom tengo una serie de fotos agregadas. Quiero cambiar el nombre sin tener que exportar nada. Para identificar a cada persona durante la edición. El problema es que en el panel de INFO, el nombre del archivo no aparece como editable. Ayuda por favor.
Hi; My 20GB of storage is full.I would like to only store images which I identify in collections in the Adobe Cloud, but in fact it seems to have the whole of my Camera Roll in there. Is there a way to do what I want, please? TaBob

Unable to open Lightroom againHi,After a synchro error solved, Lightroom stopped working on my computer. Windows has been updated and Lightroom desinstalled and reinstalled again. Lightroom web is accessible, but Lightroom on my computer cannot be opened. What can be done next? Thanks
I recently used the "Edit Date" feature in LR to adjust the date on some GoPro images after the battery had been dead for years and they had the wrong date on them. After editing, I posted the images to Flickr and Glass via the LR Mobile "share sheet" and the images landed on those services with a very old and very wrong date (2016 rather than 2022!). It turns out, LR does not actually change the EXIF data when editing the date, and other services use the EXIF date. Please make sure EXIF data is modified, or provide us with a proper EXIF editor! And please provide a proper EXIF viewer/editor in LR cloudy 🙂
Hi, I have a problem with Lightroom Mobile: I can't use the direct import feature. When I connect my Lightning to SD adapter to the iPad, the Import from Camera Device option in the Add Photos menu remains grayed out. I know the adapter itself works properly because I can import photos into the system camera roll without any issues whatsoever. My configuration: Lightroom Mobile 5.3.1, iPadOS 13.6 running on iPad Pro 2017, Apple Lightning to SD adapter. My cameras: Panasonic Lumix GX8 and GX85. I would be grateful for any assistance, because this seriously breaks my workflow (I usually import and sort photos on my iPad before editing them on my desktop PC).
Hi all, I was using Lightroom on a noteboook that belonged to my employer, and under the assumption that the synch with the cloud was authomatic (?) , I returned the notebook; but once I installed the app on my desktop, I could ony see some part of the photos. What puzzled me and made me think the photos are somewhere there, in teh cloud, is that it was still showing me the warning that I had reached the maximum capacity for the storage included in my plan. I tried accessing my cloud, but it shows as nothing there, could there be a way to recover these photos? Thanks so much
I took 24 pictures total, 8 shots with 3 exposures and tried to HDR Pano merge with no success. The first issue I ran into was selecting all 24 photos and HDR merging them didnt include one of the 8 frames on the right most side. Then I thought of HDR merging the 24 shots to make 8 HDR shots to then merge into Panorama mode, but now it wont even complete. It gives Unable to merge error.I tried both HDR panorama merge and regular panorama merge on 8 HDR shots, neither worked.
